Lion email unable to send using Fios on any device

Hi All
All of a sudden my ability to send email using my verizon account stopped... On both lap tops, ipads and macs... What's up???

So verizon says it not on their side...
Do we expect any less from out friendly neighborhood ISPs?
So the green dot is there next to the account in connection doctor? How many accounts are we talking about? Are all your devices going to the same email account?
I suppose it is possible for something on your end to be causing this but it would either have to be a single point all the devices are going through or else it would ba a chnage you made to all devices (or the account).
If you can take the iPad to a wifi hot spot and try getting your mail. See what happens.

Unable to send iMessage's on any device on network

I am unable to send iMessages on my network on all my apple devices. I have narrowed it down to being a problem with my airport extreme. My linksys router eliminate's the problem. i have tried everything from changing settings to a factory restore with no avail. I've recently added a slingbox, but i removed that and did a factory restore and it still didnt fix the problem. Its also not an issue with an apple id becuase i have multiple ids in my household and none of their iMessages will work. I can receive messages just fine. Any ideas?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I have added a new email address but kept my Id, but I get busy when trying from iPhone to iPad as they are clashing. Like find my iPhone app hence trying to keep them all on one account

Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal.

Is it failing and giving you an error message?
Is it happening with all contacts or just one? It could be that you have an incorrect number or the number you're sending it to might not be able to receive incoming SMS

I know that it can be frustrating when an application as useful as Mail is not sending as your would expect from your account. In this situation, I would recommend working through the troubleshooting steps outlined in the attached article.

"Relaying denied" or "Email address rejected by the server" when you try to send email
This error indicates that either an email address is incorrect or your settings aren't correct for your current connection. Make sure the email address is correct for messages in the Outbox or try a different port:
If you're on a Wi-Fi network connected to the same network as your email domain, such as your Cable or DSL provider, try port 25:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your email account, then tap Account.
Scroll down and tap Outgoing Mail Server.
Tap Primary Server, then tap Server Port.
Delete the current port and enter 25.
Tap Done.
When you connect to a cellular data or a different Wi-Fi network, you need to use an alternate port and authentication, if your email provider supports it. The most common alternate ports are 465 and 587. Check with your email provider for specific settings.
If you still can't send email, you can set up an alternate SMTP server.

Automatically cc myself is not checked. I did find out that if you have multiple email address that all of them need to be associated with "My Contact" tab. Thanks

UCCX Send eMail unable to send external emails

Hi,
I created a script where it asks the user to record a prompt and then it sends that prompt as an attachment via email. I am able to get it to send the email internally on our domain, however unable to send the email externally. I did a Reactive Script debug and there are no error messages. I tried searching through the MIVR logs but cannot find anything, or don't know what to look for. Any insight? We are running UCCX 8.5 Premium. Are there any tests I can do through the CLI to test port connectivity to Exchange? It's very odd that it's able to send the email internally.

If its getting to Exchange and you are able to send emails internally but not externally, i think its an exchange issue. Maybe its because the From address is not assigned in Exchange and Exchange or your spam filter might not allow to send emails out.

Earthlink email - Unable to send but can receive

Has anyone figured out how to get mail to send from the New Pre? I have done everything humanly possible including countless hours on the phone with Palm, Earthlink, and Sprint to no avail. I'm able to receive messages but still unable to send. Please help me.

Have you tried the following earthlink setting for the outgoing server?
smtpauth.earthlink.net, use authentication.
If that doesn't work, use the sprint outgoing server,
smtp.sprintpcs.com, use authentication and no ssl.

Unable to send using MobileMe

When I try to use MobileMe on my iPhone 3Gs to send e-mails, I'm always met with the error message
"unable to connect to server smtp.mac.com"
I understand that MobileMe now uses server smtp.me.com, but the blurb suggests that it will still work with smtp.mac.com.
I've tried to change the settings on my iPhone but this doesn't seem possible ...... the areas are just greyed out.
Assuming that I need to change the outgoing server address from mac to me how can I do this on my iPhone or is this done by a sync?

On your phone, delete the Mobile Me mail accounts. Once deleted, on the phone re-enter the accounts.

We are able to send logs successfully through email (see attachment). Could you please provide more details on the issue reported. Can you also let me know which firmware version are you using on SA500? The latest firmware is 2.1.51 and can be downloaded from www.cisco.com
Also please provide us dbglogs when the issue occurs. Please change / remove all passwords before providing the dbglogs. To get dbglogs, log into SA500 web UI and in the URL type the following:

Imessage unable to send message to IOS 5 devices

I used imessage in MBA. It seems it can only connect to google talk but not ios 5 or above device. What should I do? Is any setting needed to be changed?

iMessage is Activated.
Facetime is Activated.
Don't know what is preventing me from sending over iMessage.
Receiving is no problem. Even during the the time I was trying to send.
