List view and datagrid

Hi friends,
I used list view or datagrid in .net ,
I dnt know how to implement in forms 6i.
In my module, I have to enter sales items ..it will come like this:(it will come from textbox to listview)
item_name qty price
x 1 23.00
y 2 34.00
z 1 23.00
finally i will store all the values in DB.
How to implement this....?
regards,
Selva.R

Hi Selva,
Could you please explain more clearly?
I assume you have a form with four textboxes. If you want that the entered values will be saved in the database, you simply 'commit' the data. This can be done e.g. by F10. You do not need any extra buttons or button-pressed-triggers for that. This is standard Forms functionality.
What do you mean with "Again i will enter some some values in the text box"? Do you want to overwrite the old data, or do you want to insert new records in the database. Again, both options are standard Forms functionality.
Maybe you should go through the standard Forms documentation?
Good luck,

  • What is the differenec between 'sap list viewer' and 'abap list viewer'

    hi
what is the differenec between 'sap list viewer' and 'abap list viewer'

    Hi,
There is no difference between them.SAP List Viewer (ALV) is the new name of the ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
The SAP List Viewer unifies and simplifies the use of lists in the R/3 System. A uniform user interface and list format is available for all lists. This prevents redundant functions.
The SAP List Viewer can be used to view both single-level lists and multilevel sequential lists.
Single-level lists contain any number of lines that have no hierarchical relationship to each other.
Multilevel sequential lists consist of any number of lines that have two hierarchical levels. Multilevel lists have header rows and item rows; the item rows are subordinate to the header rows. For each header row there can be any number of subordinate item rows.
You can view subtotals and totals rows in both single-level lists and multilevel sequential lists
From End User Point it is SAP LIST viewer , From Developer Point of View it is ALV .

  • Calendar list view and search go back only 1 year

I have a new iPhone 4S (IOS5).  Calendar List view shows entries only back to a year ago, yet Day, Month and Week views show all my entries going back to Oct 2008.  Perhaps related:  the monthly views in Reminders also go back just one year.  A friend with an iPhone 4 and upgraded to IOS5 doesn't have this problem (with her Calendar;  I don't know about her Reminders).
The problem also affects my global (Spotlight) searches as well, so I can't find entries earlier than Oct 2010.  Is there some setting I have that may be causing this?
I should say that this problem existed for me on my 3G phone that I just replaced with the 4GS.  But all the other Calendar problems I had with the old phone and IOS4 appear to be fixed.  Only the one described above remains.
One more thing:  My PC is Windows and I don't sync my Calendars with Outlook (or anything else, of course).  When I used to do that I would get duplicate entries and other problems.  (If I need to restore a lost Calendar entry, I'll use my iPhone backup, which runs every night when I sync my phone).
Is this a known Calendar problem still existing with IOS5?

FYI for those equally frustrated, I did place this in Feedback - not that it will result in an answer anytime soon. Why don't you do it too - get some momentum on this!

  • ICal, Touch, List view and Day view limitations

It seems a recent software update now imposes a limit of six items on my iPod Touch Calendar when using the Day view. I distinctly remember this not being the case very recently. In order to see more than six all-day listings I have to use List view, which I don't like as much. Can anybody verify this change and suggest a work-around? I've tried a reset but no luck. thanks...

    +1 to it's return.
Seems strange that it's been removed when, with the increased convergence of OS X and iOS, it's a view that available in the Calendar app in iOS.
Like others here, this was the most useful view for me and I'm disappointed it's not there, hope it comes back with the Yosemite .1 release.
    Unfortunately it hasn't .

  • Movies are in List view and not showing in Movies view

When I down load movies, they are appearing in the List view, but are not showing up in the Movies icon view.  How do I fix this?  I'm on iTunes 11.01.1

Right mouse click on a Movie and select Get Info
On the options Tab you probably have the value Home Video showing. Change it to Movie and the film will show up in the right place.
It seems that iTunes assigns it to Home Movies when you import it unless it is explicitly tagged as movie or TV show etc

  • Finder List View and White Border around photo image files (icon preview)

Hey everyone, just curious if anyone knows how to remove the stripes from list view in the finder window? I tried a method that worked for Leopard but no luck with Snow. And for photos, the icon previews have real thick white borders around them, can these be removed (or at least inverted)? They are so distracting when looking through hundreds of images...
    Thanks,
    Jason

I just found an app that will get rid of the white borders and preserve the original date in the photo's EXIF data. It is CocoThumbX and can be downloaded from http://www.stalkingwolf.net/software/cocothumbx/.

  • Videos list view and TV Shows titles

Two questions about the standard Videos app in iPad 2:
Is there any way to get a text-based list view or is the thumbnails view the only option?
Also, I uploaded some videos to the iPad via iTunes and then set them to the TV Show category (Get Info > Options > Media Kind), but then on the iPad their titles don't appear. If I set them back to Movies then their titles appear. Why the discrepancy, and is there anything I can do about it?

    Thanks for your answer.
I was transferring the videos manually to the iPad without adding them to the library first. So I did a sync; set only TV Shows to sync, but it wiped out all my videos, most of which were set to Movie, and all my books too. Thanks, Apple!
So then I added some videos to the library, set them to TV Show, and did a sync, and they got added to the TV Shows category on the pad, but still no title, even if I add it (Show, etc.) manually via iTunes. Looks like there's no way to get a title displayed for the thumbnails in the TV Shows category, although they do appear under thumbnails in the Movies and Music Videos categories. What's up with that?
And why can't I get a list view? Can anyone recommend a video player app that will let me get a list view, preferably with folders?

  • List View and Grid View discrepancy

After having read almost all of the thousands of iTunes 11 user comments all over the Web, the great majority of whom consider this "downgrade" a pain in the neck, I am surprized that nobody has yet mentionned this infuriating bug (or is it another of Apple's "feature"?) : an unsolvable discrepancy between the List View of any playlist and its Grid View.
So maybe I am the only one to have this problem : Why (why? why?) is the sort order of the songs that I chose to have in the List View get all mixed up when I switch to the Grid view ? It is as if I had chosen to shuffle them. I just can't have them in my expected sort order.
Here is a playlist in which all parts are sorted according to my logical need : these are meetings to be listened to in the chronological order that I have decided to build it (and not in an Alphabetical. or Creation Date. or Modification Date or even less, in a Shuffled order that iTunes might decide by itself that I should listen them !)
Now here is the same playlist in the Grid View.
Notice the anarchic mixup of all its parts (together with the unexplainable disappearance of the playing order number of half of them !).
As I have noticed this same "feature" in many screen captures brought up by other users, this totally unacceptable !
And I've been trying for hours to get them back in order, with no avail.
Is it a bug ? Or a ridiculous "feature" ? Or an idiotic design originality (flaw) ?
Or am I missing something ? Did I do something wrong ?

  • Restoring list view and column customizability?

I hate hate hate the two column view of the music library. How do I restore it back to a single column?
Also in My Music list view, I need to be able to add columns to the default view such as genre and disc number. I used to be able to do this, but no longer see this function in the wildly truncated View Options configuration utility. There used to be some 30+ fields by which your music inventory could be displayed. These appear completely absent.
    Halp?!?!?!
And the 3 column view in Playlists!?!?!?!  *** I just found this....

Go to the menu on the right of the white bar and click on songs. This brings back your list view.

  • Create a folder that inside is in list view and smallest font?

    I hope this is simple,
Using Applescript I want to be able to make a folder That when I open it, is in the list mode and using the smalles font (8). Could be useful if I can even specify where on the screen i want it to open and the size of that window. list and font are however more important.

Running the above script as you are aware works with no problems, I tried adapting it to me exist script where applescript creates the folder earlier so I referenced it with the same script and although no error there is no change on the folder.

  • List View and text length

    Hi Apple Support,
did you solved the following usability district in lion? if you us the list / splitting view in the finder you have long and short file names. if you scroll through the columns i wish me that their length adjust it automatically without double-clicking at the bottom of a column.

  • Can a weblink be used to navigate to a list view and filter the results?

I have a requirement to provide a link on a detail page to a list of related records. The link would have to take the user to a specific saved list and filter the list for those records related to the record being drilled from.
In our case, they are all custom objects but a similar example would be putting a link on the Account Detail page that would navigate the user to a list of contacts associated to that account. The related region can not be used because the users need to view more than 9 fields. And a report can not be used because the users need to be able to edit the records in the list.
    Is this possible?

    Hi,
If your requirement is to just VIEW a list of Related Records that meet your criteria, you could probably achieve it by building a report and navigating to it using the Web Link by passing the parameters to the report through the URL.
If your Customer insists on navigating to a list of related records through a Custom List (May be because they want to edit a set of records etc...)
You could create a couple of Custom Lists that meet all possible criteria you might have.
    Eg: All US Contacts
    All UK Contacts
On the click of the weblink you could pass the URL of the Custom List. It will look something like this.
    https://secure-ausomxXXX.crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/ContactList?ContactList.LAYOUT=Contact+List+AllUKContacts&ContactList.LAYOUTID=XXXX-JHU0G&OMTGT=ContactList&OMTHD=ListPostBack&ContactList.EDITFLAG=Y
XXXX-JHU0G : ID of the Custom List
    Hope this helps

  • Question re. Column View/List View in Home Folder and Root Folder?

    <Edited by Host>
When I set either my Home folder in the Dock or the Root Folder on the Desktop to open in Column View, everything opened is retracted upon closing.
Is this just the way Leopard is, or am I missing something obvious I should know:
First, on Tiger, my Home Folder opens directly in the Finder. I don't have to select "Open in Finder," as I have to in Leopard.
Second, when I select the Column option when opening the Home Folder in the Finder, it automatically sets the Column option for the Root Folder on the Desktop, as well (and vice-versa). In Tiger, they can be set independently. I prefer to have the Root Folder set to List View and the Home Folder to Column View, and have both remain like that. This is what I meant, but got a bit confused before in asking the question.
Also, is there some way, as in Tiger, to have the Home Folder in the Dock set to open automatically in the Finder, without having to select that option each time I go to the Home Folder?
Actually, now that I remember, perhaps this isn't such surprising behavior. To get it there, I copied the Home Folder from its position in the Root Folder to the Dock. Maybe there is some other way to get the Home Folder into the Dock? Thanks.

    WZZZ wrote:
Thanks. The option "Open in Finder" appears at the bottom of a small vertical menu when I click on the Home Folder in the Dock. Command clicking on the Home Folder brings up the other user account, Shared, and my user account, so it's not that useful.
ah, you are right. well, one more option is to make an alias to the home folder, put it anywhere you want and put the alias on the dock. then clicking (no command-clicking needed) on the alias in the dock will open home in a finder window directly.
The default in Finder Preferences was already set the way you suggested.
Now that I know about cmd-n, that gets me directly to the Home Folder in the Finder. And now that it's set up to open in Column View, and remain that way independent of the View option for the Root folder, everything seems to be looking good. That's what I needed.

  • OS 10.4.3 and List View: Functionality has regressed since update from .2

In the Finder, I exclusively use List View. I like it a lot and it works better for me than any of the other modes for viewing my files.
However, since I have applied the upgrade to 10.4.3 from 10.4.2, I have seen a definite regression in the functionality in the utility of List View, particularly when it comes to cut and paste of text within file names.
Try this example: open a new Finder window in a directory. Press command-2 to get List View (if that's not already the default). Press command-shift-n to create a new folder (should be named Untitled Folder). Press the Enter key to accept the name. Next press the Enter key again to allow entering a new name. Use the mouse to double-click on the word Untitled. Press command-x. "Untitled" won't get into the paste buffer - it just sits there and doesn't move. To make it go away, you must use the keyboard to delete it.
While this sounds like no big deal, it is. I manage a lot of data using my Mac. I need to be able to copy or cut parts of folder names all the time. Changing the Mac interface for an improvement of the user experience is all well and good, but this is a regression and - dare I say it - the introduction of a bug in the Finder.
By the way, this isn't specific to my computer. I've tried it on others and received the same broken behavior. Am I the only one who uses List View and cares??

hmmm is this a variation the copy/paste problem I was having with 10.4.2, where I found it was no longer possible to copy a piece of text from one application to the clipboard and then paste it (CMD + V) into another application or indeed, as the name of a new folder or a file I wanted to rename?
These are matters of the most fundamental functionality of the OS. Those little things we do all the time because we need to. If it's no longer possible to paste in a new folder name, or type one in, to replace "untitled folder" (whether in List view or any other view) that that is surely a bug and not a design feature.
So: I can confirm that I am experiencing something like the "can't rename a folder in List view" except that it's worse - it's "I can't paste anything from one place to a different place, such as three paragraphs of text I created in AppleWorks, into a Word file".
