Live corner as style

This long-awaited tool. Quickly create new shapes. Way to go!
I understand that for complex shapes of many different forms niepotarzalne live schmaty corners that are difficult to save as a graphic style.
But for an object that has changed corners symmetrically All segments should not be problems to save it as a graphic style as Efekts> Stylize> Round Corners.
Thank you for your current efforts.
Best Regards!

I just tried it and it appears there is no way that I can think of to kill the live effect. Expand does nothing.
Using the pathfinder, the live effect alters the corners on the new object.
However hold down alt/opt key with the minus front will give the shape you seam to be looking for.

  • Shape is Missing a Live Corner

    I have created a pie chart and ungrouped the slices.
    When I use the white arrow to select the slices, two of the shapes are missing a live corner widget in one corner.
    So, when I move the corners, some of the corners remain unchanged.
    Also, the large blue shape on the right will not change at all.

    ESCE,
    There seems to be something wrong with the two paths, maybe at those corners, possibly an assembly of Anchor Points.
    I believe you can see in Document Info (with Objects ticked) whether those paths are closed.
    You may try to click each troublesome corner with the Direct Selection Tool, then move by a certain amount (you may use one of the Arrow keys) and see what is underneath; you may always Undo.
    Or you may drag over a sound path and then a troublesome path and see in the Document Info whether the latter has more Anchor Points.

  • Live Corner and Subtraction Shape Issue

    Having problem in Live Corner with Subtraction shape.
    Not sure if there is any setting to work on this.
    Please refer to my image attached. When using Pathfinder to subtract round corner shape made from Live Corner it come out with unexpected shape. Base on my images A became B, it should be look like C.
    if I dont use live corner and instead using Round Corder effect than expend, it will be work correctly.
    Anyone experienced with this issue?
    I've just Update my Illustrator CC too, but still no luck.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Corner Stroke Styles

    Is there a way to add new corner styles? I'm talking about the corner of strokes like fancey or bevel or rounded.
    Thanks

    The radius of corner styles can be adjusted. Also, remember that any
    angled corner can have a corner style -- corner styles are not limited
    to squares and rectangles. However, it is not possible to add to the
    handful of built-in corner styles that come with InDesign, unfortunately.

  • FindChangeByList script to include Style Groups/sub Style Groups

    I've been using this function happily (with varying degrees of success & lots of trial and error) for a while now. I'm not a script writer, understand very little but manage to copy and paste, and hope for the best.
    This has served my wishes for the most part, but I have the need to apply a GREP search/replace to some text that needs to be styled with a paragraph style that lives inside a style group, inside another style group.
    Style group called 'Headings', inside which is a style group called 'News from Areas heads' inside which is a paragraph style called 'b head_red (News from areas)'
    I have picked up on helpful examples from others for applying a paragraph style that lives within one level of "Style Group", but don't know what the correct syntax to describe: a paragraph style within a folder, within a folder, within another folder might be?
    I did wonder if the choice of underscores and brackets in the paragraph style may not help.

    Hi Jarek
    Unfortunately I don't have much scripting knowledge, but to answer your questions
    1. paraStyle real name is "b head_red (News from areas)"
        - "b head_red" is used elsewhere. Why didn't I keep it simple?
    2. Do your findWhat string work in UI (run manually)?
        - yes, when I use normal GREP find/change it works okay.
    3. Do your FindChangeByList.jsx work with some simplier example?
        - yes, I use it often. The .txt file I'm working on at the moment already contains about 10 text/glyph changes which work fine. I have had success in applying a 'paragraph style' that is within a 'style group'. But this is the first time I've tried to apply a 'paragraph style' that is in a 'style group', within a 'style group'.

  • IE 8 seems to be less help for a rounded table corner...

    Hi, I'm using DW CS3 on an intel iMac and first, 2 things: I use tables to build my sites (there's some CSS around here and there + a couple of external style sheets etc) and secondly, the problem I'm asking about here does not seem to occur at all on Firefox and Safari - only IE 8.
    Also, I make simple 30 x 30 pixel Gifs (with transparency) to manufacture rounded table corners without CSS.
    Simply put, the bottom right part of the main white table is missing its smooth white line near the corner on some pages, so that there's a chopped off part near the corner.
    A couple of the pages look fine in IE 8, but the others have that chopped area.  And that is what perplexes me because I'm using a DWT Dynamic Web template for all the pages (except the single photo rendering pages in the DW-FW-generated photo Gallery). So why would some pages appear cohesive and the others cut out?
    Here's the site url: Http://www.clairefrazier.com
    Anyways, I appreciate any help on this. Many Thanks, Frank B.

    Try this and don't forget to get the HTC file for IE.

  • Live Corners Widget is missing in new download of AI 2014 x64

    I did not know a built in Widget could go missing in a app but here I am...
    I just downloaded most of the creative Cloud Apps just yesterday after a system crash, after which I wiped the drives including Users (Windows 7.1+ all updated and fresh.  Just got working in AI tonight and went for the live corner Widget and ,  and,..., It had disappeared.  No windows>Panel options,  Nothing in all references, tool bars, or content menus-with the sole exception of View/Hide Live Corners.  I clicked it back and forth: hide/show, hide-show, hide-show, nothing worked. (It was working just fine in the "Pre-Crash" install but in this install it is just--gone.  Is there a way to extract the component from the downloaded file and replace what is KO'ed in this install. Or should I re-install?. I  have been around computers for-jeep 1/4 century, so no need  the beginner, "did you plug it in yet?  kind of stuff. Unless-- I  forgot?  Every thing else is working just fine?
    Vital-P6T-V2 Asus MB, PNY3800 with 2 30 " Monitors, CPU I7-950 OC to $.2 Gh, 7 TB storage, 12 GB Corsair Vengence Tri channel RAM,
    Forever Grateful,
    DBellas

    DBellas,
    It may be time for the list, 6) being the ultimate one.
    The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

  • Live corners not showing

    Hi
    I have lots of forms from CS4 each had many boxes with 3 rounded corners and one square corner. In CS5 all the square corners changed to rounded corners. When I click on the box I do not see the yellow diamonds indicating live corners.  Is there any way to turn live corners on for these boxes?
    Thanks in advance

    Sounds like the square corner on those boxes was made using a trick that existed in older versions that doesn't work now.  I can't be totally sure because I never knew about it until recently and so I'm not sure how it works.  But if it was it would have broken the live corner options when you opened it in CS5.
    Anyway to answer your question, try going Object > Convert Shape > Rectangle.  I can't test whether it will work here or not but it should.

  • Live Corners - Can't move smaller objects

    Anyone else have a hard time moving smaller sized objects without adjusting the corners or distorting the shape of the object? Its driving me nuts.
    Is there a short key or something that temporarily deactivates the live corner function so you can move the object?
    Thanks.

  • Live Corners and Smart Guides

    I am so in love with the fact that live corners are a thing now in Illustrator. I have been waiting for this forever. Or at least, something close it. Unfortunately they're missing a major component that would unclock so many opportunities with them—the ability to interact with the live corner center points while using other tools.
    If, for example, smart guides recognize live corner center points, you could create circles with the ellipse tool from them that exactly matched the contour of the live corner. You could of course create additional shapes from that and continue to create really complex, completely accurate shapes, just because you have access to that one center point. Rotate other objects around it, scale objects to it, and so on.
    The current implementation is such a missed opportunity. Here's to hoping that in a near future version, other tools, like smart guides and normal guides, recognize the existence of these center points!

    Thanks! It did help! Such a pity I didn't know that the toggle thing can be enabled and disabled by a shortcut. And I was looking for direct "Live corners" function, but it is just named somehow differently in the View. Now everything is working, thanks again!

  • Cannot enable Live Corners in Illustrator CC

    I'm excited to use the new Illustrator Live Corner Feature but for some reason using the Direct Select tool does not bring up the live corners on any shape I make. I am using Illustrator CC 64 bit on a PC runnign Windows 7. Am I missing something?

    This is what I see with the direct selection tool selecting my shape .... I don't see the corner dialoge box or any of the stuff they show on the demo video...

    @unikum: Yes I have , and I can confirm that everything (apart from polyglossia) compiles flawlessly. It would appear with XeTeX the polyglossia package works but the BibLaTeX doesn't. With PDFTeX, BibLaTeX does work, but I see that polyglossia only works with XeTeX (my compiler also suggests LuaTeX but I'm not going to try it).
    I'm quite happy with how BibTeX works though I'm going guess that you use BibLaTeX for your own reasons.
    LaTeX itself works, I've been working on my MSc Dissertation, lectures notes and other bits, conveniently written in LaTeX, with a working BibTex bibliography. Have I had any problems after uninstalling TeXLive 2012 and then installing TeXLive 2013? NO.
    As for your second question, no. I will not repeat how I did the upgrade for a third time, so please read my previous posts.
    Edited after re-reading entire thread (things getting mixed up in my head ¬¬).

  • JQuery UI problem

    Hello everybody! I hope not to bug you do to my frequent question but without your help I simply do not get past these little problems I have.
    I've been reading a lot about the jQuery and jQueryUI liabraries today and also use them by referencing them on google.
    google.load('jquery', '1.3.2');
    google.load("jqueryui", "1.7.2"); What I'd ultimately like to have is a new "confirm delete" dialog that appears once the delete button is pressed. On pressing the button, a grey overlay should appear while the underlying divs are locked. In fact it should be like here:
    URLhttp://www.jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal-message[URL]
    The code is already partially working, which means that it displays the dialog and greys out the window once the page is loaded. Instead of being carried out on page load, it must be called when the "delete button" is pressed. However, I had no success calling the code from my delete button.
    Further more, I don't know exactly how to obtain the functionality of htmldb_delete_message,'MULTI_ROW_DELETE'; in the new dialog box.
    I hope you can follow me inspite of my poor English!?
    If you have an idea how the code needs to be tweaked for it to work as described please let me know! I'd really appreciate your help!
    A thousand thanks for your patience and effort,
    Sebastian
    Below is the code that I put into the HTML Header of my page. Somehow it has to be able to call the code instead and not have it running on page load...
    I'll try my best to find out, although I'm starting to get a little pessimistic about my success, since I've already tried it for hours!
    <script type="text/javascript">
         $(function() {
              $("#dialog").dialog({
                   bgiframe: true,
                   modal: true,

                        Ok: function() {
                             $(this).dialog('close');

                                                                that are combined together and engineered structurally so that each component works together.  Our

                                                                Nu-Steel Pre-Engineered buildings help you in erecting your structures easily and conveniently.
                                                                The structures are strong, easy to build and are also economically priced.  Many of our customers choose
                                                                to erect their buildings themselves.  All structural pieces come pre-drilled and pre-cut ready for
                                                                assembly - no welding required.  Nu-Steel buildings are shipped with user friendly manuals while the
                                                                knowledgeable staff can answer any questions you may have during assembly.  Pre-Engineered builings,
                                                                depending on complexity, are usually shipped within 4 - 6 weeks from the time the drafts are approved.

  • Blank Login Page after Upgrade from 4.0.2 to 4.1

    Greetings,
    I just upgraded one of my Apex environments from 4.0.2 to 4.1. After the upgrade, I tried to access the login url and I get a blank page. Nothing on it, just a white page. However, if I do a View Source, all the html code is there. I wonder if it somehow lost where the Image, CSS and Javascript files are located. I am using the Apex Listener running under Weblogic 10.3.3. The Apex Listener was just a standard install with the image location being '/i/'. I am not sure how to debug this. Any help would be appreciated. Here is a snippit of code from the View Source.

    I had the same behavior using apache mod/plsql the solution is:
    a) shutdown apache (opmnctl stop)
    b) unzip the APEX install file in a directory on the machine where apache is installed
    c) correct in the dads.conf the virtual dir /i/ to the "images" directory of the unzipped file
    d) restart apache (opmnctl start)
    bye
