Little stuttering on 3e monitor

After installing a 2 videocard to play the 3e monitor and some help from the forum this works principally.
One problem in this setting stay's. It looks if ones or twice per seconde the picture on the monitor "freezes" shortly, or plays back two frames, as what you see if you split a clip, and insert two frames  so it looks if shortly the same action is seen on the clipcut.  Or playing a NTSC clip in a PAL setting.
This is most seen in horizontal action, f.i walking person of moving camera. This is not seen on the sourcemonitor of PPRO 5.5, so it should someting to do with the 3e monitor or the videocard.
Anyone suggestion what that can be? Thanks
Chris

If your project contains audio clips as well as video clips, you might be seeing the slowdown that occurs when the project contains many audio clips.
More about the problem here, with workarounds:

The precise number of audio clips that causes this problem seems to vary from Mac to Mac. As few as 30 audio clips has been reported.
The project I just tested plays poorly except in Full Screen mode. That wasn't true in the others I tested, but apparently Full Screen does work for some projects. So what I see here is consistent with your experience.

  • A little help about multiple monitors...

I’ll try to explain what I need help on in the simplest way possible.
I connected my macbook pro to another LCD monitor I have at home. That way when I work on sites I can have one thing on my monitor and another thing on my Mac. My question is...
I see that on WINDOWS the whole program (Dreamweaver or Photoshop, illustrator blah blah blah) is in one window. Which means I can drag it on one monitor or back to the other. How do I make those programs get on one window like WINDOWS(OS). I can drag my browsers, iTunes, steam and other applications between each monitor but I cannot do it with the adobe products.
    Any help?

Hi sppanch007. Welcome to the Adobe user-to-user forums!
You can certainly drag components of the Dreamweaver application, such as panels (and panel groups) and document windows and drag them between your monitors.
In doing this, you could create a custom workspace that has all the panels and such in the desired locations and then save it by going to Window > Workspace Layout > New Workspace.
There is a "Dual Screen" layout you could try to give you a starting point.
A little more info about re-arranging the workspace:

If you want the application to function differently, such as to have its own application frame (like applications on Windows do), then please let the Dreamweaver development team know:

  • OS "Stutters" after screensaver/monitor sleep

I know this sounds incredibly odd, but just recently whenever I bring my mac out of a screen saver or if the monitor has gone to sleep, the entire system will stutter until I restart the system.
Even the harddrive will have noticeable "pauses" in spinning when retrieving information.
Has anyone encountered this or have a fix? I haven't added or changed anything recently on my system.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Are you sure it is happening when you are using only Screen Saver and not Energy Saver? I've seen this happen on Energy Saver alone. Screen Saver is activated by Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Desktop & Screen Saver. Energy Saver is activated by Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver.

  • IOS 8 - Photos app bug - "stuttering" effect on Year view

    Hi Folks,
On the iPhone6 Plus 128GB with iOS8.1.3 (with 15000 photos inside several years go), I notice that when using the Photos native app in the “Year view” (yearly mosaic view), if I scroll up or down slightly fast, the scrolling that you get has a little “stuttering” or “jerking” effect, so the UI is not perfectly smooth in this view inside Photos native app.
Have you noticed it in your own iPhone's with iOS8.1.3. and also having a huge size photo callery as I have (>10000 photos spread in several years)? (I think that is it very important, because if you have not a huge photo gallery, probably you will not see the “stuttering” or “jerking” effect that I am describing).
I think this is a bug which impacts iOS User eXperience, which needs to be fixed.
    Thanks by your feedback!

  • External monitor not recognized!

I have a Philips 180P2 external monitor hooked up to my iMac 2.8 GHz, 24", which was running fine until my upgradte to SL this afternoon. Now (among other little "quirks") the external monitor can't recognize the signal from the iMac ... or rather, the iMac won't display there...
What's odd is that I had, for example, Safari on the external monitor and, when I start that browser, it won't show as it running on the external Philips monitor ... which isn't running (yes, power is on and cable is plugged in). When I unplug the monitor adapter from the back of the iMac it switches to one-display mode again and Safari is shown on the iMac.
The system preferences show the monitor and its position fine ... what's going on?!
Any and all help is REALLY appreciated. Thanks!

I've had similar problems (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2132912&tstart=0) with my second monitor. When I downgrade the display of the external to 1600x1000, then the internal monitor of the imac to 1600x 1200, the display on the external is not very good. However, if I then revert the external to 1680x1050 and the internal to 1900x1200 I can get both back to what things were before updating to snow leopard. However, when I then switch off the imac for a while and then switch back on again the external switches back and forward between no display and a fleeting glimpse of the desktop.

  • Recommendations for external monitor in combination with USB 3.0 dock and X1 carbon touch

    Dear Community,
I'm waiting for my X1 carbon touch and USB 3.0 dock and keyboard/mouse to arrive any time soon. However, I'd be glad to get some help/recommendations on external monitor choice.
For instance, the new HP envy 27" caught my eye, since it includes speakers, but it comes with HDMI and Displayport connections only. As far as I understood, video connection itselft shouldn't be a problem using a DVI to HDMI adaptor, but how about the resolution of the X1 vs. a HD+ monitor, and how do I use the audio on this monitor (don't want to use the microphone jack in front of the dock, as it should look as minimalistic as possible)?
Is there a solution? via usb 3.0? or should I better consider another monitor? Anyways, DVI or HDMI, I don't want to connect a separate audio system to the dock. Any recommendations, or is it one of those gadgets that  has not been thought through well enough and you need to wait for the next generation to be developed?
    Many thanks for your help,
    Cheers, jcd

Since you don't want to use the jack on the dock, you could usethemini-DisplayPortontheX1cTouchasyourvideooutputoption because the version of DP on the X1c Touch includes the ability for audio to streamed over the DP connection in addition to video. This would require a compatible DP monitor.
You'll also want the monitor to support audio over the DP connection. The X1c Touch's graphics supports the output of an audio stream over DP and the machine should be be capable of this. This gives you two cables connecting to the X1c Touch -- the DP cable for audio and video and the USB 3.0 cable connecting to the dock. The dock would be attached to keyboard, mouse, USB accessories, and Ethernet (if necessary).
As far as what to look for in a monitor, my general recommendation is Dell Ultrasharp. They tend to be a good deal for an IPS monitor with at least an sRGB gamut and a solid warranty. I've never bothered to attempt to stream audio over DP because I have separate speakers for audio. In the same way that my last 3 laptops have been ThinkPads, my last three monitors have been Dell Ultrasharps. The graphics in the X1c Touch should be fine running a 1920x1080, so I wouldn't worry about resolution. It can be a little jarring to use monitors side-by-side when they have different pixel densities, so you'll likely end up treating them as separate display surfaces. I often have e-mail and Pandora open on my T420's screen while I'm doing the bulk of my work on my main monitors. If you think you'll be touching the screen a good bit, then you might want to look into buying a touch capable monitor. Otherwise your brain can become easily confused because it'll begin to think that all computer screens are touch-capable and you'll reach out and try to touch your desktop monitor without thinking.

  • External LCD Monitor - Older MBP

I have an older Macbook Pro, 2.16 C2D. The Graphics Card in it is an ATI Radeon X1600. I want acquire an external LCD monitor and I want to get one that is at least 1920x1080. Will I be able to use an HD monitor with my MBP and will it still look normal? Thanks.

The very first MBP (CD 2.16) supported external monitors up to 2560x1600,(such as the Apple 30") psiforce. So does the C2D with ATI Mobility Radeon X1600. See http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/stats/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2 .16-15-specs.html

  • Hardware monitor calibration

My imac (2007 20" 2.4Ghz) has been calibrated yesterday. The tool was getrag. The software was eye one match 3. All ok, but the blue is less. The calibrationer man (sorry the bad english ) sad for me:
"the calibration is done, but we must calibrated very little the Blue in monitor."
But on imac isn't any button for this feature. (no OSD menu, etc...).
My Q.: how can we modified the blue in imac? Everything else is OK.
here is the result after the calibration.
    http://kepfeltoltes.hu/view/090317/360133181Picture2_www.kepfeltoltes.hu.png

No, no The calibration software work on max.!
I know, the 20"imac (TN) panel is wronger as the 24"imac (S-IPN) panel. But it would have been good, if I can modify posteriorly the RGB. Then my monitor's colour would have been perfect.
So: The answer is for my quest. is: noways.
But never mind! Thanks for your help!

  • Monitor hinge problem?

I got one of the brand new 21.5 models last month, and in my respects am very happy with it - pleasingly zippy and with no stuck pixels at all, which makes for quite a nice change. But I'm getting a little worried by the monitor hinge - it seems noticeably looser than my previous iMac and I have a regular sensation that the top of the monitor has tilted forward (or the bottom has tilted back, depending on how you look at it), so I keep fiddling with it. It's not massively obvious - I don't see any movement or tilting actually taking place, for example - so it's hard to be sure to what extent I'm simply imagining it, but...is this a known issue with these machines? Should I be concerned?

A slightly belated thank you. The screen feels fairly firm under my finger but I still have a strange sensation of the screen tilting forward over time. However, it may simply be an optical illusion - perhaps there is some subtle difference in the dimensions or orientation of this model that is confusing my eye. In any case, it doesn't seem a serious enough problem to warrant a trip to my nearest Apple service provider (about 15 miles away).

  • Application monitor node display off

    Hi All,
I am using SRM 4.0. Strangely I am running into lot of troubles in SRM since yesterday as there was a mess up in the batch jobs.
Now, we are having an issue with Application monitor. It is not showing any error message in ITS, but I could see some error messages in RZ20. In ITS, when I click on "Display all" under purcashe order or confirmations in application monitor, it used to show the errors or it will say no error. But now it is showing GUI - RZ20 screen with a message "Node Display off".
I have tried by restarting the Application monitor, but it didn;t help.
Could you please help me to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Arun

  • Monitor blacks out while using

I have a Norwood Micro flat screen monitor. I have had recent problems with it going black while working. If I turn off the monitor and then turn it back on it works fine for awhile and then I continue this little game with the monitor throughout. Needless to say it is annoying. Other times it works fine without any issues. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the monitor or the computer? Is there some way I can check it?

  • Leadtek A280 TD (TI-4800SE) Multiple monitor support not available on

    Hello,
I have a new Leadtek Winfast A280 TD MyVIVO card (TI-4800) on a MSI K7N2G-ILSR (nForce2 motherboard). Completely fresh installation of XP pro with nothing except the nForce 2 motherboard drivers and the latest (43.45)drivers. I know that the internal nForce IGP is disabled when an AGP card is inserted.
I have two LG 1710S (VGA connector only monitors), both plugged into the A280, one in the VGA port and the other one into the DVI port using a DVI-to_VGA converter.
The problem is that I cannot use my second monitor at all. When booting it displays a cloned inage, but once in XP the second display (on the DVI) goes blank and stays blank. Nothing I can do with nView or the drivers will make
it work (or even be detected) in any way at all.
    Three key points:
    1. nView Desktop Manager -> Windows -> Window control is all greyed out.
    2. Desktop -> Properties -> Settings shows only one monitor with none of the 'Extend my windows desktop' options one normally sees with dual head cards.
    3. Desktop -> Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> GeForce -> nView display mode ->nView modes only the Standard (Dualview) option is available and the graphic shows only one screen.
I am reasonably experienced with multiple monitors having used Matrox cards for years and setup a nice little Shuttle SN42G dual monitor system using the same nVidia drivers. So I am fairly sure I've not overlooked a setting somewhere.
BIOS is all fully up to date (1.3) and XP SP1 is applied. The card works fine in 3D games and everything, but just does not seem to realise it has a second monitor.
    *** KEY POINT ***
I am worried that the MSI K7N2G-ILSR motherboard is somehow preventing the support of dual monitors with my A280 card in WinXP because it itself does not support dual monitors with the IGP. This may not be true, but I have to post my experience into this forum.
    *** KEY POINT ***
    Thanks,
    James Burton

Okay. I figured out what was going wrong. Nothing to do with the MSI or the motherboard but it is of interest to anyone wanting dual monitor on two LCD flat screens.
It turns out that the A280 graphics card (and probably other nVidia cards) do not detect LCD monitors (at least by default) in the secondary position.
This was verified when I connected an normal CRT as secondary an it all wored fine.
Further discussions will be posted in the nVidia newsgroup for those interested

  • Stuttering magic move transition, has anyone the same problem?

I use Keynote 6 on a brand new macbook pro with retina screen (the most havy one). Has anyone the same problem: a little stuttering of the magic move transitions. It looks like if the movements are carried out on a rough surface. It is a small effect but it gives a low quality appearence.

Thanks for the feedback,Gary. Of course this may be the case, but it doesn't explain why a brand new MacBook Pro does a worse job than a over 3 years old MacBook Air (although the MBP is set at 1680x1050 and the MBA is at 1440x900 default resolution).
I tend to do all transitions at high speed, max. 0.5-0.75 seconds for a transition, often less (0.1-0.4 seconds) for an object build, to get a 'cinematic' effect, as Apple calls it.

  • New Monitors Recommendation

    Hey Kids...
Time to get new a new monitor to run through a Matrox MXO as a second screen for editing and color correction. I was going to get another 23" Cinema Display but I guess I missed Apple dumping them. I am on a Mac Pro with a Radeon HD3870 card and apparently there is no way for me to use the new 24" with the mini display port (as far as I can see)...and I don't feel like popping for a 30".
I like to use Apple stuff but not being able to use an Apple display with an Apple Box is absurd. So any recommendations on a great display (or two) for what we do in post?
    Thanks for your suggestions...

    Shane,
Thanks for the the answer (the Dell 2408 seems to be a pretty good choice). And you are right...
I am not going to do broadcast.
I do have budget limitations (since it's my shop and capitol budgets these days are, well, you know...).
I do indeed produce training and promotional films so the MXO is actually a very nice little solution for HD monitoring.
And don't worry about our "off topic" friend's snarky little comments. I get a kick out of people who feel the need to dump on what they perceive as inconsequential little operations like mine.
I ran across little popinjays like this in my first career (where I produced, oh, maybe 500 network spots over the years) for everybody from Universal Studios to Blockbuster to Royal Caribbean Cruise Line). I tended to ignore irrelevant comments and disdain people like this who did not answer the question that was asked...and I shall keep doing so.
Again thanks for the on topic response

  • CS:GO stuttering

Hello, is here someone who is playing CS:GO on Arch? I'm getting a little stuttering in game. May be this caused by internet connection or not? I'm seeing fps drops too.
    My specs:
    AMD FX-6100
    2x4 GB RAM
    GTX 660
i've tried combine with video settings. Multi-core rendering helped a little bit, but the stuttering is still present. I just want to now whether you are having the same situation.

I've just noticed that after disabling steam overlay is better now, but it's still stuttering only in online games or when i unlock an achievment on steam. L4D2 stutters too. Besiege, War Thunder, Portal 1 and 2 run just fine...
EDIT: stuttering was caused by vsync. I've disabled it and limit fps in console to 60 and now i can play the game on max details without laggs
