Live Green Screen Broadcast and Record - Which Software and hardware? DESPERATE

I want to setup a stand (for example in a shopping centre) where I can give the opportunity for people to star in their own movie and they will get a DVD straight after them being filmed.
Below is an example of what I mean:
There is a green screen with a toy car, big enough for a child to sit infront of the screen. A parent pays me for their child to star in their own movie. The child sits in the car for 3 minutes playing with the steering wheel and pretending to be in a race. This 3 minutes is recorded on a video camera, as well as the green screen being chromakeyed out showing the child in a race on a big TV that draws the crowds. Straight afterwards the customer is given a DVD of their movie.
further spec needed:
I want high definition footage for the Movie on DVD
I want to be able to record this footage as it is being shot - 4-5minutes from when the child sits in the car to getting the DVD as to maximise income/hour.
I am wanting to know which software of the Production Premium CS 5.5 software will stream it live to the TV and record it on the DVD on the computer - I know that I can stream it to the TV and use a DVD Recorder to tape whats on the TV, but apparently that is unreliable.

Thanks for the reply Mylenium.
None, plain and simple. You are looking completely in the wrong place. And it's not even a mere software problem. As a minor, you would still need a capture card to stream the camera via HDMI or professional video signals (HD SDI, YCbCr Component etc.) to your computer. It's nothing you can do with any standard graphics card. Depending on what else you require, you would probably need more specific hardware like a NewTek Tricaster or whatever...
Ok. I then will break it up. Is there any Prod Prem cs5.5 software that will live stream the chromakey footage to the TV? Surely there is a way to have a live feed from the camera to the computer without the need for hardware and then software that will stream it out to the TV - Apparently Wirecast can do this - does Adobe not have something similar ? I am going to be building a Computer around the above intended use, so a P2 Card Reader was suggested. The budget is R8000, or $800 for the exerything except the monitor.
That's impossible. Per spec, DVD can only record SD PAL/ NTSC. For HD, you would need a BluRay recorder and that's gonna cost you, especially since for what you have in mind only the more expensive BD-RE will do what you want and due to the strict licensing rules, BD recorders are far and few inbetween and thus expensive...
Mylenium
Thanks Mylenium for the clear reasons for this, I need a quality that is not pixelated to be displayed on a TV at home when the people take their DVD home to view. Suggestions on resolution?
HAs anyone else got any low budget solutions?
Some Context: I am teaching myself everything in order to do this - unemployed and know i can make this work though. I have never been involved in the field before I got this idea so I have great gaps of knowledge here.

  • Live Green Screen

Is there a way to do live green screen with imovie HD 6. If so how. I have a computer connected to a live tv feed, but I don't know how to put the two together. Thanks

iMovie doesn't support color-keying and it is not meant as a 'live' tool/'mixer', it is a post-production editing app for imports from camcorders..
    geethree.com offers a color-key plug-in, which allows blue/green-boxing..
do some research at sites as versiontracker.com, there's a wide range of socalled VJ software, .. not my domain, but those are meant for realtime-effects ..

  • Green screen filter and scaling down distorts image?

I captured footage from Digital Video Camcorder NTSC ZR30 MC (standard definition camera 2001?) through firewire connection. Footage was recorded in 12 bit rate. Captured in equivalent DV NTSC 32 kHz. Edited the footage using green screen, scaled down to about a quarter of the frame and used oval shape video generator.
Using FCP 0.6. After rendering all edited footage, it plays back digitally distorted (digital lines constructing the image are out of sync). When exported through Quick Time Movie the image remains distorted.
What can be the cause of that?
    Please help,
    Hazel

When you slow down footage you are creating frames where there were none before.  I'd suggest you do this in a two step process:
    1. Slow down your footage and render it.  export selfcontained movie, do not recompress all frames.
    2. re-import the slowed down footage and apply green screen filter.

  • Creating green screen vids and overlaying them on Flash sites

I've heard of a thing where I can record a video in front of
a green screen and create a flash movie to overlay on a flash
website. It almost looks like the person is living and walking
around on the site. Can some one please give me more info on this
and the tools I need to make this. I feel like I'd need the Media
Server to serve this, but I'd use Premiere to edit video, right?
    Thanks in advance.

Your thinking is correct. You'd use something like Premiere
to chroma key the green to a transparent background (I'm sure
there's a pile of tutorials out there), and encode to a Vp6 flv
(sorenson spark doesn't support alpha channel). Now you've got a
transparent video, and everything in your flash movie (at a lower
depth than that of your video object) will show through.
For delivery you could use FMS, but it wouldn't be a
requirement. You could just as well serve the video via http
    (progressive).

  • Using 2 green screen clips and need to resize as one

I am using 2 green screen clips - one is a prop and the other shows kids.  I have successfully loaded both into the Premiere timeline.  I would like for the two to act as one so that I can resize them at the same time so I can zoom in on the kids.   How do I link/group/??? them so they can be resized at the same time.   Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thank you.   Nesting worked and allowed me to zoom in.

  • Imovie 9 green screen -- audio and video editing problems

I seem to have discovered that once you add a video (the "front" part) to a background using green screen, you can no longer do certain edits on the front part's audio or video.
I tried to do a manual audio fade on a certain clip, and it didn't work.   Now I am trying to bring the entire audio for a certain clip down to zero, and even though the little speaker icon shows no sound waves, normal 100% sound is coming from the clip.
Likewise with the video.  I tried to do a Split Clip on the front part and it simply didn't work.
Anybody have some words of wisdom?  Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion Brad, that makes sense... However, I was hoping there was a "straight" iMovie solution.
I'd prefer to not have to 1) spend any money and 2) use a program to do something iMovie is already supposed to do.

  • Green Screen Keying and Rendering

After I've rendered what appears to be a moderatly accurate keying for my green screen video using chroma keying and after I render random patches of green reapear in the shots and all my keying was for nothing.
    Any solutions?!?
    Thanks!

There are many variations that can be applied to the keyer. Keep in mind that you can also keyframe the settings in the keyer.
Without knowing anything about your footage, i could assume that you shot it in the dark and that is why you are having trouble. Is your footage well lit? With good contrast between the subject and the greenscreen? There are so many variables that it would be impossible to suggest a simple solution.

  • Green Screen Backgrounds and Converter software

Hello all! I am a HS teacher and my students and I are making movies with IMovie to liven things up a bit. I want to put my students in the background of things like a basketball game and then move to the news room. I found free stock film for backgrounds, but generally I would have to covert it to fit a mov file. What is a good converter. Does anyone have any suggestions for some good backgrounds that I can use? I prefer free, but if there is a program under $100 that is awesome, please tell. Also can you rip off of Youtube and then sample bits from other peoples movies? I am sorry for so many questions. We just have no idea. THANK YOU!

Mpeg Streamclip (free), plus the perian.org plug-in-package is usually the 'swiss army knife' when it comes to conversion. for converting mpeg2 you need additionally the mp2-playback-component, apple.com/quicktime, 30$.

Do your own. nobody knows, what bg suits your needs most - nature photos? artistic abstract? apps like Apple's Keynote offer a wide variety of backgrounds. with paint apps a Pixelmator, 79$, you can instantly create colorful backgrounds.

  • Sb live 5.1 driver and hardware iss

hey i am having no luck installing this hardware with the unified driver package available on the site.... this card will install properly with the original cd that came with it but i no longer have it. i have seen several posts with the same issue and no moderator comments... is anyone woking on this issue (its been an issue for a long time) and can a moderator atleast tell us that we are not likely to get a fix/solution to this in a sticky so the people having these issues dont have to search through the forums to come to this conclusion themselves.
the only possible way i have to get this working is to unrar/uzip the driver exe and manually point windows to the drivers.... but none of the other features are installed and even after windows sees the hardware and is able to use it the autodetection that comes with the drivers can not. i am using this card primarily in linux since the open source alsa project has good support for it and harware mixing working but this really should have no issues in windows.
lastly, is it possible to get an original installation disk from creative?... the iso available on the forums does not work... it is the unified downloadable driver pkg set up in iso format.
    thanks

    JonnyBeGood,

  • Please answer once and for all the boot green screen

I have searched everywhere for an answer since my issue.
    Relevant info:
    iPhone 3GS.
    iTunes version 10.7.0.21 (2012-09-12).
Doesn't matter what system I have since this is related to an iPhone device.
Fully charged battery before proceeding with the update.
Updated the iOS 5.1.1 of the iPhone to iOS 6.0 through required update recommendation of iTunes.
Never been abused, jailbroken, serviced or dropped. (never had issues until the update)
Once completed the updated process of iTunes and iPhone was done with the internal installation, the iPhone rebooted with a green screen/hue and the apple logo was still original color "silver". It loaded up to the iPhone Configure screen still with green color screen/hue.
I pressed on the power button for 5 seconds and slide "slide to power off" and the iPhone turned off. I waited about 15 seconds and pressed on the power button to turn the iPhone back on, hoping no more green screen/hue and the apple logo was still original color "silver" but returned to the original green screen/hue and the apple logo was still original color "silver".
    Failed!
It still showed green screen/hue and the apple logo was still original color "silver" and booted to the iPhone Configure screen still with green color screen/hue.
Remedies tried after searching the internet:
    Hard Restart/Reset.
DFU Mode. (even tried a restore process with iTunes again *so much time wasted to obtain the iOS download again*
Recovery Mode (even tried a restore process with iTunes again *so much time wasted to obtain the iOS download again*
Recovery from Backup is denied because previous version was iOS 5.1.1 and iTunes refuses the process so (even tried a restore process with iTunes again *so much time wasted to obtain the iOS download again*
Left the iPhone at the Configure screen until battery drained and then plugged it back into the USB port of system until it charged long enough for the iPhone to boot yet again green screen/hue and the apple logo was still original color "silver". It booted to the iPhone Configure screen which is still the green screen/hue and I left it charging until battery icon top right showed full.
Now, can someone give a straight answer while staying on this topic about this issue, please?
*I can understand if the apple logo was green then it could be a screen issue but it is not the case.
All help is greatly appreciated even if you took the time to read all of this but did not answer.
    Thank you!

using a database instead of XML as the data source; in case you
    want to see it:

    At first I had troubles similar to what you describe;
initially, part of the problem was that my hosting company had not

upload to your server, upload the entire ‘bin’ (or
whatever your output folder is) minus the debug SWF.

  • Can I use two different greens for green screening and keep one without it being keyed out?

I am using a green screen which is your standard light green fabric.
I am also wearing a bottle green cape.
I want to key out the standard green which is no problem. However it also takes out the bottle green on my cape.
Is there a way on either Premiere Pro or After Effects to ensure the bottle green stays as it is without being automatically keyed out?
    Many thanks.

There's your answer, most likely.  I can think of a few methods you might try, but they're going to be labor intensive, and likely involve some roto.
Most keyers have a threshold setting that determines what colors stay and which ones go.  You could keep tweaking that setting in very small increments, and if you get lucky, it might discriminate between two green values.
You might be able to precomp in Ae and use the Change Color plug to shift one of them to a more contrasty green or different hue altogether and create a luma matte.
But, you failed green screen 101, and you gotta' go to detention.
robodog, you're being a bit harsh on Jimmy Simon.  He said "Might be worth a reshoot...."  I can't disagree.  Depending on arahman's situation, a reshoot might be easier and quicker.  You never know.

  • Blue/Green Screen And Multiple Cameras?

Next week a number of us are demonstrating Blue/Green Screen filming and editing to members of our video club who are not familiar with the technique.
Originally the person who thought up the idea intended to have 3 groups of people filming a 2 minute script on a "station platform" a la "Brief Encounter".
So far, so good, but then the creator of the idea suggested we should shoot each scene with 2 or 3 cameras to make it look more professional.
I don't like complications when the aim is to demonstrate a technique, but somebody has suggested there will be a further drawback.
When we cut from one camera to another during editing, the angle of the "actors" will alter but the background will not!
This will create the equivalent of a jump-cut.
Has anyone done such a shoot, experienced this problem or found a (reasonably simple) solution?
My idea of a solution is to have one camera in a fixed position! But, then, I am lazy.

    Hi Ian
You know me and my speculations (what You got without enough Know-How)
But I would try to first apply Green-screen effect to one Camera angle
at a time. Then I can get another background for Camera two etc.
Then save these as QT full quality .mov (or rather back to Camera and new tape
feel much safer this way) and re-import then and now prepare
for multi angle cutting. (By putting one Camera on each track. Minimizing size
to 25% and locate each to one separate corner)
Now playback and I will in Canvas see all Cameras in each corner and can by using
transparicy adjuts which one to be seen.
Then as a last action - upscale all to 100%
    Done
But as You see this is me just speculating. I fell for FC-Pro and the MultiCam
    function here. It's fantastic.
