Live Monitor URL prob!!

When I try and use "Live Monitor" it now says "The URL is Invalid"... i know I can update via "Live Update" ok, but what happened to the Monitor???? i like my taskbar utilities....
Thanks...

I had the same problem.  I think it was when I was using bios version 1.5.
But if you  have the latest bios and live update it should work properly everytime as mine is currently working, I just checked.
Also, if you uninstall and reinstall the version of live update that you have, it should work at least one time, then you can view last result as many times as you want.  Why it does this I don't know. The reason I mention this, is if you want to use the utility to GET the latest bios and live update.

  • Anyone having "URL not valid" error from Live Monitor?

I sent a support email to MSI, but they are on vacation till the 5th.  I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.  Below is the message to MSI support:
    Quote
MSI Live Monitor has started to behave strangely.  Yesterday I clicked auto-search and the dialog box came up as normal, I clicked "next," and an error message came up with the heading "LMonitor" and "The url is invalid."  So, I closed it and restarted Live Monitor.  I tried it again and received the same error message.  I uninstalled Live Monitor, (I didn't delete a file Windows stated as shared) and downloaded Live Monitor from the website.  Installed Live Monitor, started it from the installation, and ran auto search. It worked this time. But, I then tried it again, and again, the same error message occured.  I rebooted, and tried auto-serch again--once again, the error message occurred.  Anyway, prior to yesterday it seemed to be working fine. I did a second uninstall, and re-install. Again, it worked one time and the second time the error message occurred

    CCB33,
I haven't received a response yet, but MSI has only been back since the 6th,  and after that kind of time out I bet they have a lot of emails to answer.  Funny thing about your post on this thread.  Just before I read it, I tried MSI Live Monitor and had the same thing ocurr. So, I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and it worked the first time.  I then crossed my fingers and toes, exited the program, restarted the program, tried auto-search, and IT WORKED!  No error message appeared.  I exited again, and restarted the program -- it worked again. Woohoo! This time after exiting the result window and the program still running, I then tried the auto-search which worked yet again.  It seems it's functioning now.  If I were you I'd uninstall the program and reinstall it again(I downloaded it from the MSI website ( http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_liveupdate.php ).  I'll try it again tomorrow and see if it still works.
Edit: This morning, USA eastern time, I tried it and it worked.  This afternoon I don't get the error but a message stating the server may be busy or no internet connectio. Seems to be working fine now.

  • Live Monitor Scripting Error

It appears that something in the following Microsoft Update causes a scripting error in MSI Live Monitor.
    The update details are below:
813489: April 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
The scripting error occurs immediately after you click "Next" following the completion of the "Auto Search".
The problem began immediately after installing this MS Update and was resolved when this update was removed.

The scripting error that occurs is detailed below:
Source: Internet Explorer Script Error (window title)
    Line:   56
    Char:   1
    Error:  Access is denied.
    Code:   0
    URL:    http://tw.msi.com.tw/autobios/VerChk/XSeries.asp?MSIOCXVersion=3.37.000&WorkFunction=LMonitor&WorkPath=C:Program%20FilesMSILive%20Update%202
The window has a prompt asking if you wish to continue running scripts on this page. Clicking Yes vs No both leave you with a blank MSI Live Monitor screen.
I reinstalled the MS 813489: April 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 to recreate the script error.

  • Multiple Instruments with Live Monitoring?

I am using Logic 9 for live performance + multitrack recording. I have just used a single virtual instrument on its own channel strip; Superior Drummer receiving midi channel 10. I select the channel strip in the Arrange window, with Record enabled, and voila .... live monitoring of the drums.
But, now I am adding a second virtual instrument on another channels strip; WIVI Band receiving on midi channel 11, 12, and 13.
The problem is that I am only able to live monitor the output from one of the instrument channel strips at a time (the one that is selected in the Arrange window. How do I live monitor both (multiple) instruments? I want to do this regardless of whether the transport is moving or not....
    Thanks in advance...

    Settings/Recording...
    Enable:  Auto Demix By Channel
Tracks have to be record enabled otherwise only the selected track will play.
To add to this... each virtual instrument will need to be on it's own MIDI channel plus your Master keyboard needs to be able to switch output channels to hear each instrument.
Note: Logic's Settings are on a per song/project basis.
Logic's Preferences are Global and will not change for each project.

  • Live monitoring of sip usage

Regular PBX systems often times have a live monitoring tool you can use to see who is currently on the phone and who isn't and it operates in real time.
Does Lync have a feature like this? We are rolling out a flow blown Lync platform and would like a tool like this.
    Any ideas or feedback? Thanks!

Not natively.  Call records aren't written to the LCSCdr database until they're complete these days.  We can see how many calls are in progress by querying mediation servers, but not the from/to until the calls are complete.  You'll need
a third party tool like Event Zero's Dossier to pull this info:

  • Live Monitoring for ColdFusion MX Enterprise

    Hi,
we just upgraded from ColdFusion MX 7 Professional to the
Enterprise Version. It seems that there is no support for the win
performance monitor, to live monitor the single server instances
(we're using win2003 server, ms sql2k). So could anyone give a few
hints how to achieve such thing? We thought about monitoring the
jrun metrics, but struggeling with visualizing this data. Also it
would be nice to monitor some specific values notify admins in case
    of problems.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi,
The performance monitor option is disabled in J2EE
Configuration... You need to go for some products like 'Seefusion'
or 'Vantage' if you want to accomplish the performance

  • Live Monitor doesn't detects my updates

    Hello all
Been browsing arround the forums, but could't realy find this issue
    Question #1
I have installed a brand new windows, and the first thing I installed was LiveMonitor ver 3. I leted LM (LiveMonitor) detect what drivers needing updates, DL:ed them and installed them. After several reboots I had installed them all I though  . So I rerunned LM and did another autocheck, and I got exactly the same result!
I went in and checked the driver versions manualy in DeviceManager, and there all drivers look updated.
    The system I have is:
    MSI RS480M2-IL
    AMD Athlon 3500+ (130nm)
2*512 MB kingston KHX3200UL HyperX (I can't understand if that is an OK mem or not)
    Question #2
Should I be able to run a 64-bit OS on this machine? I tried both Microsoftand Novell (SUSE). The Linux fails initializing a table while mounting SWAP, and stands in a DoNothingLoop. Numlock and CapsLock works fine though. When trying to boot from MS 64 bit CD, the computer doesn't detect it sa bootable . I even tried DL and ISO  , burned it and got the same problem
    well, thanx in advance and

Live Monitor and Live update only properly detect MSI's own drivers. If you installed Windows without using the MB CD with MSI's drivers or got them from a site on the web other than MSI then they won';t be properly detected. No matter as most of the drivers at MSI or on the CD are dated anyways. Better to roll your own setup than to deal with older drivers.

my take is... don't update if nothing breaks in your system. These are very fundamental drivers, the LAN and the Audio, most if not all of the features are already there and there won't be EXTRA features added by new updated drivers. Don't hope much! and don't update unless you really think it's necessary. Just my piece of advice. :D
    I second to Maesus advice.
