Little Challenge --How to give or restrict TRX in derive roles !

Want to give 10 trx in 2 derive roles and 15 in another 2 derive roles from same Parent role-Any method to do so?One I know is to give additional 5 Trx access through manually Adding TCD in remaning 2 derive roleANY other way to give or restrict so that tabs should not be in manually or changed mode?

Excellent answer from Juluis. Also the way you want to do this is conflicting with the Ref-Derive role concept.
I can add/modify some thing to the previous two answers.
One point I want to make clear that you mentioned as quoted above. Do you mean to say that the S_TCode will not be in changed mode (_or_ need not to add S_TCode manually) in Profile generator?
If Yes, then please check the following approach:
1. Create your first parent role and pair of derived roles with 10 Tcodes.
2. Create one role as per the concept of Transaction role - value role. That means, the role will contain those 5 TCodes in the menu but will not contain any authorization (except S_TCODE, all objects should be deactivated).
3. Then create one composite role with these two (one derive role of the pair and the other single role).
if No, then follow this approach:
1. Follow step one of above.
2. Create one generic role without any menue entry. Add TCode manually in authorization tab and then 5 TCodes there.
3. Create another role (value role) [let me know if you need details concept on this] and maintain the authorization of those 5 TCodes here together with org. values.
4. Create composite role by using these three roles (one derive role from the pair, one generic transaction role and one value role).
But please note that the menue entry should not be maintained in the derive role in any circumstances and if you do then you are no longer maintaining SAP Ref-Derive role concept.

Hi Dharmendra,
Please set an authorization trace in ST01 and then ask the user to execute the transaction and the steps on the same application server as the o ne on which the trace has been set (valid in case we are talking about mutiple application servers for same <SID>). After this is done switch off the trace,list it and fill all the authorization objects. That might give you the perfect idea.

The system does not check the authorization for document types that are not assigned an authorization group.
Procedure
In Customizing for Financial Accounting, carry out the activity Maintain Enter an authorization group in the document type. You then assign autho For each document type, you can specify whether users are required to enter.
The same for check of the authorizations of gl accounts.
PLease check in OMR4 and in OBA7 that for the document types the athorizations groups are maintained.
F_BKPF_BLA Accounting Document: Authorization for Document Type
F_BKPF_BES Accounting Document: Account Authorization for G/L Account.
For example:
The transaction FB01 includes the above objects - you can see this in Trx. SU24, also as transaction F-02 is a parameter transaction with the original being FB01 these objects would be valid for F-02 also.

Hi,
You can not set the No of Lines per page in the SCRIPT programetically, but here is the way to count the lines per page and you can restrict the lines per page also, just count the Total lines of all winodws in that page, lines mean The length of the windoe, lets say all the window lenghts are 20cm, then 20 lines will be printed. and you can convert this lenght cm to Lines also in the script. by converting the lenght Cm tyo lines you can count and reqtrict ..

are you working under Analysis Auth (BI7) or Reporting Auth (BW 3.X)?
If you work with the new concept you can restrict your authorization by using theinfoobjet: 0TCAIFAREA.
before you Add 0TCAIFAREA as an external hierarchy characteristic to 0INFOPROV also when you restrict your auth by infoprovider you can choose the infoarea hierarchy

I have a young son who is on my iCloud family sharing program... I am excited to be able to share SOME of my music in my iTunes library, but there are some songs and music videos that are not age appropriate for him and currently there is no way to restrict him from viewing and downloading anything off of my iTunes library. Yes, I suppose I can delete the songs he shouldn't have access to, but I don't think I should have to do that... I paid for them and still like them and listen to them while I work out or am without my kids. Is there a way for me to personally select which songs/videos I would like to "hide" from my children in an effort to shield them from inappropriate content?

I have created a 'Z' application which consists of create, change and display User interface.Whenever the user selects craete all fields go editable, change will have some fields editable and display all uneditable.I used only one view and i handled all three modes using invisible and enable property.

I hope you are aware of authority checks in ABAP in general. In your scenario, what you can do is: create one context attribute IS_AUTHORIZED of type WDY_BOOLEAN.
And in WDDOINIT of the component controller or view controller,
do the authorization check using AUTHORITY-CHECK stmt and if the check fails i.e. sy-subrc is not equals to 0, then
set the attribute IS_AUTHORIZED to false. Otherwise set it to true.
And you have to bind the enabled property of the buttons to this context attribute IS_AUTHORIZED.
Please refer to the following code sample:
    DATA lo_nd_selection_type TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
    DATA lo_el_selection_type TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
    lo_nd_selection_type = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_flex_config ).

It's actually quite easy.
What you have to do is write a custom tree cell renderer which extends DefaultTreeCellRenderer. In that class, your getTreeCellRenderer() method should do something like the following:

Hi,
This is possible, using some of the events in the ALV.
You could use AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT event and call you form after say, a certain line count is reached on the list output.
MOVE 'AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT' TO gw_event-name.
MOVE 'AFTER_LINE_OUTPUT' TO gw_event-form.
APPEND gw_event TO gt_events.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'
       EXPORTING
            it_events                = gt_events[]
and define the form for each event as follows - this would be a dynamic call by the ALV.
*&      Form after_line_output
*       Form for the After Line Output Event in the internal table
*      --> rs_lineinfo
FORM after_line_output USING rs_lineinfo TYPE slis_lineinfo.
IF sy-linno eq v_linno.          "Defaulted value for line count
    perform write_footer.
    NEW-PAGE.

For lines per page:
rs_lineinfo-tabindex would give you the index of the current line in the list, which you could use to read the t_outtab table, and reduce the line count of items displayed on the earlier page.
There are a few other events too, like BEFORE_LINE_OUTPUT and END_OF_LIST which you can use as required and print the data.

In my requirement I am printing invoice line item details. In my program,I am printing 8 columns. How to give the constant space in my output.
My issue.: here am fetching Internal Excise Document Number (DOCNO) item number (zeile) plant (werks) quantity (menge) storage location (lgort) and so on.
when i am fetching the values from the table, the values are different from each and every rows. so nothing would be aligned properly into the column. For example, if the doc no is having 10 char,from item no all the values of the column is getting moved to right side. in my second row doc no is having only 2 chars. in this case every column value is moving left side. its looking like realigned and not good.
How do i give constant space for each and every column. so if the values are more or less it could not be moved to any side.
please hellp me to solve this issue.

check out ur tab positioning in paragraph format...any misalignment is their or not.
second thing you can do is checkout your printer i.e zebra printer or .matrix etc. your using sometimes misalignment happens
in printer..or print some sample values for verifying the root cause .

As the previous reply (casting the result) is the best solution here (separating model and view logic) but sometimes we do a shortcut.
may be it is not the best approach but it comes handy most of the time, this approach is also error-proven. we used it more than 2 years in large applications.
add the following code whenever you want to add message in UI be aware that we have add it in a jar and add that library to the model projects
FacesContext ctx = getFacesContext();
FacesMessage fm = new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR, msg, "");
ctx.addMessage(null, fm);
you just need to add jsf library to the model applications and replace msg with your message.
regarding throw jboException, it seems good most of the time but sometimes when you are in middle of the transaction it somehow ruin the flow of the transactions.
