Lis extract structures

Dear consultants,
i have problem with lis structures (like 2LIS_17_IOCAUSE)
before transfering into my bi system i need to fill these structures with transaction
Managing Transfer Information Structures - Initialization -Filling in the Setup Table-Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data.
is there any way to fill these table automatically? or i should fill these tables everytime i load data to my bi system?

my lis structure is 2LIS_17_IONOTIF. therefore it has delta capability. However, i do not know wehere to set it and what else have to do.
Do i need to;
1) Activate 2LIS_17_IONOTIF in Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit.
2) Set Plant Maintenance: BW in Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit as;
Update:Job control and Update Mode:Queued Delta?
3) What else have to be done?

Does anyone have any good documents that explain the relationship with the LIS and the extract structures etc.
I understand that they are predefined Extract structure from (LIS) and if you add more fields then you must do ABAP too to make sure these are filled.
As per my post yesterday I originally thought that as the fields were in the main table in SAP anyway then it would just be a case of just adding them to the extract strucuture in SBIW.
This now seems worng

LIS Extract structure MC17I00ACT changed while implementing oss note 865254

While i am trying to implement the oss notes 865254 , the sap defined data source 2LIS_17_I0ACTY , having the extracture MC17I00ACT , extract structure is modified and many fields and includes are deleted .can any one please give soluation how to restore the original extract structure.its very urgent. please help me.

it might be possible to get it back from the version management. I didn't do that, but you can try. Goto se11->Tools->Versions

Regarding LIS Extract Structure and Delta Queues

Hi All,
We are extracting data using 2LIS_01_S001. But we are unable to pull Delta loads. When we verified we found that the structure (Fields)of the Delta queues are not in same order as S001 table. So, we modified the structures of delta queues using the access key. Now the order of fields in S001, S001BIW1 and S001BIW1 are all same. Till now I was unable to load the deltas for the data source. Now my doubt is should I have to do the LIS setups again (Statistical Information Setup)or can I do a Full Load and do deltas directly???

You have to setup the tables once again.If your requirement is to load the customer data donot depend on LIS because there are lot of problems with this LIS.SAP is not recommending this LIS.Simply load customer attribute data and load transaction LOS also.
This is a better option.

Relation between LIS datasources and Extract Structures

Roberto,
Your detailed information does make it very clear why the SAP creates 2 SnnBIW1, SnnnBIW2 tables, and a structure.
I have another question related to this process.
Once you create a datasource from the custom LIS structures, you can assign a Development class to that datasource.
But the automatically created 2 tables and the structure are local objects, and you cannot reassign them to other object. That is fine because when you export/import the transport, all the other objects are also transported.
But when we enhance the extract structures, it creates a structure ZASnnnBIWS which also HAS TO BE a local object. This creates a problem of how do we transport these changes?
I would appreciate your insight into this.

How would I check "..fields you have enhaced are ready to use...." from LBWE.
From RSA6, I would doubleclick on the LIS datasource, and I see no enhanced fields and therefore could not see if they are hidden.
"Did you check in LBWE if your strcutures have the fields ready to use?" How would I do this? Maybe this is the problem.

DataSources and extract structures generation

Hi,
How would I generate the DataSources and extract structures using transaction LBWE? It seems that there are no push buttons to say to generate the DataSources and extract structures from LBWE? Would clicking on the DataSources and extract structures and click on the continue button be enough?

Sample code for a custom field added to LIS Communication structure for Del

We appended a new custome field into extraction structure of the LO Cookpit datasource 2LIS_02_ITM through RSA6. And then run CMOD to write the exit code to populate the value and it works fine. But after we read Roberto's Weblog:

Find the enhancement we did can't make the Delta mechanism works if only this new field gets changed in a record, and the change cannot be reflected on BW. I know we can run SMOD on the enhancement LEINS001 to write the code for LIS Communication structure customer exit. But we have never writen such a code for LIS Communication Structure enhancement and also don't know on how to make the Delta mechanism works in the code. We would be very appreciated if some expert here can provide the sample code!

The compile of the above code works fine and we activated everywhere including project level. LIS Info Structure with table MKPF/MSEG

Hi Gurus,
I have a view made up of table MKPF/MSEG (74 fields in totals). Based on my requirement (loading archived and non archived marerial movements data) I am looking to create an Info structure with the same 74 fields - to connect the LIS infostructures to BW.
I need to create a char. as KF fields catalog.
my issue is while doing that I am not able to have the 74 fields I am looking for (I am just getting around 50).
I know how to create an Infostructure/ Catalogue (Transaction MC21/MC18)
Any Idea how to Create an Info Structure that would have all the fields from table MKPF and MSEG?

2LIS_05_Q0ITEM Enhancement / Extract structure

Hi experts,
I am trying to enhance a data source and am having an issue adding a field to the extract structure.
The 2LIS_05_Q0ITEM includes a field called MATNR for the Material Number of the claimed notification (Table MCQMEL) which I don't need (as it is in the Notification Data source).
What I need is the material number of the replacement part (MATNR / Table MCQMFE). I can't add it in the Extraction Customizing cockpit. (2 fields with the same is not possible and it isn't possible either to remove the MCQMEL/MATNR field).
I tried to find a workaround using a user exit to enhance the extract structure but couldn't find anything allowing me to retrieve the MATNR from MCQMEL.
Any clues on how to add this field to the datasources other than doing a select fron the Table in the extract structure?

Unable to change the Extract structure

Hi All,
In LBWE in R/3, I need to the change the extract structure MC02M_0HDR for DataSource 2LIS_02_HDR, by including some fields using the maintenance tab, After doing the required changes when i give "continue", the system is throwing me the following error -
"Struct. from appl. 02 due to open V3 proc. not changed"..
The long text of the error message shows -
Diagnosis
Changing the extract structure MC02M_0HDR of application 02 is not recommended as there are no V3 update entries for the update module MCEX_UPDATE_02.
If an extract structure is changed for which there are still open V3 updates, these can no longer be updated and the V3 collective update is terminated.
Procedure
Start the V3 update and delete those update entries that are already incorrect. You will find these in the update overview.
Kindly reply me as soon as possible in this regard.

Hello,
in transaction sm37 in the source system, you will find a job starting with LIS-BW-VB_APPLICATION*. Please select the job related to your application and in the menu Job->Delete, delte the same which is in the released state ready to be executed.
then you can go ahead and enhance the extract structure.

T.code LBW0, choose generate updating and execute then choose activate / deactivate and execute
BW side - create infopackage and schedule the package with delta update.
First time if your scheduling the infopackage -in R/3 side T.code :MC25 -Udating set to No update,insted of selecting the update V1,V2,V3.
If your doing the Delta update:in R/3 side T.code :MC25-Updating set to either V1 or V2 or V3. and the to T.code :LBW0 -Select the radio button Active/deactivate and Execute.
and schedule the infopackage with delta update.

4. Deltas for LIS:
After setting up the LIS environment, 2 transparent tables and 1 extract structure is generated for this particular info structure. Within transaction SE11 you can view the tables SnnnBIW1, SnnnBIW2 and the structure SnnnBIWS and the InfoStructure itself Snnn
The tables S5nnnBIW1 & SnnnnBIW2 are used to assist the delta update process within BW.
Extract structure SnnnnBIWC is used as an interface structure between OLTP InfoStructure and BW
The OLTP system has automatically created an entry in the control table TMCBIW. Within transaction SE16 youll see, that for your particular InfoStructure the field BIW active has the value X and the field BIW status is filled with value 1 (refers to table SnnnBIW1).
The orgininal LIS update program RMCX#### will be enhanced within the form routines form Snnnbiw1_update_.... and form Snnnbiw2_update
With the transaction SE38 youll see at the end of the program [starting at line 870 / 1006], that the program is enhanced within a BIW delta update coding
Within the flag Activate/Deactivate the update process into the delta tables (SnnnBIW1/Sn5nnBIW2) is swichted on/off. In the table TMCBIW is defined, which table is active for delta update.
Note: The delta updating is client dependent !

Changes in extract structure

Hello All,
The extract structure for 2lis_11_vaitm has been changed and since then whenever I try to execute the datasource using RSA3.
I get an error Import_mismatch_error.
The extractor was working fine in dev. So I collected one structure which was missing in quality.
After releasing the same in quality, I deleted the setup tables and did run RSA3 - I got 0 records.
As per the SAP note 328181 - the old Sales orders are not compatible with the new structure and so we get the same error.
If any new documents are posted they will come in RSA3. How do I make sure that in Production I dont miss any data?

I found one error description though:
Error when resetting DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM OKQCLNT332 to the active version
Message no. RSO410
Diagnosis
Errors arose when activating DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM. An active version already existed before theactivation.
System Response
DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM could not be resetto the old active version. Since the generated objects no longer correspond to the old active version, they were reset to inactive.
Procedure
The old active version of DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITMcan no longer be used. Remove the cause ofthe activation error and activate DataSource 2LIS_11_VAITM anew.
