List of Deleted sharepoint sites

SharePoint Experts,
How do I genererate a list of deleted sharepoint sites? I know there's a command Get-SPDeletedSite but I think that's for a specific site where you know what site and ID, etc.

Hi Hubble,
Yes you can used Get-SPDeletedSite – this command gets a list of all deleted Site Collections in your far.
the above command give the site id,path and datetime.

and you can also check in site collection administration setting click on recylce bin where you can get list of all deleted site.
Site Collection Recycle Bin, administrators can view items from both the End User, and second-stage Recycle Bins. After deleting a site, it will appear in the second-stage recycle bin viewed by selecting the "Deleted from end user Recycle Bin"
view.
If you delete a sub-site within a Site Collection, the sub-site can be recovered from the Site Collection Recycle Bin. The Site Collection Recycle Bin, sometimes referred to as the "2nd level" recycle bin is where items are normally moved after they

Recover a deleted SharePoint site

Hello there,
Using the below code, I deleted a SharePoint site.
SPWeb.Webs.Delete(http://mysite/sites/sitecollection/Site1)
and created a new site with the same path (SPWeb.Webs.Add())
Now I want to restore the deleted site.
I couldn't found the deleted site in both Site collection and site recycle bin. The settings related to Recycle bin in Central Admin are fine.
I am also not able to see the deleted site using Get-SPDeletedSite :(

Have you checked the second stage recycle bin? I don't have a 2010 installation handy to test and my thought is by creating a new site with the same path it may prevent you from restoring.
Get-SPDeletedSite only shows deleted site collections (SPSites are site collections, SPWebs are sites. Confused? :)

Duplicating list contents to SharePoint site in another farm

Hi,
What is the best way to duplicate the contents of a list between two sharepoint farms? Once all contents are in the destination, there will also have to be a scheduled update with new content. I have heard about a publishing feature in SP 2013. Will this
do the trick? If so, is there any documentation on how to accomplish this?

Cannot create dataset from claims based authentication sharepoint site in report builder 3.0

I have a sharepoint site, which is configured as claims based authentication (ref:

on this sharepoint site. As a result, the site is also integrated with reporting service. I try to create a report in the sharepoint site by clicking "New Document" -> "Report builder Report". The report builder will comes out and ask for credential to
connect to the report server. I use asp.net member to login and it can let me to create a data source which connect to a the list of the sharepoint site with credential option "Use current Windows user. Kerberos delegation might be required". However, when
I try to create a data set and click the query designer, error "Server was unable to process request. ---> Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))" appear as below:
Besides, non of my AD account can be used to login to the report builder. Errors below found in the ULS log:

Claims authentication types supported by SharePoint 2010 are Windows Claims, forms-based authentication Claims, and SAML Claims. In SAML-Claims mode, SharePoint Server accepts SAML tokens from a trusted external Security Token Provider (TST). From the
blog you referenced, it seems to use the SAML Claims authentication.
However, the Reporting Services client applications: Report Builder, the Report Designer in Business Intelligence Development Studio, and Management Studio do not support connecting and authenticating with LiveID or SAML Claims based SharePoint Web applications.
That's because the SAML Claims don't use the Reporting Services authentication endpoint. So, you have to change the Claims authentication type to use Report Builder on the SharePoint site.

UNSYNC A CONTACT LIST FROM OUTLOOK WITHOUT DELETING FROM SHAREPOINT SITE

Hi,
I recently created a list of Contacts on a SharePoint site which I then connected to my personal Outlook so that I had the contacts synced there. How do I remove them/unsync them from my Outlook without deleting them off the SharePoint site?

I assume you created a contact list in SharePoint 2013 and synchronized it to Outlook via Connect to Outlook per the link below:

If you would like to remove contacts from Outlook, you could right-click the folder in Outlook > Delete folder. This will remove it from Outlook and remain the contents in SharePoint.

Can't delete a Site Collection from SharePoint admin center completely

Hi All
I'm using Office365. And I wanted to delete a Site Collection from SharePoint admin center.
But at first, I couldn't delete it from there. So I opened the Site and delete it from the Site setting successfully.
Then I went back to SharePoint admin center to check it was deleted or not completely.
But the Site Collection was still on the Site Collections list.....
Things I did are
1. IE -> Tools->Internet Options-> In General Tab click on Delete in browsing history section and check all options and again click on delete.
2. Close and re-open the browser and sign back in
I wanna make free server resource to create new Site Collection.
Does anyone know how to delete a Site Collection completely?

Syncronize excel to Sharepoint list (i.e. a site calendar)

I need some help relating to syncing an excel sheet saved on sharepoint to a calendar on the same sharepoint site.
What I have is as follows:
1. A project site with an excel sheet save in a document app.
2. A Calendar on the project site.
That excel sheet has numerous formulas where there are two output columns, one with a date (i.e. date output) and one with a document name (Document output).
What i would like to happen is as follows: When the "date output" cell (which is normally blank) populates with a date i would like the accompanying "document output" cell to populate into the "date output" date on the site's
calendar. I have read a number of comments on syncing lists back to excel but none seem to pop out as answering my query. I have no idea if this is possible.
Any help would be appreciated.

Let’s verify that whether the two output columns are document library columns or in the excel sheet table.
If they are document library columns, you can create a workflow with SharePoint Designer using 2010 platform, choose create the list item action, create
list items into a calendar list. Configure the document
library columns to match the columns in the calendar.

I have a SharePoint 2010 farm with two Web Applications.
For example:
https://contoso.domain.com
https://finance.domain.com
Both Webapp use https --> 443. Same valid certificate for both (*.domain.com)
I tested exporting an Excel library in https://contoso.domain.com.
It export and sync up sucessful the Excel library and it updates it OK.
However, once exported the Excel library in https://finance.domain.com, when
I try to syncronize or update the library I receive an error back, which indicates: "A connection to the SharePoint site cannot be established. To synchronize or
refresh your list, you must be able to connect to the SharePoint site". I had tested the WebDav (Map Network Drive) and the connection results OK.
Do you have any idea about this issue?? Why https://finance.domain.com do not
synchronize or refresh in excel o SharePoint site???
I had tested the security with IIS, SSL, WebDav.

I solved this problem.
I created a new Application Web in the farm (https://project.domain.com), dismount content database the old application web ( https://finance.domain.com)
and the new application web (https://project.domain.com).
#New AppWeb project.domain.com
Get-SPContentDatabase -WebApplication https://project.domain.com | Dismount-SPContentDatabase -WhatIf
#Old AppWeb
Get-SPContentDatabase -WebApplication https://finance.domain.com | Dismount-SPContentDatabase -WhatIf
Mount the old content database to the new application web (https://project.domain.com).
Mount-SPContentDatabase "WSS_Content_Finance" -DatabaseServer "MyServer" -WebApplication https://project.domain.com
If you want to keep the same url, change the alternate access mappings.
Remember to change the bindings in IIS.

Connected SharePoint Sites listing Projects eventhough "Do not create a site" is set

Is it normal to see a list of projects in the PWA > Server Settings > "Connected SharePoint Sites" eventhough we have configured the config settings to "Do not create a site"? Is it actually creating sites or is it just listing
the projects that are store in Project On-Line ?
Note, only the names of projects display no other fields in that table are populated?

Mail for Access Request to O365 SharePoint site not received if a mail-enabled Distribution Lists' email address is provided.

I have the Access Request feature enabled in my O365 SharePoint site. This functionality is working fine for a single Site Owner's Email-ID and he is receiving the mail in his Outlook with an option to Approve/Deny the request. But when I specify the Email-ID
of a Distribution List (which consists of all the site owners), the mail is not sent to their respective members although the corresponding request is listed under the Pending Requests in the Access Requests list in Site Settings. Why is this happening and
if this not possible, kindly suggest a workaround.

Do those entries have a yellow star at the far right?
If they have then they are bookmarks. You can remove them if you open that link and click the star to open the Edit This Bookmark dialog and click the Remove button in that dialog.

Hello lethalleigh03,
There are few points to note down here.
1. If you simply clicked on delete the site you can restore that site by going to Recyle bin.
2. If you remove the feature and then delete the site in that case your PWA feature is removed so all your data will be deleted.
Either of the case you can approch Microsoft support to restore the site. After deleting the site data will be still there with Microsoft for 14days post that it will be deleted Permanently.
