Little moon on the main screen

Hi everyone, I just saw my friend's Iphone 4 (with ios 5) has a little white round thing like a full moon sign on her main screen. She can drag and click open the moon and when it is opened, there are arrow and button (like the main button on the middle lower part of iphone ). She can also make lines which connect one app to another app by using buttons in that little moon type thing. I don't know what it is called and why I don't have it on my Iphone? ( I have iphone 4 too and with ios5).
Can anyone explain what it is and how to get it?

Have you tried holding the MENU and SELECT (center) buttons until you see the Apple logo to reset the iPod?

How do you get back to the main screen? My little movie screen is not in the top right corner as it usually is... ever since it unexpectedly shut down. I can not edit it anymore and the screen is in the middle and the clips and sound are separated underneath. PLEASE HELP THIS PROJECT IS DUE TOMORROW AND I WAS ALMOST DONE

my limited experience tells me that different magazines work differently.
try double clicking the home button and then swiping the magazine image up off the top of the screen

Lion Internet Re-Install jumps back to the main screen

Hi all,
I have a 2011 Macbook Pro Unibody here. The HDD went bye-bye so I replaced it and attempting the Lion Internet recovery with little success.
I booted the Mac with CMD+R and the internet recovery loads up.
From the main screen (where you can select Disk Utility / Reinstall etc.) I selected the Disk Utility and erased the HDD and reformatted it for the OS X installation.
Back to the main screen I choose the install OS X Lion option, choose the HDD and klick trough the ToS. I then get the progress bar for the download but nothing happens for a few minutes, then the window closes and jumps back to the main window where you can select Disk Utility / Reinstall etc.
I do not get an error message or anything.
Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your MacBook Pro. If you are able to boot from Internet Recovery but are unable to reinstall OS X to your primary HDD (fails silently), you may want to try creating an external OS X installation/Recovery System on an external volume. This will help isolate the issue to either the internal HDD or the Recovery install process, and will provide a seperate Recovery System from which you can try to reinstall to your internal HDD. Minimum screen size exceeds size of the main screen

Everytime that I modify the VI Properties, I get an error message when I click OK, "The minimum screen size you set exceeds the size of the main screen". But I have the minimum size already set to the current window size by using the button, 'Set to Current Window Size'. My window size is 1130X860. If I click OK in the error message, my VI works fine. But why did I get the error message? I can make the error message not appear if I set the minimum window size significantly less than my current window size. But I don't want to allow users to make the window smaller than the current size.
If I create a new VI, the new VI doesn't have the same problem. So, it isn't a problem with my installation. I've played with all of the window size and other settings in VI Properties, but I couldn't find a setting that would fix this error message.
I'm using LV 8.0.1 on XP.
Any ideas?

I played with this a little bit and it seems like this might just be a bug in LabVIEW 8. You say that this only happens in one of your VIs but it happened with me in every VI that I opened in LabVIEW 8. It doesn't seem like this error message should affect anything in your application though. It's still restricting the window to the appropriate size. I also tried this out in LabVIEW 8.20 and the error message doesn't come up so it looks like it was fixed in this version of LabVIEW.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

How do I get a "PLAY ALL" button on the main screen for iDVD?

I spent a lot of time creating a DVD with pictures and music, and the main screen when I play the DVD shows all of the different scenes, but when I click on one of the scenes, it won't continue to the next one. I have to individually plan every scene in order to watch the whole DVD, rather than just clicking on the first scene and letting it play through. How do I make it so that I can either create another button that will play the whole DVD through or make it so that it continues to the next scene after the previous one is finished??

You can't create a 'play all' button with iDVD. All your separate scenes are separate movies as far as iDVD is concerned. You need to assemble all you separate scenes into one movie in iMovie and then insert chapter markers if you want separate entry points.
Apple's pro DVDSP does let you link movies to obtain a play all function.

HT4623 I have an older IPAD and it is no longer allowing me to see general settings, it flicks out of programs and goes back to the main screen. Is it time to throw it away?

Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country. Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are.
Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music.

You need to help us first ...
Computer specs:
OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

Is there a way to have an external monitor dim like the main screen on an iMac?

i have an apple 24 inch external monitor attached to a 27 inch imac. the main screen dims according to the energy saver settings but the external monitor stays bright. there seem to be no settings in the energy saver pane in system settings to control the dim function, any suggestions?

could you not just connect it with the vga adapter and then turn the brightness of your screen all the way down so there is no light? i had to do that for my ibook g4 when i cracked the lcd, but thankfully i have my macbook now.

Look into what security software you are running and disable it and also go to apple.com/support and search for
itunes store connection issues by actually typing that into the bar next to support then scroll down to one of the TS articles and begin a jounrey of internet explorer configuration.
