Listening and DL'ing from the iTunes Store with iTunes 6

I like iTunes 6. It runs far less buggy on my pc. But whenever I try to preview a song, it gives me an error code (-208) and won't play a song. Ditto for downloading. Also, I have to relog in every couple of minutes no matter what.
The first suggestion apple makes is to upgrade to the newest version. But I don't WANT to upgrade to the newest version!
Am I SOL?

Probably. Right now, I can't find exactly what the oldest version of iTunes is that will still allow you to purchase from the store. Older versions of iTunes are usually disabled at some point in time to plug security holes in the store & the older versions will be disabled without notice. The only thing that should be affected as you have discovered is your use of the store with an older version. I will keep looking about version number & post back if I find it. Sorry.

On the iPad you can stream videos, photos, or music from the Video, Photos, Music, and YouTube apps to an Apple TV OR just stream music to an AirPort Express Base Station.

As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

Make sure there is enough funds for storage. Contact your bank and verify they are not stopping transaction.

My problem mainly concerns cover art.
There have been times when I downloaded albums from the iTunes store to find its cover art it is absolutely beautiful, and is absolutely 100% un stretched. Whereas when I have gotten images for a specific album from Google Images it's terribly pixelated and totally disgusting.
Is there a way for me to obtain cover art for my albums that is has clarity equal to the cover art on the iTunes store albums.
Or will it basically boil down to I can only get that cover art by downloading my albums off the store?

No, you bought Photoshop Elements Editor when you bought it from the app store. No organizer. You don't import photos, merely use File>Open to get them into the editor. You can't access your iphoto library because that's not how you do it. The iphoto library is a proprietary database for iphoto's own use and poking around in it from outside iphoto is the fastest way to corrupt it and lose all your pics. If you use iphoto you have two choices:
1. Set PSE as your external editor in iphoto and send the photos from there. Save, not Save As and iphoto will remember your original plus the last saved edits, although you must lose the edits to revert to the original again. If you see the Save As window, it's not going to work. You may need to set the PSE prefs>saving files>on first save to Save Over Original to get this working.
2. Export the photos from iphoto, edit the exports and save them, making all the changes you want, then import the edited pics back to iphoto as new files.

Then back to the menu bar click Store > View My Account
In the Account Information window click the Edit button to the right of Payment Type

I get a little way into the film (just 4 minutes this time!) and it stops playing or downloading. The remaining download time changes continually and will say anything from 6 minutes to 11 hours! My laptop shouldn't be the problem as it is under a year old and I haven't experierienced any other running problems with it... I hope I will not be charged for the film !!

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
