Live office Import wizard Hangs

Hi all,  I have searched a lot on google and this forum too, however i am not able to solve my problem..
Problem: Whenever i click on any webi from webi list in Liveoffice import wizard, wizard hangs for few minutes and then gives some error . most of the times LO 99999.    I have reinstalled LO, Xcelsius but nothing is helping........i am not able to import any object in my spreadsheet.
if any one have faced same problem pls hlp me.

Hi Sambhavjain,
I saw something similar with a customer who had upgraded from SP3 to SP4 and this issue was introduced.
It seems to be a regression with SP4, or it is caused by the upgrade maybe affecting the war file deployment.
This is also another possibility, in which case you could try redeploying the war files - that may help.
If the problem persists following those steps, then I would advise that you trace the workflow and perhaps raise an SAP Support message so a Live Office engineer can investigate further.
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
Kind regards,
John

  • Import wizard has hanged for an hour; browser doesn't start

    1. I am trying to install Firefox. For the past hour it has been hanged at this point:
    Import Wizard
    Importing...
The following items are currently being imported...
    Internet Options
    Cookies
    Browsing History
    Favorites
    [<Back][Next>][Cancel]
All 3 buttons are grayed out, disabled.
    2. Internet Explorer is still working even though Firefox already set Firefox to be my default browser.
In Internet Explorer I tried to view http://www.mozilla.org
But Mozilla's site redirected Internet Explorer to http://www.mozilla.jp
At the bottom of http://www.mozilla.jp, I clicked on words "mozilla.org (グローバルサイト)".
Those words are a link to http://www.mozilla.org
But Mozilla's site redirected Internet Explorer to http://www.mozilla.jp
Now I'm stuck in an infinite loop too.
Every time I click on "mozilla.org (グローバルサイト)",
it repeatedly displays http://www.mozilla.jp with words at the bottom "mozilla.org (グローバルサイト)".
    3. Meanwhile, the Import Wizard is still hanged, and I still can't open Firefox as a browser.
    4. By the way, the reason Firefox is trying to install in English is that
a Google search for firefox showed site http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
and http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ did not redirect to mozilla.jp
    5. Meanwhile, the Import Wizard is still hanged, and I still can't open Firefox as a browser.
The OS is Windows 7 SP1 64-bit Japanese with all Windows Updates except that
Internet Explorer is version 10 because Internet Explorer 11 breaks Outlook 2003.

    As previously stated:
So in summary, not much damage has been done, but the hang of the original Import Wizard is not solved.
When the original Import Wizard hanged during installation, there was a Firefox icon on the desktop but double-clicking the icon did not start Firefox because there was already a firefox.exe process (the hanging installer) so it would not even be possible to do the procedure of "import from another browser". I did not know that it was hanging on favorites. In fact I think it was not hanging on favorites, it was probably hanging on history and it was hanging on abusing my Outlook.pst file because Outlook couldn't even run. I think it didn't reach the stage of importing favorites because that would come later than the hang of importing history.
But at the time, I didn't know what it was hanging on, it was just hanging there for an hour with the Cancel button grayed out (together with two other grayed out buttons). I thought I was going to have to use Windows Task Manager to kill the installer and then uninstall whatever amount of Firefox had been installed. But I tried the [X] in the upper right corner and it did work more or less, even though the Cancel button didn't.
The original problem is not solved.
Also the abuse of Outlook.pst is not solved. Why would Firefox (not Thunderbird) prevent Outlook from accessing Outlook.pst?
I do know that everyone's a volunteer and I can't complain the way I complain about Microsoft, but I can still say accurately that the problem is not solved. If you don't want to solve it then mark it WONTFIX, but don't pretend that you solved it.

  • CF9 installer hangs on import wizard

I'm working on a windows box installing CF9. The import wizard is hanging on "Import Settings". It just sits there. Whats worse, when I try to access the CF admin all it brings up is the same wizard! Is there a known way to bypass/fix this issue?
    Thanks!

A restart of the box worked

  • Xcelsius, Live Office, and Crystal Reports Migration Problem

    Hi Experts,
I have a problem when migrating Xcelsius dashboards from dev environment to production environment. In my dev environment, I have Crystal Reports which are published from BW dev environment and Xcelsius dashboards consuming the data in these Crystal Reports.
When I try to migrate from dev environment to production environment, I first transport Crystal Reports from BW dev environment to BW production environment and publish them to BOE production environment from BW production environment. Then I use Import Wizard to migrate Xcelsius dashboards from BOE dev environment to BOE production environment. But this way, the live office connections inside the Xcelsius dashboards break because the underlying Crystal Reports cannot be found.
The other option I can think of is migrating Crystal Reports using Import Wizard rather than transporting them to BW production environment and publishing them to BOE production environment from there. After the migration using Import Wizard, modify the database connection of these reports in CMC. I usually do this for Crystal Reports connecting other data source than BW. I haven't tried this with BW reports yet, because I think publishing is the right way to do it.
I'm on BO Edge 3.0, Crystal Reports 2008 V0, and Xcelisus 2008 SP1. And I don't have much upgrade options. Currently, I can only upgrade to BO Edge 3.1 and I don't think that makes any difference.
So how do you migrating Xcelsius dashboards, connecting to BW Crystal Reports via Live Office connection?
    Thanks,
    Robin

Edge 3.1 has quite a few bug fixes over 3.0 and then I believe you would want CR2008 SP1. But without upgrading anything BO products usually link information via unique identifiers such as the SI_CUID, If you use the IW for everything this is sure to be preserved. If not then I do not know but a good possibility from your symptoms is the CR SI_CUID may have been changed by the way you migrated it. If you are unable to make progress you may consider opening an incident with the BO deployment team but if it's a bug you will need to upgrade to 3.1.

  • Data not updated in the excel while using Live office

    Hi all,
I have a Trial balance Crystal report in BOE and have created a Live Office document connecting that report. Now I've imported that document to the Xcelsius environment.
In Xcelsius a Filter component having the YTD values as the Labels and its destination is bound to the cell having input to the Crystal report of the Live Office document. Now in the Preview mode when I change the select the year its corresponding data should be displayed in the Chart but unfortunately that's not that case. But when I change the year in Non Preview mode
    the data is getting updated.
    What could the error ?
    Thanks
    John

    Thanks Senthil, its working!!
But its taking lot of time for the data to get updated in the chart upon changing the year. Is there any way to speed up the process ?
    Thanks

    Hi Mahendra,
Confirm if you are getting the same issue outside Xcelsius  i.e in the Microsoft Excel.
Try refreshing the Live office objects in MS excel using the option "Refresh all objects "and then import  .xls it in Xcelsius.

  • Error LO 26603 crystal reports - live office - xcelsius

    Hello Experts,
I have the problem that I can not refresh data via Live Office in an Xcelsius Dashboard in the preview. When I try to refresh the data the following error occurs: Database logon failed. (LO26603)
To the scenario: I built a Crystal Reports report connecting to a SAP IS-U table and had imported it via Live Office in an Excel file. When I refresh the report in Excel it works fine. Then I opened a new file in Xcelsius and imported the Excel Spreadsheet. At this time it is still possible to refresh the report by starting it in the Excel workspace and logon at SAP IS-U.
But then I start the preview for the dashboard I first logon at BO-Enterprise and then the error occurs. I choose the Enterprise authentication. In this case I miss the logon-screen for the SAP IS-U. So I can not type the logon/user data.
I use the Xcelsius 2008 SP3 with FP3.2, Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and BO Integration Kit for SAP SP3.
Can anybody help me please. I need your help.

    Hello Alec,
    check out if this helps.

  • Live Office does not retain the Custom Sorting applied in a Webi report

    Hi,
We have a Webi report in which we applied "Custom Sorting" to sort the Business Names in the required order. However, when we import that to excel using live office, excel doesnt retain the same format and there are not much options that are available within xcelsius to do the sorting. I have gone through various posts here but none resolved this specific issue.
    Here is our environment:
    Xcelsius 4.5
    Live Office Frame work 11.5.5.525
    BOXI R2 SP1 and MHF1
I tried using different options under "Report View formatting" within live office options but none seem to have made any difference. Unfortunately we can't make any changes to the universe in this case. I checked for few paid addon's but they seem to be for Xcelsius 2008. We have a release next week and would appreciate if any of you can guide me to solve this issue.
    Thanks
    Pavan

    hi pavan
i can just tell you that i had no issues with custom column sorting in webi with Enterprise XI 3.0 and Xcelsius 2008.

  • Live Office: Database logon failed error

    Please help...Live Office problem...
    Am working in Xcelsius 2008.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
    1. I set up a Crystal Report using a Stored Procedure as the data provider.
    2. The Stored Procedure has a parameter built into it.
    3. When the report is refreshed within Crystal, the prompt dialog box is displayed; I fill in the desired value, and run. Everything comes back fine.
    4. Crystal Report is exported to the repository.
    5. In Excel, I inserted the Crystal Report using Live Office. It shows up as a Live Office object just fine.
    6. I bound an Excel cell to the prompt; when you change the value in the bound cell, the Live Office object refreshes and displays the correct results.
    7. In Xcelsius, I imported the Excel spreadsheet.
    8. I set up a Text component that is bound to the cell containing the parameter value. Also set up a Grid to display the results, and a Connection Refresh button to call the refresh. Added a Live Office Data Connection pointing to the Web Service URL for the report.
Note: When in Designer mode, if the value of the bound cell is changed, the results in the grid change accordingly.
    9.  When in Preview mode (or generated swf), if the Refresh button is pressed, a "User Identification" dialog box appears asking me to log on. The values it asks for are: System, User Name, Password, and Authentication.  I enter the same credentials as are within the Live Office settings in Excel, (which are working correctly), but receive an error "soapenv:Server.generalException: Database logon failed.".
Note - all the id's are synced up - Business Objects, Database, etc.
I've tried all kinds of combinations, but nothing gets me past this error. If I use any other server than the system one, the error message is "soapenv:Server.generalException: Server XXXXX not found or server may be down".
I've noticed that in Excel directly, when I open the spreadsheet and refresh the Live Office object, I am prompted to log on to the database where the stored procedure is being executed. This dialog box does not appear once the Excel sheet has been imported into Xcelsius. One of the combinations I tried in the "User Identification" dialog box was the name of the database server, that didn't work either.
I also tried creating the Live Office object directly within the Excel spreadsheet in Xcelsius, but then I was unable to bind the prompt value. Could never get the Live Office/Properties menu to appear.
    Ideas? Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!
    Stephanie

    Got it!
Here's what I had to do...
In the CMC, under Object/Process/Database for the Crystal Report -
    which says...
"Set the default information for logging onto the data source(s) automatically whenever the report is run."
The Database Connection option had to be set to "Use custom database logon information specified here" and
the When Viewing Report option set to "Use same database logon as when report is run".
Then everything works fine - prompts appear, and Xcelsius passes the log on information to the database correctly. Stored procedure executes and returns the correct results.
Thanks to everyone for their help!

  • Live Office Document not opening in Excel

CA Forum: Xcelsius and Live Office
I have installed Live Office and I can connect to my CMS and my reports are visible. When I try and import one it goes through several dialogs of "Importing Report" and "Updating Data" but then it just returns to the Select Report screen and never actually OPENS the report. It feels to me like a display/control permission thing... but I have completely disabled my Symantec Firewall and I still have the same problem Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Live Office Connection not showing Go to Object Option

    Hi All,
i m using Xcelsius Enterprise 4.5. I have created a dashboard in which I m having a live office connection. I had added the live office connection from a Webi Report, Binded the Prompt and created a live office connection to the server. The report was working fine.
After a couple of days when I open the report again I find the Go to Object has been disabled in the report and the Modify Object shows only Properties option. The Refresh Object also does not work.
Could you tell me what has gone wrong and how to fix it.
    Thanks

I am still on Xcelsius 2008 but faced similar refresh disabled problems. May be this helps:
These days I maintain a Live Office Excel spreadsheet and import it into Xcelsius after any kind of changes.
You can maintain the data connections part within Xcelsius as required, but treat Live Office Excel report as a separate unit and set up all the refresh properties at report part level before you import it into and start developing the Xcelsius.
This way the refresh never gets affected and it works every time.

  • Live office logon error : LO02040

    Hi,
We are facing one strange issue in Live office
    Environment - BO XI 3.1 SP3 + FP 3.6
SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - BW as the source
We are using SAP aithentication. The user is imported to BO from SAP BW. The credentials were working fine till last week. Recently BO is upgraded from BO XI 3.1 Sp3 to Fp 3.6.
Now when the user is trying to login to Live office with SAP BW credentials the following error message is displayed
" An error occurred while logging on (LO02040)"
Failed while trying to logon user <username>#<password>. RFC Error : "LOGON_DATA_INCOMPLETE"
Its strange because all other users able to login and only this user is facing this issue.
Please let us know if anyone has faced this kind of issues and found any solution

    Sivakami

    Hi,
I have some more information that we found from the user!
We have Iviews created for BO reports in Portal.
Portal has SSO enabled to BW/BO. The user is able to logon to portal
with AD and SSO is working also. Because there are some WEBI reports in
portal which the user is able to execute. The issue comes when she
directly tries to login to LO or Infoview with SAP authentication.
When the user is logged on to portal in one IE window, and when she
opens infoview in the same IE as a different tab, it logs her in
without prompting for SAP password. But ultimately the user requires to
login to LOwith SAP authentication to refresh the MOnthly reports. Hope
these information helps to understand the issue better.
Thanks and waiting for a suggestion from anyone of you

  • BICS environment  with live Office or QAWS connection

we have a scenario where Hierarchy's  needs to be incorporated in the xcelsius dashboards, currently we have dashboards using live office and  using webi query we are building  hiearchey (L00, L01, L02, ..., L09) and we developed a  custom xcelsius component to display as Hiearchey  dropdown.
Now  we are moving to use BICS environment,  how can we leverage the Hierarchy like  senario (Hier is auth relevant) ??
is there any way we can leverage   live office or some other form of connections  when publishing to Net weaver Portal ??

    Hi Stratos,
it already takes about 15 minutes to display the option window.
When the option window appears and I enter my credentials for the login, that login requires another 10 minutes but finally succeeds.
After that the import of BO content works quite well. The delay only occurs during the starting phase of Live Office.
It seems that the whole application is not working properly.
The thing is, I already tried to reinstall Live Office once and the delay times are still there.
    Another idea?

  • Cannot open "data import wizard" in DTW

    Good Afternoon B1 Experts,
I have prepared BP data to import from DTW, however, after I logged into DTW and clicked on the Import button, it did not have any response and the Data Import Wizard screen did not open.  Has anybody encountered the same problem?  When I clicked on Log FIles button, it worked fine and a screen popped up.
I am wondering if re-installation would help solve the problem above  (Would prefer not to because our SAP B1 is installed on the Regional Head Office's server and it would be quite troublesome to reinstall DTW again)
Thanks and I appreciate your time in providing a response.
    Sunny

    Good Morning Gordon,
The current version that we are using is 2007A (8.00.180) SP:00 PL:45
Although it is the first time that I am using DTW, our US branch have used DTW last year to import data to their company file before and they had no such issue.  So it seems I am the only user that is getting the problem right now (new problem perhaps?).
