Hi
We want upgrade system from 470 CIN patch level 22 to 470 CIN patch level 27.
i would like to know what will be the side effects and precautions to be taken for MM prospective wise. i also wanted know after upgradtion what all the notes required to be applied for new secondary and higher education cess. i need side effects of upgradation, precaustions and list of notes after upgradtion.

Problem after upgrade from patch level 36 to 43

Hi,
Recently our system is upgraded from 36 to 43 patch level. After this there are problem in doing hiring action, IT0000 is saving but the next infotype IT0001 does not gets saved and also no error message. So, really not able to figure out what could be the problem.
I was debugging the standard code i.e once the 'save' button is clicked in IT0001 in PA40, but in vain. I am not able to find out where or in which program/include the data gets saved in PA0001. If any one aware of this please let me know.
Since IT0001 is not getting saved, there are probs with IT0007 and IT0008.
Please let me know your views.

Thanks for the reply. Ya, the problem was not due to upgrade,but some other issue. Not able to find till now. I checked IGMOD features and it is in 'Active' mode only. No luck.

Please verify that you have completed all the steps in the Developer 6i upgrade doc. Also, please post the complete error message.
Have you tried to regenerate the forms via adadmin and see if it helps?
If none of the above helps, please obtain the FRD file as per (Note: 150168.1 - Obtaining Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD) In Oracle Applications 11i) and post the contents of the log file here.

PI 7.1 upgrade - PI_BASIS patch level in ECC

Hello
We are looking at upgrading our XI 7.0 SP12 to PI 7.1. Our backend ECC system is at PI_BASIS SP11. Most of our interfaces with the backend are through ABAP proxies.
Will an upgrade to PI 7.1 demand an upgrade to PI_BASIS in the backend ECC system as well?
If not, what is the minimum SP level the PI_BASIS component in the backend ECC system should be at?
I don't find this information in upgrade guide; where will this information be normally available?

You can use PI 7.1 with any SAP system.
However, if you want to use Abap proxies based on message interfaces of type "stateless" with WS-RM protocol, the ECC requires SP 14.
The Abap proxies based on XI 3.0 protocol do not require any special patch level.

Kernel upgrade - 640 patch level 247 - subsequent patches needed

Hi community,
I recently upgraded the kernel of our system SAP ECC 5.0 to kernel release 640 patch level 247
I used the the two files EXE and EXEDB as I usually do in this cases.
Unfortunately this kernel is affected with the problem described in note 1239685, which is critical for us.
To solve the problem SAP recommends upgrading kernel to patch level 252, which is not present in my files, but is present in the single disp+work package, which is level 273
What is the correct procedure in this case? I have to unpack only the disp+work package or all the archives listed in the download place?

Dear Valerio,
The packages SAPEXE.SAR and SAPEXEDB.SAR contain a complete set of database independent (SAPEXE.SAR) and database dependent (SAPEXEDB.SAR) executables. A kernel patch is delivered as a dw.SAR package. It is sufficient to extract the content of the dw.SAR into DIR_EXECUTABLE (normally /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run for a 6.xx system on UNIX). Of course, this should be done while the system is down.

How to check IGS version and procedure for upgrading IGS patch level

Hi all,
We are on BIW 3.5 .Iam not clear about how to check the version of IGS and its patch level .I went through various notes but still iam confused with tracing it , can someone plz help out?
Secondly want to upgrade IGS version i went through note 454042 but still confused with doing that , Can someone plz refer other notes or detailed procedure for upgrading IGS.
Our BIW Production and Test are on AIX and Development is on HP-Unix OS .
Points guaranteed for the same. Requested to revert at earliest as this is urgent .

The installation/upgrade procedures for the integrated IGS are as follows:
Integrated Version Installation
The integrated IGS is automatically installed with the SAP Web Application Server.

You find the upgrade files for the integrated IGS version on the SAP Service Marketplace:

Address book list stopped working after upgrade today

After upgrading to ver 31.1.0 today, all my address book mailing lists stopped working for some reason.
It says it is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. How do I correct this problem?

I have new information about this.
It looks like it's [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1060901 this bug]. If you have an account on Bugzilla, it would help to vote for that issue.
It seems lists with a description that includes several words have this problem. The bug report suggests replacing the blanks " " between the words in such lists' descriptions with an underscore "_".
If you don't want to change your descriptions, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1018299#answer-623437 the other workaround provided] still works.

List forms corrupted after upgrade to 2013

We upgraded from SharePoint 2010 to 2013. Most list forms, the ones from out of the box lists were corrupted so when we click on Add New Item or View Item we get an error. Sometimes it says list does not exist, sometimes it says "web parts page error"
and so on. Also all customized list forms got corrupted as well.
I need to know if there is a fix for that because when we tried to revert to the original default we did not find those forms in the report. We tried to revert the list views to the default but that also didn't work.
Any advice is much appreciated.

Do you have SharePoint Designer 2013 installed on client machines? if so, open target list delete non-working forms and use good ones from another list.
Steps in brief..
In SPD at site level > Access List and Libraries > Select Problem list > delete existing 'NewForm.aspx'
In SPD at site level > Access List and Libraries > Select Problem list > Add
Form> Select Action 'New Items' > Set this form as Default> 'Type a new
name 'NewForms''.aspx> Apply changes.

I'm having problems with Notes after upgrade to OS4. Anyone else?

After upgrading mu iphone 3GS to the new OS4, I'm having serious problems with my Notes. If I edit old notes and klick Done, it now takes longer then ever to save. And when the save is finished, my latest edits are gone! The note is back to the text before I opened it up for editing...
Has enyone experienced this after upgrading?
Also, why does it take such a long time so save the notes now? I can see in the "progress bar" the phone is connecting to the Internet after klicking Done. Why is that? It never did that before. Does the new OS4 save all notes on some sort of server instead of just saving on my phone? Can I shut this function off somehow?

We have 3 system landscape DEV, QAS & PRD on win 2003, oracle 10G, ECC 5.0.
Our PRD system is on MSCS with CI on node A and DB on node B.
Recently I successfully upgrade kernel off DEV & QAS system to patch level 196 of stack 18.
When I tried to upgrade the kernel of PRD system one of the cluster resource drive (The drive contains the usr folder) is automatically moving from Node A to Node B and I got the error u201Capplication server shut downu201D. We donu2019t have additional application server in the landscape.
Please suggest the solution.

B18.8 DB upgrade from Patch level 12 to 15 Patch level

Dear Experts,
When I am trying to Upgrade database 8.8 PL 12 to SAP 8.8 PL 15 following are error.
I had completed the Downloading process of 8.8 patch level of 15.

We are upgrading to Patch 47 from PL 30. When I try and login to one of our databases, I get the error messages
1. This entry already exists in the following table - Company Info (CINF)
2. Then I get another message stating - The company DB is not consistent see log files.
Please can anyone assist? What can cause these errors?

You are right - the Choose from list is only available from SBO 2005.

E71 lost calendar notes after upgrade

First I made a full backup with nokia pcsuite and to memory card,and then I upgraded my E71. When I tried to restore I saw that all my date of calendar was lost.
Even with the restore of memory card it was impossible to recover calendar events.
I also have the problem that after upgraded it wasn't possible to see the firmware version with *#0000#.
Only when I switched off and removed the battery it was resolved that problem.
Any suggestions to the first issue?

I have exactly the same problem, on my iphone 3G is now a 'calendar' which is empty. I did not create this calendar it just appear but all the other calendars which I have in my iphone and iCal (iMac Intel) dissapeared, vanished!!
I have tried
disconnect iphone from iMac,reset iSync history on my iMac,
restart iMac, backup all my calendars on my iCal,
delete all calendars on iCal , import back into iCal from backups,
launch itunes, synchronized iPhone ( for calendar on iMac iCal to replace calendar in iPhone)
Nothing, the same , nothing came over from iCal.
Where is the solution ? hopefully that Apple would have more time to look into this iCal iPhone calendar issue, now that they have come clean on the Antenna issue. Apple really do not need another problem Calendargate.
Hope Apple resolve this by this week, I have been spending sleepless hours late in the night, trying everything. Somehow, I think this is a problem with iOS4.0, 4.01

Error with a copy function after upgrading to patch 18 on the server

Hi experts,
I had the following error when I try to execute with trace in RSPLAN a copy function that was right and functioning over a workbook before upgrading to patch 18 in the server:
'Char. value of 0COSTELMNT does not correspond to value of block char. 623004'
The functions seems to be right also when I check the values but the error message is still there and over the workbook Copy function button.

Technically, Oracle supports Oracle XE through that forum. At least that was the policy as I knew it a while ago.
With installation issues for XE and the like it's probably better to just post it there. Obviously a grey area and you may well get a hit or two here, but I think you should post these kinds of questions on the XE forum.
When it comes to Apex development questions you can definitely post them here. I know, I know, it really is a pain! But you want to post where you have the best chance of getting good help.
