I was a kid when I made a documentary for a school project. I've been trying to figure out how to retrieve the file. 4 years ago, I was able to get the files off the Iomega Zip drive (finally), but I now see the file is saved as a .A4P. There is also a file saved as a .PKG as well, but I don't know how to open this with my Windows 8 COmputer.

.a4p is an Authorware v.4 (Windows) project.
Interesting you have it as a .pkg...usually that's a published-on-a- Mac extension, if I recall.
At any rate, can you put the file up on a Box, Dropbox, FTP, etc...and send me a URL?
I should be able to published it so you can view the project (it would be an .exe).
It can't be converted to anything though - not without manual effort.

If the music was just purchased on the iPod from iTunes Store, then sync with iTunes. You will be prompted to transfer purchased items to iTunes. You can also re-download prior purchases directly in iTunes: Download past purchases.
Otherwise, you will need a third-party utility for the chore such as Pod To Mac or Pod To PC.

Not able to convert word file to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard

Hi,
I am not able to convert word file to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. When I try to convert, it starts the process and in between I am getting this prompt, as shown in figure below and the conversion process stops. The PDF is not created.
Note: The filename 'Acr85.doc' in the above prompt keeps changing and is random.
I tried clicking Yes, No and Cancel on the above prompt, but the conversion process just stops and PDF is not getting generated.
I am able to create PDFs from web pages. No issues with that. Not working only with Word.
Can someone help me with this.

In MSWord please changes the settings as "Adobe PDF" menu => "Change Conversion Settings" goto Tab Bookmark and clicks the option Convert Word Bookmarks. Now you convert the Doc to PDF you can achieve the Bookmark.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting files. Are you receiving the conversion error regardless of the file that you try to convert? Does the error occur whether you use the web interface, or convert via Reader? And an odd question: how many files do you have stored in your Acrobat.com account? We have seen reports of this error when there are a large number of files stored in the root folder of your Acrobat.com account.

Firefox keeps aksing me what programs that i want to open a doc.file with every time i try to download a doc file.

the program that I use is open office. I chekced the box that says that this will always open a doc file but it keeps asking me about it.

Firefox should be able to remember your preference -- as long as the site is specifically identifying the file as a distinct content type. Some sites may fail to do this and simply indicate it is a binary file that the browser can't handle, in which case Firefox doesn't store a specific preference.
So this could be a problem caused by how the server is identifying the content type. Or it could be a problem with the settings file that stores download preferences. The workaround for that problem is to remove the file and have Firefox rebuild it. If you have changed settings from the default (for example, how to view PDFs) you will have to change those settings again.
If you want to try it:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > (in the first table) "Show in Finder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit/Quit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
Restart Firefox and see whether its memory improves.

Sorry, but with the information you have given, the only answer I can give is "possibly".
Each camera model produces a slightly different raw format - even different models by the same manufacturer and even if they have the same extension (file type). The latest cameras will not be supported by older versions of Photoshop Elements although there is a converter which can help.
To give you a better answer, we need to know
1) The camera make and model
2) The version of Photoshop Elements that you are using
3) The operating system that you are running on.

If you have purchased CreatePDF please visit: https://createpdf.acrobat.com/SignIn.html
Sign in with your Adobe ID and password, and then convert your word doc into PDF.
Please let me know if that works.
If you have Adobe Reader, you cannot convert .doc file to .PDF by drag and drop.

Not able to combine .doc files

I often convert and combine many .doc Word files to a single PDF file. Using Adobe 9 Pro, I have never had a problem with this. However, two days ago, this stopped working and in the combine window, I get the message: "Please remove files form the list or choose the Portfolio option." After each Word .doc file I get the Warning/Error message: "Cannot convert file type to PDF. Please remove this file from the list." I can still print the Word doc to PDF using the PDF printer, and I can convert a Word document using the Acrobat Menu in Word and the Conver to PDF button. I can also combine PDF documents, just not Word docs.
Any help?

I found this to be a Microsoft Word add-in problem.
I think a recent update disables the PDF maker add-in in Microsoft office
. Open Word "in administrator mode under Win-7"and enable the add-in "PDF Maker". Remember to
add it to your trusted add-ins first otherwise the check box
will keep unchecking itself when you close the options dialog box. I hope this works for you

In my log file, I have a document per line generated by rsyslog. When I open the file via FTP, it is still active, so an approach that encapsulates all the lines into a single monolithic 'log' element doesn't seem workable. The </log> line would never be there.

iCloud does not offer any of these facilities: it is for syncing personal email, caledars, contacts and photos taken on any one device to the other devices. There is no general file storage in the manner of Dropbox or the late lamented iDisk.
