Little man and camera shows up when I boot up my computer on my screen.
I sent my Powerbook G4 into Apple because my speakers had started to not have the volumne they had before. All I know is that they replaced my hard drive and my speakers are not any better....and I had Tiger installed and it came back with Panther.
Ever since, when I boot, I get this little man and a camera come on when I boot up my computer.
My spotlight doesn't work...I can't find files.
I wonder what the problem can be.
Any nice person out there have any ideas?

Hey--I've been having the same problem--grey screen with 'happy mac' alternating with '?' on folder icon during start up. Start up never completes. It just hangs there forever.
I'm thinking my startup problems are related to downloading iTunes 6.0 last week. I had iTunes 4.0 befor, but after receiving an iPod Nano for Christmas I downloaded the more recent iTunes. Ever since then my iMac would freeze up after just a few minutes of use. A few days later it began "sticking" during startup.
So that's where I'm at right now.
Anybody have any ideas?
Can I reload the OS X system software while it's frozen in startup?
In doing so will I lose all data?
Or can I retrieve my data after reloading this software?

Hello, I have updated my iphone4s to iOS7 and now I cannot close any of my apps - I double click on button and they show but when I press hand hold the icons do not shake so i can not delete them
You don't press and hold them. Just swipe up.

all of sudden my iphone 4s any picture I take outside I cannot forward via email or text and I can only see it, in the camera roll. When I try to open the picture full screen it is blank. Anyone have any ideas to fix it?
Close out of the camera app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your camera roll again. -
I recently updated my 20-inch, Mid 2007 iMac with the latest OS 10.8.5 now my external hard drives will not show up. They show up when I boot them up on a machine running and earlier OS. Is there a fix for this?
Can you see them in Disk Utility?
If so, can you select and Mount them?
If not, disconnect them, reset the iMac's SMC and then reconnect them.

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
If you still can not see them, connect them back up to the iMac running the older OS, open Disk Utility and look to see how they are partitioned and formatted. -
I did force shutdown on my MacBook Pro (2006 year, 15.4"), so, when I tried to boot, it shows apple logo (as usual) and shuts down. When I booting MacBook with Option key pressed it shows lock icon and field for password. Please help me.
Wait for advice on repairing a damaged filesystem. Forceshutdown stops processs in mid-stream and leaves some parts not-valid.
Do not proceed until you get that avice. -
Why is the decline button for phone calls not available when the phone is locked? I need that button and it shows only when the phone is not locked on iOS 7
Yep. You need to touch the sleep/power button once to silence the ring, and twice in order for the call to go directly to Voicemail.

They show in the camera roll, just not your computer?

YOU can't fix it. But you can bring it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement for $199.

I have had it for 2 weeks now, got it brand new at the apple store, it freezes all the time, and reboots itself, sometimes when i start it, purple dots cover the screen and i have to hold the power button. a 2 week old computer is not supposed to do this! it wastes all its time being so flashy that it just craps out all the time. sometimes i feel like i should have stayed with my virus covered PC. at least when it shut down randomly you could turn it back on, but with the macbook pro, it just keeps restarting itself over and over. need help with this, any answers?
Here's a novel thought. Take it back to the vendor. Should have done that one week ago.

Using Airport Express for External speakers and Apple TV. When I'm on MAC computer adn using internet sound from Internet does not go through external speakers. Instead it comes out of Mac computer speaker. Why?
As far as I know, the Airport Express only transmits sounds via Itunes. So every other sound (internet, but also incoming mail) will be coming out of your mac instead of your external speakers.
