List of drivers and versions contained in "FieldPoint 5.0.1"

Can any one tell me which drivers (and their versions) are in the FieldPoint 5.0.1 release?
I'm having a configuration managment issue and need to know where some "odd" versions came from.
A compatability matrix would also be great..
I can find this information in the knowledgebase for FP5.0 and FP4.1... It was very useful...

Hi Chris,
Referenced Knowledgebase articles below...
1) Software Installation Compatibility for FieldPoint Real-Time Controllers -

2) What Versions of Software Drivers Can be Installed With My FieldPoint CD? -
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/29E41C43BD20C42586256FC8006C75B7
The problem I currently fighting is one of configuration management. I have over 80 cFP controllers deployed in all parts of the US (and soon to be Japan). We have been deploying these units for about 3 years now. As a result, the list and version numbers of the "features and components" on each of the cFP Controllers are not the same on all of the units.
For example -The cFP controller I'm currently working with has the Component named "FieldPoint Drivers 5.0.2" installed (as reported by MAX/Remote Systems/Software/AddRemove). But this same software reports that this version currently does not exist on my laptop, but versions 4.1.7 and 4.1.6 are availible.
I obviously don't want to go backward on the version, but I have no way of "pulling" this newer Component version off the cFP Controller to be installed on all of my other cFP Controllers. So the question is where did this odd 5.0.2 driver come from? Best I can tell it didn't come from me... The factory? Where/How would I get it, so I could test and deploy it across the other units?
More recently, I installed FP5.0.1 and found that "FieldPoint Driver 5.1.2" was now installed my laptop - Before I would start upgrading all of the cFP units, I would want to make sure that my current LabVIEW application works with this new driver, so we would go through a test phase... Once completed - then deploy...
To make this more confusing, we are about to jump from LV7.1 to LV8.0 (and LV8.2 after that later this year), where the "Components" now have different version numbers and compatability issues - ie: LV8 requires "Components" of certain miminum level...
Question: Are the Fieldpoint "Features / Components" backward compatable? Will FieldPoint Driver 5.1.2 work with both LV8 and LV7.1? A compatability table or matrix showing the released Components (like found in the knowledgebase article mentioned above) would clearly answer that question.
Enough history and background - back to my original question - What "features and componets" (and their version numbers) are released in FP501? What are they compatible with (LV7.1, LV80, etc)? Is there a way I can find this myself or do I have to bother you guys everytime a new FP release gets issued?
It keeps me awake at night thinking that I have a golden opportunity to really screw this up...
Ultimately, I'm trying to get a point where if I ever have to answer a question "Where did the "Features and Componets" on this cFP Controller came from and how does a new person to the group get them installed on their laptop?" - I will be able to do so. Hopefully, I will be able to say just to to the NI site and download FP501 (as an example)... And here is the matrix / table of what versions you need need for LV7.1, LV8.0 and LV8.2 , etc...
Thanks for your help - I hope I've made my problem/concern clear -

  • T61 and Version 2 print drivers

I have a T61 running Windows XP Pro.  Currently our print servers use the version 2 print drivers to print. The problem I'm have is that I can install the printer, but when I try to print I get the error of "Page failed to print, would you like to use the trouble shooter for assistance"
We are using version 2 drivers for the ability to print bar codes, and version 3 drivers will not let us print them.
I have noticed that if I remove the Nvidia display driver I can print using the version 2 drivers. (Current video card is Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M)  I installed the latest driver, but same results.
Has anyone had this same issue, or something similar?
     Thanks

The printing system is managed by CUPS, a unix level print server. I don't know if you could recover the correct files. I don't have System Files selected for backup, so I can't get into them to see if it would work. The way I would envision it working is you open Print & Fax System prefs, enter Time Machine, and it would allow you to go back in time on the Printer list. However, I could not do this and don't know if it is because it is not programmed or that I don't have any system files backed up.
What problems are you having with your printers?

  • On mozilla's OWN WEBSITE I get the message 'Your Firefox is out of date and may contain a security risk!" but I just download and installed the latest version?

I have the latest version of firefox to date (10/15/2014 v32) and I still get messages while on various websites (Youtube, Google, Gmail) telling me that Your Firefox is out of date and may contain a security risk.
I even get that message on the support pages of mozilla.org??
I've tried the about:config reset the useragent(s) fix but that doesn't work.
I've tried browsing in safe mode and still get the error.
    Why is this False/Positive happening?
    Thanks

hello your useragent (the information the browser sends to websites to identify its version) - apparently mistakenly - shows this:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20140923 '''Firefox/4.0.0; xs-A30GTmfXR3o;CkHZPf;'''
probably some sort of unwanted software has overwritten it. please refer to this article in order to reset the user-agent settings in firefox:

I'm having problems with FlashPlayerPlugin and plugin-container. They keep starting up and bogging down the system. This has been a recent occurrance. I've made sure that I have the latest version. I notice the problem when I am opening some applicatio, and it freezes. If I go to Task Manager, I can see the two Adobe apps sucking up CPU cycles. If I end the processes, then the other apps continue. Today, I uninstalled FlashPlayerPluginqand plugin-container. All day since I have had no freezing of an app. What should I do to correct the problem?

Here's an explanation of what those processes are.

I'm curious about what you did to uninstall just those.

We all can learn from this. Whenever you get stuck in a customer-service situation that goes nowhere, as soon as you become aware of the futility, get the name and employee ID of the person, then say, "I don't mean to be rude, I think we're both wasting our time. Perhaps you weren't trained for this issue, or perhaps your system isn't displaying the correct information. It doesn't matter, because I'm not getting proper customer support this way. The point is that you're a customer, and the company needs customers, so the individual who's failing to deliver good service needs to be identified so they can be properly trained, and so that problems in the system can also be identified, but more important is that you get the service you're entitled to.
If you search the forum for similar questions, you'll see the kind of information that the volunteer users like yourself on the forum need to know about your system and files involved, so they can help you better.

Many drivers and software for T530 are still 32-bit, despite being offered for 64-bit operating systems.

  • Canon 860 Series (Pixma) Printer Problems with OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) – links to Canon Support Site with Drivers and Software with install tips

After spending several hours sorting out Canon Pixma OSX problems here are my thoughts:
Canon 860 Series (Pixma 868) Printer Problems with OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) – links to Canon Support Site with Drivers and Software with install tips
    Problem:
    - New imac and MacBook Pro 2012 (OSX 10.8.2) had a problem using Canon Pixma 868 printer on network and would not scan or print using Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print), which has advanced scanning and photo printing functions.
    - When I connected the canon printer to my imac, OSX 10.8.2 automatically downloaded and installed drivers for Canon 860 series printer. I could then add the new printer (select ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”) and printer would work while connected via USB but could not get to print or scan over network wifi.
    - The original Canon 860 Series CD does not work with 10.8 and the manual / online instructions did not make sense (as based on CD install).
    Solution:
    1) Install Canon Printer Drivers and Software (from official Canon site)
Go to canon support site, review FAQ, then download and install following Pixma 860 Series software & drivers for OSX 10.8 (links see below). The version I downloaded is in brackets but check for updated version. Full instructions are below.
Canon 860 Series Drivers & Software  for OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion:
The base software and drivers needed for using Canon 860 Series on Mac OS X 10.8 (USB) are
    1 Printer Driver
(Canon MX860 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 10.67.1.0 (03-Aug-2012))
    2 Scanner Driver
(Canon MX860 series Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.4a (03-Aug-2012))
    3 Network Tool
(Canon IJ Network Tool Ver. 4.1.0 for Intel Mac (27-Dec-2012)
Canon Software for using advanced printing and scanning functions (while connected to network)
    4 Solution Menu
    (Canon Solution Menu Ver. 1.4.1 (27-Jul-2012 ))
    5 MP Navigator EX
(Canon MP Nav EX Ver. 2.1.3 (02-Auf-2012))
    6 Easy-PhotoPrint EX
    (Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX Ver. 4.1.6 (21-Jan-2013 ))
Canon Support (HK) – check your local site
    http://www.canon.com.hk/en/download/main/index.do
Select Product and drivers from support site eg http://support-hk.canon-asia.com/
    1. Choose a product category
    Multifunctional Printers
    2. Choose a product series
      Pixma
    3. Choose a product model
      Pixma MX868
    4. Choose type of document
    Downloads or FAQ
If you have problems installing the software under 10.8, see the FAQ on Canon site. You will need to allow software installs from “unidentified developers by using “Control” Key or by changing your system preferences)
    2) Check Canon Printer and Software Working while connected via USB
Once you have downloaded and installed drivers and software and restarted computer, check that the printer and Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print) are working via USB.  Open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App) and make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it shows the correct SSID Wifi settings (under the Canon IJ Network Tool App ‘Setup menu’).  This is normally done as part of the automatic install but worth double checking
    3) Add new network printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”).
After you have checked USB printing turn off printer, unplug the USB cable and shutdown the Canon IJ Network Tool App.
Then turn the printer back on and wait 30s. Then add a new printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”). Once you select “+” (add new printer), wait 10-30s for the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer to appear in the new window eg Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) (Kind: “Canon IJ Network”)
DO NOT ADD THE MX 860 SERIES BONJOUR SCANNER (the Bonjour Scanner is the built-in software, is not needed and often appears first on the add printer list).  The Canon scanner can be accessed used through the MP Nav EX Ver. 2.1.3 software (which has much better functions)
You will now have two Printer Canon MX860 (USB) and Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network). Set the Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network) as default and test print and scan
If the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer does not appear, check the printer and make sure that the printer can see the wifi network. On the printer select Menu / Settings / Device Settings / Lan Settings / WLAN Setting List.  It should say WLAN Active, identify the SSID and have an IP address
If the printer can not see the Wifi Network, plug the USB cable back in, then open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App). Make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it has your SSID settings (under setup), if it has this info, restart the computer and the printer and try again

  • My solution for No Audio -- Conexant drivers and Windows 7 x64

My son and I have the L2000 laptop that came with 32 bit XP and used the Conexant chipset for Audio. I had been using an SB Audigy PCMCIA card so I am not sure when Audio was really lost; however, he noticed it when I upgraded his PC. I scoured various forums looking for 64 bit  Windows 7 drivers for Conexant audio but to no avail. Microsoft and Conexant both said that HP should supply the drivers. By the way HP, the Conexant website says that they do not supply drivers even though they make the chipsets "at the request of the OEM's." Another post said that HP was not going to supply these drivers for Windows 7. The solution from HP for my model and Windows 7 was the "HP Software Advisor" which was 67MB and totaly useless. It appears that this is a very common problem. Anyway, here is what you do:
First you need 2 files which ironically enough come from HP, they are SP35558.exe and SP35558.cva They contain the Conexant drivers for Vista x64. (I subsequently have found the 32 bit drivers and the procedure should be very similar except the files are SP34789.exe and SP34789.cva). Type the following into your browser address bar ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/ About half way down you will find the sub-directory with these files. Just right click each one and save to your desktop.
Double click SP35558.cva and tell Windows to use Notepad to open it. Scroll about half way down to "[Operating Systems]" and after "WV64UL=OEM" insert:
    W764HB=OEM
    W764HP=OEM
    W764PR=OEM
    W764UL=OEM
( For 32 bit systems use W732HB=OEM, etc.)
I next went up about 10 lines to "[System information]" and added

After modding the cva file, I saved it to C;/swsetup/sp35558/
I then executed the SP35558.exe file. It did not work the first time -- I missed a line in my cva file. However, I then manually installed the Conexant drivers as follows and voila I had sound, nice crisp clear sound.
Under Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under "Other" and choose "Update Driver" Then" Browse your PC" and "Choose from a list". Select "Sound, audio and game controllers", then Conexant, then "Have Disk" . Browse to C:/swsetup/sp35558/ and open "cp6308Ba.inf" (64bit remember). I thought that I would recompile my answer and then mark this thread as solved since it was not a post about a problem but rather how I solved a very common problem that might be of benefit to others.

The use of the cva file is to streamline the driver install and it is kind of cool if it works. If you cannot find it or you are not successful the first time or you do not want to bother with modding anything, do not worry, the manual install will work for sure.
Run sp35558.exe to extract everything and let it strike out. Then go to Device Manager and update the driver manually as follows:
Under Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under "Other" and choose "Update Driver" Then "Browse your PC" and "Choose from a list". --Quick Guide for flashing BIOS, provided by MSI--
    1. Create a MS-DOS boot diskette, then copy the the .exe and the bios file to the floppy disk. Both of these files can be found in the package you downloaded.
    2. Press "Delete" and go to BIOS setup while computer bootup.
Check BIOS advanced features and see if BIOS flash write control is enabled
(This option must be enabled. If you can not find this setting, it means the BIOS can be
    flashed.)
    3. Boot from MS-DOS boot diskette and get a:\> prompt.
    4. Type "", then press ENTER
    5. The flash program will then ask "Do you want to save BIOS?", please press "N" for no. The when you see Press 'Y' to program or 'N' to Exit, please press "Y" to continue.
    6. After flashing complete, remove floppy and reset the system .
    7. Press DELETE or F1 when prompted at first reboot after flashing.
    8. Load BIOS optimized defaults, then save settings and exits.
    Drivers & Needed Files:
(Note: All these drivers are for Windows XP.)
Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.40
(Please use at your own risk, these are LEAKED drivers. Password for the .zip file is "ocworkbench rules". Also, you will need to rename the WinXP_2K folder in IDE to either WinXP or Win2K else the installer doesn't pick it up.) Thanks for the link Wonkanoby!
*NEW* Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 5.03
More leaked drivers? Seems some parts of the drivers are older and some are newer.
    1. Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Web Install) -or- Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Full Install)
    2. Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Web Install) -or- Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Full Install)
    3. Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.24
    4. AMD Athlon 64 Processor Driver Version 1.1.0.14
    5. Nvidia Video Card Driver Version 56.72 -or- Omega Nvidia Video Card Driver Version v1.5303
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard Nvidia drivers.)
    5. ATI Video Card Driver Version 4.7 -or- Omega ATI Video Card Driver Version 2.5.51
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard ATI drivers.)
    6. Onboard Sound Driver (Realtek AC'97 Audio Codec) Version A3.61
It is HIGHLY reccomended that you install the drivers/needed files in the order listed above. Please note that there are two #5's because you either install one or the other depending on your video card, do not install both of them.
You will come across a problem here though. You can't install the chipset drivers without installing the Windows service pack and DirectX first, but the Windows service pack and DirectX installs need the internet to download files and you won't have working internet until you install the chipset drivers. Here's what I did to get around this. Instead of downloading the web install versions of Windows service pack and DirectX, download the full version and and put them along with all the other drivers on a backup hard drive or burn them to a CD, this way you will have all the drivers you need when it's time to install them and none of them will require the internet to download files.
Another note when installing drivers. Apparently the Nvidia chipset drivers also come with drivers for the onboard sound, but people seem to agree that the Realtek onboard sound drivers are better. When you are installing the Nvidia chipset drivers, just be sure to uncheck the box for sound drivers when it asks you which drivers you would like to install. Now you can safely install the Realtek drivers without any chance of conflicting sound drivers. Thanks for the tip Wonkanoby!

The installer still reccomends to install it beforehand for full USB 2.0 functionality... I would have put what you said in there but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
oh.  IIRC the installer just says USB 2.0 will be fully functional after SP1 is installed.  So after you install SP1 you go into device manager and u click update driver and it will auto search and update the driver.
Simplicity-wise, i guess its pretty much equal.  It might take less preparation to just copy DX9 full onto a CD and install that first, then nforce driver, then right away you have yoru internet connection.
but i dunno.. i guess i will try it your way this time when my RMA"d board comes.
i will be fomratting and doing a fresh install later on today and will let you know if i come across any problems

  • Installed Windows & 32 Bit But Drivers and USB ports NOT WORKING.

I bugh an HP Pavillion TS 14 Notebook that came preinstall with Windows 8.1 64 bit which I hate so wiped the drives and installed Windows 7 32 bit and now I have a big problem.  None of my network drivers work and the 2 uSB ports where I plug my mouse and other SB hardware in no longer work.
I did a back up of the SW Set up file that has all of the HP dvers for my laptop but both the network and video divers won't install. And When I try to install the drives I get the eror message saying they are not compatible with this version of Windows.
I have loked on the HP website under my laptop model which s as above but HP don't do drivers for Windows 7 32 for my laptop. And I have looked on both the Realteck website for both the Realteck ethnet and Realteck wireless network drivers but none of them work or install on my operating system. The video drivers Intel don't work either. So I am really stuck a I cannot go back to Windows 8.1 as though that 32 bit Windows 7 would work on my laptop but most of my drivers are not compatible with the operating sytem And I don't want to install 64 bit Windows as I like 32 bit.
The drivers that are not working on Windows 7 32 bit are:
    Realteck RTL8188EE 802-11b/gn witeless lan
    Realteck ethnet die and
    Intel High definition graphcs driver
Which don't work at all on Windows 7 32 bit as they are 64 bit only drivers.
So can you please post me a link bth the network and Intel graphics drvers that work with my laptop. As I have tried lots of different Realteck and raphics drivers for Window 7 but NONE of them work on my system. And None of my USB ports are working either. So how do I solve this problem?
    This question was solved.

    Hi:
Should be no problem to get W7 32 bit to work on that model.
Just use all of the drivers and software from the HP Probook 450 G0 on your model except the Audio, BIOS and firmware files.
Your model uses the Intel HD graphics driver only.
The first driver you have to install is the Intel chipset installation utility and then reboot.

Audio:  Accept the agreement.  Download and install the first driver on the list.

If for some reason, the Intel HD graphics driver from that model does not work, then use this one...

  • P55-CD53, how to install SATA AHCI drivers and Matrix Storage Manager?

Please excuse my noobness as this is for my first PC build and much of it is Greek to me, but could someone please inform/educate me as to what the following drivers (link) are for and which need to be installed after a fresh installation of Windows 7 Pro x64? Do I need to install all of them because some of these appear to be redundant, just from different manufacturers, or am I mistaken? I have a single 500GB HDD but will probably add more down the road.

On a side note, I have already flashed the BIOS to 1.4 using the Forum USB Flashing Tool (thanks!).

    Thanks.
After booting from the Windows 7 disc, I selected Repair Windows, Load Drivers. Which specific controllers do I need to install for the P55-CD53 MB since there are multiple controllers listed for each of the four SATA compressed files?
Considering the multiple files and multiple controllers, is there no one out there with a P55-CD53 that has AHCI mode enabled that can give dumbed down instructions on how to do so?
The manual states "Select the appropriate RAID controller and press enter." Well... which one is the appropriate controller? Am I suppose to load the driver for all the AHCI controllers if that's even possible?
For the Intel P55 AHCI / RAID Drivers compressed file, these are the controllers available within F6flpy64\iaAHCI.inf:
    Intel(R) ESB2 SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) ICH 10D/DO SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH8R/DH/DO SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH9R/DO/DH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) PCH SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 4 Port
Intel(R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 6 Port
Also, regarding the dual BIOS controls for SATA/IDE/RAID settings previously mentioned, I believe SATA ports 1-6 are controlled via Intel and 7,8 are controlled via Jmicron. Considering my HDD is currently plugged into SATA 1, Jmicron probably isn't necessary for the moment.
    Edit:
Turns out that none of the drivers for the controllers listed in iaAHCI.inf could be installed. However, I went ahead and installed the drivers listed for all the controllers in iaStor.inf. I reinstalled Windows 7 to get rid of the BSOD. I then installed the chipset drivers and Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

  • Which drivers and software do I download?

I was told I should only download drivers and software updates from the manufactures website.. which would be hp.. so I went to the software and drivers download page and after entering my product information it gave me a list of downloads which was
    Driver - Audio (‏1)
    Driver - Graphics (‏2)
Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices (‏2)
    Driver - Network (‏3)
    Driver - Storage (‏1)
    BIOS (‏1)
    Diagnostic (‏1)
    Order Recovery Media - CD/DVD/USB (‏1)
    Software - Multimedia (‏5)
    Software - Solutions (‏1)
    Utility - Tools (‏3)
So how do I know which ones I need or do I need to download all of them? I have a compaq cq58 and just want to make sure I keep my laptop up to date!

Several ways to check if you have the version listed or an older version. For drivers use Device Manager.Right click each device, such as Audio, choose Properties. You can check the version of the driver and compare it to the description in the file on your software/driver page. Or just use the option on your sofware/driver page to let HP do a Scan to check your versions against what is new.

  • Cannot get drivers and updates for my PC

I'm finally upgrading my hp pavilion d4500e cto desktop pc from XP to Windows 7 (I don't like Win 8 so got Win 7 Prof). Before upgrading, I want to update the BIOS if needed and save off the drivers and updates  to external storage. I went to the Support page > Software and Drivers and searched on my product name.  I'm having issues getting the drivers and updates I need for this PC.  If I use the Solution and Update Finder wizard, it scans forever and never stops.  I did a direct search on the product and clicked the product name.  However I then get a page that says "Page Not Found".  I tried searching for these drivers/updates on my newer HP Envy laptop thinking maybe I could at least save off from that PC.  I get the same results after I click on the product name - Page Not Found .  Help!! I need these drivers/updates ASAP. This PC still works great and has plenty of memory but due to software changes over the years I really need to upgrade to Win 7 now. TIA

    You're very welcome.
There is no W7 BIOS update for your model.
There is a BIOS update for the XP operating system and you installed it, that would be the latest version.
Do not attempt to install a BIOS update written for another operating system.  In other words, don't install that BIOS update after you install W7.
Here are the W7 x64 drivers you need...
    Chipset driver:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/14875/en-us
    Graphics:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us
Audio: First file on the list.
    http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=1&CatName=Sound+Blaster&prodID=14103&...
If you are missing any drivers after you install W7 and the above drivers, please post back and let me know what is missing and I will see what I can do to help.
