Hello,
The binaries Exist under $ORACLE_HOME=your_home/bin
tell him why it will be corrupted that is rarely happens so you could answer if that happen which i never seen this case before i will install another software only in another machine and copy that binay from the bin directory to my database directory .Note that you must do that for the same version and you must not have applied patchset if you did apply a patch set do the same with the new installed one.
Kind regards
Mohamed

  • What should i do when my file got corrupted please help.

i was on microsoft word and it says my files got corrupted.

where is your necessary backup for that important file at?
Do you have a time machine backup, or where is your copy of that file on your external HD?

  • Data file got corrupted

<b>If the datafile get corrupted while creating, what should I do?</b>

    Hi
During creation of datafile, if the datafile got corrupted then you can delete the data file and recreate it again. The condition is that the particular data file has not been used after creation.
But if the datafile is created snd used, then you have to restore the datafile from the backup (use the Brtools to restore the datafile)
Please use Brtools utliity for the same.
    Thanks

  • M4a file got corrupted

I did a voice recording and downloaded it on my laptop. Naively, I deleted the audio files from my Phone (Galaxy S4). 3 out of 4 audios were working fine but one of them got corrupted/broken. I can't play it with anything.
I started looking around online and found http://mp4repair.org/ which showed that the file can be repaired. I uploaded and heard it for sometime and things looked fine. The problem is that it is asking for 90$
I then looked at some discussion at appleinsider http://forums.appleinsider.com/t/81014/need-help-fixing-an-audio-file
The guy suggested to work with the Hexfiend. Though I can see the data is intact on the audio file, I can't get it back after numerous tries.
Any kind of help is welcome.
    Thanks in Advance

A previous post from someone with the same problem didn't produce an answer and I'm afraid it's not something in my experience, so I can't suggest any other methods to you.

  • Avi files got corrupted

I recorded a series of avi files with two different Canon cameras while in South Africa in January. When I downloaded them, they played fine, and were really quite terrific.
Somehow, several months ago, possibly in doing software updates, the file sizes got reduced to somewhere between 7KB and 140KB. Now, when I try to play them, QT launches, and all i get is the opening frame, and the duration shows as zero.
What could have happened to them? Are there invisible files floating around on my hard drive?

    Glen:
What you're trying to play is the jpg of the first frame that iPhoto creates upon import. Are you must double clicking on the thumbnail in iPhoto when trying to play?
Control-click on the thumbnail and select Show File. When you get to the file via the Finder check its size to see if it's the full sized file instead of the thumbnail.
If you exported the movie file out of iPhoto and didn't use the Format = Original option the exported file will be a jpg or whatever format is selected instead as a movie file.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Transferring docs from DELL to Macbook pro, some files got corrupted or won't open.

I got my mcbpro with os lion and i transferred all of my documents from my DELL laptop on an external harddrive, however i can open some jpgs and word docs and others won't open giving: Item “NAME.JPG” is used by Mac OS X and can’t be opened.
Also, one folder that had all of my school docs is completely blank, and I have it backedup.
I do have the necessary apps to open these docs (for example office for mac, and preview for jpgs) and I can also open some word docs and jpg images I have so I dont really understand why those ones won't be opened.

And starting in Lion you can migrate the files from your PC to your new Mac.

  • Opied files got corrupted in USB3 external drives connected to Macbook Pro, how to fix it?

I use USB3 connected external hard drives in my Macbook Pro mid 2012 (Yosemite 10.10.1) frequently. I had no problem until two months ago. This week I noticed a lot of corrupted files in one ext drive connected to USB3 port. Luckily  I have a backup, and I copied back the files. But the files copied recently were also corrupted even though source files are fine. I spent a whole day trying to fix it using different methods of copy and options, e.g. erasing the drive, using cp, rsync, ditto and a combination of their options. I figured out that if I use cp or cp - R for copying single file or folder, it works fine, but using of rsync, ditto or recursive cp or finder's drag and drop result into a lot of corrupted files in the target drive.  This is not the problem of external drive.  I was surprised to notice that all files are copied perfectly when I used a old macbook (2008 model, it only has USB2 port, and OSX Mavericks). Since I have almost 2TB data to write, USB2 is very slow. I want to use USB3 of Macbook Pro 2012, but I am very disappointed to find out that USB3 in Yosemite is causing the trouble, writing out corrupted files. If anyone has a solution to this problem, or a second thought, Please suggest.

Disk is formatted to Paragon NTFS

My guess here is there is some issue with the use of Paragon NTFS. Perhaps updating it or using another NTFS driver (like Tuxera, or its free alternative NTFS-3G) will work. All in all, using NTFS in write mode with these options will be using a non-supported approach for accessing your drive, which could lead to odd problems if Apple makes a change that interferes with the functions of these drivers. At other times, such drivers use inherently less stable approaches (such as the FUSE environment) that could lead to problems if not formatted correctly.
If your drive is working, and the formatting is checked out properly in Windows and other systems, then I'd suggest you check on your NTFS driver and update or replace it. Alternatively, if you only use the drive with your Mac, then consider formatting it to Apple's native Mac OS Extended. Lastly, if you use the drive with multiple operating systems, then consider using FAT32 or ExFAT as the format, as these are fully supported in OS X (unlike NTFS, which is only supported for reading).

Disk is formatted to Paragon NTFS

It's good to hear the Macbook Pro & the disk is capable of working correctly. The next test would be to try a clean install of OS X & repeat the copy guess. Adding third party drivers for write support makes the picture a little cloudy IMO.
I'm not really sure what else to suggest other than doing some tests & then taking that data to an Apple store. If you are lucky the genius may follow up on it, or if you submit it as bug reports Apple may follow up on it.

  • Psd file got corrupted in redraw and is still corrupted, even though i didn't save the file.

sorry for the long headline, but can't figure out how to shorten...
i'm using photoshop CS 5.5. the image below is the result of making a change, zooming in and the redraw created this:
as i zoomed out, the image progressively filled into normal by the time it was at 6% actual size, but when i zoomed in, the image broke apart once more. i closed this image without saving. i reopened the image, and the corruption remained. i tried to open in CS 6 and 4 but it was still corrupted. the layers are mostly smart objects which opened uncorrupted. i resaved them and when it went back to the main document, that particular smart object was restored. so i thought it had to do with a smart object glitch, but then i realized that the pixel masks non-smartobject layers had giant square blocks. this file is gone.
    can anyone provide insight?
this is how the file looked originally:

This is the main reason I pay as many bills as I can by credit card. If I have a dispute with a charge to my credit card, I call the CC company and post the dispute. This way, the charge is deducted from my bill UNTIL the CC company, the billing company and I come to an agreement on whether or not the charge is valid. Verizon is more likely to react more quickly when the CC company is one of the parties involved in the dispute. This has never failed me in the past.

  • I downloded iphoto 11 9.2 and when opened it for the first time and the program started to update my iPhoto library the file got corrupted. That has happened in the two macs I have (both of them rather new and updated to last Lion version 10.7.2).

I downloaded Iphoto 11 9.2 from the apps store (was on iphoto '09 before version 8.x) and when opened it for the first time it tried to update my photo librery and ended up corupting it to the extreme that I had to get a backup from time capsule and downgrade my iphoto version. I spent yesterday 6 hours at the genius bar in an apple store and they were not able to provide me with any other solution. In the emantime, I have to forget about about photo streaming... Any idea, is this a bug that somebody knows how tp fix?

In fairness, this isn't an issue in iPhoto 11 but one in your Library. Some file or other in there is damaged and that's what causes the crash during the upgrade.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • File got corrupt during Save crash

I was saving a file, and right then had a power outage. I went to sleep, woke up next day, opened the file in DW and it's all blank. Says 19kb but is blank. How do I recover the data? It's really important stuff that I coded and I have to meet a deadline so help would be much appreciated. Anyone has this happened to them?
Also, what precautions can I take to prevent this in the future?

Unless you have the file saved as a backup, or uploaded it to the server, then I'm afraid you are out of luck.  As far as I am aware there is no way to recover a lost file.
There could be a tmp file somewhere if you previewed the file in the browser, but I'm not even sure where it may be located - and DW is supposed to remove the tmp files on close anyway.

  • During adding comments PDF got corrupt.

We have given the PDF to our client created using Export option of Indesign CS5 after that we make them comment enable using Adobe acrobat 9 pro software.
Our client freelancer used Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07) which was updated on 22/05/14 to give comments on that PDF.
Once again our client wants to add some more comments in the PDF using Adobe acrobat 9 pro. But during this the file got corrupt. Below is the statement given by them.
"I received the proofread corrections back from the proofreader last week but there were still a few extra corrections to mark on. However when I attempt to mark these extra corrections on the proofs myself and then save it, the pdf immediately becomes corrupt and unreadable. IT were unable to solve the issue but they said that it might be some sort of font error. Could you look into this to see if this is an issue. It might simply be the case that it is a very large file and so it has become corrupt for that reason. I’ve never had this happen before on one of my files though, could you let me know if you have heard of it happening or if you know of any reason why this might happen?"
We are also trying the same process at our end but there is no such problem face by us. We even try to add the comment in the PDF worked by freelance using Adobe reader XI but everything goes fine.
We are able to add comment in Adobe acrobat 9 Pro and no file corrupt issue face by us. Is it possible for you to let us know the reason of such problem at our client end. Size of PDF is 178 MB.
Even in acrobat reader XI we dont face any problem in adding comments.
Is anyone let me know why our client is facing this type of problem.

Linda, I'm wondering if there's some "conflict" being triggered because you're using both Win 7 and WinXP --
Specifically, I wonder if the two systems have off-kilter time stamps, and that's why FM is giving the "newer creation date" problem.
I don't quite understand what role the XP system has in your test, though -- can you not just use FM == and == make the PDF on the same Win7 box, make the comment on that box, then import the comments?
Understandably you will probably eventually need to be able to import comments from all sorts of other systems, but for troubleshooting could you try making the full create-comment-import cycle on the Win7 box only?
If that does work, then you might see of you can set the system time on the XP box to be somewhat slower than the Win7 box, and re-try with the XP box in the mix.
Edit: changing the system time clock is suggested only as a testing procedure, to see if we can isolate the exact cause, I'm not suggesting that in order to work reliably all your reviewers would need to synchronize their systems :-)

You should maintain your database backup a little more carefully. Saying that "we don't have any and the one we had , got deleted" just shows that the backup/recovery is not taken seriously.
About the corruption, how did the file got corrupted? Is it a file corruption or a block corruption? If its a full file, probably you can go ahead and can recreate the corrupted file with alter database create datafile
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/A87860_01/doc/server.817/a76993/performi.htm#16272
The only issue is,you need archivelogs since the time the original datafile was created. If this would be more older than the 3 days of archive logs you have, it would be an issue.
To sum up, if you don't have ANY backup, you are mostly out of luck here. That's more true as you are using a very much older and unsupported version of Oracle which is officially not part of main stream, supported releases.

  • Essbase.sec adn essbase.bak got corrupted

Hi essbase world..my essbase.sec and essbase.bak files got corrupted and i dont have backup of them. can any one suggest me a method to recover all my applications and get them running again. Thanks,Gpal

Can you not get an older version of your sec/bak file from backup? If not, presuming that you still have your app directory, you could try deleting the sec file altogether.Enter the appropriate administrator password etc and then do File/New/Application using the EXACT same names as the existing applications. This is unsupported but I've used it to recreate the app mgr view of apps after a corrupt/lost sec file.I'm afraid this doesn't help you with your users/groups though. Do you have an old dump of your sec file so at least you have a hard copy of filters etc?
