List of Calculated KFs and Restricted KFs created by end users

Hi all,
Is there one way that I can run a list of all Calcuated KFs and Restricted KFs created by end users in Production. We would like to DELETE all CKFs and RKFs created by end users that are not following the naming convention. So we are looking for a tool to list all CKFs and RKFs created by end users. Can you help?

Table RSZELTDIR will give you the CKF and RKF but will not tell who has created. The user entry you will find in table RSZCOMPDIR.
So first go to second table display result by restricting to user name for which you want to delete the CKF and RKF. Select all the component ID and Put in first table and restrict the selection to CKF and RKF .

Im trying to do the same thing. Bascially i have built a student application and a supervisor application. I have then created two end users called student and supervisor. Each of which i only want to be able to see there application and not the other one ( ie student sees student application and not supervisor application and supervisor sees supervisor application and not studdent application). So in therefore i have assumed that you just just need to create the user give them a username and password. Then go to the apex.oracle.com home page enter the database name and then the username and password for the user.
This seems to allow me in but i get an Access denied by Application security check. Do you have any idea what this means. I have set both user so that they have no adim or developer rights. All i want is for them to be able to view and use the application.
Any ideas?

Allow connection to RDS applicatoins and restrict RDP connection for domain users

I have configured RDS setup, with the following Roles: RD Web Access, RD Gate Way, RD Connection Broker, RD Session Host and RD Licensing.
the problem is that the domain users can't run the published applications unless I add the "Domain Users" group into the remote desktop users on the RDS servers, but now all domain users can connect RDP to the RDS servers.
so we need domain users to connect to the RDS published applications and restricting them from connecting RDP to the RDS servers, in addition I can see that internal servers are accessible from outside through the RD gateway server.
any ideas ?

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
For a test you can create one group, assign the specified user under that group. Add that group under “Remote Desktop User” local group. For getting access to published Remote Application you can simply assign\add the group under collection properties of the
application and that user can get access.
For restricting user to server remotely, you can add that group of user under “Deny logon through remote desktop service” under User Rights assignment. Also you can check “Deny
New User Logons to an RD Session Host Server” settings.

How to create a PDF form which can be filled out and saved with change by end user

I am using Acrobat 8.0 - Mac - and want to create a PDF with text form fields. Simple one page file. The end user needs to be able to fill out the text form fields and SAVE those changes. so far they can fill out the fields but can not save the file with changes.

I should have said Mac users. Because the Print system and sytem by which Mac users view anything is based on the PDF engine. The Mac sytem can do anything Standard Standrd could do. although in order to placate Adobe the pdf engine used is a version or two behind. If the Mac OS could do everything Acrobat could do there would be no reason for Adobe to provide Acrobat Or Reader for Mac.
And you basing your assumption of what Standard can do a PC. Standard on Mac is basically Mac's Print to PDF wrapped in an Adobe Package. It shad no ability to confer rights to reader (that didn't come to Acrobat Mac until Version 8) and was unable to to create forms. The current version of Acrobat PC comes as Standard, Pro, And extended. There never has and never will be an extended pro version for Mac (that adds the ability to create XML based forms) They don't have the interest. To adobe is little more than a Play toy. Because Windows has so much clout They can dictate what they want. Apple not so much. One advantage Mac does have is that Forms creator is built in. on PC its an adon (it free but an addon or was).
Now back in OS 9 days and Acrobat 5.x Acrobat for Mac and PC were equal. except to have the print press features Mac users had to pay an addition $200.00. (It exactly as you described in your last sentence - except Acrobat 5.x without the printpress and The Acrobat 5 without Print press was $299.00 and $499.00 with Print press.) I know I've used Acrobat since version 3.

Roles are decided by IT managers. Suppose if Persons who are working in shopfloor or production side
give authorization to Production order create , change and Confirm like that etc
1. In role maintenance (transaction PFCG), choose the Authorizations tab page.
2. To change the authorization data for the transactions assigned to the role, choose Change Authorization Data or Expert Mode for Profile Generation. Otherwise, a dialog box appears in expert mode (see Regenerating an Authorization Profile After Changes).

Download and Upload Report Layout for End User

hi, i did the following
1. create an xml data file
2. load in in bipublisher
3.create a layout
4. create a report query in apex and load the rtf created in step 3
5. test the report.
it works fine.
my requirement is for trained end users (bipublisher trained) to download the rtf and edit it if need be. most of the editing will be text and they will not be editing any data fields. i will create a button for the end user to download the report layout, but what api can i use to download the rtf for them and where should i move the report layout (any apis for this) upon upload after the rtf is edited by the user.

Pdf restricting to save from end user

Event.rc and Restriction of inputs from the User...

Im using Adobe Professional Live cycle designer 7.0 to design pdf form. Also, Im using an existing pdf (supplied by the customer), which is designed through teleform designer (with adobe 6.0) model for this design. In the existing one, the javascript methods are working fine for restricting keys, validation, etc. But these scripts are not working in designer as the designer is using XFA model.
Im trying to restrict the key inputs (like only numbers/characters should be entered). But I couldnt find the equivalent statements for some of the statements (which are used in the teleform pdf).
For eg.
event.rc = true. Allows keystroke to be added to entry. event.rc = false. Prevents keystroke being added to entry in the following function:

Based on your description, I understand that you want to use application or some functional tools and then
monitor the user printer job. When be greater than a certain number, it will need to acquire additional information. As I know, it seems that there is no such function can meet your requirement. Sorry for it.
In addition, I find that you use a third-party software for this functionality before. Please check and confirm
if you can get a new version (or some updates, service package) that may help it to be supported in Windows Server 2012.

Hold, Transfer and other functions unavailable to end-user

A short description of the setup:
One centralized CCM Cluster (4.1.3)
Five regoins/locations/pools.
All locations are set to use g711 internally and across WAN.
Now to the problem at hand:
External Calls to any phone in a remote office (this office has it's own 2800 GW, and PRI) is impossible to put on hold, transfer or anything other than terminat. If the user presses "hold" the connection is partially lost. The caller and called party can no longer talk/hear each other. The call is still "active" in the phone display, but the only thing to do is to end the call (At which point the called party releases the call, but the gw does not release the incoming call until 10 seconds later).

I see the "error": StationCdpc - ERROR active10: hold rejection|
But have no idea why, and what to do with it. And why does this error cause a "freeze" to the call in progress? The call is "lost", and terminating is the only solution.
The really strange part is this:
The situation described above is true for all external call to this one location if the the call in progress has lasted 3 minutes+++. If a call in progress is less than 3 minutes old, all functions are operational as the should be. Internal calls to the same location do not behave as described above. Nor any external call to any other location (centralized or remote).

You have some options on business rules.
If you just want to create business rules that are easy for business owners to edit without a lot of training, Oracle BPM has a simple business rules creation and end user edit capability. The benefits to using the rules that come with Oracle BPM are:
<li> they are simple and easy to edit
<li> end users can get up to speed quickly to edit them
<li> when changed, the business process is immediately impacted
<li> they can use the Oracle BPM business parameters that also come with the product
Drawbacks are:
<li> you can only use Project variables as the variable content inside of them
<li> if a company already has a business rules engine, they are different that the company's standard
Business rules engines have been used with Oracle BPM. If you are a consultant, first ask if there is a standard business rules engine that the company already has purchased that they use (e.g. iLog from IBM, Corticon...). If this is the case, you typically integrate to the rules using a web service interface that the business rules engine exposes.
If they do not already have a business rules engine, consider Jrules. The benefits are:
<li> it is a part of the Oracle BPM Suite that they might have purchased
<li> version 11g of the Jrules is coming out soon with a friendly front end

How to restrict end user from modifying/saving the workbook?

We have created few workbooks. The requirement is that the end user should not be able to modify or save the workbook. We tried using S_RS_Tools authorization object with "themes" in the Command ID. But this does not seem to solve our problem. Please suggest whether it is possible to enter any other value in this field to restrict access to the end user.
We also tried including the following authorization objects with the corresponding values :
1.S_GUI with the value Activity=60(import)
2.S_USER_AGR with Activity = 03 and * in Role.
3.S_BDS_DS with Activity = 03(display) and 30 ; Class Type = OT.
4. S_USER_TCD with tcode = RRMX.
But still the end user is able to modify the workbooks. (The end user must not be able to make changes to settings of any of the buttons in the design mode, must not be able to save the workbook).
Please suggest the corrections required. Also kindly suggest if there are any other ways to resolve this issue <removed by moderator>.

Only few people have authorization to create S.O. w.r.t. quotation (as in our case, sales ppl create quotation and Finance ppl create S.0., with reference to Quotation Only - T.Code: VTAA).
Others have only authorization to View/ Display, VA03.
Consult your Basis-Admin, he will create appropriate role & assign T. Code: va03 for list of user, provided by you.

Unable to Create End User in Apex 4.0.2

I want an End User to use an application without seeing Development links at the bottom (like 'Edit page x' or 'Session' or 'Debug'). I go to the Administration tab, click 'Manage Users and Groups', and click Create User. In the Account Priveleges section I specify 'No' for User is a Workspace Administrator. I specify 'No' for User is a developer. I fill in the mandatory fields and click 'Create User' at the top.
It processes the action BUT on the following page, for the row created representing the new user, the Account Type says Workspace Administrator and not End User. If I log in with the new user I see developer tabs at the bottom.
How do I create an End User?
I obtained APEX 4.0.2.00.08 by downloading Oracle Express 11g if that helps.

Custom Authentication is behaving like an End User account, which is good - no developer tabs at the bottom. I used something similar to Chapter 11 of the Advanced Tutorials guide:

End user and password change

Hi.
I have a small application running on 3.0.
I created 10 end-users with a dummy password as "not developers" and "not administrators". Further I marked for change password at next logon.
However, users are able to logon using the the link from the logout page directly into the application without changing the password. Also, the "FIRST_PASSWORD_USE_OCCURED" = N in table wwv_flow_fnd_user.
Change_password_on_first_use is Y.
Anyone seen this before?

Alex,
Connect as the Application Express product schema, e.g., FLOWS_030000 for version 3.0. Unlock this account first if it is locked or simply connect as SYS and alter session set current_schema=flows_030000. Then:
select value from wwv_flow_platform_prefs where name='MAX_LOGIN_FAILURES';
That should show the 9999999... value. You can update that row with a new value.
We'll look into fixing this problem. Thanks for the info.
