List of PCI Compliant devices?

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a list of PCI compliant devices available? I've tried searching the internet and even calling Cisco to ask directly but for some reason it's very hard to get clear answers on my questions. The only answer I got was a product that cost nearly $2,000. The cost of this item for over 20 locations is astronomical. We are currently using the RV042 but failed our PCI Trustwave scan due to the SSL key being too weak.
Is there anyone here that could help me compile a list of small business routers that can help our business pass our PCI scan?

You're correct that the RV042 router's implementation of SSL is weak.
Stepping back, why do you need an SSL key on your router? Assuming there's a good reason that can't be met via other techniques, can you implement a compensating control (such as an ACL) to mitigate the risk and thus meet that compliance requirements?
If not, then you would need to move the function to a more secure device - the new ASA 5506 might be one such candidate. Your local Cisco partner should be able to help you with product selection based on a more in-depth analysis of your environment and requirements

Can I use SCC-DI01 modules with a PCI-6533 device?

I am looking into performing buffered acquisition of various digital signals using a PCI-6533 device. Can I use SCC-DI01 modules with this device? If so, would this be via the SC-2345 Carrier? The manual seemed to suggest is was only compatible with E-series devices?
Basically, I want to monitor 32 digital channels and will have a mixture of 5V and 24V signals.

Could you please clarify where the manual suggests that the module is only compatible with an E series board (is it because only an E series board is referenced in the manual)?
I can't find any information stating which devices are/aren't supported by the SCC-DI01, but I will continue to investigate and keep you posted with my progress.

Error on calling niScope_fetchComplex function with simulated Ni PCI-5105 device

On calling the niScope_fetchComplex function, I get the following error message:
"The requested fetch data type does not match the acquisition data type."
I was able to successfully execute the niScope_fetch function. I have attached the C-code I used to this post (Visual Studio 2012 project). I am using a simulated NI PCI-5105 device on NI-MAX.
Any information on why this error is generated and how to resolve the error would be helpful. Thank you for your help.

You can check out the example "niScope EX OSP Baseband Decimation.vi" to see how the fetch complex is used. For your particular error, you need to set the acqusition mode to "Complex", which is by default "Real".
This can be done using the niScope Property Node "Data Processing Mode", or since you are using the C API, you need to configure the Attribute "NISCOPE_ATTR_DDC_DATA_PROCESSING_MODE".

It won't work with airplay, here is how I got it to work with OSX 10.9.4 fully patched;
you will need to use the serial cable to start the process:
In-brief Version:
0) Go grab the firmware update tool, the driver, and the scanner software
1) Turn off the firewall and antivirus (if you use it ??)
2) Update the firmware using the serial line
3) Reserve a static IP outside the DHCP range (using the MAC address of the printer) on your WAP server
4) Configure the printer to use a static IP through the front panel
5) Configure the printer WIFI with your SSID and net key through the front panel
6) Install the CUPS driver on your computer through the printer settings by specifying the static IP
7) Install the Scanner driver then go into the Control Center and add you computer and printer configuration
I generally use this kind of set up so that the printer comes back at the same place after a power failure in
the event that it has a crappy driver.
For those of you who need a little more help:
0) Turn off anti-virus and firewall software (it did seem to matter)
1) Go to the Brother Center and download 1) The firmware update tool, 2) the driver, 3) the scanner software
2) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; find the MAC address and write it down
3) Plug the printer in using the serial cable, it will auto detect and you will be able to talk to it.
4) Install the firmware update tool by double clicking on the dmg you downloaded
5) Update the firmware and the subfirmware (NOTE: this is a bit finicky -- you may have to unplug and replug it in a couple of times before it starts to talk with the device, after it starts the update process it frequently gives up in the middle, DO NOT unplug the device at this point, just select "retry" from the dialog and it will continue -- it will take about 15 mins or so.
6) Once the firmware is installed, go to your WAP server and look at the DHCP IP range; typically something like 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200
7) If there is a capability to reserve an IP on your WAP server pick an IP outside the range in 6 (e.g. 10.0.1.201) and use the MAC address (from step 2) for the reservation... its fine if you don't reserve it -- this is an extra precaution -- just make sure you pick an IP outside the DHCP range
8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; then set the IP address:
     boot method: static
     IP address: the address you chose in 7)
     mask: 255.255.255.0
     gateway: the IP of your router -- typically 10.0.1.1
8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> wireless -> setup wizard -> let it find your network, select it, and enter your key.
9) Reboot the printer and check it connects to your wireless network
10) Go to the front panel on the printer, tools -> all settings -> print reports -> network configuration ; print the report and check the IP and MAC
are what you think they should be.
11) Go to your computer, bring up a terminal (applications->utilities->terminal)
12) Ping your printer to make sure its up and accessible -- type: "ping 10.0.1.201" (or whatever IP you used in step 7) and check you get a response -- not a timeout -- if it works disconnect the serial line and delete the (serial line) printer from the list of printers -- you won't need it anymore -- if not you screwed up somewhere along the line
13) Now the printer is on the wireless network, install the driver by double clicking the dmg. Then go to system preferences->printers & scanners
     click +
     in the add menu click IP
     enter your IP (from step 7)
     make sure the Protocol is IPP
     Name the printer and set its location
     Go to Use field, in the pull down menu select "Select Software"
     Go through the list and find the Brother MFC-9340CDW CUPS driver -- if its not there you screwed up installing it so go do it again.
14) Go back to the printer page -- select the printer, select Open Print Queue, then select Settings -- check the Driver Version is 4.1.0 -- if
it says 2 you are using the airplay version which seems to be buggered -- so you need to try again.
15) Go open a word document and print it -- smile you are nearly there
16) Install the scanner software by double clicking the dmg
17) Open the Control Center, under the Model: select Other
     Click +
     Select your printer
     Enter your computer name in the display name and click ok
18) Go into adobe Acrobat File->Create->PDF from Scanner (or whatever software you are scanning with)
19) Select "Brother TWAIN" from the scanner list -- if its not there you screwed up the scanner software installation -- go do it again
20) Put a document in the top of the printer and press scan -- wammo !
21) Turn back on your firewall (and antivirus if you have it -- why I can't imagine but what the ****)
22) Go ping the printer and make sure its still reachable (see step 12) -- if not you need to figure out what your antivirus is screwing up because the firewall is no problem
23) try printing and scanning again...
24) rejoice... your done.

Missing driver, other pci bridge device,compaq presario

model SR5030NX. OS=Vista Home Basic.mising driver for other pci bridge device.
When I bootup error message comes up,I tried to find driver by having look for it to no avail.I'm not sure what the pci bridge device is,(would it be whatever is in the pci slot?)I haven't opened up the case yet.I did find out in device manager under other pci bridge device properties in the general tab ;

Just what was going on when this error message started showing up? Usually this type of error happens after a OS reload or when new hardware is added. If neither of these things were done, then probably a hardware failure. There is a modem installed according to the spec page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00874655&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=337...
If that is not being used, then try removing it. Maybe just lucky enough that is the problem. Most other items are integrated on the motherboard

Command or Query to list all connected DAQ devices

Hi,
I am looking for a simple query or function in labview to scan for connected DAQ devices and list them.
Example: With VISA drivers, there is a function "find resources" when passed appropriate query string will return with the list of Ports (or devices connected).
Is there any similar command that can be used for connected DAQ devices? I can look in MAX and see all devices connected under "NI-DAQmx Devices". However, my aim is to get that list in Labview via a query or function.

I think that is correct, even though it sounds strange (sometimes USB is seen as COM3). But if you are not sure about the status of the AGP, use a program like WCPUID . Sometimes, under Win98 the AGP is not enabled unless you install first the drivers for the motherboard.

Are RTMPE and RTMPS both PCI Compliant?

Need to know to be compliant to the Payment Cards Industry security standard.

The short answer is no - not by itself, because PCI means many many things beyond simply a network protocol. You can use RTMPS in lieu of OpenSSL to build a system that is PCI compliant in eventuality, but that must be verified by a PCI audit. RTMPE cannot be used in this way.

I am a Franchisee for a pizza chain and they are stating the routers will not be compliant with the new credit card PCI standards.

Any router can be PCI complaint as long you follow the PCI guide to harden the router and apply the correct filters.For example; one of the PCI requirement is to disable telnet access to the router and only use SSH. So, this can easily be accomplished if you have the right IOS with security installed.

How to reset a disabled device in iTunes if it isn't listed as an authorized device?

Circularly crazy making! I can't enable the device using iTunes because it's not listed as an authorized device and I can't add the device through the device settings because the device is disabled.

Follow the instructions on this page : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled.
(Only computer's iTunes are authorised to an account, and whether or not an iOS device shows in the 'manage devices' section won't help you re-enable it.)

No Twain-compliant device installed

Hi, I hope someone can please help. Yesterday I was using my multi-function Color Laser Jet CM1312nfi MFP printer to scan a couple of pages. The scan went through fine with no problem as have countless others before. No changes were made to the system and I am the only one who uses the computer and printer.About 45 minutes after the last scan I went to scan another page when I got this message: "No Twain-compliant device installed, please install one and try again". The scanner refused to work. I tried rebooting the computer and turning the printer on and off to no avail. I thought maybe there was a problem with the machine itself or a loose cable or connection but the machine still prints documents. I tried using the HP Print and Scan Doctor and that doesn't work. It guided me to several drivers. I downloaded and tried one called "CM1312series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v5.1". The installation won't fully go through and reverses itself. The same thing happens when I try reinstalling the original software I used to use the scanner a few years back. Can anyone help? Thank you

Thanks, I finally resolved the issue the following day after several frustrating hours. I would uninstall the driver software, disconnect the USB cable and restart the computer. After the restart, I would try one of the previously mentioned options. At a certain point, the installation process would ask me to reconnect the USB cable and then click the "OK" or "Continue" button in the installion dialog box. However, I noticed that as soon as I connected the USB cable but before I could click the button, Windows would automatically start installing a driver. It would always do the same thing. It would install 6 or 7 components, 4 or 5 would successfully install regarding printing. A separate status dialog box would pop up showing these parts installed. A green check mark would appear next to the print functions. However, 2 components dealing with scanning would not successfully install. These components would get a red X next to them. Meanwhile, I would have clicked the "OK" or "Continue" button in the installion dialog box. After a few minutes, the installation would abort itself and I would end up having to uninstall the driver and reboot all over again. It finally dawned on me that 2 separate installations were going on at the same time. What finally resolved the problem was after uninstalling the driver and restarting yet again, I started the original installation application process but when I was prompted to connect the USB cable, I first disconnected the computer from the internet and then connected the USB cable. Before I could click the "Continue" button, I noticed the separate installation process was beginning again. I immediately clicked the X in that dialog box to stop that installation. I then clicked "Continue" on the desired installation dialog box and it finally successsfully installed. Once it installed, I reconnected the computer to the internet and the scanner now worked. Thank you for your advice anyway.

I have scoured the Apple and iTunes website and cannot find an answer to this question. Is Apple's iTunes platform PCI Compliant?

Apple is NOT PCI compliant. PCI compliance and the security of our credit card data requires that credit card information is NOT stored on ANY computer or system because it can be comprimised. How does Apple get away with storing credit card information online when PCI Compliance requires the opposite? Why does Apple take credit card security so lightly? Just wait for the "Apple credit card information leaked" news release - it's just a matter of time.
