Little Typo in German Spotify Version

Hey Guys, for my understanding, there’s a little logical typo in the German language of the Spotify client. A German phrase equivalent to “You are playing from: …” wouldn’t be “Wiedergabe aus: …”, it would be more like “Wiedergabe auf: …”.Exactly the phrase “Wiedergabe aus: …” means “Playing from … (a playlist)”, where the phrase “Wiedergabe auf: …” means “Playing on … (a sound device)”. Because it shows the device, where the sound came from, the (only) correct German phrase is “Wiedergabe auf: …”. For my as native German speaker this looks pretty much like my English (possible) looks for you ;-)

For my standpoint of the German language (I'm just a native Austrian speaker), "Wiedergabe auf [device name]" (="Playing on [device name]) sounds absolutely correct, and is exactly what it is. “Wiedergabe von …” has multiple meanings. Yes, it could mean “Wiedergabe von [device name]”, but also “Wiedergabe von [Song Titel]”. But – and that’s the really important aspect of its meaning – on pairs of receivers and transmitters, “von” and “auf” have their well-defined meanings. On receiver side, the correct assignment of an input would be “Wiedergabe von [transmitter device name]”. On transmitter side, the correct assignment of an output is “Wiedergabe auf [receiver device name]”. So it depends only on the fact, do you transmit it to another device, or receive it from another device.
