  • Requirements for upgrading from LR3 to LR4

The processor requirements for LR4 reads "Multicore Intel processor with 64 bit support." The processor description in the iMac I bought in early 2009 reads "2.8 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo." Will my processor handle LR4?
    Thank you
    Jim B

As mentioned above the d/load will be the current release whereas the disk version will be 4.0 and need updating.
There are many differences between Lr3 and 4 though including catalogs (Lr3 catalogs will have a copy made and upgraded) and processing (a new process version) which can alter image appearance of existing files. So don't update the process version on existing files before you have experimented - I do it only when reviewing a file if I feel I can work it better with the new version, not updating the whole lot at once!!

  • Hardware requirements for upgrading to OS X 10.4

We have an iMac running OS X 10.2.8 and we wish to upgrade to OS X 10.4. The machine is running standalone at home. We do not have any firewire device. Can we still do the upgrade?

    Hi Again wendy!
    Here is some additional info.
Mac OS X Versions 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4, are complete system upgrades that must be purchased.
The point upgrades, such as 10.1.x to 10.1.5 (Final) 10.2.x to 10.2.8 (Final), 10.3.x to 10.3.9 (Final), and 10.4.x to 10.4.8 (Pending), can be downloaded for free.
Tiger is available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, can also be purchased rather inexpensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, AppleRescue, FastMac, etc.
Be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
The disc should look exactly like the image in the above links.
    Additional info in these links.

  • Requirements for upgrade

I own the previous (full box, not an upgrade) version of Logic Studio (the version that came with Logic 8) and am thinking about uninstalling logic to clear up some space on my laptop and external HD. However in the future I plan to buy the next Logic studio upgrade for $199. Will I have to reinstall Logic 8 studio and the ~40 gigs of files that go along with it again before upgrading? or is the upgrade version self-contained/complete as a standalone product with all the ~35 gigs of supporting material?

The Upgrade box is exactly the same as the full boxed version except it requires an existing serial number to run.
So no need to re-install L8 prior to installing Logic 9 as ALL the content is on the discs of the upgrade version.

  • MS System Center Operations Manager 2010 Download required for Upgrade from SCOM 2007 R2 (Select)

We need the download of SCOM 2012 without Service Pack1.
Upgrade from SCOM 2007 R2 (select license) fails while upgrade check with error: Logs shows "At least one of the following applications is installed on this computer. Due
to incompatibility with System Center 2012 - Operations Manager, these applications must be uninstalled."
Upgrade was started from dos elevated prompt with modified parameters like this:
    setup.exe /silent /upgrade
    /AcceptEndUserLicenseAgreement:1
    /UseLocalSystemDASAccount
    /DataReaderUser:<domain\user>
    /DataReaderPassword:<password>
Research in internet and we found another person with same issue, which reports that direct upgrade from SCOM 2007 R2 to SCOM 2012 SP1 is not possible but if upgrade is done over
SCOM 2012 to SCOM 2012 SP1 it succeeds.
Unfortunately, we don't find any downloads for the first release of System Center 2012  e.g. Operations Manager.
Everything shows Service Pack 1 or the newer R2.
    Who can help?

Our “Recommended” rolling upgrade path looks like the following:
    SCOM 2007R2 CU4+ > SCOM 2012 RTM UR2+ >
    SCOM 2012 SP1 UR4+ > SCOM 2012 R2

  • My PC (XP, 2 GHz Celeron, 768 M ram) does not meet the minimum requirements for upgrade to version 6, so how can I stop Firefox from nagging me to upgrade?

I would LIKE to install version 6, but since my machine (XP, 2 GHz Celeron, 768 M ram) does not meet the system requirements there is no reason to continue the annoying nag screens.

  • Is Solution Manager required for ECC 6.0 upgrade?

We will upgrade our system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0.  Is Solution Manager a required tool in ECC 6.0?  My understanding is Solution Manager has to be run on a different server, ie.  we will have to buy a new server.   We have a small SAP implementation with only FI & CO modules, so we are trying to cut our costs if we could.  Can anybody share their experience?  Thanks for any input.

In an Upgrade , Solution Manager is required for Upgrade Keys and downloading the support packs . Now a days to download the support packs you have to approve it in Solution Manager otherwise it won't show up in your download basket.
May be SAP can provide you the keys & approve the SPs ( they used to do that before ) , in that case it isn't required.
You can also manage your upgrade project in Solman . Sooner or later you need to install solution manager. it's a nice system. Many good features like central monitoring, early watch alert etc etc ...
    Thanks

  • What are the system requirements for 4.0 of Firefox?

I am trying to found out what the system requirements are for 4.0 of Firefox.
I ask this because I am currently running Firefox 3.6 on 11.3 OpenSUSE Linux. I am considering an OS upgrade. I built a LiveCD to test the new OS before installing and when I try running Firefox it crashes. It is apparently 4.0 beta or something. Nowhere can I find a simple list of system requirements for Firefox.
