Lion web server only displays html... I need help!

none of my external files linked up properly, but when i view the page in out of the localhost (file://Volumes...etc) everything works fine.. Any ideas?

If appears there is a Leopard Server firewall here, and a second and outboard and NAT-capable firewall here, but only the configuration of the latter is mentioned. Anything interesting in the Leopard Server firewall logs?
If this is dual-NIC box (eg: an up-rated Mac Pro box or an Xserve), this could easily be a local IP configuration issue on the box.
As for some additional tests, here are the classics:
dig -x ipaddr - from inside and outside your network.
traceroute ipaddr - from inside and outside your network.
Another test is to set up a real (test) web server at the external static address, and see if that works; start eliminating pieces from the puzzle. This would eliminate the NAT layer, for instance.
The domain does resolve to the specified IP address from out here, both the example.com domain and the www.example.com host resolve to the specified address. So this does look local; router, firewall, NAT, etc.
I've learned to trust all "it was working before" statements after applying appropriate verification, and to occasionally use a second set of eyeballs to make sure I've entered the IP addresses correctly.

I would suggest to go for You tube videos (type learn SSIS or begin SSIS step by step) you will get lot of good tutorials to start with.

Web-browser only display Summary Status and no menu for configing

Guys,
I have 4 Cisco Aironet 1140. I open a web browser IE 8 and type their address "http://<ip address>". Then I enter my username and password in the browser and successfully login to the access point.
But, There is something strange, why I only see Summary status of my access point after the login process success??? I can't config anything...
I add a new username and use highest privilage, but the result still the same. Same unusual web display, only displaying summary status of the access point, I can't config ssid, vlan, etc.
Here's my configuration:
username Zicco privilege 15 password 7 123A551A02055F106B

Hi George, today we solved the problem. With adding this command: "config(terminal)#ip http authentication local" all of 5 access points now able to managed via web browser.
Sometimes, we can use access point's web browser without adding this command. But in my cases, only using command of"ip http server" isn't enough. You must add "ip http authentication local" command to your configuration. I dont know why.
And we must have at least one: username <username> privil 15 pass <password> that is full privileged user to use as username and password logon in your access point browser. Otherwise we can't logon to our access point.

I'm pleased that someone benefitted from my experience.
You askes about forms server and forms 6i. This is what I found. You will need forms_server on the middle tier machine, and Oracle recomend that you install Forms 6i as well - they say that you should really complie your forms on the middle tier machine, rather than just copy the .fmx files over. I personally have both Forms 6i and forms_server installed, and this is working fine. However, when I tried to install reports_server this caused the forms_server to stop working. This is because they both use certain files that get overwritten by the second product that you install (eg. if you install forms_server first and then reports_server, then reports will work, but form won't; and vice versa). I raised this issue with Oracle Support, but they couldn't come up with an answer, and I've seen other people write about this problem on this board. Luckily we decided not to use Report 6i at all, so it wasn't an issue for me, but if you want to have forms_server and reports_server on the same machine you may have problems. Sorry I don't know what the solution is. But to repeat, please do NOT install OAS at all. It's totally un-necessary.

Web server type of standalone oc4j needed for SSL Certificate

We have a standalone oc4j 10.1.3 that hosts an application whose many of its pages use https and so we need to buy SSL certificate from any of CAs like Verisign, GeoTrust, etc.. All of these CAs are asking us about the web server type that the standalone OC4J uses. I read the following statement from this url:

"communications in a standalone environment is provided through the built-in *_OC4J Web server_*, which supports HTTP and HTTPS communications natively without the use of the Oracle HTTP Server"
On all of the SSL certificate systems of above CAs websites, they ask us to choose the web server type from a list of server types but I don't see OC4J web server listed and I am told that it is very important to make sure the web server type is correct otherwise the SSL Certificate that we buy may not be compatible with our web server type.
So, I like to know the exact built in web server type name that goes with Standalone OC4J or one that is closest and for which SSL Certificate is compatible.
Shown below is a list of web server types that I am asked to choose from on Verisign website.The closest to standalone oc4j according to below list is Oracle Wallet Manager but isn't this meant for Oracle Application Server (OAS) and not the standalone OC4J? we are using the java keytool to generate the CSR that we look to sign it via the verisign but again we are not sure about the web server type in the case of standalone OC4J that is not listed below. Please advice and thanks in advance to any of your responses in helping out.

WEB UI- only Display authorization for LEADS to users

I have a requirement like i need to give only display authorizations for users to leads.
I have created a new business role and assigned only search links. but in that search link we have Create New option. How i need to disable this.

Hi Ajay,
First of all, It is possible to disable the New button on the Search page without any code change. There is an SPRO setting which is to be done in order to achieve this.
You might have created a new z navbar profile as you have created a new business role as per your business requirement.
Lets take an example, you want to disable the New button on Contact Search Page. follow these steps:
1.Go To T. code /ncrmc_ui_nblinks
2. Select the Z navbar profile you have created for your business role
3. Double Click on "Define Generic OP Mapping" in left hand side
4. Select Object Type as BP_CONTACT and remove the Following entry
BP_CONTACT D Create MD-BPCP-CR MD-CONP-SR
Please note the Obj. Action here D Create, if you remove this entry it means you are disabling the Create Action for this business role for object Contact.

Web server only accessible via intranet lan.. help!

This is really making me nuts, and my brain is dry at the moment. I have reinstalled my Leopard Server twice, and I don't manage to solve this. It was working before upgrading to Leopard, so I don't know what the catch is.
I set up a couple of websites via SA, as always. And I can only access them from our internal network (192.168.1.100, the server's IP) and from our fixed IP address (80.39.112.16) only when we are in the same lan. If you open 80.39.112.16 or the domain name www.i-publishingservices.com, DNS hosted at Network Solutions, it does not open.
It is not a firewall issue (I have all web ports open and it does not work with the firewall deactivated either) and I don't think it is a router thing, as it was working before. The router has NAT translation on, and serving all ports to 192.168.1.100, the server's internal IP.
Any ideas? Maybe it has to do with our internal DNS? We've never used the DNS service...Maybe there should be a www user in the Workgroup Manager? I am really lost. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

OSX Lion Web Server

I'm having trouble setting my macbook as a web server.
I recently had MAMP installed, but I uninstalled it from my laptop.
When I turn on the Web sharing and click on the localhost links. I'm getting an error, the index.html that is suppose to be populated doesnt show up. (chrome) (sarafi shows a blank page)

In general, you may be able to recover from configuration damage done by a third-party package installation, if you don't mind using the command line. You can try the following:
cd /etc/apache2
diff -ub httpd.conf.default httpd.conf
That should show you any differences between the default Apache config file and the active one. If you do see differences, you should be able to recover "factory settings" by continuing:
sudo cp httpd.conf.default httpd.conf
sudo apachectl restart

Flash Player is causing my Web Pages to flash like crazy Need help!

Already checked the Event Viewer. The only thing I could find is this critical level event
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
This only happens when I am running a flash video in IE10. In Chrome everything works fine. I downgraded flash player to 11.4 but with no luck.
From the event viewer, the reboots started from sometime in september.(this is my parents' pc)
I think I found the problem. I changed my video card, a 9600GT, a few months ago with a GT630. I switched back to the 9600GT, and it looks like the issue is not happening any more. But it's still verry ackward for the issue to happen only on IE10.
I'm still testing to be sure that the video card is the problem.

I am trying to learn something new here. We have web server inside our organization its IP address is 172.16.0.35. We want outside Internet users to access web server, How is it possible? Please have a look at the running configuration. Web server is working inside the organization but not at outside. Our Static Public IP is 197.255.232.15 it is assigned to Inetrface Gigabit ATM0.1 and ISP default GW is 197.255.232.1. Let me know whats next? How do I make web server inside the organization available for outside Internet users. Thank you.

Preview in firefox only displaying HTML and CSS code

For some reason, when I go to preview my page in my browser (latest version of Firefox), I've been trying new things out from what I've been seeing at alt-web.com, and copying a lot of their code to experiment with is the only time I have this issue.
