LIS update fileds

Dear all,
I would like to add fields into 2LIS_18_I0CAUSE datasource.
in lbwe, i can add additional fields to the datasource, but for the fields other than that what is the way to add fields?

I don't know so much about LIS updates but I do know I want to stop them from happening.

Hi All,
Im little confused about using Lis structures, maybe you can help.
This are the stepds that i did:
R3 Side
1) Tx RSA5 and activated 2LIS_02_174 (services)
2) Tx RSA3 and the extractor works Ok
BW Side (BI 7.0)
3) Replicated datasource
4) Activated standar cube 0SRV_C01
5) Executed INITIAL load and appears this message error "LIS Updating is still activated".
Im sure that i have missed some steps, can anyone help me about this please?

Hi,
Before Init Load you have to desactivated in OMO2, then executed the Init load.
Afte this, you have to activated in OMO2 and activated the delta update in LBW0

LIS updation

Dear all,
In our company, we use LIS. During the go-live stages we did not activate the LIS updation in the info structures. But after 2 weeks we have activated the same. So, the previous data didn't update in the LIS. Can any one please explain the procedure to bring in all the data in Info structure S001.

Kindly check with the following reports as you have copied again
MCVCHECK01
MCVCHECK02
MCVCHECK03
Secondly check the following reports also VA05N(List of sales orders) / MCTC(material Analysis)
Also check if any errors or warning msgs have come in the pricing like XXXX condition type price is missing etc .Because of that also the net value doesnt update sometimes
Thirdly , check the Net value of the sales orders of the sales document type OR and billing document type F1/F2 and not the other sales document types .If Net value is coming then check wheather the SIS have been activated or not for other sales and billing document types or not .

LIS updating is still activated

Hi all
I am receiving the following error when I try to do a INIT load on extractor 2LIS_01_S005:
LIS updating is still activated (client abc ) M + 25
I have read other SDN posts and I have made the change in both our DEV source systems in TCODE LBW1 to No Update, but I am still getting the error. I am able to do a full load on my InfoPackage but no INIT.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Symptom
Using report RMCSBIWC you want to generate the delta update in the LIS in the OLTP System. The system generates message M+025:
'LIS updating is still activated'.
Cause and prerequisites
The standard update for the affected structure is still active in at least one client of your OLTP System.
Solution
To be able to generate the delta update for an information structure, you must deactivate the update of this information structure temporarily in all clients.Deactivate the update using the LIS Customizing or report RMCSBIW0 (TCode LBW1 see Note 146294) in ALL clients of the OLTP System in which the information structure is updated.You can activate the update again after generation.

Lis--Updating cannot be tramnsported to another system

Hi All,
am very new to BW. I am having problems to extract LIS info to BW.
read all the mails in SDN on LIS extraction.
IN txn MC24 when i am trying to update my info structure i am getting the message
"Updating cannot be transported to another system"
in log i saw it asks me
"The info structure S998 has the development class $TMP and therefore cannot be transported. For this reason updating definitions for info structure S998 cannot be transported to another systems.
Procedure
It is possible to transport the update rules to another client in the same system.
If you still want to transfer the info structure, call up the function transport features in the info structure maintenance (transaction MC22) and change the development class.
when i went to MC22 and went to "Create object directory entry"...
i see package as $tmp so had selected local object...was the above problem due to it...
If i have to create another package then what do i have to do and what transport layer should i put"
hoping to get some reply. Am very confused with this LIS and LO extractions . Spend a lot of time in tryong to understand it.

In the past two weeks I did a bit of research but not to much avail. I noticed I had the "Locale Switcher" add on installed, and deactivated it. Switching languages in the "Languages" tab of "Add-ons" still did not work (yes, I restarted every time). I installed the "'''Quick Locale Switcher''' 1.7.4" extension (yes, I restarted), and it displays a number of locales in the "Tools" menu; still choosing one has no effect (yes, I restarted).
Then I juggled with Quick Locale Switchers "options", which actually displayed in Esperanto (so I cannot tell you what they say in English). I check the first one (saying more or less that locale switching should affect the user interface) and switched to German (yes, I restarted) -- and '''it worked'''! I switched to Esperanto -- and Firefox went to ... English!
After a lot of searching in the Web I found on "[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/esperanto-language-pack/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/esperanto-language-pack/]" that this pack is "'''Not available for Firefox 3.6.16'''". That might explain something (not everything); probably I lost my language when I upgraded from 3.5 to 3.6.
Here a little error message could save people hours of their lives...

LIS Update Problem

I have a problem with LIS reporting which i am not able to rectify . Its a Automotive business, we have 3 order types, ZCKD, ZCBU for Vehicles and ZSPT for Spare parts. All three have same item category YTAN and item category strategic group 1, also all three order types are assigned to order type strategic group 1. All there order types uses same customer and in all customer strategic group 1 is assigned, All materials of CKD, CBU, and Spares have strategic group 1. All assignment at header and item level are done for all sales areas.
Problem is that in LIS reports CKD and CBU values are updating successful but for spare parts even after almost 1000 order it is only shows the Customer name, material sold dates, but no value, all the values are 0, I have checked S001 to S001 in Se16 and for all the spare parts material values are 0. I have done checked at header level and item level update in customizing but it is showing no error, I am not able to find the reason, I also made another order type copied from OR and new spare Part material, and new customer but still no result. Please guide if I am missing something or doing something wrong.
I have also executed Oli7 , 8 ,9 , but no result. I hope I have stated the problem clearly.

LIS
The LIS is a central integrated information system where one can create specific tables that are updated at specific stages and that can be used to report on values contained in specific fields. SAP has standard information structures for reporting purposes. The std info structures can be accessed via: LOSDSISStandard analysis. The reports use the following characteristics: customer, material, sales org, shipping point, sales employee, and sales office.
IMG menu path for SIS: IMG>Logistics General>Logistics Information System (LIS)
The Logistics data warehouse is divided into two main sections: data basis and updating. Data basis is responsible for the actual design of the info structure, that is, what key fields are reported on or displayed. Updating is responsible for the updating rules used by the system, determining how the info structure is to be updated, and when this updating is to take place.
Task 1: Create Self-Defined Information Structure
Use transaction code MC21 (menu path Logistics Data Warehouse>Data Basis>Information Structures>Maintain self-defined information structures> Create) to create a Self-Defined Information Structure. Give a customer-range number 990 (any available number between 501 and 999). To make it easier, use copy from to copy structure from S001.
Task 2: Maintain Update Groups
SIS IMG>Logistics Data Warehouse>Updating>Updating Definition>General Definition Using Update Groups>Maintain Update Groups
You can use the existing system-delivered update groups. Use Update Group (UpdGrp) 1 for the standard order process of: SIS: Sales Document, Delivery, Billing Document and use UpdGrp 2 for the SIS: Returns, Returns Delivery, Credit Memo.
Task 3: Maintain Update Rules
SIS IMG>Logistics Data Warehouse>Updating>Updating Definition>Specific definition using Update Rules>Maintain Update Rules>Create Create (transaction code MC24). To make it easier, use copy from to copy update rules from S001.
Please make sure the Source information is properly updated for all the characteristics. Since you copied the rules, the sales order and item rules are defaulted too. Make sure appropriate changes are made for events VC (delivery) and VD (Invoice).
Task 4: Maintain Statistics Groups
Maintain Statistics Groups
Maintain Statistics Groups for Customers, Materials, and SD Document Types etc. Most of the pre-defined settings are enough. Make sure that settings are updated for customized objects too, e.g., SD document types for your organizations.
Also, make sure that the customer (sales view) and material Master records are updated with appropriate Statistics Groups.
Maintain Statistics Groups for Customers, Material and Sales documents. Assign Statistics Groups for relevant Sales Document Type, item type, delivery type, item type, Determine Billing Document Types Relevant to Statistics.
Update Customer Master for Statistics Relevancy
Transaction Code XD02 (Sales view, field Cust stats.Grp)
Update Material for Statistics Relevancy
Transaction Code MM02 (Sales 2 view, field Matl statistics grp)
Task 5: Assign Update Groups to Header and Item Levels
Assign Update Groups on Header and Item levels
For combinations of Sales Area (Sales Org, Distribution Channel, Division), assign Update groups (transaction codes OVRO and OVRP).
SIS IMG>Logistics Data Warehouse>Updating>Updating Control>Settings: Sales>Update Group
- Update Groups at Item Level
- Update Groups at Header Level
Task 6: Activate SIS Update
Lastly, Activate SIS Update for the Structure (transaction code OMO1)
SIS IMG path: Logistics Data Warehouse>Updating>Updating Control>Activate Update>Choose Activity as Sales and Distribution.
Last update our SIS structure S677 with period as Month and update option of Asynchronous Updating (2).

LIS Update Issue

Hello,
Some billing transactions have not been updated in the LIS & SIS due to the fact that few customers & Materials did not have the update statistical check box activated. Because of that reports based on those structures are not accurate. we ahve updated the master data for the relavant customers & materials but since the transactions were made in the past, those billing documents are not showing. how can we update the statistical group (VBRP-VERSG) in those billing documents.

Dear Shazad,
you can use Trxn "OLI9" for updation of billing documents.
If the number of the billing docs are huge you can think of using 'LSMW' for above trxn and follow the process mentioned below. Take help of ABAPer if necessary, I had faced this problem in the past and was able to resolve it the same way.
if only few documents then do it manually as per following
go to above trxn OLI9, enter the info strucutre
Enter any version other than '000' e.g '&(1' i assume 000 is active version
Enter the billing doc number in SD document field.
Give name to run as 'Test'
Put termination date in future e.g 2mrw
Check boxes "new run", "redetermine update grp" , "update documents".
and execute. (f8)
This should update the old document in test version. Make sure that the documents uploaded in test version were not uploaded in 000 version to avoid duplicate entries.
once your test version will show the data get it confirmed from user.
after receiving confirmation
Go to tranxaction OLIX , and copy the test version "&(1" in active version "000".
Once user confirms use OLIX to delete the test version.

API for Updating fileds in cn_payment_transactions_all table(OIC module)

Hi,
I have a requirement to put the Sales Commission Lines (Oracle Incentive Compensation module) on hold for a particular Salesperson if the corresponding invoice line has an amount due not equal to zero.
Now to put the commission lines on hold I need to update the hold_flag of the cn_payment_transactions_all table.
I need help to find the API which I can use to update the hold_flag.I searched metalink on the same but did not find anything suitable.
Please advice which API I should use or any reference where I can find any suitable documents on that.Can i update the hold_flag directly in case i do not find any API to update this flag.

I am not sure if there is any standard API to do this update.
Looks like you have requirement to pay the commission only when the invoice is fully paid.
Customizing like this is not the best option. There are outbox ways to design the collection/plan so that you pay commission when the invoice is paid.

LIS Update Mode

Hello Experts,
I am working in BI 7.0.
I have a question about 'Direct Delta'. I have planned to use 'Direct Delta' update mode for 2LIS_11_VAITM, 2LIS_13_VDITM and 2LIS_12_VCITM. There would be delta extractions of documents up to 10000 for my customer. Am I right about using Direct Delta' ?
And, when using 'Direct Delta' , what happens about Setting Tables? I mean, could you explain technically and step by step how to load data from R/3 while using 'Direct Delta' ? Should I use set-up tables?

In case of queued delta LUW's r posted to extractor queue
by scheduling V3job we move the documents from Extactor
queue to Delta queue and we extract LUW's from Deltaqueue
to SAP BW by running Delta loadsQueued delta maintains
Extractor log to handle the LUW's which r missed.
In case of Direct delta LUW's r directly posted to Delta
Queue(RSA7)and we extact the LUW's from DeltaQueue to SAP
BW by running Delta loads.It degrades the OLTP performance
becoz when LUW's r directly posted to DeltaQueue the
application is kept waiting until all the enhancement code
is executed.
Queued Delta is better than Direct Delta for performance reasons.

LIS update for MCTA report

Hi All,
In one of my clients, they have forgotten to enter the Cust.Stats.Grp-1 'A' material for few customers and generated some sales documents as well (SO, delivery and invoices). Now the same has been corrected.They use the report MCTA but for those customers system doesn't generate the report of sales docs which created during that period. How can we have these records added to make sure we are seeing all sales figures reported?

As correctly pointed out above, you need to run the setup programs to fill in the info structures (OLI7...9).
Make sure to check 'Update documents' checkbox and also run these exactly in sequence - orders, then deliveries, then invoices. Otherwise it won't work correctly.
Test in non-production environment first (keep in mind it might take a long time, schedule this at night). Also I usually make a copy of existing data in another version (transaction OLIX), if space allows. The copy may be used to restore the data if something goes wrong and for comparison to confirm that update worked.

LIS updates

Hi,
My client has one sales organisation for which all standard reports are coming properly.(MCTA, MCTE, MCTE, MCTK, MCTG)
But now i define new sales organisation, and made entries in IMG- logistics -General- logistics data warehouse- updating- updating control- settings -sales.update group- assign update group to header and item data.
But I am not getting the result in standard reports ( as mentione above)
So kindly guide me as what else to be done to get the desired result.

LIS & Update Rules...?

Hi Gurus,
I am doing extraction by using generic information structure. so to create update rules for comm. structure and information structure, i have few doubts here.
For keyfigure i am taking NETWR from comm. structure MCVBAK. in general rules these is option Event and Update type. so i given the event VA.( we have to pass VA because this is related information for Tcode VA01,VA02 etc) so here what is update type...? In third block under Date field for period determination option there is two fields that "Table for data and Date field". so what it means here again..
check all this in Tcode MC24, in that double click any KF. so that you get the pop up screen, in that pop up screen there is all the above fields. please let me know from anyone what is purpose of these fields here...

MCVBAP - From this table date will be extracted when you extract data
ERDAT - This is the field for Date in that table
This is just a detailed screen for the field ...

RMCA0768 - LIS update program for info-structure S076 will not regenerate

Does anyone know how to trigger this program to regenerate?
I was able to regenerate S501 - S999 using RMCSISIGN via SAP note 99507.
However this one remains a problem.

By the way this is a unicode problem. The unicode flag is not checked on the program. The program is $TMP program that is generated by SAP for info-structures.

LIS (Report: MCTE) is not getting updated

Dear All,
We have created a New Profit/ Cost Center and then created a Substitution Rule, based up on Sales Org+Dist ChnlDivision+Sales Office_
Then we have created delivery and then Invoicing. Accounting Document has been generated and G/L A/Cs have been hit, accordingly.
Now, when we refer to Standard Report: MCTE, (for above said Sales Area), Report shows No data for chosen criteria.
Here, I would like to mention that all required configuration for LIS Updation,
SPRO --> IMG --> Logistics-General --> LIS --> Logistics Data Warehouse --> Updating --> Updating Control --> Settings: Sales --> Update Group
--> Assign Update Group at Item Level
--> Assign Update Group at Header Level
have already been maintained before Sales Order Creation.
Moreover, the same config-settings is working fine at our Quality-Server, whereas, Its not working on to PRD-Server.
Couls anybody suggest, some more checks to perform?

When you moved your changes to Production Server and then after you have created a document for the above mentioned Sales Area. Now is this document also not coming up in the Report?
If yes then can you please tell me what value has got Updated in the Database Table both at Header and Item level in the Field Update group.?
