Live Cache 7.5. Installation SCM4.1 ERROR MDB-070020

Hi,
we`re trying to install live cache 7.5.00.21 on SCM 4.1.
(Maxdb version of normal db is 7.6.05.09).
We had an other version installed before, which we deleted because of other errors.
Now we`re getting the following error message - any idea?

Sure - how did you uninstall the former installation?
rm -f /sapdb/<DBSID> ??
To correctly uninstall a MaxDB/liveCache you'll always have to use the SDBUNINST tool.
Since there seems to be another installation on the same server, it's now a bit complicated to clean up the registration mess... You should open a support message for that. Then we'll see what we can do here.

  • Live Cache Monitoring. DBM_CONNECT DBM Error

    Hi Gurus,
I have Installed TM7.0 system which is on NW7.0 with EHP1 on windows server2003 and Oracle DB. i have also installed SCM optimizer.
after i installed Live Cache, in transaction LC10 i have maintained the data in integration tab. When i click the 'liveCache : monitoring' tab i get the following error.

    SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
please take a look at SAP note 990602, specifically point 11; use transaction DB59 to check the connection to your liveCache instance.
From the error message you receive, it seems likely that the integration data (user/password combination) for your liveCache instance is incorrect.

  • Hi having a problem upgrading SCM 4.1 APO Live Cache

Hi I am new to SCM and I came into a project that was already started, I am doing a SUM upgrade and its at the upgrade of Live Cache I need to run the report /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70 and perform all steps in section A. when I try to run the report it comes back "No shared library for the database with ID LCA" I checked LC10 and saw in the Settings that the database is still pointing back to the source system it was copied from. Like I said I walked into this in the middle the they are upgrading from SCM 4.1 to 7.0EHP3 on SQL 2012 and Windows 2012 so they built the 2012 Vm installed the Central services and when they installed the DB it was an attach / detach method and I installed the DB instance. Question should any of the file directories have come with the attach db there are no sapdb in the directories do I just install the live cache and that installs the maxdb and makes the directories /sapdb/ because I see them in the source system? I tried installing the live cache that came with the original system but it had errors.

    Hi All,
I went ahead with Option 0 and it asked me for Kernel file and i provided the files.
I checked logs in /sapdb/wrk directory and i see that Installation of SAP livecache finished successfully.
From LC10 i gave database connection name (LCA) and clicked on live cache monitoring and it comes back with an error

From the OS level i gave command dbmcli db_enum and i get OK as reply.
Can someone please let me know how to resolve this issue.

  • Live Cache - Domain/Work group

When installing Live Cache, does it have to be inherently part of a 'Domain' - or,
can it be in a local 'Work Group' ?

it is up to you, but domain installation offer more possibilities for central resource administration - file share access, configure logon groups via LDAP etc.
In generally if you plan more than one instance of live cache the domain installation might be preferable.

    HI there,
why don't you take a closer look to what is in the message?
    > Internal errorcode, Error code 9050 "disk_not_accessible"
    > 20017,RestartFilesystem failed with 'I/O error'
    > ERROR : Restart not possible (please check KnlMsg)
There is a problem with the liveCache disks.
This problem prevents that the liveCache can be started.
For more information you should look into the KNLMSG file.
Why don't you just do that?
The file will tell you what file is the problem and what kind of problem there is with the file.

    Can anybody please help?
    Thanks and regards,
    Vaibhav

    Hello Vaibhav,
while using transaction LC10, the error 11 "tp error: Terminating. [nlsui0.c ...]" occurs. The user authorization with tp fails and the application server cannot connect to the liveCache.
I assumed, that it's due to a library version mismatch, tp cannot use the liveCahe UNICODE libraries.
Please check, that the tp call at the command line works properly. And a dbmcli call in the transaction SM49 with the tp options
    (dbmcli ::
    -d <LC-SID> -n <LC-servername> -tpp <profile> -tpi <system-SID>
    -tpc <connection - LCA/LDA> dbm_version)
    works also properly.
I recommend you to update the liveCache client software on the Application server.
If you've got access to OSS/Service Market Place, then please take a look at note
649814 how to update the liveCache client software on the application server.
    < Please also review the SAP notes 847736 & 831108 >
Before the liveCache client version will be upgraded on the application
server you can use the workaround by switching off the central authorization for the liveCache LCA/LDA connections:
In transaction LC10, choose Integration and deactivate the option Central authorization, then save.
If you are the official SAP customer, I recommend you to create the ticket to SAP on 'BC-DB-LVC' queue.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Error saving transport requisition to live cache

    Hi Gurus,
while location heuristic running getting in bottom line message like error saving transport requisition to live cache.kindly suggest me soon.
    regards,
    babu

    Dear Rajendra,
The error message seems to occur during the deletion of the purchase
requisitions when running the heuristics. The error /SAPAPO/SNP028
occurs when SNP tries to access the order data whose master data has
been changed. So, when the order's master data has changed and no
longer represent the existing one, you get this error message.
    Please run the report
/SAPAPO/RLCDELETE before running the heuristics job manually to delete the inconsistent data.
So here the product 20508050 @ Mc5000-ZA59 the existing purchase
requisitions might not have anymaster data like Means of transport or PDS. Can you please delete
these inconsistent orders and run the heuristics again to check if
the orders are still created with inconsistent means of transport.
Also run consistenct reports /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK and OM17 and correct if any inconsistency is present.
    BR,
    Thushitha V.

  • Live cache COM routine ended with own error code 38

    Hi Experts,
the process chain got failed and it is showing the error as error 38.when we are doing the analysis the error itself coming in the extractin level and it is showing as errors in the source system and not more than that. Please gimme some solution how to solve it.

    Hello,
This is the object not found error for /SAPAPO/OM_PEGAREA
These error codes are generated if you try to access or manipulate an
object that cannot be found in the live cache (any more).
Normally this means that there is no object with the key (GUID) provided
    by the ABAP.
Please execute the transaction /SAPAPO/OM17 inorder to resolve the
    inconsistencies regarding missing pegkeys.

    ok, fixed it.
Putting the dtd on a machine that it can see solved it... would be nice if the doc mentioned that your test machine (the one that it warns is insecure as everything is installed as root etc etc) needs to have outgoing internet access...

    Chetan

    > Our Live cache log backup runs to tape, sometimes this may fail and our log area starts increasing, when we try to take a log backup uisng DBMGUI or DBMCLI we get below error.
Hmm... that is usually not the way it should work - I assume you're employing a third party backup tool here?
If not, than you definitively shouldn't create the log backup directly to tape.
Instead you should use the AUTOLOG backup to the filesystem and afterwards archive the backups to the tape.
    > ERR
    > -24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error
    > -104,DBM command impossible at this time
Well, it means what it says: for some reason (e.g. there is already a backup running) you cannot start the backup right now.
For more detailed answers we need to see the log files of the database.
    > Can you please help how to resolve this ?, since it is something critical for us during our business close end,
Hmm... what has your liveCache to do with your business (month?) end closing??
Anyhow, if something is important1, critical2 or urgent3 then the forum might  not be the place to go.
In such cases always open  a support message - there you've got guaranteed response times.
    regards,
    Lars
please don't blame me for adding the numbers to the three bad words above - this was the only way to get around the awkward content filtering of this forum

  • Unable to login to Live Cache

    Hi,
I've just completed an SCM 2007 Installation alongwith the live cache.
However, when I try to login to the LC using the dbmcli command (user control/superdba & the pwds. set during installation), it gives the foll. error:

Also, I'm not able to use LC10-->Live Cache Monitoring

    Thanks a lot,

    Hello Saba,
-> For SAP liveCache documentation in English see the SAP note 767598.
-> In general, the error could be due the wrong password of the dbm user.

control password. If I will try to connect to the database with wrong password
I will get this error ::
