Liquify won't save in CC

Tried using the liquify command in PS CC, everything worked fine but when I went to save/exit I got an error message:
"The operation could not be completed
a write permissions error has occurred"
I had no option but to hit 'cancel' and lose my adjustments. Being a big fan of Liquify this is a nightmare. Anyone else seen this? Anyone got any thoughts what might be the problem?
While I'm here I've been finding 14.2 a bit buggy in general, I just had to shutdown because I lost all my dialogs. After using the 'crop' tool, I went to right click to bring up my brush menu only to find it empty, just the blank rectangle. I soon realised that this was the case with every dialog and drop down, including the menu bar, panels, the lot. This is the second time it's happened, not happy!!
Fortunately I was able to use shortcuts to save & exit my files, but having to restart is a major PITA, is it just me? Thanks in advance!
PS: Just remembered the mini-bridge wont work either, it just fails to load!
Do I need to reinstall? cry? top myself?

Hey snapshot I don't know if you solved your problem yet or anybody else with the similar error. My friend had the same problem and he's not very good with computers so asked for my help. And the solution was really easy, i did what all forums said and nothing, even reseting the computer permissions booting the OS.
what worked for his computer was this advice posted by adobe staff:
To fix the permission:
- Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user library folder is now listed below the current user's home directory. Click and open the library folder.
- Select the Preferences folder. Press command-I to get Info. Expand sharing and permssions at the bottom of the Get Info dialog. Select your user name, the one with (me) after it and make sure Read & Write privileges are set, not Read Only.
- If that folder is ok move down to the Adobe folder in Preferences and do the same check.
- If that folder is ok move down to the Plugins folder in the Adobe folder and do the same check. I suspect this is the bad one.
The thing is that he didn't had the plugins folder mentioned above. But the adobe folder mentioned above also once i pressed COMMAND + I had the administrator rules set for READ AND WRITE, staff READ ONLY. and everyone READ ONLY. It asked me the password to alter this two options and after I changed them to READ AND WRITE, voila. Liquify and lens corrections working perfectly.

Liquify won't save

I just bought Creative Cloud, and in Photoshop, "liquify" doesn't save. I can make all the changes I like to the image, and when I click "Ok," I get a message reading, "A write permissions error has occurred." No, it just confirms that there are one or more folders in your preferences path without proper write permissions.
To fix the permissions for your original user account:

Photoshop cc liquify won't save :(

So I have just downloaded photoshop cc and if I try to use liquify it has this error message :
I can't fathom what is wrong, all permissions for the file I am using are read and write and I am the only user on my Macbook, with full admin.
I am relatively knew to mac, and have literally just bought my macbook, so any help would be massively appreciated as I am pulling my hair out confused!

Voice Memos won't save my recordings?

I'm in college so I usually record my classes for further detailing, but I just recently discovered that Voice Memos just won't save my recordings like 2/5 of the time. I already lost like 4 important ones for the past 3 days.
The thing is that I see it recording, but it just doesn't save it, and it's just sitting there at 00:00:00 with the name tag I had put. I want to die.

- Does you iTunes library already contain a Voice Memos playlist? Some users have had to manually create it in order for the sync to occur.
- Also try resetting your iPod. Nothing will be lost.

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Photos won't save to camera roll

Since I installed iOS7, all the pictures I take with the camera won't save to camera roll. I see them in the lower corner of the camera but when I click on it, they are not in the camera roll. In the camera roll, I just have a bunch of pictures that I deleted months (or years!) ago. I uninstalled my profile and reinstalled it two or three times with always the same result.
All the settings are ok.
I installed the profile of a friend on my phone to test it and everything works fine with his profile.
Anyone can help me out with this issue?

bluetooth is an APPLE issue: they have blocked many of the 'normal' bluetooth features on 'other' handsets..
an example you may be thinking of is Sharing a photo via Bluetooth .. simple everywhere else, but can not be done on iphone
-you have to use it via an app such as iphoto, or send it attatched via an email, from the iphone.

If you just got your new MBP you have phone support from Apple (which is quite good) call them. 800-692-7753 tell the automated answerer "mail technical support" you'll have human quite quickly. Hope this helps.

My iPhone 4 refuses to save pictures and at some instances, delete my existing pictures. I take a picture, and then go to camera roll and look, but it doesn't show up. The same thing happens when I try to screenshot things; it won't save.

My iPhone 4 is severely making me mad. It won't save any pictures I take. I will take the picture, then go to view it in the Camera Roll, and it just won't be there. The same thing occurs when screen shotting things on my iPhone. Some times it won't even let me delete the existing pictures I had on my phone before this all happened. I will click delelte, then it will pause, and eventually close me out of the photos app. However, when I go to settings, it says I have 440MB of pictures on here somewhere. But I can oly see 3 pictures in the camera roll. Also, it says in the camera roll app that it is 'Restoring...' then just sits and loads and won't restore anything at all. HELP ME PLEASE. I have iOS 7.1 currently installed.

Have you Tried Clearing the The Cache in the Camera or Gallery in your Applications Area.. Go to Settings--> Applications--> Manage Applications--> Select All--> Clear the Cache in Both the Camera & Gallery Clearing the Data however might Clear you Pictures in your Gallery but if your Ok with it Give it a Shot,

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
Working now !!!!!

The scanner scans the document without a problem but when I select 'SAVE' and
specify a location and file name, a system error 'The HP scan application was
unable to save the file to the specified location'. It will save a regular PDF file
or a JPG file with no problem, but trying to save an searchable PDF or .rtf file
results in the above mentioned system error.
This problem occurs either from HP SCAN or from the 8600 scan panel.
The computer is running Windows XP and the I.R.I.S. OCR software is
loaded.

I understand you're receiving an error message "The HP scan application was unable to save the file to the specified location". I will do my best to assist you!
First, I would recommend downloading this tool called the Print and Scan Doctor. This tool diagnoses and helps resolve common printing, scanning, and connectivity problems, including: (This information is stated here.)
USB: Verifies that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly.
Device Status Test : Checks for device errors such as out of paper, paper jams, carriage stalls, and paper feed issues, and then provides instructions for fixing the error.
Driver Check : Checks for missing or corrupt driver files.
Device Manager : Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
Device Online : Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
Print Queue : Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).
Port Match : Checks the port settings for the HP product.
Device Conflicts : Checks for conflicts with other drivers, such as other printer brands.
Ink Issues : Checks the cartridges and ink levels for issues that affect print quality.
Print Settings : Checks and adjusts the print quality settings.
Test Print : Prints a test page for print quality evaluation, and provides options for cleaning and aligning the printhead if necessary.
Scan Tests : Checks the scan mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

Logic Pro 9 won't save, hangs and quits??

First of all, you are still in Learn Mode, as the button on the bottom right is still darkened. Click it so it becomes lighter, meaning learn mode is no longer active. Then proceed to delete all the assignments, in your screenshot I can see the top message is assigned to A#1 (look at the "input Message" values on the right). But the rest of the assignments do not look like you conciously made them, it's a bit of a mess. You should be aware that cmd-L opens the CA-window, and engages Learn Mode, meaning that whatever is the very first MIDI message you send will be "learnt" as a controller assignment, and it will no longer be availbale as regular MIDI. That's how notes can "disappear" if you're unaware of this function. To open the CA window without engaging Learn Mode, use cmd-K.

Updated Firefox won't save my preferences; reverts to original settings.

A few days ago, Firefox updated itself to the 18.0.1 version. Now, each time Firefox updates itself, I tend to lose some of my preferences, those being: opening new tabs as a blank page, tabs being on the bottom, and showing my windows and tabs from last time. Usually, though, once I go and change these things back to the way I like them, they stay like that and I have no further problems.
However, this time Firefox won't save my preferences. The tabs go back to being on top, the tabs I last closed aren't there, and these tool bars I don't want keep appearing. Instead, three tabs are always there upon opening Firefox: Welcome to Firefox, Mozilla Firefox Start Page, and Yahoo! Toolbar. Also, when opening a new tab, the page says, "page does not exist" or something, and the URL is not even comprehensible, just random letters like someone bashed their head into the keyboard, something like: "jkfui87$^&%$$09."
I've tried resetting Firefox like it says in the "How to fix preferences that won't save" page, but it didn't help. As for deleting certain files from the profile folder, before I resetted Firefox, I only had "user" and "prefs" and "Invalidprefs" which weren't exactly what that self-helping page asked for so I didn't delete them. After I resetted Firefox I lost the "user" file, but I still have the other two. Should I try deleting them even if they're not exactly like the page describes? They are missing the ".js" part so I haven't felt comfortable messing with them.
Please give me some advice. I'm tired of having to go change my settings in "about:config" each time I open Firefox. But I really don't want to try anything that would delete my bookmarks or history, as I'm very dependent of them.

Obviously no one here actually READS these things, I tried all of that even did a clean install, even uninstalled all user data and THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE!

You have lost a die hard fan of Firefox, I am switching to another browser.
Unfortunately I tried older versions of Firefox and had to go all the way back to Firefox 4 and now the problem is fixed.

IDVD won't 'Save as...'

I've just upgraded to iDVD 7.0.1 and my main project now won't 'Save as...' or 'Archive...'. If I select either of those items from the menu, the program instantly crashes, without even a Crash Report Form to reply to Apple.
Oddly, I can 'Save', so there's an obvious workaround: duplicate the project file in the Finder, then use that to work with.
I've restarted the machine, obviously, and checked everything I can think of. Is anyone else finding this bug?

Samsung 1630w won't save as pdf

After all the hassles with 10.5 and an hp1012, I just got a Samsung ML1630W. It is wireless, set up with airport (11g) no problems. But it won't save as pdf (in print). It says go to file>save. I hate to jinks a new printer that works, but it seems apple released samsung drivers when leopard came out. I was wondering if this might work. I think this printer is a newer model, though. Any ideas or work arounds.

Oh, probably just a distiller hiccup. Glad to hear it works now. I have had my share of Adobe background processes problems, too, and I wouldn't have thought to reboot right away either. Make sure to mark this question 'answered' when you get a chance.

Acrobat won't save any more links in a PDF. Why?

The Save As allows me to save the changes, but the regular save will still not function. I seem to recall a similar issue with the last version of this document, with a similar number of links.

PDF won't save to computer

I download several financial statements in PDF each month and two of them, though enabled, will not allow themselves to be saved to my computer. They can be viewed, printed and edited but clicking on the save icon does nothing. The'Save to:' pop-up does not appear. I'm running Windows 7 x64 and have the most current version of reader (9.4.1). Has anyone seen this before???

Yes indeed, we have the same issue. After further research, I ran across this workaround that worked for me. Of course it does not solve the Adobe problem, but it does allow for saving a PDF that does not want to be saved while opened in IE (I’m using 8). Here is a copy of the workaround.
Of course the question remains – what is the problem and why do we have to use this workaround – very strange. Must be a compatibility issue with certain website, win 7, IE 8 and Adobe. The problem site for me was Chase.com. I called their online rep and they had know ideas. Hope the workaround works for you.

Just a note... I have been experiencing this problem with one of my accounts since back in Reader version 8.x. The second account only started paperless before Christmas. I was willing to put up with it from one group but two with the same problem broke the camel's back (it started to become a trend!). Hopefully someone has found the magic bullit to solve this.
