Listen to message from an outside line

Have a quick question! How do I listen to my messages from an outside line.

You can either call into your mailbox and press * or setup a DID number and translate this number to your Unity hunt pilot using a translation pattern. You can also enter your mobile number as an alternate extension so when you dial the external number, you are only prompted for your PIN.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

  • Since upgrading toFirefox 4, I can no longer return to my e-mail message from an on-line attachment without shutting down the browser since there is no "close tab" option

    Formerly, an e-mail with a website, photo, etc. attachment that I opened required only that I click close tab return to my e-mail message. Since upgrading a few days ago, the only option present is to exit, which now requires re-opening firefox then my e-mail browser. Any website I am examining that I want to close automatically exits me from Firefox.

    there should be an X on the right side of each tab. clicking on it should close that tab

  • Unity message server is offline when tyring to listen to messages from a phone, email delivery and listening to messages in outlook works fine

    The problem started last night when our Exchange queues backed up due to a virtual memory error and we had to do a failover. I see the following item in the application log repeating.
    Source: CiscoUnity_CsServices
    Category: run
    Type: error
    Event ID: 1065
    Description: AvCsGateway: FindCsComponentsEX failed.  AvCsMgr not started.

    Description: AvCsGateway: FindCsComponentsEX failed.  AvCsMgr not started.
    When I look in the services section it shows all the services as started.  I've tried manually restarting services and have rebooted the server multiple times.  The web interface works just fine as well.  I haven't been able to find any thing online that matches this.  Has anyone seen this before or knows how to fix it?

    Try restarting the AvcsGateway service.
    If that does not help, re-run the Service Configuration wizard.

  • How can I access my Call Handlers from outside line (outside district)

    CISCO VoIP System Info:
    Cisco Unity Connection version: 8.6.2ES25.21900-25
    CM Admin System version: 8.6.2.21900-5 on C200M2 Servers
    Our engineer setup our Call Handlers so that in our to change the recordings on them, you diall 7800 from a phone inside the office, or as he put it in the procedures, from within the district.  Once you dial, you need to enter the user code, password, then the extension of the Call Handler, and we have no problems recording/changing any Call Handlers.  However, due to possible inclement weather approaching in the next few weeks, I was asked how we cna change them from an outside line (manager's home, etc.).  We cannot access from an outside line.  7800 is not a DID, it is simply the extension he assigned to access the call handlers.  I even went so far as to setup a dummy phone and forward it to 7800, but this does not work either.  It forwards to the extension's voicemail.  Is there a way we can access the Call Handlers from an outside line?  Any help would be gretaly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Hey Joseph,
    Go Flames ....errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr maybe not so much
    What you are trying to get to is really just the Greetings Administrator
    conversation and there are multiple ways to get there.
    For example, you can set up a Caller Input off any mailbox (Press 1-9) let's say 7 to
    go to Conversation> Greetings Administrator. So you could set this on the managers mailbox
    and when he calls his own number from home once his greeting
    kicks in he can press 7 to link to the Greetings Administrator conversation
    or
    You could set up a DID DN xxx-xxx-2345 as a CTI-RP and set Call Forward All to reach Unity Connection.
    In this case you will need to use the Forwarded Routing Rules = xxx-xxx-2345 route to
    Greetings Administrator. Make sure to move this rule to the bottom of the list!!
    Cheers!
    Rob

  • How to stop reading foreign queue message from MDB using weblogic 6.1? thanks,

    Hi, I am using weblogic 6.1 to communicate with IBM MQseries foreign
    queue. I use the asychronous way "onMessage()"(properly the only
    known way) to listen the messages from the queue. I like to stop
    receiving messages if my south bound stream has problems and not able
    to process the message, I would like to stop fetching the message with
    my MDB(message driven bean) untill the down stream problem is cleared.
    As weblogic uses container to create the multiple session and
    connections internally, how can I efficiently stop the message
    delivery, do I have to locate all the connections and issue
    connection.stop()for each one, or there is better way to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

    If you never use FaceTime on your Mac, open the FaceTime app on it and sign out. Also, the following instructions are from Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
    Turn off iPhone cellular calls
    To turn off iPhone cellular calls on your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
    On your Mac, open the FaceTime app and go to FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings and deselect the iPhone Cellular Calls option.

  • Listening for messages for a certain duration

    I have a situation where my JMS client should listen for messages from
              Queue for a certain amount of time. Is this possible?
              Thanks,

    Why not create a timer and close the JMS subscriber (and maybe even the
              session and the connection) after the time elapses?

  • MeetME from the outside

    Is there any way to initiate a MeetMe from an outside line?

    Not natively, some folks say they have created scripts or some other stuff to do this but I can't really  tell you how they work.
    You would need to search CSC or maybe one of them will jump in and elaborate on that.

    ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: ORA-02063: preceding line from OWB_75
    Scenario:
    I am having difficulty getting ODBC connection between Oracle OWB app with an 11gR2 DB (running on a VirtualBox Linux) and SQL Server 2008 running directly on the host. (Windows 8)
    I am trying to take a SQL Server 2008 feed into Oracle Ware house Builder, and think(!) I have read everything and configured it in accordance (but I presume not given 3 days of failed attempts to fix it). I have also read several blogs, hence there might be a few more settings in the configuration files than the formal documentation says, but these have come from blogs that have “Solved” problems for other similar situations.

    Let us rewrite your ODBC DSN a little bit... Your current odbc.ini looks like:
    [ACME_POS]
    Driver     = FreeTDS
    Description = ODBC Connection via FreeTDS
    Trace       = 1
    Servername  = 192.168.1.80
    Database    = dbo
    Let us change it a little bit so that we only need one config file - no odbcinst.ini nor freetds.conf file anymore:
    [ACME_POS]
    Driver =/usr/local/lib/libtdsodbc.so
    Server = 192.168.1.80
    Database
    = dbo     ####  I have some doubts that you have a SQL Server database called dbo - one database that always exists is master - so as a test use master here or get the real database name of the SQL Server database you want to connect
    Port = 60801 ## make sure it really is the correct port - best would be to check on the SQL server and then try telnet <ip> <port> if you can connect to the SQL server
    TDS_Version = 8.0
    QuotedId=YES
    Especially the last 2 parameters are mandatory. TDS_Version specifies the TDS Version you have to use to connect to the SQL Server and QuotedID is required for DG4ODBC as it surrounds objevt names by double quotes.
    What happens now when you try to connect with for example isql - the ODBC test utility shipped with the ODBC Driver manager?
    In addition, could you please do me another favour and check the word size of DG4ODBC and the ODBC Driver Manager as well as the ODBC Driver - just execute:
    file /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/bin/dg4odbc
    file /usr/local/lib/libtdsodbc.so
    file < the patch to your libodbc.so library>/libodbc.so
    and post the output.

  • Starting the nzrView in listen mode from the command line...

    I want to be able to start the nzrViewer in listen mode when I log into windows and then be able to accept an invite for a collaboration session. When I added a shortcut to the "nzrViewer.exe /listen 5550" to my Startup Folder, it launches the Remote Listener just fine, but when I someone invites me to collaborate a Remote Session, I get an error message "Ticket not provided for Rights Authentication."
    I believe that the problem is when I launch the Viewer from the command line, I'm not authenticated to the Zen server, so it can't verify my Rights.
    Does anyone have a better way to do this? Or do I have to log into ZCC and launch the "Remote Management Listener" from there?

    There has been some updates in the documentation for 10.2.2 about remote control from cmd line.
    Check it out, maybe there is a solution to your problem.

    Hey Grupo Castillo,
    Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
    1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
    2. Click Composing.
    3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
    When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

  • Why can I not print from pages but can if I copy to text edit, I get "printer off line message " from pages ?

    Why can I not print from pages but can if I copy to text edit, I get "printer off line message " from pages ?  I use HP wireless printer .

    Are you sure you have the right printer?
    In UNIX/OSX printers are virtual links to devices and even with the same name can be trying to reach a printer via another network address, so it thinks it is another printer.

  • Listener doesn't pick up messages from a particular source.

    I have a queue populated from two different sources. My listener configured on that queue receives messages send from one source and not the other.
    I can see the messages from both sources in the queue when I check through the server administration page.
    To make things interesting, messages from both the source looks identical (in terms of all the properties except id and timestamp).
    Any clues anyone?
    Thanks

    Are the two queues are having two different names.
    which server are you using
    Can you tell me how to see the messages from in queue from administration console

    Check Settings>General>Cellular to be sure you have Cellular Data set to On.
