Lisence Question regarding our Flash Builder Lisence

Our company uses Flash Builder with the following key: 1424-4000-....
We do not know how many lisences we have and how we could get flash builder version 4.7? Do we have to pay extra for that also when we bought a lisence in 2010`?

  • Question on CCloud Flash Builder 4.6 install

    Hello,
I curretly have Flash Builder 4.6 installed on my computer - it was originally installed as FB4.5 when I installed MC CS 5.5  -- but the 4.6 version was made available as a separate installation from MC.5 when it became available last November -- so I now have FB 4.6 as a stand-alone install.
My question is this -- do I need to uninstall my stand-alone installation of FB4.6 in order to install MC6 via my CCloud subscription (when it becomes available on May 11) -- or will the FB 4.6 install in CS6 install without errors (in a different location?). The reason I would like to do this is that FB can sometimes be buggy and I have the current install working well. I would like to install the new FB 4.6 and make sure i works and compiles well before uninstalling  last December's stand-alone verson of FB 4.6.
    Thanks

    Thanks David,
    Just two questions
    1. Is the FB 4.6 version in CC the same as the FB 4.6 I installed in December, or is it a newer release (eg 4.6.2 etc)? If the CC version is the latest would want that
    2. If I did keep my current FB4.6 -- would the CC "know" that it should receive the latest updates. I keep reading where CC apps are always up-to-date with latest releases and builds -- so if I have an "old" FB4.6 -- would the CC updater give it the same updates as if I had installed it directly from CC?
    Thank you

  • Is there an email contact for verizon support so I can send all of my questions regarding our plan?  I have 6 kids and my own phone (7 phones)

I would like to have my plan fully reviewed as I have 7 phone lines and am paying $418/month, but T mobile offered same plan (with more data) for $290.  Reps in the store are no help in reviewing our plan for best options- last time resulted in our cost GOING UP.  I have tried calling but being put on hold too long

There's no longer an email address for customer support.
You can post on the forum and then direct message one of the Verizon reps after they respond (which can be 2 - 3 days).

  • Easy Question about Adobe Flash Builder

Could someone please tell me why i cant call the function game.newgame ?
It does not recognize functions from another classes.
Sorry for my grammar , inglish is my second language
    game = new Initgame

Yeah, this is the new 10.3. It installs a Preference Pane in Other in Sys Prefs. You can select a number of settings there. I basically allow it to do as little as possible, except for the update notification.
In storage, I would select "Block all sites from storing...." (That's the option to disable "Local Shared Objects," Adobe's cute euphemism for cookies. Until now, they have been hidden away in the Macromedia folder in your home folder>Library>Preferences where I've locked everything up, after trashing the Macromedia folder and getting a new one after visiting  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_man ager07.html)
I can give you instructions for doing that. Post back if you want them. Not sure how effective the new Pref Pane is, especially now that I see it reset the default of "Allow sites to save...." and all the defaults. Maybe it only sticks from an admin account and I recently started running from a standard account, while using an admin account solely for authentication. I will have to look into that.
Definitely turn off Camera and Mic. In Playback check "Block all sites...."

  • Flash Builder 4.7 Premium offline installer

    Hi,
Where can I find offline installer for Flash Builder 4.7 Premium. I have to backup all application installers in my company (regarding web development) and I can't find it anywhere on adobe.com. Is there any chance to get installer after downloading it via Adobe Creative Cloud app or is there direct link?
    Medyk

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your reply.  we purchased the upgrade license directly from Adobe web site and I can only see the order of the upgrade license from https://www.adobe.com/account/account-orders.html.
The original Flash builder 4.0 Premium was purchased through a reseller our company normally use back in 2010.  The Software license certificate shows TLP 5.0 LICENSE PROGRAM - CORPORATE.  We do have either 4 or 6 seat license.   We only have 1 developer left for this project so only 1 upgrade license was purchased.
Does our Flash builder 4.0 premium license qualify for the upgrade offer?  If not how do we upgrade?

  • How do I rebuild a Flex 3.0/SDK 3.2 application in Flash Builder 4.7?

I am trying to rebuild an old Adobe Flex/Air app.  The original developer is gone and we don't have the development environment he used available to us to do the rebuild.  As best I can see, this is an Adobe Flex SDK 3.2 application rebuilt in Flex Builder 3.0.   I've been able to get the project imported to Flash Builder 4.7 and set the SDK to use the 3.2 SDK and get a build, but all of my controls have the "Trial Version" water mark.
How can I get rid of this watermark?  Do I need a license for SDK 3.2 in addition to my Flash Builder 4.7 license?
I've tried also to "upgrade" the proejct to 4.6 SDK in 3.0 Compatibility mode, but I am getting lots of errors at runtime for null object.
    I found this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/441869
But I don't know if that means I need to have an Adobe Flex 3.2 license key?  or will my new Flash Builder 4.7 key work?
I'm new to Flex/Air and I'm just trying to get this old project rebuilt.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Update - I have updated the license.properties file and added the compiler switch but still no luck.  Our Flash Builder 4.7 is fully licensed so I guess I need to know where to buy a Flex Builder 3 license key.  Is anyone from Adobe here?  Maybe someone can help me out please?

  • Publishing to Mac from PC with Flash Builder 4.6

I have recently switched from Flash Pro to Flash Builder to write actionscript projects. I would like to publish the finished application for both PC and Mac. I don't want to use the air installer as most potential customers won't have air installed. I have tried the captive runtime option, and this will work well for the PC version, but I am unsure how to package the resulting files for use on a Mac or whether there is a more suitable option for the Mac app (such as the Mac Projector in Flash Pro)
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Flash Builder 4 - Mobile (Adobe read this!)

This is the second time I've written this letter. The first was a five-paragraph rant detailing the chronicles of my journey into mobile using the Adobe tools. This time, however, I've decided to break it down in a different way. It goes like this:
    - Adobe spends considerable effort trying to convince Flash (AS3) developers to migrate to Flex (Flash Builder)
    - After spending time with Flex, I am one of those who is convinced by the ease and power of what it offers. I buy Flex (Flash Builder)
    - Adobe announces it will provide support for building iOS application but insists you use (buy) Flash CS5.
    - Support (and methods) for using Flash Builder to create iOS applications is complex, messy and tedious at best.
    - I buy an iPad ($3500), pay for an Apple developer account($100) and start using Flash CS5.
    - I have to strip out the AS3 from my Flex project to bring it into Flash CS5. (Abandoning all the Flex components that made it great in the first place)
    - I get my AS3 application running locally on my iPad. Despite every effort, it runs considerably slow (to my surprise)
    - Apple makes it's TOS changes, restricting 3rd party developer tools.
    - I'm now **** out of luck getting my Flash based application public (iTunes Store)
    - Adobe starts to turn it's attention to Android (a move I fully supported despite my own shortcomings)
    - AIR for Android starts to unfold. So, I start taking a look at it in addition to downloading the Android SDK.
    - Publishing anything to an Android device, using Flash Builder, is (again) a complex, messy and tedious task. Command lines etc.. nightmare.
    - Now, Apple reverses it's TOS policies.
    - More Android 2.2 Froyo devices begin to emerge now (especially tablets like the Galaxy)
So, at this point I digress.
So, Adobe. You wanted us to migrate to Flash Builder. So, we did. This, by the way, means we BOUGHT the software. ($780)
So, you want to demonstrate Flash's power to publish to mobile devices. (meaning, now, iOS and Android)
ALRIGHT THEN, WHY DONT YOU SPEND SOME TIME GETTING FLASH BUILDER 4 UP TO PAR ALREADY? WHY DON'T YOU MAKE PUBLISHING FOR BOTH PLATFORMS (iOS and ANDROID) MORE ELEGANT NOW? WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO BUY FLASH CS5 NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY COME ON BOARD WITH FLASH BUILDER? WHY DONT YOU SPEND SOME TIME PROVIDING AN ELEGANT SOLUTION FOR MOBILE PUBLISHING - LIKE YOU'VE ALREADY DONE FOR FLASH CS5 (MONTHS AGO). I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FILL OUT A FEW FIELDS, SELECT A FEW OPTIONS FROM A MENU AND PUBLISH MY APPLICATION FROM FLASH BUILDER. NOT DOWNLOAD SDK'S, DOWNLOAD SPECIAL BUILDS OF AIR AND FLASH PLAYER ON A WEEKLY BASIS. GET FLASH BUILDER 4 UP TO PAR SO WE CAN WRITE ONCE AND PUBLISH (PUSHING A BUTTON) TO BOTH iOS AND ANDROID WITHOUT SPENDING HOURS FIGURING OUT HOW TO GET IT ALL WORKING.

Again, my issue is not with Flash Builder itself. In fact I think Adobe is doing a tremendous job regarding many things at this juncture. They've been under a considerable amount of pressure, especially since Apple tried to declare Flash an obsolete technology. I'm proud of Adobe and Flash - which I thoroughly enjoy working with. I also enjoy working with Flash Builder.
My issue is in regards to support. It's that simple. I understand that many features take time to prepare prior to their public release. This is obvious. There are a lot of tests to be made prior to even a first release. My issue is a specific one. It is in regards to Flash Builder and their attitude towards this piece of software as it relates to this "mobile storm" that has approached. Everything is about MOBILE, MOBILE, MOBILE. Well, ok.. it's about mobile. Adobe really only has two (count that, 2!) pieces of software that creates Flash content. (and NO, that isn't a lot). There's the Flash IDE and Flash Builder, which is SUPPOSED TO BE FOR DEVELOPERS. One would think that more time would have been spent of getting ELEGANT mobile publishing solutions into Flash Builder at this point. I'm tired of reading one massive pdf after another just to understand what the hell I'm supposed to be doing. AND.. on top of this.. they get simple, fluid, elegant solutions into the FLASH IDE in the meantime. iPhone, Android publishing with the click of a button in the Flash IDE? DONE! Months ago.. Flash Builder 4 with the same capabilities? Nothing. Command lines... Terminal windows.. give me a break.

  • Cannot apply Flash Builder 4.7 Premium upgrade license

We purchased Flash Builder 4.7 Premium upgrade license.  When we entered the new key and then the original 4.0 Premium license key, it said "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try again.".  From the License Certificate paperwork we have, it does show the serial number is for Flash Builder 4.0 Premium.   Could anyone help?

  • Flash Builder 4.7 Premium upgrade

    Hi,
I have been using my FB 4.7 Standard Edition for more than a year and now I would like to upgrade to FB 4.7 Premium Edition. I checked on your website and there was no option to Upgrade from 4.7 Standard Edition to Premium. If I select "I own FB 4.5 Standard", the price I need to buy is $499 which is way to expensive for an upgrade (while FB 4.7 Premium Edition only costs about $600).
Can you please confirm how I can upgrade my current version to Premium version?
    Thank you.
    Jack

  • Flash Builder Editions (confused)

    Dear All,
I'm new to the Forum but not new to Adobe products.
I intend joining the Creative Cloud program but was wondering about the Flash Builder Editions, as v4.7 seems to be included.
I'm interested in the Flash Builder with PHP support, so when I investigate about the pricing, respectively the upgrade options, what should I select if I have then the Version 4.7 Premium from the Cloud program? Will I be granted a free version of 4.5 Premium for PHP?
Thank you very much for your support.
    Cheers
    Thorsten

  • Question regarding Flash builder - mysql

    Hi,
I created a webapp with flash builder 4.6, I use AMFPHP for the database part.
If I want to add a person to the db through my app, which has een accent in the name (for example "D'hiet"), it returns an error.
I don't know where to look for this problem. I assume it has something to do with my database settings, but i'm not sure and I cannot seem to find what I need to change to be able to enter names with accents anyway.
    Hope someone can help me...
    thanks in advance!

    For Solaris10 11/06 Release:
"The default copy method that is used when you create a Solaris Flash archive is the cpio utility. Individual file sizes cannot be over 4 Gbytes. If you have large individual files, you can create an archive with the pax copy method. The flarcreate command with the -L pax option uses the pax utility to create an archive without limitations on individual file sizes. Individual file sizes can be greater than 4 Gbytes."

  • Queries regarding Flash Builder and Augmented Reality.

I am Sarat from India. I'm a software engineer with working knowledge of Java, so Flash AS and OOP are understandable for me. I am working on an augmented reality project. I am quite new to Flash, Adobe Community and I've got some queries regarding Augmented Reality and Flash Builder:
    1. Flash Builder 4.6 comes with a default Flex 4.6 SDK. However, Flex 4.6 SDK wasn't allowing me to compile and run some example files. So I've downloaded Flex 4.0A version from Adobe.com. Now the examples are running fine, but would there be any problem if i try deploying such projects in a website or as a desktop app? Once the code is compiled into a swf file, the flex framework used doesn't make much difference, does it?
    2. Would the AR project run effectively on a website, given various internet/processor speeds worldwide? Would the effectiveness of the AR project, deployed on a website, depend on the number of triangles in the 3D models i.e. dae files? Because as per my understanding heavy models implies more time to download the flash app into the local browser from the internet and more time to render them by the papervision 3D engine right?
    3. Can we develop a stand alone desktop AR app using Flash Builder? Using Adobe AIR we can, i guess. Please refer some tutorial, if possible.
    4. I've seen that we can implement multiple-marker-tracking AR using vectors/arrays in AS. Would there be any performance issues depending on the size of the vectors/arrays used.
    5. Can someone please mention some tips to improve performance of an AR app (desktop app and web app)?
    6. What would be, approximately, the cost of FLARManager, FLARToolkit commercial versions, if you have any idea? I've gone through their website but they did not mention the costs.
    7. Would applying bitmap material to the dae models pull down the web app/mobile app/desktop app performance, given some 4 to 5 dae models in the scene?
    8. Is it advisable to use multiple markers with multiple dae models or single marker with Flash-based GUI option to load different models onto the same marker?
It would be very helpful for me if someone could answer my above queries.
    Sarat.

#1, If it compiles then you have no issue. There's no reason at this point not to use 4.6. You should bundle a captive runtime to assure the users computer won't need to have AIR installed at all.
#2, Papervision is old. Use the Stage3D and/or a wrapper framework. As far as the generic "If I download lots of data will it take the user more time to load it", well, of course. Just don't make the loading experience painful. Entertain them while they way or find ways of displaying data sooner than later. If it's desirable on the web has more to do with the context of the app and the device displaying it. In other words, a phone user would find it easy but obviously not a desktop user.
#3, Definitely referring you to Google on that one.
#4, Size always matters, it's common sense. The more you process the harder it is. While I haven't done AR I've used the Microsoft Kinect SDK and ANE and tracking was extremely fast but limited. From what I've seen and your basic built in location and direction hardware on any mobile device you shouldn't have much trouble. Depends on what you're doing.
#5, This discussion would be way too large for a forum. You'd need to consult a firm experienced in AR development.
#6, "Applications using the commercial license do not have to provide source code, but must pay a licensing fee. Contact ARToolworks at [email protected] for more information." They will base your price on your product, there is no single price.
#7, The models could be huge and elaborate or tiny and simple which changes the answer. Consult the answer in #4. Ultimately most people are getting on fast networks with mobile and excessively fast on desktop/wifi. Size matters a lot less than 3 years ago.
#8, Depends on what you're doing. You have to explain it.
