Lion Install will not allow me to use my Mac HD

I managed to download Lion last night using the App Store. Tried installing, I can't get past the "Select the disk where you want to install Mac OA X window. I only have one partition, 100% MAC, screen states "499.76 GM Total . 350.22 GB available. Third line "This disk is used for Time Machine backups."
This HDD is my primary drive and is backed up to an external drive, not the Mac HDD. Tried to disable Time Machine, no change, tried to reboot, several times, no change.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? I'm running 10.6 on a 18 Month old MacBook Pro. Thanks

Look in the directories for your primary drive. If there is a Backups.backupdb directory then Lion won't install as it thinks your backups are located there. If TM is backing up to an external drive, you're safe to delete this directory on your boot volume. Then Lion will install.

I wonder if the disk being referred to is actually your iPod which is not plugged in. Maybe something has stuck thinking the iPod should be there.
Try completely removing all the iTunes related programs according to this method.

Restart you PC and see if startup improves.
If it doesn't improve you need to consider the possibility that there is something else going on.
If The problem goes away, hopefully a fresh install will be OK.

Try rebooting. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPhone should restart. See if you can use it when it comes back up.

In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi.

The driver I have is the most recent version. This is a Firefox problem....fix it!
It works perfectly on Internet Explorer and worked on Firefox before the last update so it's your problem.

Please don't tell me to retry, or re check my information because it is all correct, it basically says u cannot use thi account due to it being connected to another device... which is my old fault iphone, at the apple store.

I have never before heard of cards being locked to a single device... but your case has shown me that it happens.
If I am getting it right you try to log in to your account and it asks for billing information, and when you enter your card details it tells you that the card cannot be used. What kind of peripherals are you connecting? Sometimes if an external device is drawing too much power, then it will shut down one of the USB ports. Make a test connecting two usb flash drives, it should work ok.

I suggest you go to Apple's ID site, log in and update everything. Then you will surely get a confirmation mail.
Once all is done, you will most probably be able to log in to the iTunes store again.

Command, option and escape keys held down together will open the "Force Quit" dialog window.
Quit Safari and then relaunch it while holding down the shift key.

I have a fully functional Mac Mini with the 80gig HD, I have been using it for about a year and just love it (Windows convert). I have just purchased a 160gig Lacie Brick and have decided to partition it into two 80gig partitions and use one of those partitions as a slice for a RAID 1 configuration. So basically I want to mirror my internal 80 and my external 80. When I go to DiskUtility, and attempt to create my RAID, it does not allow me drag the "Macintosh HD" to be a slice in the array. Is this because it is the boot partition? This drive is one single partition, at least from the untrained eye, I am sure there is a boot partition somewhere on it. Is this something I can even setup? DiskUtility allows me to drag the external 80 to the RAID but not the internal 80.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Don't think this is possible in a RAID configuration, since your external drive is not connected to the mini in the same manner as your internal. Normally RAID systems use the same type of controllers. If you want to backup your internal drive, try setting up a cron job that copies your data some time in the early morning...
