List of "fax to PC" compatible MFP's

Hi,
can someone please guide me to a list of multifunctions that support the "fax to PC" functionality?
After trying / buying two printers that would have this function, I really need to be sure this time. It's getting frustrating.
The requested function should allow to save the fax as a jpg on the PC, before printing the fax.
Remainder of requested features is laserjet/scan/fax.
Thanks in advance!
Erik

Hi @Erik3105,
What kind of laser printer do you look for?
If you would like a Black and White MFP, the HP Laserjet Pro M225 provide fax to PC capabilties:
http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=CF485A&opt=B19&sel=BPRN
If you would like a color Laser MFP check the M425 printer:
http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=CF288A&opt=B19&sel=BPRN
Both of those supports Fax to PC via the HP Software, JPG is not supported however, the software allow recieving the fax as a TIF or PDF file.

Shlomi

  • Why is the PAPER SIZE pull down list different between my 2 identical MFPs?

Indesign 6 - Toshiba MFPs with PS3 Drivers.
I have 2 of the same models Toshiba MFPs - 5560c, and using the Universal PS3 Driver under Windows 7 PC.
Why is my Paper Size pull down list different between to the 2 MFPs?  The main reason I ask; I don't leave it on "Defined by Driver" because that affects full bleed with crop mark printing, so I setup the driver first (say 12x18), then come back to the InDesign dialog and select a paper size.
For my scenario I need 12x18 - which shows in one list but not the other. Aside from that the lists are totally different - why is that?  How can I manage that list?
    Thanks,

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I understand you're unable to receive faxes on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw.  I would like to assist you with this.   Thanks for the comprehensive run-down on your setup - that helps a lot.  With cable internet connections sometimes a filter is required for the fax receiving function to work, yet, I do have some suggestions you can try in troubleshooting the issue.   Firstly, I recommend you adjust your fax speed to slow:  Touch the wrench/Setup buttonSelect Fax SetupSelect Fax SpeedChoose slow(User Guide, p. 129) Additionally, I recommend clicking on your printer's icon on your PC desktop and running the fax test portion of the fax wizard to determine if there's another factor contributing to the receive failure.  You might find this article helpful as well.  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. Have a great day,

My Microtek scanner has bit the dust; though not compatible with 10.5.6, it was doing just fine with the great software VueScan. But now that I must buy a new scanner, can anyone give me a good list of a few flatbed scanner models that are truly compatible with Leopard 10.5.6? Have had trouble really finding this info online. Thanks

  • Where do i update my authorized senders list for fax Photosmart 7510

I want to verify and add to my authorized e fax senders list but can't find the area

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes.  I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format.  However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there.  I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC.  I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.

The 3 steps are: fax setup, and in fax setup, goto fax reports (using the arrows to browse the list, and touch the item or enter), and then fax log (again using arrows if needed and touch the choice).
If you see network, tools, etc. you are in the wrong menu.
When you select fax setup, what choices are available?

  • Delete List of Fax Jobs Completed

    Can the list displayed at:
    http://localhost:631/printers/InternalModem?whichjobs=completed
    be deleted?
    PowerBook G4 17   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    msmo1,
My understanding is that there is a problem with the admin functions of browser print/fax monitoring, however, give this a try:
    1. Click on "Admin" at the top of the window you posted.
    2. Enter your id and password (you may have to enter it twice).
    3. Now try to go back to your window that displays the problem fax job. Highlight it and select "delete".
(you may need to do this out of the order I suggested to make it work...ie, step 3 first...I haven't done it in a while!)
    Hope this helps!

  • HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177 Series Fax sends but won't receive faxes

I can send faxes using HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177 Series Fax but I cannot receive them. I have faxed test pages and the setup is correct. Any suggestions?

    Hello DBrad8,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're unable to receive a fax using the Laserjet MFP M177. I will do my best to assist you! First, I need to find out what type of added features do you have on your fax line? Please post these information on this thread.
Do you have an answer machine on this line? If so, how many rings to answer is this set to?
Do you have an Internet Service on this line?

  • Where is the list of mac models that 10.6 is compatible with?

    Hi,
About 6 months ago I found a list on Apple's support site that listed which iMac models were compatible with 10.6. Could someone please point me to it?
At the time I was dismayed to find that my early 2008 24" 2.8 Ghz Intel core 2 Duo iMac was a gaping ommission in a list of iMacs both older and newer than it. Also I could have sworn I read a few accounts of people NOT being able to upgrade that particular model. Now, I can no longer find the posts or links... Maybe I was on crack or I have misremembered some search detail. Anyway, any help greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks!

I believe it is this early 2008 version
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP485
although the one above lists 6mb of L2 cache, whereas my system profiler says mine is 4Mb of L2 cache.
Strangely the 2007 model (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP16) lists a 24" with 4 gb L2 Cache but the processor speed is 2.4 Ghz. So maybe my computer is some edge-case model?
    system profiler yields:
    Model Name:          iMac
      Model Identifier:          iMac7,1
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:          2.8 GHz
      Number Of Processors:          1
      Total Number Of Cores:          2
      L2 Cache:          4 MB
      Memory:          4 GB

  • A list of compatible digital camcorders for imovie 6.0.1 (255)

I'm looking for a list of camcorders that are compatible with imovie 6.0.1. I have a JVC GR-DVL9500U and it will intermittently work, what I mean is on a fresh install of the application and reset of the camera imovie will recognize the camcorder, the application will work with the camcorder for a few minutes then the application locks up and it forces me to do a hard restart with the power button, when the computer reboots the camcorder is no longer recognized. Does anyone have a list of supported camcorders or a solution to my problem?
    Thanks
2.3GHz Power Mac G5 Cheese Grater   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   mem 3GB, ATI Radeon 9650

Most camcorders which have a little FireWire/DV/i.Link connector are pretty much compatible with iMovie, although different models may have different quirks.
Long ago Apple said that it wouldn't or couldn't test every camcorder with every new release of iMovie, but the latest list of camcorders ..which is never complete or up-to-date, should be here, but - as you can see - it just leads to different manufacturers' own web-sites nowadays, as Apple just can't test every single cam which is on the market.
Apple's info and suggestions about getting camcorders to be recognised by iMovie is here.
Essentially, it involves trying every permutation of camera off, or camera on, before connecting to or starting iMovie ..or starting iMovie with the camera already connected and playing ..or not!
Things you might try include throwing away iMovie's Preferences ..i.e; a file called "com.apple.iMovie.plist" which is stored in <your user name>/Library/Preferences.
Dan's excellent "Unofficial iMovie FAQ" also has possible answers to this and many many more iMovie questions, here.

  • LaserJet 1536dnf's ToolBox FX no longer views faxes received to Windows 8.1 (64-bit) laptop

My 1536dnf was previously receiving faxes to my Toshiba laptop. A message box would appear on screen informing me when faxes were received. I used to be able to open the HP ToolBoxFX where a list of faxes received would appear in the received faxes log screen - AND A CLICK ON "VIEW" LINK would be displayed; I'd click on "VIEW" and the fax would apear as a PDF doc.
HOWEVER, for some reason the VIEW link no longer appears in the received faxes log; there is nothing to click on to view the fax, and hence I CANNOT VIEW RECEIVED FAXES anymore.
In the received faxes log screen it still displaces the date/time, number of pages, and from whom the fax is received, I am just not able to view the (apparently) received fax. If I knew what folder on my PC the faxes were stored I would go there to pull up the PDF docs, but I cannot find where this data is stored.
I've also noticed thatI have April 2014 firmware and the latest firmware update is dated August 2014, but after multiple attempts the latest firmware update will not install. It downloads, appears to install, but the config report indicates the newest firmware is NOT installed.
The LJ  1536dnf remains in my local network via eathernet cable, and the printer and scanner components of the MFP function normally. The fax component manually sends faxes and can receive and print faxes in hard copy form.
**PLEASE SOMEONE HELP**  Thank you in advance.

    Hi @SimonSpeak ,
I see that you are having issues opening the faxes from the Toolbox. I will be happy to help you.
    Restart the computer.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software, just to rule out any interference.
Try opening the Toolbox Software again.
Make sure Adobe Flash is up to date. I believe it piggy banks the HP Toolbox Software.
You can always restore your computer back to a earlier time when everything was working properly. It might have been a update that caused this issue, since uninstalling and reinstalling the software isn't allowing the software to work either. How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC on Windows 8.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Try updating the printer's firmware by a USB connection. HP LaserJet Firmware Update Utility.

  • Can I send a file to a fax machine?

I want to know if I can send a pdf or other file to a fax machine.

Brother has a table that lists which Faxes work with 10.8.
Canon has released new Fax software for 10.8 and some of their printers.
Epson has a table that includes some printers as listed as Fax compatible.
HP website says the HP Fax driver ships with some of their printers, but is not specific as to which ones.
The USR 5637 modem has plug and play FAX compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 to 10.8.  FAX compatibility is one of the options available through the Print dialog together with the PDF save options in Mac OS X.
