List of compatible T30 processors?

I'm running about 6 or 7 T30s in my house. Sadly, they're nearing the end of their lives in terms of processing.(all 1.8)  What processors are compatible with T30s? Does any Socket M mobile processor work?
I'm looking at this:
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 Merom 2.0GHz 4M shared L2 Cache Socket M 34W Dual-Core Processor - Retail Model Brand
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111302
(BTW, would the T30 general liscense still apply IF I change processors?

You're looking at the completely wrong direction, none of the newer CPUs like that will work in your machine.
You need a P4M CPU with Socket 478 layout. The maximum speed you will get is 2.6Ghz, but bear in mind the following:
a) If you're going above 2.0 from 1.8CPU you'll need a bigger heatsink/fan as well.
b) These CPUs are not cheap. Used 2.4 change hands for $50 or so on eBay, add another $20 for the fan/heatsink.
c) IBM never went above 2.4CPU on T30. I'd suggest staying within that range for the purpose of minimizing the heat. I used to have an A31p with 2.6 CPU, and that thing could have been used instead of heater in a small room.
d) These are the CPUs that will work, from 2.4 to 2.6:
 SL6K5
SL6VC
SL6P2
SL6WY
SL6WZ
SL6LS
Good luck and let us know.
Cheers,
George

I am trying to upgrade my graphics card.  I recently purchased a  Zotac GeForce GTX 760 AMP Edition 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 DVI HDMI DisplayPort SLI Ready Graphics ...  .  I also installed the above mentioned power supply.  I installed both and when I went to start the computer, I got the HP logo blue screen with a message saying to press ESC key for start up menu, however the keyboard was unresponsive.   I updated the bios to this using this link  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=cp-114777-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
The hp logo screen changed but that was about it.  Using the new card, I could get to the first boot screen, and to the hp logo, but then it would stay stuck on the hp logo.  Also if I tried to press f10, ctrl + f or any key, I would just get a black screen and nothing would happen.  I've read that this seems to be a common problem with the HPE models and the 700 series cards and have seen no solution.  I have already arranged to return the card figuring it's either defective or not compatible with my system.
So after all that, I've tried for the last hour to get a list of compatible graphics cards to upgrade my system, and have not found such a list.  I've found lists in the forums for other similar models, but I want to be absolutly sure before I make another purchase and have to go through all this trouble.
Any help would be appreciated and if more info is needed don't hesitate to let me know.

    Hi,
There are graphics card solutions posted on this forum. They may be hard ro find but they are psoted.  It's good that you checked the BIOS settings in the posted HP links as sometimes they get changed thinking that this will work better. However,  in the case for Windows 7 it's just the opposite.
You issue is not a driver problem. Check with the graphics card manufacturer for a remedy. If that particular card is video BIOS enabled for UEFI then you are stuck. You can either return the card or install Windows 8 in UEFI mode.
Another choice would be to try one of the below video cards that run in legacy or UEFI mode.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates?
    If not, please do so.
You have not given us enough information with which to help you.
What are the properties of your source file that is presenting in the project with audio but no video?
Quickest way to gain that information is from brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video.

  • Is there a comprehensive list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire?

is there a comprehensive and up-to-date list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire that will work with FMLE?
    I saw this -http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashmediaencoder/FME_DeviceMatrix.pdf
but it's out of date and limited in scope... any more information?
    thanks
    Josh

I'm in the process of trying to get this information for a client. Even with a paid AppleCare agreement, the only answer I'm getting is "look in the forums" and "look on the developer site" (although I have to give credit to the Tier-1 rep who's trying to help me.) The impression I'm getting is that they consider an exact list of header names to be proprietary information for some reason, and are going to great pains to try not to give out the information, but also to not create ill will amongst their customers by explicitly saying "that's proprietary".

  • List of compatible video cameras and codecs for iMovie 1.2.2 (iOS)?

Is there any official or unofficial list of compatible video cameras and video formats/codes published by anyone?
By the way, I successfully managed to import .mov (motion jpeg) from Panasonic DMC-FT1 to iMovie for iOS5. The AVCHD setting (.mts) does not work however.

Not that I've ever found. I tried to research on the Apple site before I bought it but found nothing.
I will say that SD cards are pretty universally compatible and I've not had an issue plugging htem into my iPad. So if your camera has an SD card, you should be good to go, and you can sync without running down the battery on your camera (I honestly never sync my camera with its cable since it does little more than kill the battery, I always do it just with the card, but everyone likes doing things differently)
What might be more helpful, search your camera manufacturer's information. It might be easier to find your camera company saying it's compatible iwth the CCK than it is to find a list of all cameras. Or maybe you can post your camera model here and maybe someone else has the same model and can tell you.

  • Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 but when I connect my camera a message appears telling it's not compatible with the operating system?

Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 and when I have checked for software updates there are none available.  I've downloaded the Canon software, connected to my mac via the cable and followed the instructions in the manual.  Sadly I just get a message saying it's not compatible with the operating system.  I've tried inserting the memory card into the mac to and it doesn't seem to see it.  Can anyone help please?

Camera RAW ≠ Camera driver, the RAW update is for the .CR2 canon raw image file (in your case) compatibility.
What happens when you try to import photos using Image Capture or iPhoto?
Can you take a screenshot of the error message?
I always prefer and recommend using memory card import over using the camera.

  • I have a Sony DCR -SR32 which does not appear in the list of compatible cameras for imovie '11. Does anyone know if there is way to import files from this camera ?

I have a Sony DCR-SR32 HDD video camera which does not appear in the list of compatible cameras for imovie '11. Does anyone know if there is way of importing video from this camera to imovie ?
    Thanks
    Pheona

    Greetings Pheona,
That appears to be a hard drive based camecorder.  Usually these mount on the desktop of your computer as a little white hard drive icon.  If you go inside you should be able to find the movie files the camera is saving.  See what format they are (the last 3 letters at the end of the file name is a good place to start).
You can drag the movie files from the camera hard drive to the computer to copy them.  Then convert them with a video file conversion program to a format iMovie can understand.
Try converting one of the files using a video file conversion program like Video Monkey: http://videomonkey.org/downloads/
In the "Convert to" drop down menu choose "DV" (Preferred), "Quicktime", or "MP4".  Then import the resulting file into iMovie and see if that works any better.
If that program can't convert the files you can try another file conversion program:

  • What Raw camera files are supported by Aperture Ver 3.6.  I have tried to file a list of compatible camera models, but as yet can't find one.

What Raw camera files are supported by Aperture Ver 3.6.  I have tried to file a list of compatible camera models, but as yet can't find one.  My OS is OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.  I have recently bought a Canon 7D MkII and have found Adobe Lightroom does not as yet support the 7D MkII.  So I though Aperture may support the 7D MkII because Yosemite 10.10.1 now does.

    Hi Folk,
I just found the answer to my question.  Yes it is supported with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.  See the link below and the ***** Note at the bottom of the list.

i want to download os x mavericks but it is saying its not compatible. my laptop is on the list of compatible laptops.

    Do  you meet all requirements:
    Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later

             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

  • Why won't Apple provide a list of COMPATIBLE SET TOP DVD PLAYERS?

Why won't Apple provide its users a comprehensive list of COMPATIBLE DVD SET TOP PLAYERS? If they have, can someone direct me (us) to it? Although most set top DVD players will read Apple burned DVD discs, many set top DVD players will NOT read DVD's burned with the combination of iDVD and or DVD Studio Pro software and the built-in burners that ship with Mac computers. Obviously this is a third-party related issue, but it might be nice to provide at least the know set-top DVD players that DO WORK with DVD's burned on Apple computers using Apple software.

Although most set top DVD players will read Apple burned DVD discs, many set top DVD players will NOT read DVD's burned with the combination of iDVD and or DVD Studio Pro software and the built-in burners that ship with Mac computers
Blatantly untrue ... pure BULL. I've been burning DVDs for years with my Mac and DVD-SP. After thousands of DVDs delivered to clients, I've only had two (yes, 2) complaints of playback issues.
The two major factors to playback compatibility are the quality of the media and the bit rate used. Keep bit rates reasonable; don't use AIFF audio; use only good quality media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden and stay away from low quality media such as Memorex.

  • List of compatible High Def Camcorders?

I have been looking through these forums and there seems to be a lot of problem with High Definition camcorders and Final Cut Express 4. Is there a list of high definition camcorder anywhere that definitely work with FCE?
    Off topic;
Also it seems from what I have read that FCE4 has a problem with 1080i/p sources. Does it work fine with 720p footage?

    Brad297 wrote:
.. Anyone know how often Apple updates their list of compatible camcorders? ..
    No.
.. ok, the guy in Cupertino performing this tests do..
never realized a 'scheme' (every 3months..).
best practice: ask here other users for their experience.
and rule of thumb: models from same 'family' of products which are listed often are compatible.. if you see a model ABC100, there's a very high chance that ABC200, ABC400 and ABC400i perform too.. (=same rec hardware, just additional 'add ons')
iMovie is interested in the storage technology, which are basicly: minDV (SD and HDV), HDD (mp2), SDcard (avchd) and Sonys proprietary memsticks.
iM get hickups, when standards are 'benched' - first FullHD AVCHD devices made iM stumbled (fixed); afaik, 5.1 surround (from a stampsized mic.....) could make it stumble; ...
    .. and there's actually a huuuge discussion on 24p, 30i, 30p, 29.97i, 60i, 60p..

I need a list of compatible videocameras I can use with my Mac OSX Mountain Lion.  Can someone help me?  I have always used a Canon ZR 950, but I was told it would not work with this new iMac.  Is there an adaptor that would work with it?  I bought a Thunderbolt, but it would not connect it.

You may have a hard time finding a list of Mountain Lion compatible video cameras as it can depend on which video editing software you're using.

  • List of Compatible Routers?

Is there a listing of compatible wifi routers?
I have a D-Link DGL-4300. Anyone know if I'll have much success connecting with it?

When I returned my iPad, the sales rep wanted to know what router I had (actually I have 2) but my answer was the FIOS router provided by Verizon. I was then told that iPad had conflicts with some FIOS routers supplied by Verizon. Verizon has it defaulted to wep encryption. This router is only 2 years old, so I consider that pretty new. So, there is probably a tentative list of conflicting routers, we just haven't seen it yet.
The other was a 3 year old Belkin with brand new firmware and no encryption, just mac address filtering. I could never achieve a connection with this, after adding the iPad mac address to the router's table. It didn't matter what I tried.
All of our other house full of Apple products connect on each of these. iPhones, MacBookPros, iMac, G5tower.
BTW, even though people say iPad does not support wep, it will prompt you for a wep password, and it will re-ask for wep passwords on it's alert screens. Too bad the device doesn't provide enough human interaction warnings on connectivity to reinforce what I am hearing is non-support for wep. Everything leads one to believe it supports wep.
While this may not be a device flaw, it is most certainly an engineering/marketing decision flaw that results in performance issues, confusion, and returns. But, we know there are other connectivity related issues as well.
