Live drive ir drivers

first off, this site takes forever to load...secondly, where do i find drivers for this?! i have the original installation cd, but it is for win98. i have winxp. i need the drivers, and other stuff like audiohq. when i go to the driver support page, all i get is "upgrade drivers", where i must have the orignal installed. i need standalone drivers and the supporting programs for xp!!!! >:| >:|

Voodew42,
You need the Li'veDrvUniPack for Windows XP. Go to the download page and in the search section type in Li'veDrvUni and it will take you directly to it. I would suggest installing from the CD first and when Windows warns you that it was not for XP continue. Run the install and then reboot. Once it reboots run the Li'veDrvUniPack. This will replace the drivers and applications for the Li've! You may also want to download the updates to Playcenter and Creative Recorder.
The Li'veDrvUniPack is a stand alone update, but in order to have all the programs from the original install you need to use the CD.

  • What is the difference between Icloud and Live Drive?

I had purchased for me seperate storage space where by i could download music/pictures to my cyper drive and my Ipad would pick it up.  Is this Icloud or Live Drive?

That is livedrive. You cannot use icloud to keep your files online unless the files are generated using iworks. But, icloud is free from apple, 5 gb worth of space. Currently usage is pretty limited, cannot compare wth livedrive, dropbox or sugarsync.

  • I want to centralize my Itunes Media library to a Mybook Live drive.

I have bought a My Book Live drive as it said I coudl run an iTunes Server.  I want to be able to have one central Itunes Media location for all my music and apps etc.  So I have moved this to the My Book live.  When I open Itunes I see all my music under the LIBRARY and under SHARED/MyBookLive.  I don't see my apps or other items?  Also if I add a new album to my music library it shows up in both on the PC I add the music from but not on any of the other PC I have in my house.  So I want to have a simple solution with all mymusic and apps etc in a single place that looks the same on each of my PC's?
    Any ideas

    Thanks for the quick reply!
No, I simply went to Itunes, Library, Music. As you mention, I can't click and drag the folder, so I click and drag a section of songs at a time, but then they are all resorted to "by artist" instead of "by title".
All I am trying to do is create space on my internal hard drive by transferring ITunes to an external hard drive (so Time Machine is not an option). Any suggestions, or is what I am trying to do not possible?

  • Audigy 2 card with Audigy 2 ZS drivers and Live Driv

I recently bought a Li've!Dri'veII bay for my system. To use this I plugged it into my Audigy 2 Value card which I have had for about 2 years. The bay came bundled with a SoundBlaster Li've! Platinum.
I tried to install my drivers, but as a Platinum, but the Bay still did not respond, didnt send anything out or receive a signal in. There is definitely power because when I plug in the headphones you can hear some white noise, but thats it.
I searched round for a solution and one was to install the Audigy 2 ZS drivers. I did this by following the following instructions:
    http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?s&threadid=45004
This allowed me to also enable lots of extras such as the THX console and other stuff previously unused as my Audigy 2 drivers didnt have them.
    Now I have 2 problems:
    ) my Li've!Dri'veII Bay isn't working and
    2) In games I get sound glitches such as random noises that shouldnt be there, Missing noises such as gunshots are not heard or parts of the noise are missing.
So what do I need to do to sort this out, because I do wish to be able to use my system to its full potential.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

    David,
If you go into the surround mixer or Windows mixer do you see a listing for the front panel inputs (line in2/mic in2, Aux 2, etc)? If so, are any of them muted? If you go to start/programs/Creative/SB Audigy/Audio HQ/Device Settings, do you show a headphone tab? If so what options are enabled in there?
Double check your ribbon cable connection and maybe even swap sides of the cable.

  • Webcam Live! PRO drivers (help me choose..)

    Hello,
I see 2 drop-down entries for the camera source settings in Yahoo Messenger.
1 is Creative Webcam Live! Pro
2 is Creative Webcam Live! Pro (VFW)
    Which is the better one?
    Appreciate ur response.
    thanks

I found a fix that worked for me and I hope it works for anyone else experiencing the same issue. I had to Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values.
To Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values, follow these steps:
    1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER)
    2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{6BDDFC6-80F-D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
    3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
NEXT: I went to my Device Manager in Windows XP > IMAGING DEVICES > CREATIVE WEBCAM LIVE! ULTRA then right mouseclicked and chose DISABLE. I Then Right mouse clicked again and chose ENABLE. Then Wallah! My webcam led cam on and the darn thing started working again.
HOW I DISCOVERED WHAT TO DOI came across a link to a similar problem regarding a CD-Rom Driver install issue returning Error Code 9. This was the same error code that I recieved when trying to re-install my webcam drivers. So I poked around the registry near a similar path (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Class\) as mentioned in the article found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/34060/EN-US/ until I ran across an entry that said Imaging Devices in it.

  • Partition Hard Drive (?) & Drivers For Ubuntu

    Hello IBM Enthusiasts,
I just purchased a used Thinkpad T43 (Type: 1871, Model: 4AU).  It's a really good condition, and I am excited to begin using it.  However, of course, like any savvy PC user - I want to do the initial configurations to my "new" computer right - to avoid the most problems later on.  That's main reason for posting this - seeking advice to be able to do some of these configuration right myself - instead of spending over $100 to have it done at a local "ma and pa" computer shop ...
The first priority for me is running the latest version of Ubuntu (and no longer Windows - the laptop I bought has XP Pro on it currently).  I chose a Thinkpad specifically because I was informed that has no problem with driver compatibility with Linux/Ubuntu.  Windows is a virus cesspool and takes up too much RAM with all the "beefed-up graphics nonesense".  Windows 7 even - although it's all pretty-looking and soft your eyes - yeah, no thanks ...
So then, of course - I thought it might be good to partition the 80 GB hard drive - with Windows XP Pro able to boot on one partition, and then install and run Ubuntu on the other [smaller partition] perhaps.  Of course, ideally, I would also want boot/recovery disks created for both operating systems (Windows and Ubuntu).  This is Plan A.
After talking to one male geek over the phone today, I am realizing that doing the partition might be a really BAD idea - especially if I've never really done it myself on an IBM.  In addition, the software that you need to create the recovery/boot disks - will not operate properly - because it won't be able to distinguish one partition from the other. That type of software is usually only able to "perceive" the ENTIRE drive - not the partitions individually.  RIGHT?
Then I thought of Plan B.  Why not just create the recovery/boot disks for Windows XP Pro (the T43 can create boot disks - VERY nice feature) - and then wipe the drive and install Ubuntu - without doing any partition at all?  This way I can just re-install Windows XP Pro again with the recovery/boot disk I would create - if hard drive ever encountered any problems.
Which one would you folks suggest - Plan A or Plan B.  Which one avoids the most catastrophe later on - and less likely to invoke major problems - that disable my computer completely or cost too much to have repairs done?
Also - I know I can download and install Ubuntu myself.  However, DRIVERS.  Which drivers will I need to install for the latest version of Ubuntu - once it is installed?  Where can I find these drivers (besides on Lenovo's website)?
Will I have any problems with a wireless [driver] once having installed Ubuntu?
That is all.  Thanks so much!
    Peter Curry
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thank you "vijaysaradhi" !!!  THAT's ... AWESOME! T hat is EXACTLY what was I was looking for!  I marked your response as an "accepted solution".  Instead of wasting more time calling more people or researching online - even having to pay someone to configure my computer correctly with Ubuntu - you provided a method that allows me to do it all for FREE !!!
Couple questions for you, though.  As I mentioned in my initial post, I know that my Thinkpad T43 can create recovery/boot disks.  Is there any freeware or free programs out there that I can download and install - to allow me to create a recovery/boot disk for Windows XP - BEFORE I run Wubi?  Or should my Thinkpad T43 already have a program on there (IBM software)?  If it should already have it on there - what is it called?
Next question - so Wubi allows you to keep Windows on your computer, boot into and run Ubuntu - without having to create a partition.  OK - great.  However, I still want to make sure that computer will still not be left vulnerable to all the typical viruses to be acquired with Windows.  If I leave Windows installed on my computer, I am not going to get all those viruses - unless I am actuall BOOTED INTO and RUNNING Windows XP, RIGHT?  I would not be susceptible to those viruses if I am running Ubuntu, RIGHT?  This is my main reason for running Ubuntu instead of Windows - SECURITY.
So this recovery/boot disk - that I am aiming to create for Windows XP - would essentially act like a Windows XP installation disk?  Meaning - I can just reinsert it and reinstall Windows XP - if or when - I need to?
And HOW - do I boot into Ubuntu.  What F-key to have to press when the computer is booting up?  Or does Wubi guide me through this step?
Last question.  What types of anti-virus/anti-spyware exist for Ubuntu?  Any there any better free ones available.  Or does Ubuntu naturally come with its own security software?
    Thanks so much !!!

  • XP Service Pack 3 cripples live drive

% Once I upgrade to service pack 3 my li've dri've no longer works.
I have tried reinstalling the creative drivers, but Windows seems to re-install broken drivers.
After upgrading to service pack 3 none of my li've dri've inputs (mic/line2) show up in the windows or creative mixer.
    Please help!

)Re: XP Service Pack 3 cripples li've dri've? Dear fellow user:
I may be reaching a bit but I would like you to try something that is very simple. Go to your Creative software and verify in each program that your I/O dri've cannot be seen. Then shutdown the machine. UNPLUG THE i/o dri've with power and the ribbon cable. Restart the machine. Verify again that you have or do not have access to any of the features. (I know this sounds silly)? Then shutdown the machine and reconnect everything. This is similar to removing a device and letting windows redetect it. I have a very old (*998*) Creative Li've Dri've (precursor to the I/O dri'ves) that was not recognized in Windows XP nor Vista. Then I shutdown and replugged everything and rebooted and it was there again. This may sound funny I know, but it almost sounds like Windows just has not picked up the Li've Dri've on this pass. It COULD BE? a service pack 3 issue, but again please give my answer a try. If that does not work, reinstall your driver suite once on top of the Service pack 3 system again. Service packs are massi've updates to your system and it takes a bit to get everything refreshed.

  • My DVD drive works only as a CD drive - no drivers available at Toshiba or Microsoft

    Model: L755D-S5348
I just discovered that my brand new Toshiba Laptop, delivered at the end of December 2011, will not play DVD movies, read DVD data disks, nor even recognize that a disk is in the drive if it is a DVD. I have checked these disks in two other computers, and they run fine - they are KNOWN GOOD DISKS. This means that Toshiba is shipping laptops that are UNABLE TO FUNCTION for DVDs - reading or writing - any kind of DVD. Problem appears to be the driver - it is a plain vanilla CD-ROM driver, dated 2006. The various 'update' and 'fix-it' programs offered on this and the Microsoft forums, DO NOT ALLOW me to specify that the driver is for a DVD. They just detect the wrong type of drive, and proceed to install a CD-only driver. Then they are unable to detect a problem. Deleting the driver does no good - they just go back and replace with a CD-only driver. CDs work fine, but the drive won't recognize DVDs. The manufacturer of the DVD drive has no driver - Microsoft has no driver - Toshiba has no driver posted on their web site. This is unacceptable. I wish to return this laptop and purchase from a different manufacturer. The only reason I am outside the 30 day replacement period from my retailer is I did not happen to try a DVD until now. I never dreamed the DVD would simply refuse to work. There is NO damage or abuse to this laptop - I have been very careful with it. It is in pristine condition. The fact is, the DVD did not work at the time of shipping and Toshiba did not even test it. Unacceptable.

Drivers no longer need to be installed for CD or DVD drives. Windows handles that. It appears that you're simply having a problem with your computer.
You've tried uninstalled the ODD in Device Manager and letting Windows re-detect it, right?
Have you tried a recovery? Have you contacted customer support?

  • Boot Camp Assistant; Flash Drive; Missing Drivers

Hello, thanks in advance for any input.
I'm setting up Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro (OS X Version 10.8.2).
Boot Camp took about eight hours to generate my flash drive and download the required support drivers.
Windows 7 then installs without errors.
When finished it's missing most, if not all, of its drivers.
I've run through this five times now, each time being careful to make sure I'm downloading drivers.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Let me know what other details you need.
    Have a great one

I found it.  The directions mention drivers autorunning during step 4 (Page 7) or if that doesn't work to open the BootCamp folder.  It is on there, but it neither auto runs nor is it called BootCamp.  You'll find it instead under a folder called Windows Support.  Just run setup inside of there.

Which computer? There is a label on the bottom.
Exactly which hard drive is it? Give us the specific model so we can look it up.

If you have restored the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media, that probably means you restored to a drive with the new advanced-format technology.
    Try installing this driver.

  • Audigy2 live drive

Does the Audigy 2 Li've Dri've put an extra load on the pci bus when connected?
I have an Asrock 4core Dual Sata2 motherboard with an Intel E6600 Core 2 due and 2 gigs DDR2.
When the li've dri've is connected my system (xp home sp3) will crash ( randomly ). When the Li've Dri've is disconnected, the system is stable. I previously had the sound card running in other systems with no problems ( seemingly ).
When the Li've dri've is connected, dropping ram settings lower ( nothing is overclocked ) will help delay crashes but will not stop them completely.

I've been playing around a bit with some source code i found.
The actual soundblaster 6 emulation is performed by creative's own dos emulation drivers for Audigy cards. The emulation 'engine' works on a audigy2 but you don't get any sound because the output routing is diffirent.
That's where the Audigy2.exe patch i found comes in, it reroutes correctly, it isnt a driver, just a program that loads - routes the outputs - and exits and it works for the rear analog outputs.
Funny thing is, i found the sourcecode for this Audigy2 program and it includes code to enable the li'vedri've headphone outputs - but my headphones stay silent
The registers this program manipulates to enable those headphones are the same as those i find in some opensource audigy2 drivers for linux ...
perhaps diffirent versions of audigy2 use diffirent outputs for the headphones ?
It would b nice if any could tell me to wich digital output the li've headphones are connected to.Message Edited by Exo on 04-7-2006 09:37 AM

  • Webcam Live! Pro Drivers for Windows 7

According to the Creative Tech Support site, this model camera status is "End of Service", however can anybody indicate which other drivers might be used to resurrect their use on Win 7.
It seems odd that these otherwise effective units should be either constrained to XP or else 'junked' when upgrading to Win 7. I have tried several likely candidates but no joy to date.
    Any advice appreciated.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
I did some searching around in regards to the driver problem you are experiencing.  I found a past discussion about installing Windows 7 on the Yoga 2.  Apparently the missing driver is indeed for the screen rotation sensor, but unfortunately no one was able to find the needed driver for Windows 7.  Here is a link to that discussion for your reference.......

I have downloaded what looks like the correct path type thingy but it just says my hardware isn;t installed properly but that is the whole problem!!! any ideas please help.....i'm a music teacher and my classes are missing out!!!! awwww bless

Create a folder on the desktop name li've.
open the driver pack with winrar and then extract entire contents to said folder.
Remove the card from the computer and reboot.
Shutdown computer and put the card in PCI slot 4, or 3.
Reboot and when windows detects the card to install drivers point it to the folder on the desktop and hopefully it should find them.
Ok, give that a try to start with.

As i said in the title, IDT high def audio codecs for my machine are nowhere to be found and HP autodetect tool seems to think my laptop does not exist.

This is my laptop. Pretty old one, had it for 3 years now. Lately im experiencing audio trouble of 1-2 seconds delay between action and corresponding sound. For example, If i get an error, i hear the sound 2 seconds later.
According to my DxDiag the audio drivers are over 3 years old now, and i cannot for the life of me find any IDT drivers on the internet that are compatible with my machine.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

    Hello, @majogl
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you're looking to update the Audio driver. I will try to assist you with this.
Here is the drivers page for your notebook: HP Pavilion dv6-6130ec Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers.
The audio driver listed is the only one available for the notebook. I was however, able to find this one: IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver. Not much newer, but should work and is newer than the website.
Try it and see if it helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP forums.
