Lion Terminal Application key sequence "cntl-shift-E-c-." doesn't work???

This key sequence "control shift E c ." terminates my Linux console application session which used to control a second Linux session
If I am unable to enter it, I must end the terminal window to end the console session
The sequence worked on Snow Leopard by default, but does not work on the Lion Terminal Appication
I get a "beep" when entering the E
Anyone solved this problem?

Although I haven't tried it yet, I think the "Return-Tilda-Period" sequence will drop my ssh connection
made to my desktop linux system (where I was running the console command) and end the console command
I really wanted to preserve the terminal log files on the MacBookPro
I went to the Los Gatos Apple Store Genius bar this morning with 2 MacBookPros (Lion and Snow Leopard)
After a lot of experimentation, DJ was able to discover that control prefaced commands are insensitive
to case on Lion. They are always upper case. So am able to terminate the console command run
from an ssh session on my desktop linux workstation using Terminal from the the MacBookPro (Lion)
using the sequence cntl-e-. which is passed through
Control C will not work, this sequence cntl-Ec puts the input into a mode where around 20 commands
can be passed to the console application. These commands include buffer playback form the console
input-output log, bumping a user who had attached before you, disconnect, and some others
Background:
The linux "console" application attaches the caller to the serial console port of a connected linux system
The sequence with the shift key I use on a lot of terminal emulatiors (Windows putty, other linux terminal
simulators, the "Termainal" app on Snow Leopard all accepted this command sequence (cntl-shift-E-c-.)
and passed it to the application that was connected. Now I am able to disconnect from Lion without killing
the MacBookPro Terminal session

Have you enabled it on the iPhone/iPod Touch and iTunes
Once you have done this you need to ensure they are on the same WIFI network, If you have less than 50% power on the device then plug it into the mains.
You can then force the first sync in the settings>general>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync menu

Creating a new library with 'Shift/Start iTunes' doesn't work

I'm trying to start a new library, but pressing Shift when I start itunes doesn't work. It takes me to my existing library.
I've uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, and completely deleted any other libraries.
Any ideas how I can start a new library any other way?

Perhaps I wasn't holding the shift key long enough - you presumably must keep holding it until the 'choose library' dialog actually pops up. I was releasing it after I'd clicked the 'start itunes' button.

I have seen this with AIM Logins that use the SSL Server and not the original server that was non SSL
Since iChat 6 the server name has also changed as has the Login port (Although we were suggesting using the port 443).
The AIM SSL server "Falls Over" more frequently than the other server.
Also iChat/Messages reconnects automatically to the NON SSL server but not to the SSL one (It is a security risk)
You had to manually Log out by Untick "Enable this Account" then Log back in again.
I have not seen this happen in Jabber accounts but I don't use my computer the same way you do.
Jabber Servers tend to either use SSL or Not and can rarely login if you change to not using SLL.
It also seems a bit strange that Disabling the account, as you phrase it, and re-enabling does not work.
For Googletalk Logins try logging out then changing the port to 443 (Googletalk allows this port as well as 5223)
Also check the Keychain (Applications/Utilities > Keychain Access) and see if there is an issue with any Gmail or Googletalk certificate.

Shift, caps lock doesn't work

i just upgraded to tiger finally from panther - easy set up, nothing fancy - and my shift key no longer works, nor does my caps lock or num lock. hence i can't capitalize anything and am unable to use keyboard shortcuts in safari or anything else. the keys do work in word, excel and other office apps and so do other f keys except num lock, but that's it. i had to go under edit just to copy and paste my login since i can't even type the at symbol in my email address.
is this a setting or should i reinstall - can't even type a question mark. this didn't happen with panther, just since the upgrade.
any suggestions[question mark would go here if i could type it] please help - thanks

1. How did you install Tiger? Upgrade Install, Archive & Install, or Erase & Install?
2. I suggest you begin troubleshooting using the Procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
3. An errant Startup or Login Item maybe the cause, especially if you installed some third-party utility under Panther for customizing your keyboard or defining your own keyboard shortcuts. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.

Redirect of ADF application in WebLogic 10.3.4.0 doesn't work

I am using source code developed using Jdev11.1.1.3. I recently installed Jdev 11.1.1.4 and added the application built using Jdev11.1.1.3 and deployed on the local server. Once I login, I get error page. I am not getting any errors on the console but i get error page in the browser.
Once the login is successful i am forwarding the user to the new url as below

A couple of ideas to try...
use the debugger and step through your code to find out where the error occurs

Rethrow your caught exceptions so that you will see them in the console/log

How do I change the brush/curser size in Blender, if fn shift up/dwn doesn't work? scroll wheel or page up/dwn are first choice..

In order to change the area of influence in Blender for proportionsl editting you need to change the curser using the scroll wheel, but i dont have one.

You would make this a little easier if you posted a link to the page.
Most of the jump seems to be some extra padding or margin between the tabs when you rollover, but I am not able to find it. Is there any other css that is governing this page? I did remove a couple of set of tags you had and it improved the jump, but it is still there.
If the page is live, run it through the validator http://validator.w3.org/ , fix whatever errors it finds, if you still have the jump, post a link to the page and the issue might get found.

The 7 key doesn't work after lion install

The 7 key on my MacBook pro keyboard doesn't work following lion installation. (I'm using my iPad right now obviously!)
When I press 7, basically random stuff will come out. A set of 3 to 5 random numbers or some "command" that whatever program I am in doesn't recognize.
I tried rebooting. I have no idea where to even begin, help!

And of course this morning all keys are back to working again! But last night it was 7, J, U gibberish.
At first glance it does seem like something that might be a hardware problem, but I am deeply suspicious of coincidences like this. I'm kind of like house md that way I guess. Especially when at least two of us experienced this.
I think I will also wait for the next software update and see if that helps. At least I have my iPad to use when the keys are on the fritz.

Shift + t doesn't work!

on my macbook white (MacBook 5,2 Mac OS X 10.6.3) when i use 'shift + t' , it doesn't work. it suppose to make the 't' capital but it doesn't happen. nothing happens on using 'shift+t'.
there is no problem with the hardware/keyboard as 'shift+any other key' works fine. there is no difference between the left and right shift key. this problem is application independent, meaning the problem is present in all the programs.
If have to type capital 't' then i have to use the caps lock.
Kindly look into this matter and help me out.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Shift-z on my Macbook pro doesn't work.

I've got a Retina Macbook Pro and I can't type a capital z. For some reason shift-z just doesn't work. Shift + any other key works fine. I can also use caps lock to create a capital z.
I checked keyboard, accessibility and speech settings to see if it was somehow mapped as a keyboard shortcut, but could not find anything.
Help. I don't want to create a new user (new profile) which I suspect will solve the problem. Is there any way that I can reset all of my shortcuts?

Applications quitting unexpectedly and Force Quit doesn't work

Hi there -
Hoping someone can help me out because this is driving me crazy! For the last week or so, probably 75% of the time that I save my work on word, excel or numbers the application stops responding. Force Quit either doesn't work or takes an extraordinarily long time to work and I end up restarting the computer. A few times during these episodes, Finder also stops responding, in which case I can't even restart appropriately. I'm wondering if an upgrade to 10.6 would fix this issue or if I should be doing something else instead to avoid total hard drive failure! Thanks for any help you can offer.

Ok, so day 2 of getting updated software (my office for mac was way out of date and so the mac genius proposed that i try that and see if it solved the issue) installed and then updated and i'm still having the same issues. Happened in Mail today for the first time - went to attach something and mail stopped responding, wouldn't force quit. Mac Genius also told me to try a different account on the computer to see if that account has problems, so I logged out of the account I normally use, and the computer wouldn't log out - just showed my desktop photo and no other options for the longest time. Eventually just shut down the machine, logged in as a different user and seems that everything works fine when I do this.
Thoughts on how to start fixing what seems to be communication (maybe indexing problems) on the account I normally use?
