LIS S001 updating

Hi,
The new documents are getting updated in table s001 but not into tables s001bw1 and s001bw2. Also while updating its giving updating error but the doc is saved in table s001. Can any 1 tell me in depth abt those 2 tables...how r they populated and the rules to update them and where can b problem while document posting.
Thanks
Prashant

hi
Asynchronous updating will update those tables only when the system resource is rarely used..that is night time.............only synchronous update will update those tables immediately...that is the reason for not updating those tables...might be after few hours or later it may updated

  • Report generation and Info Structure updation

    Hi
When are the Tables: S094 and other info structures gets updated?? For Example S094 is updated with materials and has the stock details and it have Goods issue MRP Goods issue Valuation etcu2026 I tried creating a material and created a PIR and run MRP for it and checked the tables its not updated in the S094 table.
Also I am not able to execute Transaction MCEC and MCEA transaction for generating reports for LTP run.
Is there any configurations that has to be done for the above??? Like the LIS (Logistics information system settings) that has to be done for generating the above reports.

  • Info structures update

    Hi!
I'm new to info structures (I'm otherwise ABAPer) and I'm probably not posting this question on the right forum. If so, please redirect me.
    Anyway, here's the question:
How do I set an info structure to be filled with data on certain actions? My first idea (as ABAPer) is to use brutal force like user-exit and direct table insert. But I suppose that info structures were not ment to be treated this way, because otherwise they wouldn't differ from Z* tables. Does anyone know the proper way to do this(or proper forum for this question)?
    Kind regards,
    Igor Barbaric
    SAP Consultant (ABAP)
    Kaufland Croatia

Our LIS structures were set up by the implementation team so I'm getting this second hand by looking at SPRO.  I have loaded them and made mods in the past. I'll tell you what I can.
We use LIS to capture order and sales data.  I'm not familiar with the event you're talking about but it is likely in there some place.  I'll tell you what I can about how mine is set up and maybe you can get a clue therein.  I must say that is is one area of SAP that I really dislike.  Very complicated and documentation is hard to find.
I'm not sure how far you are but if you've managed to build an infostructure (it should be an empty transparent table. ex. S501) then let's see if just turning on the update is all you need.  If not, we'll have to look at the structure and update rules.
See the section under LIS called Updating/Updating Control.  Run the Activate Update tran, select the area you data comes from, and take a peek at that list.  For each structure, there is an update control.  It shows the level up rollup of the data (daily, monthly, etc.) I believe.  IN the updating section, you'll see update methods K 1 2 3.  K is "OFF", no updates.  1 is synchronous (V1 update, transaction save waits until LIS is updated), 2 is async (V2 update, transaction requests an update but let's it run async), 3 is the same as 2 accept that the update is scheduled differently.  Just check the F1 help on each of these radio buttons.
Once you turn on an update, your transaction should spawn an entry into the LIS structure if all went well.
See if that clue gives you a boost. If not, let me know what specific questions you have and I'll try to assist.

  • Question About the New Update Due out this Month

Hi I would like to know when Apple, does come out with the New update this month will it be for the New iPhone, do out on June 9th,2008 or for the People who have the Old iPhone, that will then be out dated?
    Thanks
    Lisa*

Firmware update 2.0 will be for all existing iPhones, and for all iPod Touch(es), but iPod Touch owners must pay a nominal fee for the update due to accounting reasons.
Firmware update 2.0 will likely be pre-installed on the 2nd generation iPhone. If not, it can be installed as an update the same as for the first generation iPhone.
Updates for the first generation iPhone will not stop after the 2nd generation iPhone is released. Both will be running the same operating system, with the only hardware difference we know for certain included with the 2nd generation iPhone is a 3G chipset making it a 3G phone.
The first generation iPhone will not become outdated when the 2nd generation iPhone is released. There are some people in the U.S. that don't live in an area where at&t has 3G network coverage, and where at&t doesn't have plans to add 3G network coverage this year or the next.
You purchase a new computer this week, and a new and improved version of the same computer model is released within 6 months or a year. This doesn't make the computer you purchased this week outdated. The same applies to the iPhone.

  • Fill Lis tables

    Hi,
-I've deleted lis tables S174 wit Tx (LBW2), after that i re-filled in Tx (OLI3) but when i executed RSA3 appears 0 records.
Please, which are the correct steps in order to delete the list table and re populated.
    Regards

    Hi,
LIS information structures are 'transperant tables'.
First check the records in LIS in SE16. If it is already containing records, then set LIS to noupdate (use the T-code mentioned below) and delete the whole contents of LIS.
To fill LIS, first set your LIS to update. use the central Tcode OMO1(for SD), OMO2(for MM) or OMO3(for other logistics) or you can set it in MC24 also(activate button).
SBIW -> settings for application specific datasources -> Logistics -> managing transfer information structures ->.... -> statistical setup Sales.
select the relevent one whether sales/billings/deliveries etc in the pop-up. enter your LIS, give a name to job and execute.
the statistical setup will be processed and your LIS will be filled up with hystorical records. these records will be in version '&(' i.e. statistical setup version. you can change the version to '000' and delete the version '&(' by clicking the 'change/delete version'on the pop-up when you come back.

  • PGI Concept?

    Hi,
Does PGI creates any accounting document?
Also I would like to know that PGI means that the delivery is complete and the goods are issued to the customer. Please suggest if my concept of PGI is correct?

Owen Dun, senior SAP Specialist for Publicly Traded Corporations
The complete concepts of PGI are provided as follows:
PGI - Stands for “Post Goods Issue”. It is a significant phase in the Sales Order processing. In its simplest form, it is a confirmation of delivered quantity. PGI is the final step of the delivery/shipment processing; it is the stage where the ownership of the goods transfer to the customer and the stock is being updated. PGI transfers the ownership of the material to the customer; accordingly, your company’s Inventory reduces – it signifies the end of the delivery processes. At PGI, there is integration with Inventory Management by reducing the inventory stock quantity and the related Material document reflects the stock quantity update. Likewise, it also triggers integration with FICO by reducing the stock value and the Accounting document reflects the stock value update. There are some activities that will happen after the PGI of the delivery document of the Sales Order. They are:
    1. Reducing warehouse stock & updating inventory management.
    2. Posting the value change to the stock accounts in the inventory account.
    3. Reducing the delivery requirement.
    4. Updating the document flow and status of the preceding document.
    5. Creating work list for billing due list.
During PGI, the stock status and accounting entry is passed into MM and FI modules for updating. The accounting entries are follows:
    Cost of goods sold …………DR. $ xx,xxx
            Inventory …………………….CR. $ xx,xxx
Once PGI is performed, stock reduces from the companies stock and the delivery is completed. No longer have the goods remained as the property of the company, as soon as PGI is done.
    ***For Advanced SAP users:
During PGI your inventory is getting reduced or shipped to the customer using movement type 601. When conducting PGI, these documents will be generated by the following t-codes:
    1. Material Document (MB03)
    2. Financial Document (FB03)
    3. Co Document (KSB61)
One can create a delivery today and SAVE it WITHOUT doing PGI. Then, after a few days, one can go to VL02N & do the PGI. One can also do Partial PGIs under VL06. PGI can be reversed by using the t-code vl09n. One can create a Proforma Invoice from Delivery Document before PGI & then create actual Invoice after doing PGI. For Proforma Invoice before PGI, one can follow this path:
IMG –> Sales and Distribution –> Billing –> Billing Documents –> Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents –> Copying control: Delivery document to billing document.
Here, select the Delivery & Billing Type & at Header Level in Copying requirements insert routine 11 – Head.dlv-rel.w/o GI. No other setting is required for Delivery to actual Invoice. Movement type is assigned to the schedule line of the line item & 601 movement type is used for PGI.
Note: in the case of Inventory Consignment, in the stage of ‘fill up’ delivery, when you post goods issue via 631 movement, neither accounting document nor material document will be generated because you are just moving your stock from one place to another (from unrestricted to special stock). In the later stage where you generate ‘issue’ delivery via 633 movement, both the above documents will then be generated.
In conclusion, PGI has the following effects on SAP:
    1. Billing Due list is updated.
    2. Inventory quantity / valuation are updated including material planning.
    3. LIS is updated.
    4. Updated the Document flow in Sales Documents.

Looks to me like you're not telling the linker to create a library (DLL). I'm not familiar with Linux, but clearly if the linker if looking for 'main' then its trying to build an executable.

  • LO extraction VS Generic

Hi everyone, a general question as I'm new SAP BW world
which extraction method is used most in the market
2nd question is we use Generic to Extract data from two or more tables but I can also use generic for one table (I think not because that's why we have LO ?)
    Let me know, thanks Dave

    Hi..
in Application Specific there are two divison..
    <b>Customer Generated Extractors and
BW Content Extractors in this  LO COCKPIT</b>
Cross Application-----Generic Extractors.. in this we have db view ..info set and function module
Logistics Customizing Cockpit provides a simplified way to extract logistics data and transfer it to SAP Business Information Warehouse.
As shown in the figure the document data for various applications like Customer order, delivery and billing is first transferred to various Communication Structures.
These communication structures are used to form various extract structures in R/3 which consist of various DataSources like 2LIS_11_VAHDR, 2LIS_11_VAITM etc.
These DataSources then can be replicated to BW and assigned to Infosources.
Then by creating transfer rules and update rules and defining the transformation the data is loaded into various data targets like InfoCube and ODS, thus available for reporting.
There are four Update Modes in LO Extraction
    Serialized V3 Update
    Direct Delta
    Queued Delta
    Un-serialized V3 Update
    Simple Handling
BW Customizing Cockpit: Central, single, maintenance tool for Logistics applications  No LIS functionality: No knowledge of  LIS Customizing  update settings, etc, required
Function enhancement: Creating simply and without modifications
    Others
Delta tables (SnnnBIW1/-2): duplicated update, duplicated data storage
Generic Extractors are Cross Application Extractors used in scenarios where the other type of extractors are unavailable.
Generic extractors are of three types:
    Based on Database view/Table
    Based on InfoSet
    Based on Function Module
When should you use generic extractors  should be used ...
Business Content does not contain a DataSource for your application.
The application does not feature its own generic delta       extraction method
You are using your own programs in SAP R/3 to populate the tables
The tools for generic data extraction can be used to generate an extractor for all applications.
    with regards,

  • How to fill setup table for Application 18 Customer services

    Hi,
How can I fill setup table for application 18.
    Regards,
    ST

    Hi,
To fill LIS, first set your LIS to update. use the central Tcode OMO1(for SD), OMO2(for MM) or OMO3(for other logistics) or you can set it in MC24 also(activate button).
SBIW -> settings for application specific datasources -> Logistics -> managing transfer information structures ->.... -> statistical setup Sales. (Application component 17 >transaction OLIIBW,Application component 18> OLISBW )-->select the relevent one whether sales/billings/deliveries etc in the pop-up. enter your LIS, give a name to job and execute.

  • How SAP determines Delta records?

    Dear Experts,
I have a standard extractor 2LIS_02_ITM. It works like this.
    1. when a sales order is saved, a customized program creates a new PO and updates a field in the PO using direct update, the abap 'update' command.
    2. in BI, this record created is loaded as delta.
    3. We notice that sometimes this when delta loaded, this field is blank and sometimes its not.
    A. We suspect the delta did not capture program-created PO if this field value is populated as blank by the program.
    B. If the program-created PO is opened and edited by user and then saved, SAP would generate a Delta record?
If this delta is created and BI reloads delta, this delta would be loaded into BI and the report would show the field value.
So, I need to check with experts here if using customized program to create a PO and update a field in it at the same time, would this be captured by the Delta mechanism?
Normally, if manually created, the PO would, i assume, be captured in the delta queue. But what about using program?
Please advise how delta is or can be affected by programs and how exactly is delta determined in this case. This standard extractor is set to use delta, i think using numeric field.
So, I am not sure if its due to R/3 or BW. For BW, its a direct mapping of the updated field. So, I do not think there is an issue on BW side.
    regards
    Pascal

    Dear Debjani,
On your reply to point 2 about the timing of LIS V3 update run, I like to seek clarification how the timing could cause the problem given that many delta records have successfully been loaded with existing way where a collection run is scheduled to run every around 15 minutes and is able to capture the delta except in some cases which is the problem? How can the field value change be missed due to this?   On your point 3 reply, the PO is created by program and it can be created by user.
I still require some clarification . Hope you can kindly bear with me.
    1. For most of the delta records loaded into BI from R/3, there is no problem with the data. The program-created PO records can be loaded. But for some cases, even when this field is populated by program or EDI, after auto-creation of the PO. This delta is loaded into BI with this field being blank.
    2. This suggests to me, for most cases of the auto-PO creation, the BI Delta mechanism in R/3 is able to handle PO created by automated program in R/3.
    3. So, seems to me, regardless of how the PO is created : user created / by program / by EDI, the delta mechanism seems to work. So, I like to learn more how exactly can TIMING difference (asynchronous) between the creation of PO records and the LIS V3 update delta queue creation batch job have resulted in the field update from not being extracted into the delta queue ?
    Solutions (i think):
    1. Is it possible to Change the current delta queue update extraction method from periodic (every x minutes) V3 update batch run to the Direct / Unserialised V3 update  extraction method as mentioned by Arvind earlier? Would this mean every time PO is created by any means, even by program or field updated by EDI, the delta queue is immediately created to capture the change? This sounds like a solution?
    2. Have the auto-PO creation program Trigger an R/3 event to run the V3 update whenever it has completed an update or PO creation to generate the delta queue. Would this load the r/3 too much if run frequently? Or since frequent run would mean also less delta queue created which means shorter run time?
    Dear Sven,
would it be good idea to use the program for ME22N to update the particular field After the PO is auto-created by the ME21N program? Would this mean, using these programs will assure that delta is captured?
    Best regards
    Pascal
