List with Search box

HI to all,
I want create a screen which has list and a serach box. I am trying to place list and textfield in screen but i am unable. please give any idea regarding this

I searched internally, a similar issue is fixed by October,2013 CU for SharePoint 2013, that a XsltListViewWebParts cannot enable the web part property option "Display search box" in a publishing page, please check results again after update this CU for
your SharePoint server 2013.

when i check this, its loading js but the stack returns me as null.

Flyout with Search box in SharePoint 2013

I am required to implement a flyout which comes along with SharePoint 2013 search box . The flyout will show various check boxes for selecting the type of materials that we want to return in the search results.

Problem with Search?

Is there an issue with the Forum Search feature? Searching on the word "Camino" which I used in a post a few hours ago brings back no results.

To clarify, when in the "Feedback about New Discussions" Forum Listing, the search box is headed "Search Forum" and returns no result despite there being two posts with the correct value present.
When viewing a post, the search field heading reads "Search Discussions" and does seem to conduct a search across all forums. It however only seems to return results up to 12th November (for the term "Camino" at least).

When I click the iCloud button I get a browser with check boxes, not slider buttons and it does not have a "backup and storage" button. So I cannot set up backup.

When I open my iCloud browser it looks different than "normal." It shows the list with check boxes, not slider on-off buttons. It dos not show a "storage and backup" button so I cannot set up my backup. What is wrong?

If see something like the image below it's because you are looking at the iCloud settings on your Mac, not on an iOS device (which has sliders). Storage & Backup isn't in the Mac settings because you cannot back up your Mac to iCloud. Only iOS devices can back up to iCloud. On a Mac, you can get information about your iCloud account storage by looking at the green usage bar at the bottom and by clicking the "Manage..." button on the bottom right.

List search box does not work for some users Sharepoint 2013

Hello,
I have a list for which I've enabled a search box (from web part settings, miscellaneous).
The problem is that for me and the others admins the search works perfectly, but for the other users who have only Read
privilege the search doesn't work and shows the loading icon forever.
Why does this happen?
How can I enable search box
for the list for all users?
Please help

For troubleshooting your issue, please go to Central Administration -> Application Management ->Manage Service applications-> select search service application -> click Permissions -> add "Everyone" with Full Control.

The iTunes Store listing of your podcast is simply reflecting the contents of your podcast feed. Make sure all of the content you want displayed in the iTunes Store is still contained within your feed.
Are you able to supply your feed for reference?

'Find an Item' search on list with more items than view limit

Hello all
The 'Find and Item' search on a list with more items than the view limit appears to filter results according to where you are in that list. So if I search on the allitems page displaying items 1-100 I get hits from the entire list. But if I arrow
through to view items 201-300 and repeat the same search only items from 201 to the end of the list are returned
I'm assuming this is not how it should work i.e. it should always return results from the whole list. Is there a way to make that so (other than increasing the view limit to something huge so that all items are always displayed)

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that Find an item Search box in List didn't returned any results.
The problem is due to a difference between the Content Source defined for the crawl and the default zone defined in the Alternate Access mapping.
You need to change the Alternate Access Mapping configuration.

Please check if it could help with switching to "Summary Toolbar" in web part property, or patch the latest cumulative update for SharePoint 2013 and check result again.

Since installing the latest FF version 14.0.1 the search boxes on the home page don't work with google

The normal google page works fine, but the search boxes on the home page (below firefox logo and the one top RH corner) just go nowhere unless you change the search provider using the dropdown, to yahoo or bing etc, in whcih case it searches fine - just won't work with google, which I prefer to use. I have an older version 3.6.13 on another desktop and that still works fine.
Any ideas team?

* Firefox 3.6 is no longer supported and will no longer be updated for security vulnerabilities or any other updates.
*On resetting '''browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone''': It's normal for the "welcome to Firefox" tab to open and for that preference to revert back to user-set and show Firefox 14.0.1 afterwards.
*On deleting the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder and then resetting that preference again: You can open the Profile folder from the Firefox Help -> Troubleshooting Information page. See the [[Profiles]] article for more information.
* On installing new search engines from http://mycroft.mozdev.org that simply adds new search providers to the [[Search Bar|Search Bar]]. It does not install a new search bar. You will still have a single Search Bar and the "normal" Google will still be listed.
Getting back to Google not working from the about:home homepage or from the upper right corner search box, you said,

If you can go to www.google.com directly, and it works fine:
I would try removing Google from the list of search providers and then use the "Restore Defaults" button in the Search Bar "Manage Search Engine List" dialog to add it back to the list, then select it again as your default. The [[Search Bar|Search Bar]] article explains in detail how to do that. (Alternately, try the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/ Search Reset] add-on. This should also add back Google and set it as the default.)
If you try going to www.google.com but it never connects, that's a whole other issue. Putting that aside for now, if you would rather use google.co.uk from the Search Bar, you can install it <u>as an additional choice from the Search Bar drop-down menu</u>, by going here:

If I delete a message using delete key, AND the "Find in this message" box is open, should the focus switch to the search box, or remain in the message list?

If the "Find in this message" search box has been left open, but I have selected a message in the message pane, if I use the delete key to delete the current message, the focus moves to the "Find" box. It took me a while to figure out why the focus did not remain in the message list so I could delete the next message. I can regain the desired behavior by closing the search box, but it would be nice to not need to. This is on a Windows 7 OS. I should check to see how it behaves on a Linux box.

for the Points
Sometime I think I would like it if I could delete an iMessage completely.
Other times when reading them on my iPhone I wish to leave them until I can answer them with something that is on my Mac.
It seems that as a device or a Mac that is off line can "catch up" on iMessages sent within a few hours would suggest that the iMessages are held on the server for a period.
It would be handy for different levels of "deletion".

Using REST API: Query search box to return list items

Hey,
My goal is to create a search box which returns the items (matching to the name) from a list.
Bonus: The return would happen without requiring user to click a
Search button or such.
To achieve this I assume the SharePoint 2013's REST API should be used. I'm completely inexperienced in using the REST API so all kind of suggestions are available.

The search boxes in websites no longer list anything

Some time ago the search boxes in websites started returning blank lists.
If I copy the address and paste it into Chrome, I see a list.
This is the latest search I tried:

is blank in Firefox but says "About 172 results" in Chrome.
I had to remove 509 lines that started with "print.printer_... in the troubleshooting information below to get the message under 30,000 characters. Might that have something to do with the problem?

With firefox 4, google toobar seach box suggestions no longer appear in the search box itself

After installing Firefox 4:
When I start typing in the Google toolbar search box an item, like NYT and the search suggestions appear -- like NY Times -- I used to be able to click on "NY Times" and this would appear filled out in the Google search box. This no longer happens. Instead, what I have typed in is the only thing showing: NYT.

I think this may not be a browser problem but rather a Google problem.
I am getting the same problem with the Google Chrome browser.
