Live Monitor Cannot Access since new MB

I jsut installed a KT3 Ultra 2 with a fresh install of Win2000. I installed the Live bios2 and monitor utility and then went to bed.
Today I have not been able to connect usig the live monitor utility at all. I had a Kt 266 pro2 prior and had not problems connecting.
Everything else is the same even the memory and video card.
Any ideas as to why I cannot connect?
Obviously I am not having any problems connecting to the internet.
Thanks

  • Cannot access my new database. -listener-?

Hi everyone. Please help me as I am [still] new to Oracle.
Installing Oracle9iDB version 2 on windows xpPro, enough gigs and ram.
This is a DEVELOPMENT machine and I need to access the database locally on this machine.
I have installed twice. The first time I chose one of the pre-defiend databases and I had no problem accessing it with a variety of tools.
But when I added my own [empty] database, hoping to create tables via SQL+ or other tools, I couldn't get rights or access it.
So, I deleted the entire shelack-bang and re-installed, this time telling it that I don't want ANY pre-defined anything, database samples, or schemas. I need to try this like I will by my customer.
Ok. So it let me create a database, via the wizard, assign a SYS password.
I also setup a LISTENER (although I suspect something is wrong there).
BUT, if I try to access it via the EMP(locally) it tells me that there is no LISTENER, although there is!
Also SQL+ does not allow access, but maybe I don't understand what HOST_NAME to supply.
Question. Since for now, I am using the same machine for the database server as well as the client connectiong to it, do I still want the listener to use tcp? (I also tried nmp and it didn't help.)
Oh, the administration tool does show that the database is UP and running.
I am willing to UN-INSTALL and erase every iota of the previous installs. (Please tell me how.)
Can you please tell me what to watch out for when installing again?
Do I need to reintall to get it straight?
    Thank you all in advance.
    -Nat

    Thank you.
I have since re-installed, this time allowed it to create a general-purpose database, and all is well. I can now access both, the gp database and the database I am designing/learning/training.
    Thanks again.

  • I have my iTunes library on external drive and can access from any PC. However I cannot access from new MacBokk Air.

My iTunes library is on an external drive and been using it on two PCs with no problem.
Now that I got a new MacBook Air I want to access the same iTunes library from the external drive and keep all the library and media on that external drive.
When I try to change to another iTunes library by hitting "option" with iTunes and select the library on the external hard drive I get the following message:
"The iTunes library file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do noy have write permission for this file."
I have read many posts in which many suggest to go to the library or media file on the PC and right click to make sure the read only tab is not checked.
I uncheked the read only tab and gave full permission to all the iTunes files and folders.
The unusual part is that I can use this external drive on many PCs that I have tried with no problem at all.
I just select a different library, which is on my external hard drive and everything works, play lists and everything.
However, when I try it on a MAC i get the message stated above:
What can I do to be able to access my External iTunes library from new MacBook Air while keeping everything on the external drive like I can on PCs?
I am running latest version of iTunes and Mavericks.
    Please advise.

My iPhone recently broke so I was sent a brand new iPhone to replace it, however, since receiving this phone, I cannot access anything which was previously backed up onto iCloud from my last iPhone. Please help me!

If you are trying to restore to an iCloud backup, this has to be done during the initial setup process.  If your phone is already set up, you will have to go back to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content & Settings, then go back through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to complete.
Also, your replacement phone must be running the same iOS version or higher to restore to your backup.  If you are running an older version of iOS than the device that was backed up, your backup will not be visible when you choose to restore to your iCloud backup.  If this is the case, you'll have to update your replacement phone first.

    Cannot access desktop

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Cannot access Photoshop CC (2014) since last major update

Since the new update, I cannot access Photoshop CC (2014). I always receive a Window message:

Should I uninstall the app and install it again? Good thing I still have an older version, but would prefer to use the new one.
I'm working on an important project, don't really have time to investigate. Any hep would be appreciated.

  • Cannot access new Harmony download

I went to download the new Harmony update and all I get is a page up that says "This Webpage is not Available".  So I cannot access it.  Now...  I'm not sure that this is the download page actually.  Since I got this computer (early January) there are many websites (like stores or once even MSN.com) where I will get this message and I AM connected and I can get to other sites and sometimes - at a later date - I can get to the same site I tried previously. Or I will be on a site browsing and try to go to a different page on the site and suddenly it won't let me access anything on that site anymore.  I have no idea why this happens.  I have checked my security settings and have no reason to think they are being blocked for that reason (Cabela's?) - but regardless, at the moment I cannot get this download.
Maybe this should be a question about why my computer decides that I cannot access certain websites at a seemingly random pattern more than the Harmony app.  When it happens I will try the same site on 3 browsers....  Chrome, IE and Firefox.  All will be the same.
Any thoughts?  I had problems with Harmony in the past and do not have it on my computer now (had to go through the forum to figure out how to unintall is because it was freezing up my computer).  Wanted to try the new version.
I will try to access it again later, but this business of not being able to access websites in general that I should be able to is very frustrating and I'm pretty sure it's somehow related to the computer - although I can't imagine how.

No I do not. After I posted this I tried to get back to the Lenovo Support page I had just been at (including this forum) and I couldn't. After some frustration I rebooted the computer and was able to get to the site, download Harmony (and it works!).
I just don't understand why suddenly it won't allow me to sites I've just been on and then it will let me on the same sites later.
I am using a personal hotspot but the connection does not waiver (like I said I can go right to another site easily) and I can access the sites on my phone that I can't on the computer.
It also doesn't happen on an HP laptop with the hotspot. Only on the Yoga.
