List of customizing tables

Hi,
we want to find out customizing differences between systems. We have a custom report mass-comparing tables by RFC. Is there any list of customizing tables or a SAP standard functionality to do this?

Yes, you can do a client compare.
I am not sure of the tr. code though.
I got it, the transaction code is SCU0.

How to find T-CODES for maintenance view of custom tables?

Hi,
I have a list of custom tables for which maintenance view is generated. Also, many of them might have a T-Codes assigned to them.
I need to know how to find out these T-codes?
Is there some table which maintains these or a function module which can give the t-code name?

How to do a Search help on SAP structure field listing custom table data?

i have a SAP screen (Trans KE52) that they want to have a drop down (search help on).
The drop down should list values from a custom table.
How do you do this?
The values to be displayed are NOT from a structure table but from a transparent table. i believe I will need a search FM to do this but not sure how it is to be done.
Any one have ideas?

Hi Scott,
You need to go to SE11 and look for a searh help that match your requirment or build one.
In case you are going to develop one, in the definition tab of the search help look for the selection method and put in the input field the name of your transparent table.
After that you must specify the fields that you need to appear at the list and the one that is going to be selected for your field. This step you have to do it on the search help parameter grid.

Hi Roy,
I don't know any simple way. But you may try to add and maintain new custoimzing nodes using transaction SIMGH - many things are possible that way. Play around!

Query list on particular customer table

Dear gurus
I want to know queries(or inforset) which are used by particular customer table.
Do you have any idea?
I thought that I can know via SE11's "where-used list" function,
but it seems that query is not included in this function.

How to get customizing table entries in to dropdown list

I have field in my screen from customizing table. How do i get values in this field when the presses drop down button?
I know that we can do it by entering fixed values to that field and also when we create a check table we will get values.
Is there any other way to get the values?

I have 2 solutions for your post, one go for DROP DOWN BOX if you are having fixed input values.
And two go for search help if you want multiple entries has to be displayed in your field form your customized table.

yes, it is as Brad said, but you should extend the approach regarding this tables content: If it is related to an existing business object (i.e. order, delivery or the like), you may have a look at user exits/Badis in that field.
Also, the dynamic approach is possible. First use report RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN to find the name of the table in all programs in customer name space - it may be defined as a constant in program/function group/class.
If the dynamic approach is used, the name of the table may be determined by reading another (custom) table or even in a programs text pool. You may find this by searching a pattern UPDATE() - or MODIFY/INSERT in customer programs.
If the table has update date/time fields, check what jobs or online activities can be responsible.
If, after all, you still do not know, then I'd say this is a consulting issue

Is there a query that can be written against the FND tables to get this listing?There is no direct way to get the list of custom reports unless you followed the naming convensions when you created those reopports (i.e. your object/file name starts with XX_%).

List of mappings/tables using SCD2?

Hello,
we're having a history data problem in customer's environment (BI APPS 7.9.5) and now we need a list of all tables or mappings that are using SCD 2. I found a documentation where is mentioned 6 "must be scd2"-dimensions but is there an easy way see which mappings are flagged as 'Y' in $$TYPE2_FLG mapping parameter (without going through every single mapping)?

Why not search the DAC for that parameter. The parameter value is set at the DAC level..not in informatica. If you want to get creative, you can also query the DAC metadata tables, but may be faster just manually going through the list of tasks one by one in DAC and checking for that param value.

User exit/BADI for updating custom table in MB1B transaction-

When performing a material to material conversion in MB1B transaction for batch managed materials,system is creating a new batch by copying the characteristics of issuing material/batch.The details of the new batch created are updated in standard batch tables(MCH1,MCHA,MCHA).
The requirement is when the new batch is created,the batch details and characteristics has to be stamped in a custom table.
Kindly suggest a user exit/BAIi available for updating the same in the custom table.

OAF Update of Custom Table causing ORA-600 with database block corruption?

Using OA Framework 12.1.3, running under EBusiness Suite 12.1.3
Created Custom Web page operating against Custom Tables
ISSUE
On about 2% of new records, when OAF is UPDATING a record in a certain table, it is failing with
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00607: Internal error occurred while making a change to a data block
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kddummy_blkchk], [815], [26412], [6110], [], [], [], []
ORA-06512: at line 1
Before the DBA turned on 10.2.0.4.0 DB_BLOCK_CHECKING parameter, this actually
resulted in corrupted data blocks in the database and corrupted indexes that
eventually crashed the database and we had to do a full recovery with 2 days downtime.
Now that we have turned on DB_BLOCK_CHECKING, it simply errors out and puts things
in the alert log, but the records still fail to update as the writes are blocked.
Then oddly, a few days later.. the records become editable. And others fail.
This is ONLY happening on the one particular table being updated by OAF. Other custom pages
posting to other custom tables are having no problems. We've CTAS'd the table back and
forth and recreated the indexes, and that did not help.
Support says to post to the Forum ( So I am! ) or hire Oracle consulting.. which doesn't make
much sense given the error. The Recovery Team that helped us in a separate SR ( we had
to do db_repairs not just recovery ) felt it was an important problem the OAF team needed to
strongly review.
Anyone else encounter this already and know of a solution?

After MANY hours of trial and error and research, we've identified ONE use case that seems to apply to 90% of the issue we have encountered.
YMMV.
The BC4J generated SQL which is generating the ORA-600 is

AND ORGANIZATION_ID=? RETURNING TROUBLESHOOT_DATE, FAA_TAG_DATE, FAILURE_ANALYSIS_DATE, LAST_MOD_DATE, FAA_REVISED_DATE, TTE_TECH_SEND_DATE, TTE_REP_RESPONSE_DATE, TTE_REP_APPROVED, TTE_RMA_RANDOM_KEY, OBJECT_VERSION_NUMBER, LAST_UPDATE_DATE, LAST_UPDATED_BY, LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN INTO ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?; END;".
We determined that if TTE_RMA_RANDOM_KEY was not a null value, we would get an ORA-600 error whenever we did an APPLY from the OAF Page to update the record.
If we set that table attribute to NULL for the record using SQL.. then used the OAF Page to APPLY.. it worked fine and the record saved without error.
We then modified the EO to NOT "Refresh After Update" ( thus removing it from the RETURNING clause generated )... and even if the TTE_RMA_RANDOM_KEY
had a value... the OAF Page APPLY worked and the record saved without error.
I cannot identify anything from the User programming side that is wrong ( and neither could Oracle ), and it REALLY should be in the RETURNING clause list of
attributes.. but this is the only workaround I've found that doesn't crash the Page and irritate the user to no end.
I have reported my findings via the SR back to Oracle to do with it what they may... but it looks strongly ,to me, to be an error in the BC4J/JDBC/Database
coordination and passing data between those black boxes.

Problem while downloading file from custom table

Hi All,
Im trying to download the file from the custom table where i have stored the uploaded files through apex.
I have created the download procedure as mentioned in the oracle docs ,
And given the execute grant for public user.
and calling that procedure by calling the URL -- #OWNER#.download_my_file?p_file=#ID#
But im getting the below error
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/apex/owner.download_my_file on this server.
Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.2.0.2 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at servername Port number
Can any one tell whats the problem here.

Your function apex_util.get_blob_file_src under region, the first argument must be the name of page item anywhere in your application that is of type "file browse." Is there any provision in SAP like fuction modules to do this functionality? As of now I am coding everything manually where so many possibilities are there for all kinds of objects. Hi,
The best way to do this is environment analysis. Follow the steps:
1. Open se38, type in the program name (don't click on on display/change or create button, stay on first screen only)
2. Click on environment analysis button (hot key SHIFT+F4)
3. It will throw a pop-up, which will ask for type of object you want to see, which are linked /used by this program. select all (or may be if you are only interested in Tables, then select table only)
4. Hit 'Enter'
You will get the full list of all objects used in this report program. Just note down the one which starts with Z or Y and that's it.
