Listener gives a unknown notification

Hello at all,
everytime, when i start the listener of my Oracle 11gR2 test instance, he says me the following:
Service "dbprod2" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "dbprod2", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
My instance is called "dbprod2" as you can see. What does "status UNKNOWN" mean?

DavidThe UNKNOWN status is set because the instance is hard-coded into the listener.ora file; there should also be a similar entry for exdb so each database, when running, should have two entries, one with a status of UNKNOWN and one with a status of READY (for the autoregistered instance).

Install the latest version of iTunes.

Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

IOS developer program gives "An unknown error occurred. Please try again." on registration.

I am trying to register in iOS developer program but it gives "An unknown error occurred. Please try again.".
I tried different browsers (Google Crome, firefox, IE, safari), I also tried registering from iPad but the same error occured, I am trying this from 1st April, but it still not resolved.
Also the country is showing blank, hence I am not able to select the state. (I am from India).
Please help, thanks in advance.

I had the same issue (from United Kingdom), fixed this by inspecting the page and changing the country input type from 'hidden' to 'text' and manually entering 'United Kingdom' in the text field.
Country still displays as blank on the next page, but I'm able to proceed past that without the error.

My iPhone gives two gmail notification. How to fix it?

I just bought a iPhone4 in Korea.
I set up gmail account in iPhone through MS Exchange. I chose only "inbox" to be pushed. But if a mail arrives, then the phone gives me two notification in a row in case when I leave the mail program in "All mail". When I check the all mail box, then the mail has been already downloaded. It looks like the mail program is running actively in background. If I leave it in "inbox" state, then it gives me only one notification. Some settings have been set wrong, or bug. Does anybody know how I can fix this? I just want to be notified when the mails arrive in inbox (I have some unimportant mails skip the inbox).

Now I see the "Show in IMAP". But unchecking it didn't fix the problem, unfortunately. Looks like mail program keeps running actively in the background. When I was using iPhone 3G in the U.S., if I turned on the iPhone after notified, then "All mail" was downloading the new mail, and then giving me another ding. But this one (iPhone4) it keeps downloading mails as soon as the individual ones arrive, resulting in high battery use.

App Store gives "An unknown error has occurred" when I try to log in

I know I'm using the correct username and password -- using a different one gives a password-specific error, and the username/password works correctly elsehwere.
I have applied all updates, and rebooted.
I just had my SSD replaced (got the machine back today), and the apple store put snow leopard instead of lion on it -- my lion upgrade was purchased in the app store previously. So, I currently have mountain lion on this machine.

urgh... just noticed my previous post said i have mountain lion... i meant that i have snow leopard. no idea why i messed that up!
anyway, i just tried reinstalling snow leopard from the usb key that came with the computer. Then, I installed software updates until it told me there were no more updates. After that, I tried the app store again, and it still is giving me the unknown error. really irked by that. may have to take it back to the apple store yet again, to see if i can figure out why the app store won't work.

Renting movie from iTunes gives an unknown error occurred (-42110)

When I rent a movie from the iTunes Store it downloads but as it is rendering it gives the following error

Hi, i just bought my iphone 64 gb and it wont give me push notifications from any of the apps like facebook, twitter etc. i have checked all the settings for the phone and the apps and have evdn tried restoring my phone but this problem wont go.

I used to have a 4s 16 gb before which was perfectly allright. Csn some one help please ?

I had this problem too. What I did was go to notifications on settings and turn everything on. If that doesn't work, go on the apps and then try their settings. Hope this helps

Game Center - no add friend button and unknown notifications

On my iPhone 4 when I click into game center I dont think it is acting as it should? There are a few things wrong I think?
- In the friends tab it just says "No Friends" and has no button anywhere for me to add friends.
- There are only three tabs down the bottom 'Me', 'Friends' and 'Games' - shouldnt there be an extra one?
- Randomly sometimes when I enter game center then exit again a notification show on game center in my home screen and when I click on game center to find the notification it is no where to be found but the little red "1" still stays over game center in my home screen and I can't get rid of it?
Someone please help, I am very confused!!!

Enable Game Center under General>Restricions>Game Center. There are two toggles, "Multiplayer Games" and "Adding Friends". Turning on the latter toggle will enable you to add friends to your account.
Alternatively, you can disable restrictions completely.

The Palm OS module compiler gives an unknown error.

I have just installed LV7.1 with the PDA module. I have followed the getting started instructions and have found the following problems:
1. I am unable to upload the ROM image for the emulator. The computer and the PDA simply do not comunicate.
2. When I try to build an application, after a few seconds of apparently good behaviour I get an error saying that I have got an unknown error and I should contact NI.
3. In addition, I have LV7.0 installed in my computer, and I did installed the PDA module, however I never activate it. I have now uninstalled it.

Yes I do understand this. I have uninstalled the PDA module and reinstall it again and now it does work. However I am still having some problems.
1. I am working with two PDAs, a M515 and Tungsten C,therefore different OS(v. 4.01 and v. 5.2.1).
2. I have begun doing some of the examples. From the ones I have tried most of them seem to work fine except for the graphing calculator. I get an error saying that the code is too big.
3. I cannot use the download command from Labview. It asks me to perform a hotsync, and when I do it nothing happens.
4. The LabView conduit is giving me problems. If I use the Labview conduit to install a program in any of the PDAs, the program appears in the info list of the PDA, however there is no icon. Also
the program image in my hardrive shows the file as if it has 0K size after the hotsync.
5. If I use the normal installation conduit, the program does download and install correctly and the file image in the hardrive shows its normal file size. However, each time I run the program in the PDA it begins looking for a host: "Waiting for host". I press the cancel button and everything works. There is no advise about this strange behaviour in the release notes.

Iphone is stuck in recovery mode - Itunes gives me Unknown Error 9

Hello, yesterday when I plug in my iphone to the pc for some x reason itunes could not find my iphone and it told me to make a restore ... I did it but when it started the recovery mode it told me that it could not be restore because there was a "Unknown Error 9"..
I did the following: Uninstall Itunes and Re-install Itunes (latest version ofc)
Turn on off the phone
hold the start and home button while recovery
even downloded some solutions people in the forum commented
I change my usb cord
I change the usb port
but nothing has work anyone know what I can do?

NOO it's not broken it is a software error. What you need to do is put your phone into what is called DFU mode or Device Firmware Upgrade Mode. What you have to do is connect your phone to itunes but do not start the sync process. Ignore any popups from itunes initially. When you are connected to itunes take your phone and hold down the home button and power button at the same time. Hold them down for about 30 seconds or so and you should see your device screen rollover to the black screen and disconnect from itunes once this happens it will reboot and automatically connect to iTunes, after this happens start the restore process through itunes and it should continue past the error message.
* Also before you do this try ejecting your sim card if you have the at&t model if you are on Verizon ignore this. There is a small oval port on the right side of the phone with a small pinhole. Use a paperclip and insert it into the hole, the door will pop open. Take the door out, remove the sim card and wait 5 minutes then return the sim card back into the phone and begin the above process.
If none of this works you may just want to bring it the genius bar and have them look at it. Good Luck and I hope this helps!

Signing in with my apple ID and password reponds with "an unknown error has occurred" message when signing in to Ibooks and Mac app store. I cannot there for access any updates. Help!!
