Lion keeps switching between multitasking apps automatically

Sometimes, I'm browsing the web, and Lion will slide back to my desktop, with the menu bar at the top of the screen (the white one) still showing Opera as the active application. Then, after a few seconds, it'll switch back. Then back again. It happens during casual browsing, when I'm filling out an HTML form (like this one), and in applications besides Opera, like iTunes, Mail and Final Cut.
I've tried killall Dock and restarting the Finder through the force quit menu, to no avail. What's left?

Ok, maybe it's not called expose anymore. But "Show Desktop" is alive and well in Lion.
Just to humor me, what gesture shows up in System Preferences (trackpad, mouse, whatever) for "Show Desktop"? Try "Show Desktop" and see if that isn't the phenomenon you are experiencing.
Also: Do you have multiple desktops enabled? Is the desktop which is being revealed a different desktop? Or the same one?

Double tap Home button, delete Mail from multitask-bar.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

My Mas Air keeps switching between applications

Anyone has this problem? Since i upgraded to Maverick, my system keeps switching between apps without any interventions, i dont even touch the laptop and it does.

I will try this cause yes I am using Google Drive. Another thing I noticed doing more test is that in fact the switch of apps that is occuring is all link to the FINDER. this is the application that goes in the back and comes back in the front of other apps all the time. I moved it to my monitor and the switch occurs there, if I close or minimize it, all is good.

Is there any way to reverse the "swipe to switch between fullscreen apps" controls?

I feel like the "swipe left to go to the app to the left" is actually counter-intuitive, especially when they were thinking about a touchscreen when designing this OS. The scrolling, though most people aren't used to it on a computer, makes sense because you move the page in the direction as if you were moving a physical page. The switching between fullscreen apps is the opposite and isn't natural for me, especially since I have been using an iPhone and iPad for a couple years now. Is there any way of reversing this control? If not, I think they should do the same thing that they did with the "natural" scrolling and have a checkbox to give you the option of either way.

I didn't see anything in the trackpad preferences as far as direction of the swipe. If anyone else can find it, I would love to be able to reverse it.

My 3GS keeps switching between iPhone speaker and Dock connector and I don't know how to keep it on iPhone speaker so I can listen to my music and games. Is it hardware or software problem?

I was told by a friend that sometimes when you use a 3rd party charger that the connectors are not the same size and so it can affect the sensors in the phone and make it seem like it is in a docking station and so changes the output for dock speakers. With that said, I didn't take my pohone in to be serviced at the appple store because it was a 3GS and over 2 years old and so not covered by any service plan. Since then my phone is back to normal and I can use my headphones and listen with the speakers on the phone. I stoped using the suspected cheap 3rd party charger and maybe that's what did it, but not sure if it was or wasn't the cause of my problem. I'm glad that my phone is better I was kinda holding out for the Iphone 5 when i comes out later and hope my phone lasted until then.

Every time i switch between patches they automatically mute?

Hi I've recently started using Mainstage 2 and i've got my basic set up sorted and some sound i like. However every time i switch between the patches, it automatically mutes it which makes it pointless for me to use live as i'll have to keep going back to my laptop to unmute the sound and I like the idea of being able to let the previous patch ring out over the new patch.
Any suggestions?

Not exactly clear what you mean...
a) Software Instrument patches normally do allow the sound of currently playing notes to carry over, unless you have specifically selected "Instantly silence previous patch' in the Patch attributes Inspector.
b) Audio channels default to having a 20 second 'overlap'.. see Preferences:Audio
c) or maybe you mean that when you change a patch, the previous patches channel strips are actually Muted?? This could be that you (accidentally) saved them that way, and the MS preferences are set to revert to the Saved state (Preferences;General:On Patch Change)????

ADSL keeps switching between 'fast' and 'interleav...

I wonder if you could tell me if there is some reason why my line profile / ADSL latency keeps being switched between 'fast' and 'interleaved'. Everytime it is switched from interleaved to 'fast' I lose download speed. It has just changed again today and as a result my download speed has (according to my BT Home Hub Manager) dropped from 6.3MB (yesterday) to 3.2MB (now). Is it possible to have the line profile left as 'interleaved' so that I can enjoy the extra download speed ?

I am having trouble charging an IPad it keeps switching between two icons help!!

Hi I have been trying to charge an IPad (not a mini) that has gone flat. However whenever I plug it in to charge it keeps flashing between the red battery screen, the one that says the IPad is dead but charging, and the start up screen with the apple icon. I have tried several different charger cables, power sources such as the computer and I switched the boxes the cables plug into however this had no effect. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can use CTRL+# to switch between Code and Design View.

Strange Battery problem, keeps switching between 99%/100%

My battery keeps flashing between being at 99% and 100%. The Amber/green light on the power adaptor also keeps flashing green and amber.
What could be causing this. I have all the latests updates as far as i can tell. Anyone have any ideas?
I also did just get my MacBook back from apple. The hard drive died and they replaced that.

I had that problem with my macbook previously too. I searched through the forums and i found that the people who had that problem were able to get it replaced (the battery) with apple. I got my battery replaced (with a new one i believe) and it no longer does it. I don't know if there is a fix apart from simply replacing the battery
You should either call applecare or head over to an apple store. Though depending on their supplies, you may have to leave your macbook there for a while. perhaps you can call ahead and ask.

MBP keeps switching between charged and charging

After updating to 10.5.6 my MBP has started switching between charged and charging once the charge reaches about 96%. I've tried resetting the SMC but hasn't helped. I'm trying to calibrate the battery now but it is a very slow process since charging the last 4% seems to take forever.
Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

The 10.5.6 changes to the battery menu must have been more than removing from menu options then because I had to turn off the text the continuous switching between charged and charging became too visually distracting.

Display keeps switching between primary and clone.. I think.

My laptop, Pavilion DM3, keeps switching displays by the screen blacking out yet the computer still running. If a video is playing for example I can still hear the audio but the screen goes black. Some little musical tone plays when it switches and sometimes I get a little notification box that pops up saying the optimal resolution for clone display is... or it will say the optimal resolution for the primary is...
It's incredibly frustrating. Sometimes it only happens once every few minutes and sometimes it happens once every few seconds. I usually press ctrl+alt+f3 which works but it's annoying to have to keep doing it. I took it to Best Buy and they reinstalled the drivers and said that should work and if it doesnt then the next step is to ship it off to HP and that could take weeks. The problem is I'm currently in grad school and this is my only computer. I can't go weeks without my laptop even if it means having my screen black out every few seconds. Hopefully it really is just a setting or something or a software thing that I can fix myself with the help of you fine people.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion dm3 with Windows 7 64bit. Intel Pentium processer U5400. Optimal resoolution is 1366x768. Graphics is Intel HD Graphics(integrated I believe?) 4 GB memory, 500GB hard drive. I've had the laptop may six weeks and it's been having the issues for about two weeks.

On Mountain Lion, when switching from any app. to finder, when getting to finder I could see my desktop, it no longer works what Have I done?

Well, I guess I wrote everything in the question.
But to repeat myself, when I first got Mountain Lion I was so sooth to see that when I was switching to finder from any other application (using the cmd+tabs buttons) I could see instantly my desktop meaning: the screen without any other windows, the desktop!! With the wall picture and the few folders lingering there.
But for some reason, it doesn't do it anymore...
Was it only an short appercu... only to make me hope that they finally... humm... some frustration with the ...
Anyhow I would appreciate any help.

Try Safe Boot, then see, and boot into ML Recovery too and check your system drive.

Many websites also have an app available to use instead of the website. There is often a link on the page that will take you to the app in the App Store so you can download the app. Be careful you tap while on the website to avoid those links. Unfortunately sometimes the website will take you directly to the App Store instead of keeping you on the website. Not much you can do about it except to ignore those websites if they irritate you.
