Listening to itunes radio

It seems every station I try to listen to opens a window that states "connecting" but it never connects, there are only two stations I can actually connect to, why what's up?
How do I listen to any of the stations listed?
Thank you for helping.

If you find the answer to this question, please let me know. My ISP is Hughes Net Satellite, and iTunes hardly works to stream audio. Even on stations I can steam easily from the station web sites in Real Audio or Windows Media Player using Flip4Mac, iTunes is dead. I bet only about 10 percent of the Radio links in iTunes actually work for me. And none of them are stations I want to listen to. And since I like to use my Airport Express with Air Tunes to stream throughout the house via my stereo, it really ***** when iTunes won't stream. I'm forced to keep my laptop on top of the stereo wired from the earphone jack to stream from the station web sites. It *****!

  • How to listen to itunes radio at work?

    Hi, can someone please help?!
I love listening to itunes radio but when I am at work for some reason it does not work.
I tried to research the subject but most of the posts are specific to a different problem or just mention something about proxies, but don't give detailed instructions.
I figure the problem is proxies since I am connected a network server and I have all the information and passwords needed, but I do not know how to fix this or where to fix this on my computer. The proxies that i have checked right now are the "web proxy" and "secure web proxy". i tried to turn both off and that didn't really seem to work either.
Please let me know what to do, and if that is not the problem please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it.
    Thank You
    m.

Before you spend a lot of time spinning your wheels on this issue, I'd suggest you first talk to your company's IT department and ask if they're blocking access to streaming music sites. Many organizations do to prevent music streaming from hogging all their bandwidth.
If they tell you they're not blocking or throttling access, post back and we'll go from there.
    Regards.

  • Listening to itunes radio on iphone

Can you listen to itunes radio on iphone?

iTunes radio comes with ios7 so the simple answer is yes you can, depending where you live.  Unfortunately the radio is only available in the US, there is no indication when it will be available to the rest of the world, similar applies to other features advertised with ios7.  In the meantime as already suggested you could try a radio app, but it like myself you really just wanted the itunes radio, you might have to wait.  Sorry I can't be more helpful.

  • Listen to iTunes radio without entering a credit card number

How can one listen to iTunes radio without entering a credit card number in the iTunes registration process?

You will need to set up an iTunes Store account using the same procedure that you would use if you wanted to obtain free iOS apps:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.

  • My iPad isn't locking automatically after I have been listening to iTunes Radio for a while what do I do? Thank you

My iPad isn't locking automatically when I listen to iTunes Radio for a while. I checked my auto lock settings and it is set to 2 minutes but it isn't locking when I listen to iTunes Radio

iTunes radio and Pandora are designed to play after the screen turns dark so you can listen to music without wasting energy on a lite screen. The main thing is that the screen goes dark after two minute. Also after listening to iTunes or Pandora when you are done be sure to double click the home button and swipe up to close the app.

  • Resume listening to itunes radio

Has anyone else had the issue where iTunes Radio will stop playing after a couple of hours and ask "resume listening to itunes radio?" and make you click a button to continue?  As soon as I click it, it resumes.  This is pretty annoying since I run it from a headless Mini and have to log into it every time I want to continue listening.

Yep, it's pretty common. Sometimes it will allow you to continue, and sometimes you have to select a different station, or log out of your iTunes Store account and back in, to continue. iTunes Radio is clearly not a finished product and these problems are a big reason why I haven't dropped my subscriptions to Spotify and Pandora yet.
    Regards.

It started working again. I guess it just got messed up

  • I have been listening to iTunes radio for a few months.  All of a sudden, I don't get any sound when music is playing, however, if an ad comes on, I can hear that.  Any suggestions?

I have been listening to iTunes radio for a few months.  All of a sudden I cannot hear any music stations.  I can hear the ads when they come on, but not the music.  Any suggestions?

Both Firefox and IE have the same problem. The cursor instead of being a finger when pointing to a link is still an arrow. However I can click anywhere on the page and an ad will pop up. I have eliminated all unwanted bars in Firefox, I ran Malwarebytes until it came out clean. I also have AVG which had detected a few items on it's own. But when I get into Firefox I still have exactly the same problem. Now it will not let me download Browser Safeguard. Usually after one click the pointer returns to normal for a few screens. When I try to click to download Browser Safeguard it keeps bringing up different ads or it tries to get me to upgrade Firefox or some other browser helper program which I know are all BS tactics to get me to load their junk again. PLease help I'm an engineer and pretty good with PCs but this one has me beat at least so far.

  • HT5848 How do I listen to iTunes Radio and play other game/apps at the same time? On an iPad.

Just got an iPad air and last night was able to listen to iTunes Radio and play some apps at the same time. Now today a software update, and no go on doing radio and apps at the same time....help!!!

Anytime you open an app that has a persistant sound stream - a movie, a podcast, some games - it will overide the music app's stream. nothiong you can do to change it.

  • ITunes Radio hangs every time it plays a rejoin (You're listening to iTunes Radio).

Every time iTunes plays a rejoin ("You're listening to iTunes Radio"), the channel hangs.   Stopping and restarting the stream does not fix the problem.  The only solution is to start a second channel for a second, then go back to the original channel.

Same issue since changing Apple ID password. Apple TV won't allow me to play my music of video purchases (says iTunes is currently unavailable). I'm able to play them on my mac and iPad, however. Radio on the other hand is completely crazy on all my devices - when choosing a station it immediately skips through several songs at a rapid pace then gets stuck on the "you're listening to iTunes radio" glitch as described above.
I've done a reset and factory restore of my Apple TV, signed in and out of my Apple ID, reset my router, NOTHING has worked. Apple support was no help.
I'm sorry I have nothing to contribute right now - I'll keep searching and share here if I find a solution.
Why is chaning my password causing such chaos?!

  • Do I have to sign up with a credit card just to listen to iTunes radio?

Do I have to sign up with a credit card just to listen to iTunes radio?

To my knowledge, no, but you do need an iTunes Store account and that requires either a payment method or that you follow a precise procedure. Take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the ad-supported version of iTunes Radio or the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
    Regards.

  • "You're Listening to iTunes Radio" error

After changing the password for my Apple ID on my iMac, I am unable to sign in to iTunes Radio from any of my devices (iPhone 5S, iPad 4th gen, or Apple TV 3rd gen).  While surprised the devices didn't just learn my new password, I assumed it's perhaps a security matter so have been attempting to sign in with my new or old password.  Most everything else appears to work.  But when I attempt to listen to iTunes Radio, all I get is a male voice repeating over and over continuously "You're listening to iTunes Radio."  On-screen the display just cycles through album covers.  I was able to listen to my own music streamed from iMatch on my iPhone, but not my iPad, and neither plays iTunes Radio--just that "You're listening to iTunes Radio" repeated over and over.  I have tried power cycling the iPhone, turning iTunes Match off then on, entering my iCloud ID in lieu of my normal non-Apple domain Apple ID, all to no avail.
I had no idea updating my Apple ID's password would be so problematic.  Can anyone help me or has iTunes Radio simply gone crazy?

  • On iTunes Radio, after a human voice comeson to say, "You are listening to iTunes Radio," there is silence and I need to shut down iTunes and restart it to hear music again. Why is this happening?.

When I listen to iTunes radio, that I love, a human voice comes on not infrequently to tell us, "You are listening to iTunes radio." After that no more music. Silence. I need to close down iTUnes and restart it and resume Radio to hear music again. Why is this happening??

Thanks for the reply. What I found to be the problem was my external hard drive. It would go to sleep and would not wake up when I wanted to get into my media files. This has been frustrating, to say the least. I have a Seagate Network 2TB connected. Seems I've had my share of problems with Seagate. I plan to replace this device with something more Mac friendly.

  • I had been listen to itunes radio on my computer and now it comes up with the following message"An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your internet connection, or try again later???? I have reset cache and it still isn't worki

I have been listening to iturnes radion on my computer for months. now i get an error.
"an error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your internet connection, or try again later".
I have reset the cache but nothing seems to help. Any help???

Somebody suggested clearing the Store cache.  I don't know why that would affect the radio.  Seems to have not worked for some, worked for a few or maybe they imagined it.  Many other posts about this if you browse the forum.
This is happening to some people some of the time in some places, but then not affecting people in other places, or in the same place at different times.  You try to guess what is going on.  Hasn't happened to me.  Maybe it's my iTunes 7.5, or maybe it's luck of the draw since I never use iTunes radio.

Oh, don't expect Apple to say anything about this -- that's not their style.
