Live Monitoring for ColdFusion MX Enterprise

Hi,
we just upgraded from ColdFusion MX 7 Professional to the
Enterprise Version. It seems that there is no support for the win
performance monitor, to live monitor the single server instances
(we're using win2003 server, ms sql2k). So could anyone give a few
hints how to achieve such thing? We thought about monitoring the
jrun metrics, but struggeling with visualizing this data. Also it
would be nice to monitor some specific values notify admins in case
of problems.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Sebastian

Hi,
The performance monitor option is disabled in J2EE
Configuration... You need to go for some products like 'Seefusion'
or 'Vantage' if you want to accomplish the performance
monitoring...

    Hello,
I have UCCX, CUCM and AQM 9.1 version:
    UCCX  System version: 9.0.2.11002-27
i am unable to see one user in AQM live monitoring.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply,
Actually the competency lever of all 3 agents are same . but other 2 agents are getting call.
I tried by keeping the competency level High for this particular agents and Resource Selection Criteria* is most skiiled --no use.
I tried this only one agent in the CSQ but call is not landing
I tried with only one Skill (for what call is not landing) and tried -- no use.

  • New monitoring tool for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP2 & higher

Did you know that there is a new monitoring tool available for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1?
It produces reports that summarise the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise system landscape and its configuration, helps out with troubleshooting issues and points out areas of concern.
It also delivers a lot of help with troubleshooting issues via Wily Introscope monitoring dashboards, an 'investigator' and transaction tracing.
You can read more about it in this blog: /people/miles.escow/blog/2010/12/01/remote-support-component

I am not stopping ColdFusion, in fact I am using it more than ever now, but I no longer need this particular license.  I have cleared this license with Adobe.  I have a copy of that chat if you want reassurance.
    Cheers,
    John

The version I am selling is not second hand but actually 3rd hand and it works like brand new and served me well for over a year.  Buying software this way (2nd, 3rd hand) makes perfect sense, it allows those of us with limited funds to swim with bigger fish, legally!  This version does not reqiure or even support activation or deactivation. Below is the transcript from Adobe support.  Please contact Adobe (http://www.adobe.com.support.contact) if you have any credible doubts. Any questions?  No transfer is happening.  No copy of the software is being made.  It is uninstalled then reinstalled. Single server usage is its primary limitation. If it were any simpler it would be featured on Sesame Street.

  • Server setup for Coldfusion 8

What would you recommend to be the best setup in terms of
memory, space, configuration of drive(s), etc if you were to put
Coldfusion 8 enterprise on a Windows server? Let's look at it not
from the minimum requirements perspective, but maximum.
    Thanks.

As rwstoner states, CF can be a beast. But it all depends on
your application. If you've got a basic application or suite of
applications, then you don't need that much hardware.
I've got to work with an application that does a fantastic
job of stressing a dual socket, dual core 8GB machine with two
instances using a static 3GB of memroy.
I'm currently in the process of setting up a couple of big
quad socket, quad core machines with 16GB of memory and configured
to boot and run from a SAN. These two guys are going to take us to
3 instances with a static 4GB of memory per JVM per server.
I can't recommend enough getting a copy of Fusion Reactor to
monitor what your system is doing with the given applications
running on it and scaling from there.
There is also a lot of documentation out there about setting
up JVM's and multiple instances and best practice and all of that.
Might want to search around some for those docs.

  • Can I upgrade directly from ColdFusion 9 Enterprise to ColdFusion 11 Enterprise without going to 10 first?

Can I upgrade directly from ColdFusion 9 Enterprise to ColdFusion 11 Enterprise without going to 10 first?
For those who have done this,
    1.  What quirks did you find that you had to overcome in your installation (I know that everyone's environment is different and produces differest results)?
    2.  What part of your code broke for which you had to find fixes?
Tips and suggestions for a smooth installation, besides following the installation document.
    Thanks!

Create a car (archive file) in CF 9 enterprise which will capture all CF 9 settings like Data sources, Web services etc. Make sure when you are doing this, pop up blocker is disabled.
NOTE : While creating the archive file, give the full name with the absolute path in the package name. For example C:\Test\mypackage.car
Then move this car file into the server where you want to install CF 11. Install CF 11 and then  deploy this archive (car) file. All CF 9 settings will be migrated to CF 11 enterprise.
Else, if you want to install CF 11 on the same server where CF 11 is installed, then remove the connector for all the websites which are configured with CF 9, make sure the CF 9 services are running and then run the CF 11 installer and at the end of CF 11 installation, you will get a dialogue box which will ask you to migrate CF 9 settings in CF 11.
Run the Code Analyzer in CF 11 Administrator to check whether any the CF 9 code used in your application is breaking in CF 11 or not

  • Advice needed on monitor for Photoshop and Lightroom use

Hi. I am aserious amature photographer wishing to move to the next level and sell some of my work.
I just had a custom pc built to work with the new copies of Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3 I bought (lots or RAM and HD space, ssd, etc....)
The last piece of my system is to purchase a monitor. I want to be somewhere in the better then Best Buy but less than NEC/Eizo range in price, or between $500 - $900. I have worked with cameras since the early 80's and moved to digital several years ago but the only post processing I have done is with Photoshop Elements.  I would be doing mostly prints to sell but also need to have a web site to do so. Will also use the pc for daily net surfing... but do not game or watch a lot of video on the pc.
Being really new to this whole process I have a few questions.
The first thing I need to decide is whether I need to look for a wide gamut display or not.
I realize the whole chain must be 10 bit (Adobe -OS - graphics driver - graphics card - display port.
I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3, Win7 64 bit, Zotac ZT 50701 10M video card (which uses GeForce GTX 560  fermi and an nvidia chipset. It does have displayport). I am having a hard time determining whether my video card actually supports wide gamut (10bit).
Standard vs Wide Gamut? Is wide gamut important enough to deal with the issues it brings (calibration, viewing things other than PS and LR or color managed, which appear to be rare?) Is sRGB good enough for most prints (don't do fine art, mostly nature and portraits but starting to do some HRD things). If wide gamut is the way to go I have no problem with that and have the time to learn about calibration, color management, etc... But I also want to make sure the juice is worth the squeeze.
24" vs 27"? Is there any advantage to one or the other when editing photos?
IPS vs PLS? I realize they are similar but are there differences worth noting?
Glossy vs Matte Anti-Glare? seems to be a lot of comments regarding the anti-glare coating, mostly poor. Yet I can see issues using a glossy screen in my study with a window to my back.
One manufacturer vs another? I realize Eizo, NEC and LaCie are at the top of the heap. But with my budget, after upgrading my pc and camera equipment, I can't make that work now. So I need to choose from the next group down (Dell, HP, Samsung, Asus...)
One or two monitors? It looks like many (mid-grade) wide gamut monitors do a lousy job of displaying anything but color managed sites. Is that necessarily true of all the mid-grades? Or can some be used for graphics but as well for routine net surfing, MS Office, etc...? Or am I better off getting two monitors, one for graphics and one for the rest? That would pretty much limit me to 24" or less given my budget (used to using a Dell 21" TN monitor that oddly crapped out just as my new pc was done).
The more I read reviews the more confusing it gets. There seems to be a difference of opinion even among pros on whether to go wide gamut or stick with an easier sRGB. Realizing a standard gamut monitor would be cheaper, I do want to make the right decision up front, given my budget.
The one thing I have found astounding is that there is nowhere to actually see many of the monitors I am considering. We live in Nashville TN but my wife is from Atlanta Ga so we drove there a few weeks ago to visit family and for me to visit monitor shops. Even the largest ones there (Fry's and Microcenter) had minimal IPS monitors, a few Dells and HP's. The knowledge of their sales folks was so poor I finally gave up. Felt bad about this until I posted this on another board and got a reply from a guy in LA (second largest city in the US) that he wanted to see a particular monitor and there was no place even there to do so.
Anyhow, here is what I have considered:
24" Wide Gamut: Dell U2410 and Asus PA246Q. Dells appear to be good IF you get a good one. The Asus appears to be a clone of the Dell that gets a lot of good press.
27" Wide Gamut: Dell U2711 that also gets a ton of good reviews
24: Standard Gamut: Dell U2412 and HP ZR2440.
27" Standard Gamut: Samsung S27A850D and Apple Cinema- The Samsung uses PLS technology versus IPS while the Apple is a glossy screen that will work with a pc.
Sorry for the long post. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Not trying to talk you out of setting up a 10 bit pipeline, but it's still not very mature, and it really isn't a necessity to get a good editing experience.
Personally I find advantage in using two 4:3 ratio monitors for Photoshop work.  All my panels are on the right monitor, while pretty much the entire left one shows the Photoshop main window and the working canvas space.  My desktop is 3200 x 1200 pixels overall, and I find having the panels remain visible all the time is important.
Regarding whether a wide gamut is important...  Will you be printing to devices that deliver a wide gamut?  What other things will you be doing with your system?
It's not a no-brainer whether a wider gamut monitor is always "better" for everything, since it can accentuate the differences between the output from color-managed and non-color-managed applications, and it's definitely true that not everything is color-managed.  With a monitor that's close to sRGB, for example, you might find Internet Explorer output acceptable, while using a wide gamut monitor will result in garishly oversaturated IE displays.  On the other hand, FireFox (with a settings tweak) seems to get color management right, so there is an alternative.
I think, as John has implied above, you should work to get your head completely around how color-management works, soup to nuts.  If you don't, there will always be things that are a mystery or which surprise you at the wrong times.  Being able to order a print and have it come back with the expected color can be very important, as you might imagine.

We're having the same problem, although with CF11.

  • Good (cheap) second monitor for 20"CD

I am looking for a second (LCD) monitor for my 20" Core Duo. It doesn't need to be top of the line for video or photo editing or anything like that: I just want more real estate and want to take advantage of the Core Duo's ability to use extended desktop mode.
Anyway, does anyone have any tips on a good but cheap sceond monitor? I am looking at a 19" size.
So far, the best deal I have found is a Viewsonic 19" for $259 on ZipZoomFly (delivery included). It says it is Mac and PC compatible (says it will work with G3,G4,G5 Macs and that it has VGA for PC, so it should work with my intel iMac? I have a mini-DV to VGA adapter I bought with the machine.). I am familiar with Viewsonic and consider them to be ok.
    Any other suggestions?

Try a hardware calibrator one monitor at a time. They have gotten somewhat cheaper though no great bargains. You ran the expert mode Apple Colorsync calibrator on each by eye? If so didn't the color discrepancies appear then?
Any pro digital labs where you live - one here in Toronto will come and color match up to 5 monitors for $100.

  • Traffic monitor for WRT54GS-UK v5.1

    Hello all!
I know I can get software monitors for each PC/notebook that I want to monitor but for a very long time I've been interested to know how much bandwidth Xbox Live uses but have never found a way to do it.
As you can see from the title I have got a WRT54GS-UK v5.1 and it's running Linksys firmware v1.50.5.
Is there a way to find out this information without resorting to a third party firmware? Is there a software solution (free?) that can do this?
    Thank you in advance.

Go to ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/ and download log viewer utility for router…check whether it helps you or not.

Thanks for the question Sandoss. This is something that we all come across at sometime.
    Thanks & regards, Sumit Agrawal
The lack of this feature is an inexcusable oversight for an enterprise management product.  They have some serious lightweights making design decisions on the SCOM team. 5 thumbs down.
BTW the answer is probably LOTS of stuff. Literally 100's of workflows are running on any server.
The following OpsMgr DB query will list all running monitors on a server. Change the name of @srv. I think this works pretty well.  I'd like some feedback if something is missing.
    DECLARE @srv varchar(30)
SET @srv = 'your name here'
SELECT mon.displayName as monitor, bme.FullName,bme.DisplayName as object,
    case
        when s.HealthState = 1 then 'healthy'
        when s.HealthState = 2 then 'Warning'
        when s.HealthState = 3 then 'Critical'
        else 'N/A'
    end as Health
FROM state AS s WITH (NOLOCK)
left join BaseManagedEntity as bme WITH (NOLOCK) on s.basemanagedentityid = bme.basemanagedentityid
left join dbo.MonitorView Mon WITH (NOLOCK) on Mon.ID = s.monitorid
    where
    bme.FullName like '%' + @srv + '%'
    and s.HealthState <> 0
    and mon.IsInternalRollupMonitor = 0
    and mon.IsExternalRollupMonitor = 0
    order by bme.DisplayName, mon.displayName

  • Multiple Instruments with Live Monitoring?

I am using Logic 9 for live performance + multitrack recording. I have just used a single virtual instrument on its own channel strip; Superior Drummer receiving midi channel 10. I select the channel strip in the Arrange window, with Record enabled, and voila .... live monitoring of the drums.
But, now I am adding a second virtual instrument on another channels strip; WIVI Band receiving on midi channel 11, 12, and 13.
The problem is that I am only able to live monitor the output from one of the instrument channel strips at a time (the one that is selected in the Arrange window. How do I live monitor both (multiple) instruments? I want to do this regardless of whether the transport is moving or not....
    Thanks in advance...

    Settings/Recording...
    Enable:  Auto Demix By Channel
Tracks have to be record enabled otherwise only the selected track will play.
To add to this... each virtual instrument will need to be on it's own MIDI channel plus your Master keyboard needs to be able to switch output channels to hear each instrument.
Note: Logic's Settings are on a per song/project basis.
Logic's Preferences are Global and will not change for each project.
