LIS structures

Hello All,
I had created an LIS structure S900. I want to insert some records into that structure. I created a planning type Z_S900. I am just wondering how to add records to the LIS structure.

Hello Rich,
I found out how to set targets ( insert records into LIS structures ).
I am posting it here so that it may be useful.
After creating the field catalogs and information structures, we have to create a planning type for that information structure.
Before setting values (for me they are TARGETS for a sales emp) thru the transaction code MC94 there should exist a planning hierarchy which can be created using tcode MC61.
Before that check whethere the key figures are planned and maintained in the module sales and operations planning in SPRO.

How to update order of Characterstics in LIS structure?

We have added an additional key figure to a custom LIS structure after it was created. Before the update the characteristics were in the following order:

After the update we clicked the generate button to activate the updated structure. Now the order is:

Do you have any solution on how to re-arrange the key figures?

Error in the data in Standard LIS structure S282

Hi Guys,
I need some advice on the following issue :
1.I have a process order that has fields Planned quantity and Withdrawal quantity.
2.Now, this data is getting passed into standard LIS structure S282.
But, in S282, I see that the values of the 2 fields have exactly doubled for the same Order..( which is in turn gettin pulled into BW )
Can anybody please let me know how do I go ahead for having the right value in S282??/

There is nothing wrong with the TID's or anything like that. There is also no selection criteria in the infopackage.
When the Delta fails, the error occurs under EXTRACTION in the monitor. It seems to be successful under TRANSFER and PROCESSING in the monitor, which I find strange. Also, I run a new Delta Init with Data Transfer, and that works just fine.
So, I'm not sure what it could be?

Incorrect GR quantity being posted to custom LIS Structure

We have created a custom LIS structure using a copy of S015. For purchasing events, we have tied the structure to the "SAP" Update Group, but are having issues with the quantity on order changing once GR is posted. Quantity on order populates fine when the PO is created, but the GR quantity will not subtract correctly in the LIS structure.
Example:
After the PO is created, the quantity on order is 15. After GR is posted, the quantity on order is -30, should be 0.
We currently have 5 rules tied to the quantity on order field to reflect the S012 SAP Update group.

As I know you cannot change it. Even if you cancel it, the original document remains the same - a new material doc. will be created.

LIS Extraktion to BW - selfdefined LIS structures

Hi, I found several documents about activation of content LIS structures and the process of extracting these structures into BW.
In our case we defined a new LIS structure, loaded it with datas and now we want to extract this data to BW. Now my question: what do I have to do or customize in R/3 to create a data source for loading BW?

LIS structure in a converted unicode system

Hello all,
We are in the process of converting to unicode. We have successfully created a unicode test system and converted our data and programs. We have set the unicode flag on most of our "Z" programs and for the most part things are working well. However, we are getting the following error:
In program "RMCX0002 ", the following syntax error occurred
in the Include "RMCX0002 " in line 0:
"The program "RMCX0002" is not Unicode-compatible, according to its program attributes."
It looks to me like RMCX0002 is a generated program from an LIS Info-structure.(whatever that is???) The documentation block looks like this:

*   DDIC-Structure: S510                                               *
*   Client........: 000                                                *

When looking at the attributes of the program I see that, indeed, the unicode attribute is not set. However, I am reluctant to set this flag myself due to it being a SAP generated program.
Is there a way to get this attribute set by regenerating these LIS structures or something like that? If so, how do I do that? and does it need to be in a unicode system, or can we do it in our non-unicode DEV system and transport it to the unicode system?
BTW, I have no idea what an LIS structure is or what is used for. I just know it's not working in our unicode system.

I have a similar issue. And I was told that if I regenerated the infostructure in MC25 it will solve the dump. And it did.
Now what I want to know is how did the regeneration solved the unicode issue for the RMCX* update program of an infostruc? I read before regeneration updates the infostructures with the latest numbers to be used by the BW.
I'd like to know how the infostruc regeneration and unicoding the update program are connected.

How to delete data in LIS Structure S855

HI All :
I am new to this portal. I would like to know how
to delete data in LIS Structure S855. Actually, this table contains errorneous data and like to clear it up and run stats setup to refill it up.
Though we have T-Code:lbwg to delete setup tables for LO.
Likewise do we have any transaction to delete LIS table.
If not, how to delete the same.

Data in LIS Structures (MCVBAK & MCVBAP)

In Standard SAP, Sales Orders data is copied to tables: VBAK & VBAP. Parallally data copied to structures MCVBAK & MCVBAP for LIS(Logistics Information System).
Report from VBAK is mismatching with LIS report.
Please tell me, how to see the data in structures: MCVBAK & MCVBAP or where this LIS data saves.

this will be difficult to accomplish, since data in LIS are -like you already recognized- without any document numbers ... the data there are compressed (like they would be in BI). so what you actually can do is, set up a sandbox system, drop the content of your custom-made table using SE14 and do a test by adding a sales order that would match the criteria to put that order into your LIS table. compare values between LIS and the document. add a couple of more orders to see whether there's a bug in summing up values or a formula or something of that inkling.
if your test shows that the data are the same in both, document and LIS there might have been an earlier error (maybe some V2-posting that did go awry?), so the only thing you would have to do is, rebuild the data of that table completely. again: search service.sap.com/notes on the how-to.
if your test shows that the LIS data differ from the ones in the document, you will have to do further R&D - analyzing the structure, the rules etc ...
please note another thing: most LIS-structures are time-dependent, meaning: that order you are talking about, could have been 'open' in the period you selected on the first screen after calling transaction MCSI. in that case, LIS will show that order as 'open' while VA05N would show you the actual state of the order this very moment - and that might be different.

LIS Structure - Changing Update Rules

We have just changed from using the normal Julian Calendar to a 445 Fiscal Calendar. I have two Self defined LIS structures that I need to change from monthly updating to FY variant updating. I know that all data will be lost when we make this change.
I have made the change in our sandbox environment. When adding manual quantites to the structure using MC94 the monthly buckets are still displayed, however the automatic updating is using the FY buckets. The table now contains manual data in monthly buckets and auto updated data in Fiscal buckets.
How do I change the table for manual data entry to the FY variant?

Statiscal Updation of LIS Structure S026

Hi Experts
I have an issue of statistical updation of LIS structure S026.
With reference to SAP Note 64636, i have done the statiscal updation in OLI4 Transaction and saved the updates in different version.
Now i need to update the standard SAP version '000' from the version which i have generated.
Please tell me the step by step procedure to do the same. There are 2 procedures given in the note 64636, which is the best one to be followed?

Hi,
In the SAP not itself the details will be there. I think the first solution would be good. You need not down your system, through online you can do this if the data is very less in the table.
This is to correct the data inconsistency. Copying the active version in to inactive version and delete the active version and again copy the inactive version in to active version.

How to create a Custom LIS structure?

I want to build a custom LIS like S031.This table is having a date wise data.
I want to SUM them and compress it to monthly data.
Any ideas?

Hi Praveeen,
You can use transaction MC21 to create custom info structure by copying from standard info structure S031.
Please ensure you give custom info structure name greater than S500 (i.e S531).
Range from S000 to S500 is belong to SAP.
Then you can use transaction MCSZ to generate a program for transferring data from S031 to S531. Please check the online documentation for step by step processing.
Lastly, you can use transaction MC9C to generate standard report for S531. In this report, you can perform subtotal and total based on the characteristic (key fields) of S531. No need to sum the records.
This is a drill down reporting.

Actually I began to implemented some customized LIS (Logistic Info Structure).
I want a LIS that contain last date of every movement type every year plus the material document and item and year.
I create my own info structure S942. Here is the step and the problem issue :
1. I create Field Catalog (ZGRD)for grouping application
   41 (logsitic general), the field are :
   MCMSEG MATNR
   MCMSEG BWART
2. I create my iwn LIS S942 application 41 (logistic
   general)
   a. I choose the characteric gtom ZGRD above and select
      MCMSEG MATNR and MCMSEG BWART
   b. I choose my key figure.
      <b>Here is the issue arise. I found posting date of
      the document, but i can't find the material doc no,
      material doc year and matereial doc item which i
      need.</b>
Please help me regading this issue.

LIS Structure Enhancement

I need to append a field in LIS datasource, Please anyone give the guideline(how to implement) and what are the things needs to consider(precautions) before doing the enhancement.
This is for retail LIS datastore.

Hi,
an alternative to Shravan's proposal would be changing the information structure S933 itself. This is no modification since it has been created by the customer (S501-S999 = customer namespace). For this you can use the transaction MC22.
However, you can only add fields via MC22 that are already part of a field catalogue for the relevant application. You can add any new fields you appended to a LIS communication structure (e.g. MCEKKO for purchasing header, MCVBAP for sales order item, etc.) via transaction MC18 to a newly created field catalogue.
After you have successfully enhanced the information structure (this probably includes deletion of the existing data!), you still need to
a) find the right user exit to fill the appended fields and
b) regenerate the LIS environment for 2LIS_xx_S933 via transaction LBW0.
I can not help you much with a) without knowing the S933's application. Try looking up the exits starting with 'MC'.
