List of differences between Ipod & Itunes

Is there a simple way to list the differences between the content of my Ipod and Itunes? So that I can just add what is new.
I am using a manual sync.
Thanks.

It is a very good way, but I want to add some music from long ago and I don't want to search 1 my 1 if it is already there....
It would be great to have a inteligent playlist with a rule that is: if(or not) on Ipod (name of knowed Ipod). Or a merger, that show exactly the differences between both.
Anybody has a differente way?

What is the difference between the iTunes and Applestore?

itunes: is an application which runs in a pc and mac. it plays music, downloads apps, books for idevices(exept macs), syncs media contents in the computer to idevice, etc.
and the second one, you asked '' difference between itunes and applestore''.  i think you meant the app store instead the applestore.if it was apple store, it would be really silly because apple store is for buying apple products and accessories. while app store is a part of itunes. so let me say about both stores(app and apple), and you choose the desition.
app store: is a part of itunes, which is used to download apps(applications) of various generes for your idevice.
apple store: is a place where you buy your macs, ipods, iphone, ipad, and accessories for all of the products mentioned here in this answer.
hope my answer solves your different question.

    What's the difference between iPod touch 4 32Gb order# MC544LL and PC544LL?
If it is the release date... ok, cool, then which is the newer?
I just bought the two of them used and want to give my daughter the better one
    Thanks

Thanks, I know they're for the most part the same, but...
I did a bit of googling myself before asking... but I could only find reference to the MC544LL release and not really any tech info on the PC544LL release.

  • Is there any difference between iPod Touch 5th Gen models?

I want to buy an iPod Touch 5th Gen, and i looked for it on the internet, and i noticed that every site has a specific model (eg. APTO5G32BL or MD717ZP/A), (some sites have the same model). And i want to know if there is a difference between iPod models so that i buy the better one.
    Thanks

first of all, i don't live in the middle east, i live in Australia.
after googling, you seem to be right, that the photo on the right is not a valid Apple model number.
but is it bad thing to not be a valid Apple model number, since it's cheapest i've ever seen.
and btw, if you can't read the model numbers:
    the left: MD717ZP/A
    the right:APTO5G32BL
    THANK YOUUUU

  • Could someone tell me the differences between ipod 4g released in January and the new iPod 4g released other than iOS5 ?

I just bought an iPod touch from NewEgg which said it was the latest iPod. When I opened it, I couldn't find iMessage. So when I checked the version, it was 4.3.5. Just want to know the differences between both iOS5 and earlier one, other than of course the OS. Wondering whether to return it or upgrade the OS to iOS5.

The OS really is the only different thing.
An iPod Touch 4th generation will still be an iPod Touch 4th generation no matter what OS you have running on it.
If you want to know more of the feature of iOS 5 then you can check here: http://www.apple.com/ios/.
You also don't need to return the product if you want the latest OS. You can do it yourself through iTunes.

  • Difference between ipod touches

hey, is there any differences between the ipod touches that do not come with the january software upgrade and ones that do come with the upgrade. (Becides the obvious applications).

Alright thanks, the reason I ask is becuase the place i bought it did not have any of the 16GB upgraded ones in stock so I went with the one that wasn't upgraded. I figured since it is $20 cheeper I will just buy the upgrade off iTunes for $20 and end up spending the same but getting the ipod today.

  • What are the differences between iPod 2nd and 3rd Generation models?

    Hi:
I have a couple questions about the differences between some of the iPod Touch models:
    1) What is the difference between the *2nd Gen 8GB iPod touch* and the *3rd Gen 8GB iPod touch?*
    2) What are the differences among the *3rd Gen iPod Touch 8GB* model and the *32 GB and 64 GB models* (other than the memory differences)?
    Thanks!

    none, really.
    2) What are the differences among the *3rd Gen iPod Touch 8GB* model and the *32 GB and 64 GB models* (other than the memory differences)?
the 32 & 64 GB models have advanced hardware components. 32GB and 64GB Touches gain 3GS specs - roughly 2x faster, with more advanced 3D graphics for games that capitalize on OpenGL 2.0 - and features like Voice Control.

  • Difference between ipods

What's the difference between the 30 gb ipod that i bought in March and the 30gb ipod that they sell now? Is there any difference? Or did they only get rid of the 60 gb and replace it with an 80gb version?
    Any help would be appreciated

Apple don't offer this kind of trade in. They have a recycling program in place that gets you 10% off the price of a new iPod if you hand in your old one at the time of purchase. You can do this (I believe) at any Apple store.
However, you may think that your iPod is worth more than 10% off the cost of a new one, and perhaps want to sell it on eBay instead.
There are sites such as Small Dog Electronics that do have a trade in policy for iPods.
Regardless of when you buy, and what model, there's always a new one just around the corner. Whilst it happens with high regularity in the IT sector, it is not exclusive to that industry. As I look around my house, I can no longer purchase my model of Pioneer HD TV (that i got in June 2006), microwave oven, fridge, hi-fi and goodness knows what else. Parked on the street outside is a car that cost me £20,000 and that model doesn't exist any more. But you know what? The TV still plays shows in exactly the way it did when I bought it; the microwave still cooks the stuff form the fridge which still keeps it cold until then; my music sounds the same on the hi-fi as it always did; and my car still gets me from A to B exactly as it did when I bought it.
Sure, the replacement model for the car, which still costs £20,000, has a few more bells and whistles, but they didn't exist when I purchased it. Does the fact that they now exist mean my model is rubbish? Of course not.
Even if you guys do manage to trade-in, within a few months there will be yet another new model and you will all be depressed again.
Be happy with what you bought - if you are always going to want the one about to be/just released you'll always be discontent.

  • Difference between Ipod mini 1st Generation & 2nd Generation?

Wondering the difference between a 1st generation and 2nd generation ipod mini? If you had a choice which would you pick and why? thanks for your help!

    Hi harpo,
see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300850 for a full description and http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61688#ipodmini for an illustration of visual differences.
As well as the differences already mentioned, they came with different accesories (the original model came with a FW charger and FW cable as well as the usb cable) . The original model can also be used with earlier versions of OSX than the later one.

  • What is the difference between iPod nano 6Gen darkgrey MC688ZD/A and MC688QB/A

    Hi everyone,
I am looking for an iPod nano 6 Gen in darkgrey color.
Now I found two models (both 8Gb, darkgrey, 6Generation) but different Part No.: MC688ZD/A and MC688QB/A
Does anyone know if there is a difference between these two?
    Looking forward to your assistance.
    Kind regards, Erik-Jan

The difference in the model numbers indicates the geographical location where the product is meant to be sold.  The first model number is for France, the Netherlands, and Germany.  The serial number may have the specific maunfacturing location coded in it.

  • Video -- difference between iPod and iPad versions?..

Hello all -- I am wondering, what is the difference between "create iPod version" and "create iPad version"/... I searched teh Net and couldn't find anything on this topic. If you have already created a video for use in an iPod, can it also be imported into an iPad?? Additionally, what is the difference between the two versions? Thanks very much for any input. (We're talking iPod Classic and iPad2...)
    Nick

the iPad is capable of displaying HD content (up to 720p), an iPod obviously is not. creating an iPad version will provide a file with higher resolution which will not play on iPod.
a file created for iPod will play on iPad, however, will not look as good on it.

  • Differences between ipod 5.5 and ipod 5.5g

    Goog evening
Yesterday I have bought a new 160 GB ipod, but I read on the internet that there is a difference between the ipods 5.5 and 5.5g. So I just want to know wath version is my ipod...
    Thanks so much
    Dinozzo²

ipod 5.5 and ipod 5.5g actually refers to the same iPod. 5.5g stands for "iPod generation 5.5",and so does 5.5. it's just an abreviation (hey, it's one character shorter ;-)).
as mentioned above, if you got a brand new 160gig iPod, this means you actually have an iPod of the 6th generation, so you got an iPod 6g (or iPod 6, or iPod classic. pick the term you prefer ;-))
