Is that when syncing? If so, that means your iPod is being updated.

To get in Safe Mode, I clicked Firefox/Help/Restart with add-ons disabled. I suspect this was the wrong thing to do because “All add-ons have been disabled by safe mode.
Actually, I did not see any opportunity to click a RESET button on the Safe Mode start window.
When I first entered the above question, I think I had an opportunity to run some diagnostics. However, because my computer is so slow, I actually posted the question from another linux computer, so saw no need to run the diagnostics on that machine. How can I get back to those diagnostics

On my iPhone when I go on phone to view my contacts on the top left corner there is a circle with a arrow ( like a refresh icon ), just want to know what is it?
That's exactly what it does, refresh your contacts. As an example if you add a contact on your Mac or iPad and you use iCloud to sync them altogether, then this can be used to refresh the contacts on your iPhone.

How can i get ipod nano to get the lock icon off the top left corner?

I assume you have made sure the hold switch along the top of the Nano is set to Off?
If none of the 5 R's are able to resolve the issue, it's likely a hardware issue, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party service.

How do I get rid of this blue circle on the top left corner of my window?
I had just installed OSX mavericks for my macbook and now whenever I open up firefox there's a weird blue circle in the top left corner of the firefox window.
The problem appeared today after installing the latest update on MacOS 10.8.5 (which was out for a couple of days/weeks; I don't reboot my system that often). The auto-update of my Firefox is enabled so I don't know exactly when that got upgraded. Current version is 27.0.1. I have the minimalistic theme enabled "Default Mod 28" from http://gpopper.deviantart.com/.
When I switch to the default theme "Default 27.0.1" from Mozilla, there is no blue circle. When I switch back to the GPopper theme, the blue circle is there again. It is consistently. I would be great to have a Safari-like theme on Firfox, especially for the Bookmarks Toolbar, which is for my preferences too high in the default theme. -
The Apple logo in the top left corner was purple... why?
This is just a weird anomaly that I'd like to figure out. On March 7, I noticed the Apple logo in the top left corner of my screen had turned purple. Once it happened, I wasn't entirely certain it wasn't always like that, like maybe the black background I had was tinted purple, but wasn't noticeable elsewhere. (Plus, none of my friends that work for Apple had anything to say about it.)
Tonight, after working on my computer for a few hours, I looked up and the Apple logo was back to dark grey, so I know something weird was amiss.
I'm using the same exact background on all of my "desktops," and have been for months... did anyone else experience this? I can find nothing on it, but it seems really odd. The rest of the colors have been consistent, so it's not a display issue... and if it was, the screen shots wouldn't look different.
Obviously not important, but strange.
I have a MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum) 2.4gHz and use an external display.Weird, the same is happening to me on an 8 core mac pro. We changed the graphics card to a Nvidia a little while ago so I tought this might have to do with it but it did it before if I remember correctly. I also have a macbook pro and it doesn't happen on the macbook pro. We are only macs at the studio and I am the only one that this is happening. I know it is know the speakers close to the screen nor the screens themselves, cause I tried a bunch of different screens. I remembered trying out Istatsmenu a little while back and the color scheme of that app was purple. Maybe that has something to do with it... but the other day the apple logo was greenish/gray. It doesn't do anything, system is running fine, it's just weird... anybody has an answer?

I have been wondering what that Small white square is that appears in top left corner of some Quicktime movies I make? When I export to Flash and upload, or even just upload to Vimeo an H.264 file, there it is, little white square. Final Cut Pro 7.0.2., Quicktime Pro 7.6.6, Quicktime Player 10.0...Solved it by de-installing Adobe Flash Player plug-in and installing it again. All good now

Since about 2 weeks ago for no apparent reason, the internet on my iPad suddenly stopped working (when I open Safari, it says: "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet"), even though the Wifi icon in the top left corner still shows full signal. However, I noticed when I went into Wifi settings (Settings>Wifi) that there is no checkmark next to my network name (only the spinning circle icon, as if it's trying to process something). This only happens at home (I can browse the internet while connected to Wifi at university). My other Apple devices (MacBook Pro and iPhone 4S) work perfectly fine at home.
I've tried resetting my router, restarting my iPad, resetting Network Settings on my iPad, and tried following Hynes' instructions on this thread:https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2453187?start=15&tstart=0, but nothing has worked so far (although I have to admit that I found the instructions on that thread somewhat confusing, so there is a chance that I accidentally did not follow them properly).
Could someone please help? It'd be VERY much appreciated. -

ANy help appreciated!Regarding the "No Service", I'm guessing that you have an iPad with WiFi + cellular. The "No Service" indicates you are out of a cellular service coverage area. You can use your internet because you are connected by WiFi.

you can try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait fro the phone to boot back up.

the green button, top left corner of a pop-up screen on MACbook, it's supposed to enlarge the pop-up to full MAC screen size, correct? Mine does not. Sometimes it makes the pop-up screen SMALLER. Appreciate someone solving this for me.
Are you talking about the green '+' button in the top left corner? That technically doesn't enlarge it. It switches the window from the default window size to the custom size you made. You can enlarge the window by moving your mouse to the bottom right corner of the window, and dragging until you get the size you want.

Whenever I reply to an e-mail the window comes up but without the paper airplane in the top left corner. The only way to send the reply is to close it and save as a draft. Then I can pull it up from Drafts and it has the airplane on it.

I was just installing windows 7 onto my MacBook Pro. I selected to have 200GB for Windows and the rest leave for Mac.
I clicked install and the bar filled up as it should do. However, once the install had completed, my MacBook turned itself off. I assumed this was normal. Now, my MacBook has a black screen with a white flashing underscore in the top left corner.
What is wrong and what should I do?Hold down the Option key when starting up then on the sceen that comes up select Mac OS X to boot from.
The Win 7 install didn't go well and is hung in some way. You should use boot camp assistant to remove the win partition and start over.
Make sure you are using a Retail version of Win 7. A Branded OEM version, like ones from Dell and HP, will NOT work to install Windows 7 on your Mac. -
How do I get the orange firefox button to show up on the top left corner of my page?
So, I've installed, and reinstalled the new Firefox 4. It seems like only half the features have shown up. For example, I don't have the orange firefox button in the top left corner. I also don't have the button for bookmarks. On every other machine that I've installed firefox 4 on has not had issues like this. I don't know why I'm having issues on my laptop. If there's a way to fix it, I would appreciate it. I don't mind how it is right now, but I do like the cleaner look and the orange firefox button, instead of the buttons that show up now that are labeled: "File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, etc."
* You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
* If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

I have tried several times tonight to update my blog, but it's not getting to my home page. Here's what I'm doing: 1.) I'm publishing the page to the site folder on my desktop. I'm previewing it and it's fine. 2.) I'm using Filezilla to transfer the
