List's bullet points displyaing beyond table cell

Just need a little workaround / fix for a styled list -
basically in Firefox, the bullet points are displaying to the left,
beyond the table cell they're in :
link
Any ideas to fix this?
Cheers.

Set the margin and the padding for the ul to zero.

  • Animating a list of bullet points in Captivate 6 -- How?

    Hello,
    I have a list of 8 bulleted items in a single text caption on several of my slides.  I would like each of the points to appear one at time and sync them with the Neo Voice that will be presenting each of those points.  Is there a way to animate each of these points (no crazy animation -- just simply appear) without making each of them a separate text captions?  My biggest problem with making them each a separate caption is lining them up perfectly so that they are directly underneath each other and have the same amount of spacing between them....
    Thanks for any help!!
    Ryan

    No way to do that with one text caption.
    But about lining up and distributing the text captions: are they all 'oneliners'?
    In that case: create the first text caption and put it in the wanted location. Then follow this routine to create the second one:
    duplicate the first text caption with CTRL-D
    use the sequence SHIFT-LEFT and SHIFT-UP: now the two captions are exactly in the same location
    use shortcut key SHIFT-DOWN to move the second caption down until you have the wanted place, and try to remember the number of times you used the shortcut
    If you repeat this for each following caption they will all be aligned perfectly and distributed.
    If they are not all oneliners, then choose the biggest text caption (in height), co-select all the others and:
    use the right-click menu to resize them all to the same size (Align, Resize to same size) or if you are a click-click user open Window, Align, all buttons you need are there
    use the Align toolbar (Window menu)  or the right click menu to align them left
    put the bottom one as low as possible, and use menu or toolbar to distribute them vertically

  • Setting/Getting an Insertion Point in a Table Cell

    I'm iterating through the cells in a table doing a series of  ITableCommands::SetCellText() calls. This correctly writes to the cells, but I also need to set the insertion point to the first character of the cell somehow. I've got the GridAddress -- is there any way to get the selection from that? (I was able to select the entire cell, but I want to get the text selection from it. Does anybody know how? Thanks.

    I have got the TextIndex of the cell using ITextStoryThread::GetTextStart.

  • Unordered list not showing up as indented bullet points within Accordian

    http://www.foundationforyoutharts.org/test/Programs.html
    I have a page using the spry accordian, and about five different catagories of information. Some of the copy is in unordered lists (in martial arts catagories), but it shows up as as regular text. Any ideas on how to make it view as a typical unordered list with bullet points and indented?
    Thanks for taking time to look at this.

    Add a margin-left of 20px to your ul.
    Either added it in your stylesheet. or directly on the element:
    <ul style="margin-left:20px">

  • Bullet point lists  -- with spaces beetween each bullet?

    Hi everyone,
    I was wondering if anyone knew how to set it so that I can make a list of bullet points and have it automatically double space between each bullet point but leaving the text within each point as single spaced.
    I hope this makes sense?
    As far as I can tell, it only allows me to set double spacing for the entire document, not just for each bullet point.
    Would be very grateful if someone could help me tweak this.

    Select your list and then in the Text Inspector, Text tab, increase the "After Paragraph" spacing.

  • Need some hand-holding and bullet point direction

    ok, i need some help. We shoot our church services on Sony PDW-700 HD XDCAMS. We shoot in 420 HQ (whatever that is). Once we finish shooting the service, we pull the source video off of the XDCAM disk using the Sony XDCAM transfer utility. I believe we end up with a .mls file. We then edit the source and send it to compressor and then to DVD studio pro and it gets burned to a standard DVD. What we end up with is a video with artifacts in it. What I mean by artifacts is wavy lines around the edges of movement.
    What I need to know, from step 1 to step whatever, is HOW to get the source from FCP to DVD w/out artifacts. It seems that we should be able to produce a DVD that looks better than ours and w/out the wavy lines around the edges of moving objects.
    What I'm looking for is something like this:
    When we open FCP, are there any preferences we need to have set before we import our source or will FCP adjust our project settings to match our source?
    When done editing, do we need to do anything special when we send it to compressor?
    Once in DVDSP, what do we need to be doing to make sure it comes out looking it's best.
    I realize I am asking a lot here, but we're not novices. We understand things like the format of our media, etc. We're looking for a list or bullet point process to get from Media to DVD and have it look it's best.
    Thank you
    Cliff

    If you have any doubts regarding the format you shot,
    look in the Browser, control-click the media file, and select Item Properties > Format.
    That will tell you exactly what FCP thinks you're using.
    Note that if Field Dominance is None, your clip is progressive.
    In the future, you should ask your camera crew to shoot progressive.

    You may want to simplify the workflow by setting your sequence up first.
    Before you create any sequences, choose menu item > Easy Setup,
    and choose one of the XDCAM presets.
    • Chose Sony XDCAM HD
    • Choose HDCAM HD 1080i60 VBR
    • Choose framerate 20.97
    Once you do this, all new sequences will have that format.
    If you've set your sequence up correctly, dragging a clip to the sequence will not produce this:
    For best performance, your sequence and external video should be set to the format
    of the clips you are editing. Change sequence settings to match clip settings?
    If you click yes, you are not transcoding. You are setting the sequence format to be the same
    as what you shot.
    The bottom line is that when you set the sequence to match the footage,
    you should be able to play the footage without rendering. Of course,
    once you start editing and adding transitions, rendering may become
    necessary. Check out the note on rendering to ProRes 422 in this article:
    http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/ex1_sd_outputyoung.html
    Although he's talking about going from XDCAM EX to a PAL DVD,
    most of the principles apply. In particular:
    • Set Rendering preferences to ProRes 422, i.e.
    Sequence Settings > Render Control > Render > Codec
    • Do your HD edit.
    • When it's time to convert to SD (step 2 in the article) create a new sequence
    with the settings NTSC Anamorphic. This will preserve the nice wide-screen look
    of the original footage even when played on an SD DVD.
    • Step 4 of the article: choose NTSC anamorphic.
    If your footage was shot interlaced, choose field dominance lower (even).
    The compressor is NTSC, and the frame rate is 29.97.
    In the advanced compression settings, note that it should be 16:9,
    and Progressive if you're shooting or converting to progressive.
    Check out the last section of this article:
    http://www.lafcpug.org/features/featurekeeping_thejob.html
    where field dominance is discussed in more detail.

  • Populating drop down list in a table cell-urgent

    Hi all
    I have a problem. I want to populate a dropdown list in a table cell. can anybody tell me the step by step procedure for that.
    I am doing it generally. not using R/3
    I am creating sub node like u have mentioned. I haven't done it using wizard.
    Is there any difference in the way we populate this list?
    My root node is expense. Inside that some value attributes are there. For the drop down list i've created a sub node 'extype'.
    I am getting error.
    it is:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: Node(EREmpHomeView.expense.extype): cannot bind or add elements because the node has no valid parent
    Following is the code i've written.
    IPrivateEREmpHomeView.IExtypeElement el;
              IPrivateEREmpHomeView.IExtypeNode nd=wdContext.nodeExpense().nodeExtype();
              el=wdContext.nodeExpense().nodeExtype().createExtypeElement();
              el.setEtype("Travel");
              nd.addElement(el);
    Sill i'm getting the same error
    Hi Nidhideep
    Error has gone with the code that Mr Anil has given. But there is no value in the List. Dropdown list is coming as a blank list.

    hi
    Aparna try this code:
    1. Context description at design time:
    Value-Node "myNode", collection type=list, cardinality=0..n, selection=0..n
    and the attribute:
    Value attributes “myValue”, type="String".
    2. The corresponding Java source code example that you create in the wdDoInit method of the controller implementation:
    // The ISimpleTypeModifiable interface enables access to
    //a data type instance that can be modified at runtime:
    ISimpleTypeModifiable myType =
       wdThis.wdGetAPI().getContext.getModifiableTypeOf(“.myNode.myValue”);
    //Sets the label text for this data type.
    myType.setFieldLabel(“New label”)
    //Sets the valid values of this data type. The individual elements are inserted
    //when the put method is called and
    //and the value set is filled with the appropriate
    //key value pair.
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet values =
       getSVService().myType.getModifiableValueSet();

  • Bullet point list starting in a line also containing non-bulleted text

    Hi there!
    I have a line of text in iWork Pages separated by a tab, like this:
    Executive Summary: (TAB) This is the first bullet point
    I want the first part of the text ("Exec Summary:") to stay without bullets, but the right part of the text ("This is the first bullet point") to be shown as a bullet point (this list should then be continued in the following lines).
    Any time I highlight the right part of the text and click on "List", the bullet appears in front of the left part, not in front of the right. Any idea?
    Many thanks!

    If you are trying to mix the points within an indented, paragraph you can add a tab to catch the first internal bullet and type option * to get the bullet "•" then another tab to start the indented text.
    To continue with the normal auto bullets after that, make an indented bulleted list with the indent aligning with the tab in the first paragraph.
    All this formatting works off 3 things:
    1. First line indent which in this case is hard left
    2. A tab mid way between the hard left start and
    3. The overall paragraph indent which is further right.
    Exec Summary      •     First Point
                                 •     Second point etc
    Hope this looks right in this post which does not follow normal Word Processing formatting

  • Can a Table Cell span more than one page?

    I'm working with tables in Pages to create a list of literature and important takeaways from each article. Sometimes the important information is more than I can fit on one page. However, Pages doesn't seem to be able to handle splitting cells across multiple pages. Instead, it seems to "push" the overflow text beyond the page, so I can't even see it as I'm typing.
    In Word, such situations just cause the table cell to continue on to the next page. But I can't figure out how to do that in Pages. (And I'm a little concerned that there's not a way to handle this.)
    Thanks!
    Gary

    The cell in question does split across 2 pages. "Do I need to" do that isn't really the point.
    My question was whether Pages can handle splitting a table cell across 2 pages.
    Pages can't; Word can.
    (I'm trying to switch over for all of my future work into Pages, so there's a learning curve for me. The type of work I'm doing does have cells that split over 2 pages. In Word, it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, in Pages, I need to split the row in order to do the same thing. Which is kind of a pain, since I'm building the table dynamically and may insert rows above, below or between existing rows. In Word, it automatically handles moving the cells across multiple pages - or merging them back if I edit the text or insert/remove rows above.)

    <p><strong>What is BioprimeTM  &ndash; and why do you need it?</strong><br />
    BioprimeTM   is a simple, inexpensive soil conditioner which allows farmers to change  the nature of soil biology. It is a way to weed out the bad bugs and give the  good bugs a boost. The outcome is better soil health, better plant production  and better root disease management.<br />
    <br><strong>BioprimeTM</strong></p>
    <ul>
      <li>is made in Perth. </li>
      <li>is backed by trial data from work done in WA.</li>
      <li>does not cost a fortune (per liter and per  hectare it is probably the cheapest input you will use this season).</li>
      <li>does not require a leap of faith to use, nor any rocket science to understand what  it is and why it works.</li>
    </ul>
    <p>BioprimeTM was originally developed about 15  years ago for vegetable producers as a way to control root disease. In those  days you couldn&rsquo;t actually prove what was going on, but growers kept buying it  because it did what it was intended to do &ndash; it stopped root disease.<br />
      In the last 10 years there have been many advances in  understanding what microbes are in soil, and what they are doing. This has  largely come about because of the so-called DNA revolution. By using this DNA  technology, we can now see exactly what changes occur in soil microbiology when  BioprimeTM is applied. <br />
    <br> <strong>How is it made ?</strong> <strong></strong><br />
      BioprimeTM  is made by fermentation of molasses using  baker&rsquo;s yeast. This sounds really simple, but there are a number of factors involved  to make it work. <br />
      The amount of oxygen in the fermentation determines how much  alcohol, acid or CO2 is made from the sugar in molasses.  BioprimeTM is made with the amount  of air carefully controlled in order to make a maximum amount of both alcohols  and acids. These then condense to form esters.   BioprimeTM is full of esters.<br />
      With BioprimeTM we want lots of yeast, so  nutrients are added to make the yeast grow quickly. At the end of the process  we have a lot of biomass, because just like in Vegemite, yeast biomass contains  a lot of protein and vitamins.<br />
      The fermentation which makes BioprimeTM doesn&rsquo;t  stop completely, it slows down as it becomes pickled in its own acids. We then  arrest the process by bursting the yeast cells, making a stable, long-life  product. <br />
    <br><strong>How does it work ?</strong><br />
      Looking at soil microbiology using DNA shows it is very  complex. There are tens of thousands of different species in each gram of soil.  There is no point in looking at any single species, for they all seem to come  and go with changing seasons and conditions.<br />
      Instead we look at the major groups and the diversity within  each group. We look at 5 major groups:</p>
    <ul>
      <li>Proteobacteria:   These are simple, fast growing bacteria (formerly called gram  negatives), can dominate anaerobic (no oxygen) environments, live off simple  organic matter &ndash; they generally don&rsquo;t do your soil much good.</li>
      <li>Fermicutes: More complex, also fast growing  (formerly called gram positives), some are important pathogens, can be  anaerobic or aerobic, also don&rsquo;t do soil much good.</li>
      <li>Archea: These are tough and ancient life forms,  slow growing, but live in extreme environments (hot, salty, acidic etc). Their importance  in soil was only realised with DNA methods. They build up to significant  numbers in cultivated soil.</li>
      <li>Actinobacteria: These are quite complex bacteria  which are involved in soil carbon dynamics. They are slow growing but feisty,  as they are the chemical warfare specialists in soil. (Most of the antibiotics  and drugs we use come from this group). When there are plenty present, root pathogens  are suppressed.</li>
      <li>Fungi: These are more complex than bacteria, and  fall into two groups, the lower fungi are mainly moulds, and the higher fungi,  the Dikarya are the mushrooms and the mycorrhyza.</li>
    </ul>
    <p>The more diverse a soil&rsquo;s microbial population, the  healthier it is. All the above five groups should be present, but because the  Actinobacteria and Fungi are beneficial to plant growth, high diversity in  these groups is particularly important.<br />
      When BioprimeTM is added to soil, the  Actinobacteria and Dikarya get a boost because they get a dose of vitamins. The  proteobacteria get suppressed, firstly because the way they communicate with  each other, a process called quorum sensing, is interrupted. Secondly, they can&rsquo;t  grow s easily on the complex esters, but higher bacteria and fungi can.<br />
      When we look at the way group diversity changes, we see short  term and longer term impacts. In the short term, anaerobic bacteria are quickly  suppressed. Then we see Dikarya and Actinobacteria start to build up numbers.<br />
      These changes mean the best time to use BioprimeTM is  when you sow your crop, then again once it is established &ndash; at the two to four  leaf stage. <br />
      In moist soil, grains take a few days to imbibe water and  start to germinate. During this time, the presence of proteobacteria can be  harmful, as they can feed on the exudates produced by a germinating seed and  make a local anaerobic zone in wet soil, slowing down emergence. On the other  hand, you want Dikarya active, for within this group are the mycorrhyzal fungi  which colonize roots and help plant phosphorous uptake.  There is plenty of competition in soil, so the  quicker they can colonise the root, the more likely they will persist.<br />
      There are a number of important pathogenic organisms which  lurk in soil, and they often go unnoticed until stress hits the plant. An  important control against pathogens is the Actinobacteria which feed on the  pathogens. They also antagonise the simple bacteria which mineralise nitrogen.<br />
      So BioprimeTM does quite a lot of things, all of  which are good for the ability of soil to support healthy plant growth.<br />
    <br><strong>How much to use ?</strong><br />
      The optimal application rate depends on two important  factors, pH and soil organic matter.<br />
      BioprimeTM works best at a soil pH of 7 &ndash; and this  is the point of optimal plant nutrient availability. We always advise to lime  soil to get it to pH 7 &ndash; because we now we realise this is also the point of  maximum microbial diversity. <br />
      At a pH of 7, you only need to apply 3 liters per hectare at  each application to get a maximal response. If the pH is lower, you get a  better response by applying more &ndash; 5 liters per hectare at pH 4.5 &ndash; 5.5, and 4  liters per hectare at pH 5.5 &ndash; 6.5.<br />
      The amount of organic matter in soil also influences the  best application rate, but in a complex way. At low soil organic matter (under  0.5% organic carbon), a low rate works well (but adjusted for pH). If your soil  carbon is between 0.5 &ndash; 1.5%, it takes a bit more for maximal impact because  there is more background microbes living off that carbon, so you apply about  50% more. But if your soil carbon is very good (say 1.5 &ndash; 2.5%), you can drop the  rate back again. If organic carbon is above 2.5% - you are blessed, and you  soil is likely to already be very healthy and it is unlikely BioprimeTM  will give you a further benefit. The following  table summarises the best application rate.</p>
    <p align="center">
    <table border="4" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" width="50%">

    <p><strong>How to apply BioprimeTM </strong><br />
      If you have a liquid system on your drill rig, it is best to  apply BioprimeTM as a spray into the drill row after the press  wheel. Simply dilute the volume you need in sufficient water to get even  spread.<br />
      Application with a boom spray just before seeding is an  acceptable alternative. Again, simply dilute BioprimeTM with water  to get even spread.<br />
      Once your crop is up and established, the second application  can be with a boom spray. BioprimeTM is acidic and completely water  soluble, so it is compatible with most chemicals (but check first with a jar  test).<br />
    <br><strong>Bad Start ?</strong><br />
      Sometimes the seasons are unkind &ndash; sow dry and no rain  comes, or too much rain comes and paddocks waterlog.  BioprimeTM opens an opportunity  window for about 3 weeks. If you dry sow and it hasn&rsquo;t rained in the first  three weeks, it is probably worth another application once it rains. Likewise  if things get too wet and the crop starts to get stressed and yellow, another  application of BioprimeTM will help it get back on its feet.<br />
    <br><strong>Seeing BioprimeTM  at work</strong><br />
      We always encourage you to sow a bit of your crop without  BioprimeTM so you can see it at work. You should see earlier  emergence, and once the crop is established, compare the root structure between  treated and untreated areas. If you believe root structure is important, you  will be impressed.<br />
      If you want to get into detail, Bioscience provides an assay  of soil microbial diversity which is a world first. Send us a 50 g sample of  soil (sampled properly from the top 150 mm, and put into a refrigerator and  send it to us on ice). We extract the DNA, then measure how many types of  microbes are present in significant numbers in each of the 5 major groups. From  this we can derive a biodiversity index and a health index. If you are  interested in soil biology and soil health, this leading-edge assay can show  you how your soil changes from year to year, guiding you with information on  what treatments work and what doesn&rsquo;t.<br />
    <br><strong>Is there anything  else like BioprimeTM ?</strong><br />
      There are a number of products which come and go which make  claims about improving soil health. They never come with a technical  description of what they are, and they never come with field trial data.  Usually there are lots of testimonials from someone in Utah or New Delhi, and  there are pictures of a guy holding big onions in one hand and small onions in  the other.<br />
      We take notice when farmers start talking positively about  getting a good response from a product, so we go out and buy some and pull it  apart in our lab.  There are only two we  have found which are somewhat similar. TM21, made by Best in Canada is  fermented molasses, but it is lot thinner, and poorly stabilised &ndash; smells a bit  putrid compared to BioprimeTM .  Vitazyme is  made in the USA, but it is fermented corn syrup rather than molasses, but for  some odd reason they add vitamin D to it (even though there is no known  function for Vitamin D in anything other than higher vertebrates!<br />
      But the huge difference is the price. <br />
    <br><strong>What does</strong> <strong>BioprimeTM Cost and How Do I Get  It ?</strong><br />
      Getting BioprimeTM is easy. You buy it online  direct from the manufacturer. It is only sold in 1000L IBC&rsquo;s for $2 per liter (FOB). <br />
    If you have your own IBC&rsquo;s, drop them off and we will fill  them up. If you don&rsquo;t, you will have to pay $150 for a serviceable second hand  one.</p>

  • Carriage return in a WD table cell

    Hi,
    I have data in a table cell which I would like to present better by adding a carriage returns so that it appears on more than one line for example as bullet points.
    I can format it using HTML but can’t seem to be able to find out how to set encode to true for that cell.
    Has anyone come across this problem before, or even have a simpler solution.
    Cheers
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
    Check this Multiple Text lines in ONE row of a Table . On what SP level are you?
    Best regards, Maksim Rashchynski.

    Just switched from Entourage to Mail in anticipation syncing w/ a new iPhone. However, when composing emails I can't figure out how to create a bullet point list in the body of the message.
    Also, is there a way to configure your inbox to preview attachments (e.g. as in Entourage)?

    I put this together very rapidly:
