Lion is working for me now thats awesome
Hey everyone,
Awhile back I took Lion off my iMac because it just wasn't working well at all. I decided to leave it for awhile then I had a thought of just reformating my Mac HD and reinstalling lion back on my Mac. Well i have only had one hiccup so far and all seems to be running really well. What gives?? Anyway I am just happy with what has happened I don't know if apple made a update for the problems who knows I am just really happy it's all working like it should. I was thinking of putting windows 7 back on too or should i just leave well enough alone is it safe to run.

Here's a positive thing: Windows viruses can't run on OS X, but they can be transferred from OS X to other PCs (only if you have them on the OS X volume).

You could get a virus from a different source that infected Steam and Chrome without any problem. Viruses normally try to infect as many files and programmes as possible.

iPhones, iPads and iPods touch can't get viruses but they can transfer them to other PCs. For Windows, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials -
Have 2 iPads and 2 i phones and a late 2006 Mac with 2G dual port processors and 3 G RAM, Need lion to utilize features of iCloud linking all devices. Currently running 10.6.8 with no problem. Is it likely that Lion will work for me or am I asking to much from the Mac?

As long as it meets the minimum technical specifications, although the more above the minimum you have, the better the experience. -
Could you help me with an app situation? We purchased several codes for Splashtop to install on our iPad 2's. It was working great but now that we upgraded the OS they have disappeared. The codes that we purchased are giving us an error that they have already been used. So far it has only been 2 iPads.
Any solutions?The compiler is highlighting the areas you got wrong, although the error messages are somewhat confusing.
Error 1: NSLog is a function and needs to be called as such, see e.g. the circleArea call on the line above. Functions are called using the function-name with its arguments in paratheses e.g. foo(12, 13).
Error 2: looks like a typo, defining a function is done as function-name(... <arguments> ...) { ... <body> ...}. In your code there is a ";" between the arguments and the body that should not be there, you probably copy pasted it from the forward declaration at the top of the source codde file. -
Are there any good DVD authoring programs for Mac now that Apple has discontinued DVD Studio and iDVD? I need to make DVDs that have interactive menus and such (Final Cut X and Compressor 4's DVD option is a little cheap and doesn't provide any kind of professional DVD authoring). Any ideas?
This comes up a lot these days.
Practically speaking, there are really four options for the Mac platform: Toast (<$100), Adobe Premier Productiom ($1,600 to buy or $50/month to rent), find a copy of Final Cut Studio from 3rd party (+/- $1,000 new) or a boxed edition of iLife to get iDVD ($50 - $90 on Amazon new).
The other question everyone has is how many OS versions before iDVD or FCS breaks? No one knows, but Apple has said they're no longer supporting these legacy apps. Of course, no one is mandated to upgrade to a new OS unless they buy a new computer. So if it works on a system, stay with it as long as it makes sense.

I understand that when you originally connected your IPhone about a year ago it was recognized properly.
Now when you connect your IPhone nothing happens but it does charger it, (until you used the last cable.)

Flash Player only works for the account that downloaded it
I downloaded flash player and did not specify any special preferences, however, it doesn't work for the 2 other accounts on the computer. It only runs for the Administrator account from which i downloaded it. I'm running XP professional. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
hi, i had already deleted cookies, temp internet files, etc;
i only have the IE pop up blocker and blocking level set at Medium;
it's the latest version of FP 10.0.45.2.
I installed this version a couple of weeks ago and it worked ok for all accounts (the other 2 accounts are not admin) for a week. Then, it stopped working for all accounts, i reinstalled it (some trial and error involved), then when it finally reinstalled, only works for the one account. i just tried to reinstall from one of the other accounts and error mssg said "failed to register"

Hi ol, I would go to Tools, click on Internet Options and clear the Temp files. Delete Cookies, Delete Files, including the off line content. I would do this using all accounts. Also check the history files while you are there and delete those also unless you have done so recently.
What version of Flash Player do you have Installed?
Do you use any adblock or pop up blocker software?
