Lip Service like from Nextstep

Just watching an old Next video on YouTube and during the video while sending an email Steve Jobs sent a Lip Service in his email. Cool little feature of NeXT Mail that allowed you to quickly record and embed a voice message in an email. I used to have a NeXTcube and always thought that feature was cool. I know we have iChat nowadays but when you are not logged on, would be cool to send an email with Lip Service like in NeXTstep days. Sometimes you just can't express something in text like you can with voice.
Here is the YouTube video. I think this feature was real cool.

Hi Rami,
In SRM70 the service hierarchy sturcture is not support in SRM PO, Hence you cant see the same in SUS PO.
Service Hierarchy is supported in Classic mode only(i,e PO has to  be created in ERP)

  • Cannot download files from services like Rapidgator any longer

Use Firefox as my browser. High speed connection via Comcast on a 1-year old HP laptop running Windows-7, protected by Kaspersky.
This just started yesterday afternoon - when trying to "Download" a File from services like RAPIDGATOR
when I hit the "Download" button it just goes to "Searching" and the file never opens. This is also happening with other file services I subscribe to. I have already deleted my "History" and "Cookies" and it did not help. Also tried to download with Kaspersky turned off, that did not help.
    any ideas?

We are experiencing some proxy issues, this bump should be cleared up shortly with version 18.0.1 to land.
    Thank You!

  • Creation of Sales Order and Service Contract from Inbound IDOC

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to create a Sales Order as well as a Service Contract from one Inbound IDOC. I am getting the Inbound IDOC from a third Party. The message type is ORDERS and Basic Type is ORDERS02. How ever i am using an extension type IDOC which carries all the required data for Sales Order and Service Contract. My requirement is like, to create a Sales Order first.
I have created a Z FM which is attached to the Process Code and subsequently to the message type. Inside the FM i an calling FM 'IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS' for creation of Sales Order. After that i am changing the IDOC data for the Document Type. I am changing the document type which is responsible for Contract Creation.
Then I am again calling the FM 'IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS' for creation of Contract with the help of IDOC data. But here the Contract is not getting created. It's getting failed during the Batch input session.
I need to solve this problem as soon as possible. Please help me. If there are any other options also please share.
    Thanks in Advance.

Actually there is problem with BDCDATA. Inside the FM it's calling transaction with help of BDCDATA. If i am creating a Sales order or contract alone its creating successfully. But when i am trying to create both, it's retuning sy-subrc '1001' after calling the transaction on the second attempt. Is there any problem with BDCDATA like we can't handle with less time gap? Please help and give your inputs.

  • Creation of Service Contract from Inbound IDOC

    Hi Experts,
I am using Inbound IDOC type ORDERS02 with message type ORDERS for creation of Sales Order. Now my requirement is like to create a  Service Contract from that Inbound IDOC. The IDOC type contains all the data require to create a Service Contract. The scenario is like, after creation of Sales Order it will check for the corresponding Service Contract exits or not by querying on a Z table which contains all those entries.
So my idea is to create a Z Program, in which it will check for the Service Contract and will create the same by reprocessing the same IDOC or by calling some Function Module. Please suggest how shall i proceed to create a Service Contract.
Is there any way to reprocess the IDOC or to collect the Data from the IDOC segments pass them to a FM which is responsible for creation of Inbound IDOC. Please suggest if this is feasible.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Web Service (SOAP) From Oracle Forms

From the exaples of calling web services (soap) from pl/sql, it seems very poor and troublesome. I've seen a few articles with good points about why not to do this from pl/sql. So, I was hoping someone in the forums could share their opinions and approaches to using web services from forms based applications. I would ideally like to hear reasons people chose not to use pl/sql.

There are some examples of calling web services from forms on the Forms OTN page - works fine although I would encourage the use of the new JVM pooling features as this will aid scalability and performance.

  • Use Service URL from OWSM Gateway in Service Registry

    Hi,
Is there a scenario in which the Service URL from the OWSM gateway is used in the UDDI registry?
    Eg:
WebService <--------> OWSM Gateway <----------> OSR (UDDI)
Any information on this is much appreciated
    Regards

    Hi Vikas,
    Well..you don't registrate a gateway in uddi.
When you registrate a service in owsm, it will generate a new wsdl for you. This wsdl you just need to registrate in uddi just like any other service with wsdl-interface.
So the authentication fields aren't in uddi configered either...those are just a policy step in owsm. Overthere you can decide how to propegate the values of username/password etc

  • Call external service in a Application service created from ES

    Hi Experts
    I have the follow situation:
I've modeled a new service in Enterprise Service Builder. This service i'll implement in caf application. In the method create by application i'll call one method of external service.
I imported this modeled service in Create Web Service Provider option in external package, select the Enterprise Service Repository source option and choice the respective Service Interface.
In this moment the caf created a new application service, with methods of modeled service. That's all right.
Now i import a external service of esworkplace. All the step are ok. But the problem is going to next step.
I need to call this imported service in the method of application service. I know 3 way to do this:
    1. Mapping the external service with this application service. In this case i have a problem - the method of external service is expose as web service, and i don't want this. Just the method of modeled service must be expose.
    2. Create another application service, map the external service with this application service, and create a depency between this application service and the application service created by modeled service. I think this work fine and resolve the problem of expose the method of external service. However i think this isn't a good way to do.
    3. Instantiate the service class of exernal service. From this class i can call the method of external service in application service. But now i have another problem. If i see the implementation of this class, it have a static block which call a URL class, and pass as parameter a wsdl file located in one directory of my computer like
    url = new java.net.URL("file:/D:/SAP7110Workspace.jdi/LocalDevelopment/CRVP/demo.sap.com//ejbmodule/
    _comp/tmp/0/EJB/src/META-INF/xml/ext/rootwsdl_WorkCentreSimpleByPlantQueryResponse_InService.wsdl");
when execute the application in the server it don't find this file and i give one error.
I think the best way to do is the 3° way. But why did the caf generate the URL with My computer directory instead of in directory of application? There are some solution to this problem?
I've change this line manualy, but all the time when i generate the project, i need change this code again.
    Regards
    Marcos

    Hi,
You may consume external service via JNDI
    Context context = new InitialContext();
    <JNDI OBJECT> local = (<CAST JNDI OBJECT>)context.lookup("<JNDI OBJECT>");
    //Call the method
If you are using CE 7.11, go to NWA -> Problem Management -> JNDI browser  > ..... -> ObjectName for <JNDI OBJECT>

  • Configuring SSL to make a HTTPS web Service call from XI

    Hi All,
We are making a <b>https web service call</b> using soap adapter from XI. Looking at the various posts and SAP help links, we are configuring SSL for the same.
The procedure given in SAP help has been followed to configure SSL but with no luck. If someone had done this could you please give a <b>step by step procedure</b> to configure SSL, we might have missed out on something.
Also are there are <b>any other settings apart from SSL</b> to be done to make a  https web service call using soap adapter from XI.

It would probably help if you could post what code you've got and explain which function(s) it's complaining about, as I doubt people will want to guess.

  • Completely different AMF request packets for same remote service call from Flex to PHP using ZendAMF

I was trying to debug why one of the remote-services in our Flex application was failing randomly. What I found was interesting. Completely different AMF request packets were sent for same remote service call from Flex to PHP.
When the service call succeeds the AMF request packet looks like the following:

It looks like your database is using automatic service registration (most do these days) in which case entries in the listener.ora aren't generally needed.

  • Middleware-Replicating service transaction from CRM to R/3

    Hi Experts
We are using the transaction SRVO( Service Transaction) in CRM and it has to be replicated to the R/3.
    Can anybody tell me
1.what is the load object for replicating this transaction ?
2.Do i need to make any settings in R/3 for the replication ?
3.Do i need to create one new transaction in R/3. If so where i have to create the transaction ?
    4. What would be the document type category of the replicated transaction ?
    Thanks in advance
    Nadh.
    Message was edited by:
            Nadh R

    Hi Nadh,
Service transactions are replicated to R/3 as sales order, with sales items only.i.e. item category SRVS.
You need to maintain the similar settings as you do while replicating a sales order from CRM to R/3.
    1. Create a order type in R/3 with the same name SRVO (Tcode: VOV8)
    2. Create the item categories with the same name as being determined in the service order (Tcode: VOV7) e.g. SRVS
    3. Mainatin item category determination, the way it is maintained in CRM (Tcode: VOV4)
Other than this, assign an external number range to your order type SRVO which is same as the internal number range of CRM. Ensure that the customer master and product also exist in R/3.
Before replicating a service order from CRM to R/3, Create a dummy sales order in R/3 (VA01) with order type SRVO (only for checking purpose)and your sales area, put the customer master and material and check if the transaction is complete. If not you will have to first remove the incomplete stuff, than only an order will get replicated error free.
If you get incompletion items like Plant, shipping point, contact a SD consultant or post another thread.

  • CRM- Find Service contract from Internal Order Number

    Hi Friends,
I would like to know how to get service contract from internal oredr number.
From service contract we can find internal order number by using CRM_ORDER_READ function module- table et_document_flow, but my requirement is how to find service contract from Internal order number.Any function module or BAPI available for this requierement ?
    Regards
    Vinayak Sapkal

    Hi,
when the costs are transferred from CRM to R3, they are posted to an internal order. When a service order or incident is transferred to R3, we have to create an internal order for it, regardless of whether or not a contract has been assigned.
This is all linked to the logic used in CO to find the appropriate internal order. It works as follows:
The internal order is stored in the table IAOM_ASSIGNMENTS. This is accessed by a guid (the account assignment guid).
To get this guid, there is a second table IAOM_EXT_OBJ_INF. This table links the GUIDs coming from CRM, dependent on the CO Customizing for CRM (Mass Controlling, Header level, item level controlling etc.)
This is how we manage to link a service order to the internal order of a contract in the first place.
When we call CO, CO first looks for an assignment for the object guid passed. If a service order has been linked to a contract, nothing will be found for the object guid. CO will then check for assignments to the reference guid and find the contract entry.
If no contract has been assigned, CO will create an internal order based on the service order guid.
From a CRM point of view, costs are assigned directly to an item, and so it makes no sense to have a reference guid for the costs or the possibility to change the guid via BADI.

  • Special Character XML Web Service call from Flex

    Hi,
Let me first give a little background.
I have to query and return data in XML format. To do so, I have created a custom DSC component. In cases where XML has special characters, LC throws error saying that XML is not properly formed. To over come this issue I used CDATA tag at DSC component. Now LC works as it should and I returns correct result.
I have a web service call from Flex to get this XML result. Every time i trigger this web service I get an error message saying </document> tag is missing.
I understand in Flex, web service returned data is wrapped in CDATA tag, thats what i causing all this issue.
I am not sure, how to handle this situation, I am sure this is a common problem and there should be ways to work around it.
I would really appreciate if any one could point me in the right direction.
    Thank you ..

The web service has four operations in it, I need pingQuery operation execution code since it doesnot need any input value.
I have used code something like this.. Any one please correct me if I am wrong..
