Hello Experts,
when i see transaction db13 ,there is long list of things and options that can be checked through it, What does CheckDB , Next Extent and Update statistics options do and check there?
Also plz tell abt the various options that can be checked there including details in it.

Hi Somya,
DB13 is DB planning Calender to perform different types of DB activities.
Some jobs are to perform Database Backup and some jobs are database housekeeping jobs.
1. Check and update optimizer statistics
Checks and, if necessary, updates either all tables or tables of the specified tablespaces
2. Adapt next extents
Adapts the values for the NEXTEXTENT of all tables or tables of the specified tablespace
3. Check database
Checks the database system
4. Verify database
Verifies the database
5. Cleanup logs
Cleans up the database logs

What version box do i have (can't check menu) DiT7...
Upgrading to infinity and extra channels, new vision+ box has arrived (for engineer to install on Tuesday).
How do I know that I have the right box to receive extra channels? (Told that my current box [original black] is not suitable ).
The reasons I want to check is because I am concerned as;
1, On my order tracking it said refurbished box (not told this when ordered on phone, don't mind as long as it is the right one)
2, I've seen posts on here when people are still getting the old box.
3, The advisor (care team UK not sales) said she had to put the extra channels on the day after installation - she is going to call me and the vision installation does show on my order (it is also mentioned on 2 emails from said advisor), just a little bit worried as channels not on yet wrong one may have been sent.
I can't check through the menu but on the back it says DiT7831/05_2B, is that the newest one ? And does it have the larger HDD?

Yes, you should be fine. I believe that is the newest model. I got sent the same model when I upgraded to multicast channels in May.
... and yes, I believe it has the 500GB hard-disk.
Once set up you need to check Help & Settings > Settings > System Information > Middleware Version
It needs to have the word 'multicast' in it in order to get the extra channels. If it doesn't then BT will need to send your box a software update.
This is the version of middleware my DiT7831_05_2B box is running.

I have a new macbook pro and just made a video on imovie and it asked me to put it on idvd but there is no idvd listed as an option. How can i get idvd. it doesn't seem available
Since Apple has stopped supporting and offering iDVD you'll need to purchase the iLIfe 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 which will include iDVD 7.

How do I transfer my checked songs from one computer to another - tried exporting library playlist etc but no luck! Please help! I have 26,000 songs - 17,000 are selected and I can't run down the list on my new computer and re-check 17,000 songs! Thanks!
Make a smart playlist of your whole library but only checked songs - #4 on http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1801
Highlight all files in that playlist, then drag to the other drive. This isn't preserving any playlists or whatever, just copying files from one drive to another.
You might want to delete the smart playlist this once you are done because it will probably gobble up resources with that many files. -

I'm trying to connect my ipad2 to my phones wifi hotspot. my phone says hotspot is activated and it shows up as an option on my ipad but when i hit that on the ipad it shows a page with a list of things like ip address, domain, url. what do i do now?

When I download PDFs on my macbook I am given the option of saving them to iCloud and in Preview they are listed under iCloud. How can I then view them on my iOS devices? Help please.

You can't share preview files to an iOS device. There are several other options for pdf's such as Adobe Reader or iBooks. -
Trying to change reset my Apple ID as I can't remember it, however it is sending an email which says invalid link or a list with the option to change password which can't be clicked on? Can anybody please help? Going around in circles! Grrrrrrrrrrr
Is this your machine or the company's? Machines that came with Snow Leopard or earlier installed come with system and software install disks that can be used to reisntall the iApps that came with the machine orignally.
If this is your machine and it came with Snow Leopard or earlier installed the disk will look slimialr to one of these:
If it is the company's machine see if they have the disks.
Do a custom install and then use Software Update to update iPhoto to the highest version that is available. -
Can we check the Objects modifiable " option for standard objects

In IR , we have imported SRM SERVER->SRM SERVER5.5
Then we have checked the option<u><b> "Objects are modifiable"</b></u> then we imported the IDOC from R/3 system under SRM SERVER 5.5 swcv.
Then created the mapping.It is working fime.
how ever i am not sure whether it is right process.Can we check the "Objects are modifiable" for standard compoents delivered by SAP????

No. As best practise you are not supposed to do so.</i>
In order to implement any changes in the mapping we can do it rite.
Because recently i have applied one SAP note to my SRM swcv and one of the MM object was changed according to the requirements.

If the User has opend session.FindById("wnd[0]/usr/cntlCC_REP_****/shellcont/shell/shellcont[1]/shell") - This is the wrong list.
and the User has marked lines in the wrong list there is an error in this Code

This solution describes how to check the existence of an object. On the one hand you can avoid the error message "control can not be found" and on the other hand you can check the using of the correct control.

Was my T61 shipped without Bluetooth? How can I check?
Recently I bought a T61 with Windows Vista Ultimate.
When I ordered it, I selected bluetooth capability and the integrated bluetooth pan (or whatever was there to click).
I am totally new to that whole bluetooth thing, so I wanted to try out whether I can connect my bluetooth enabled cell phone with my Laptop. So I activated bluetooth on the phone and made it visible to other devices, but when my T61 searched for devices, it couldn't find anything.
So there is a lot of settings, I thought maybe I did something wrong, but everything seems correct. But then I thought, maybe both devices have to be visible. So I wanted to set my T61 to "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" in Start -> Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices -> Options.
But to my surprise when I click 'Apply' or 'OK', I get this error message:
Bluetooth Service Error
An error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The
Bluetooth device might be unplugged.
The following settings were not saved:
Discoverability settings
Connection settings
How can the device be "unplugged" in a Laptop???
Maybe it's not even built in.
I am not really familiar with what is necessary to have bluetooth capability. When I look at the shipping itemization though, it seems there are multiple items needed.
Among many other entries the following lines were in the shipping listing (email):

42X1482 SBB BLUETOOTH W/ ANTENNA
42X1483 SBB BLUETOOTH SCREW
42V8654 SBB CL.PLATE T61WLAN BLTOOTH
These are the entries that sound like bluetooth.
(btw. What's a bluetooth screw, what's so special about it and what do I need it for?)
So, my brandnew T61 ought to have bluetooth capability, right?
But, maybe they forgot to put one of the components in. After all the fan was broken at arrival, not the best omen, I'm afraid.
How can I check, if Bluetooth is actually in the laptop?
Hope somebody can help me,
I don't want to call Lenovo and have some repair guy come over just to tell me how it's turned on.

I believe your T61 does have bluetooth. Have you turned bluetooth on using Fn F5. If BT has not been turned on I get exactly the same message you are describing. BT is turned off as standard setting, when you turn it on for the first time it will automatically load the necessary drivers - and away you go.

Also, using if statements, how am I going to check if the user is actually permitted to see the film and in what class will I put it in?
Using a class to represent each of the major entities involved and an application class which controls object and user interaction.
Write a program which implements a cinema entry system, according to the following rules:
Anyone can go to see a U rated film.
Only those aged 12 or over, or accompanied by an adult can go to see a PG rated film.
Only those aged 12 or over can go to see a 12s rated film.
Only those aged 15 or over can go to see a 15s rated film.
Only those aged 18 or over can go to see an 18s rated film.
Your program should present the user with the following list of film options:
(a) Blair Witch Project, 18s
(b) American Pie, 15s
(c) Lord of the Rings, 12s
(d) It?s a Wonderful Life, PG

Why would you declare and initialise the ratings in the
movie class if your using them in the viewer class.First, a little clarification: those ratings are static final variables. This means that, no matter how many instances of Movie you make, there is only one set of those ratings. If you've ever used enumerations in C++, it's a way of simulating those. In effect, it makes the logic easier and more efficient. Basically, NEVER refer to a rating by it's int value (don't use "1" instead of "RATED_U"). Anytime you want to refer to the rating 15s, always use Movie.RATED_18S.
Why did I put them in the Movie class? Because the rating is a property of a Movie, not a Viewer. Thus, the rating should be kept in the Movie class.
Basically, look at my suggestions as a lesson in some principles of Object Oriented design. You don't want to make the rating a String, because of the following case:
Using this as the variable declaration for the ratings:

//etc...What if someone tried to assign "R" as the rating for a movie? They would be able to, because there are no control structures on what a String can be. If you use static final variables, however, they're given a set list of values they can assign as a rating.
This methodology is used commonly in the Java APIs (for example, MimeMessage.RecipientType.TO). It's a good practice, and in this program, it would simplify the logic greatly.
Secondly, I don't understand this if(this.getAge()
= 12 || this.isWithAdult()), what is gt?
"this" refers to the current instance of the class. It's not actually necessary in this context. You could just as easily replace those lines with if(getAge() >=12 || isWithAdult())

How can I check for references to previous server and remove them?
I recently migrated several Win7 PC's off an old sbs2003 box to a new 2012 essentials server.
All client data is stored on the server in a shared folder and that is mapped to the local PC's.
Everything has been great, except we have noticed a delay of 10-15 seconds the first time on one PC, the user opens up Word or Excel and clicks on File (to check recent documents) - it goes to "not responding" for 10-15 seconds and then is perfectly
normal.
Once the program responds again (and the recent documents appear), there is no longer any delay in opening any of the documents at all.
If the user goes off and browses the internet for a while and comes back, re-opens Word or Excel again, the same thing happens.
I've checked what I hope is most stuff, and think I've come down to references on the PC to the old server still.
Is there a list of registry entries/groups that I should be checking, and are there other places aside of the registry that I should be checking also, so I can be sure that only the new server is referenced?

Generally speaking, application hungs means its process isn't waiting for Windowsing input. Is other application have similar problem?
To troubleshoot this problem, firstly, I would like to suggest you using Process Explorer to check Word or Excel's stack. Then check what does its thread waiting for.

If no use, you can use Process Monitor to monitor the starting process of Word or Excel, then we should be able to find which resource cause hung.

Note: When using Process Monitor to caputer app's trace. Firstly, please set its filter Process Name is Word.exe.
After that, start work to start monitoring.

When printing a list in Address Book, how can I select more than the default Attributes and keep them selected when I print again? I want to print ALL information for contacts so I have email address, notes, phone, company, title, etc all on one page. I don't want to have to check off an additional 5 or 6 attributes each time I print out contact information. Is there a way to change the default setting for printing lists, so it is not just "phone," "photo," and "job title?"
I have a user who wants to do this same thing. I did not find any way either to default the attributes to anything other than what you see the first time. Seems like such a trivial thing, hard to believe they do not allow it. I did find a program for this called iDress but I can't seem to download it from any links on the Internet. Not sure if it is free or not, but it was recommended by a link on the Mac support site.
