List of 1.5 JRE's stable version

Hi,
Can someone give me list of 1.5 JRE's stable version?
I found following beta version:
1.5_0_04
1.5_0_10
1.5_0_12
1.5_0_14
1.5_0_15

Those are not beta versions, but updates to the initial stable version (as far as any software can be considered 'stable' these days).
The latest stable version of Java 5 can be found here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp
Note that Java 6 is available as well (and has been for quite some time): http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

  • Where is the latest STABLE version of Firefox?

I want the latest STABLE version of Firefox. I'm not interested in BETA versions. But, Mozilla is doing a good job of hiding the latest stable version and forcing customers into its ever-changing unstable Beta system. Can anyone tell me which version of Firefox is the newest STABLE version; and where can I find it? Thank you for your assistance!

If you are getting updates in Firefox to a Beta build (of 34.0bx) then you installed what was one of the Beta builds of a version in past (to be on Beta channel) and not a Release before. There are on average six to twelve Beta builds for a version with nine being the average in last while.
'''on www.mozilla.org only the current Release is served''' as you would have to go out of way to a page that serves Beta builds to then download them. Mozilla would never force people to use one of the Beta builds for a version instead of Release.
The current Beat build of a version is only on and is clear it is not the Release.

Firefox 34.0 is scheduled for release on November 25.

    hi Srini, Hussein,
i have run patch 9239089 successfully. then i downloaded all 6 files for patch 9239090. i unzip all into the "9239090" directory.
    i run . APPSUAT_erp.env
    then i run $AD_TOP/bin/admsi.pl -patch_top=/R12stage/patch/9239090" - appspass=pass

If, for example, kwin is crashing, which kde packages need to be rebuilt?
I just tried building & installing kdebase-workspace, but I ended up destroying my kde installation completely and had to uninstall and reinstall every kde package to get it working again.
Would I have to build everything in abs extra/kde*?

  • Most Stable Version of OAS

What is the most stable version of Oracle Application Server? Our app is a PL/SQL based app with most of the work done on the database side. We use HTTP and OEM.
Also, what database version (Standard and Enterprise) would be recommended for this version?
    Thanks,
    Steve

I am not impressed with Reports 9.0.2. It seems to
crash a lot. Reports 6i are very stable but
desupported January 2005. Reports 9.0.4 is pretty
stable. A lot of bux fixes are in 9.0.4 that are not
    yet in 9.0.2.x.
Go with 9.0.4 with Reports. Many thanks you for your fast answer. But I have to say that Reports 6i wasn't stable in our environment (perhaps one crash every second day).
Forms are just stable. I haven't had any problems
with Forms in any version except when trying to run
version 6i through a CGI. Running it as a servlet
makes a world of difference. We made the same experience with Forms :-)

  • What's the latest stable version of Java Advanced Imaging Image I/O Tools?

    Hi,
Could anybody tell me what's the latest stable version for Java Advanced Imaging Image I/O Tools and from where I can download the same?
    Thanks

Just 'mark out of date' the package. Or email him directly. The forums are generally the WORST way to try and contact any specific developer.
Oh, and before that, please do a quick google....

No, it's not under heavy development, it is almost complete. The only missing part is the "dalayed allocation". The on-disk format, as I've already said, shouldn't change anymore.
With this patch series, it is expected that ext4 format should be settling
down.  We still have delayed allocation and online defrag which aren't
quite ready to merge, but those shouldn't affect the on-disk format.
I don't expect any other on-disk format changes to show up after this
point, but I've been wrong before....  any such changes would have to
have a Really Good Reason, though.

If you read this carefully, you don't want to use ext4 just now. You also should consider that ext4 is virtually untested compared to filesystems like ext3 which has been used for years in many production environments. I wouldn't read "I don't expect any other on-disk format changes" as "There will be no more changes" if I had important data.
brain0 wrote:Second, we don't have a single filesystem built into the kernel, they are all modular - and I don't see a reason why this should ever change.
I remembered some filesystems were "built-in". Evidently I remember wrong (well... and I remember the filesystem for the root partition had to be built into the kernel, but my knowledge on this point is not very updated).
You're so 90's. If we would build everything into the kernel that everyone needed to boot, it would be 5MB or 10MB instead of just 2MB. Everything is as modular as possible now (there are some exceptions which should be ironed out in one of the next releases).

  • Which is the last most stable version of Firefox for non-dual-core CPUs? Thanks.

I run a Dell Pentium 4. I found newer versions of Firefox to be deadly slow and extremely unreliable. I find 3.0.19 to be the last most stable version for non-dual core processors. Absolutely no problems. And no endless remoting. However, there is no further safety support for this version. Thus...
Which is the last most stable version of Firefox for older non-dual-core CPUs?
    Many thanks.

Thanks but this isn't what I need. I need a URL that directly downloads with wget so I can automate it. This takes you to a page that contains links. I'd have to scrape the page to find the one I want, and while that isn't impossible it is a huge over-complication for something that should really be pretty simple.

  • List of available JDK/JRE

Is it possible to retrieve list of available JDK/JRE in java(swing) application ?

    Hi There,
Right, there is no prebuilt method available. But, if you want you can have a look at registry key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment
You will get all the required information.
    Hope it helps

  • Last stable version?

Does anyone remember what the last stable version of ITunes was for XP? Version 7 is not. Before anyone attempts to help me work through installation and insists that ITunes 7 is stable, let me tell you that I installed a completely fresh version of XP yesterday and loaded programs one by one, creating a restore point before each. Everything was working fine until the dreaded ITunes install, then all went buggy. I have restored the system and all is fine, but I would still like to use ITunes. I have located the old installers for ITunes, but I cant remember the last time it ran correctly on my XP machine. Does anyone remember what the last stable version was?

For me 6.0.5 has been the last reliable/working iTunes on my box at home. 7.0 managed to start, but had garbled audio, anything later just crashes on start.
6.0.5 'for teh win', as they say.
On the other hand, 7.x has been doing perfectly fine on my dorm box, which makes it all the more puzzling.

  • I need a stable version of 10.3--10.4 is problematic garbage

    Help!
I need a stable version of 10.3--10.4 is problematic.
I threw away my 10.4 install discs after looking at the endless problems users are experiencing--maybe 10.5 will help but i doubt it.
What is the most stable--if any--version of 10.3?
My hard drive is filling up with "previous system" folders/

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Sorry that you're have so much OS trouble. If your iMac came bundled with 10.4 then it is very likely you cannot run 10.3.x on it. Usually the minimum system is the one that the Mac ships with.
If your iMac came with 10.3.x then you can install it and update to 10.3.9 using the combined system updater.
But more important is what's causing the problem in the first place. It is unlikely that OS 10.4 is unreliable on just your Mac while it works so well for others. Have your run the Hardware Test application on your install DVD?
If you installed third party RAM then that could be the problem. I purchased third party RAM for my iBook from a reliable source, yet the RAM caused kernel panics during long processor-intensive activities. The flaw showed up during an extended test using the Hardware Test. The vendor replaced the defective RAM and all has been going well since.
I don't know what your symptoms are so it's impossible to guess what's causing 10.4 to be unreliable. But my hunch is that it isn't the OS that's the real problem.
