Live Office XI3.1 SP2

I get the following error message when trying to authenticate with Live Office (XI3.1 SP2) :
'Class not registered - Exception from HRESULT 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)
Any idea how to solve this ?

Hi Robin,
Previously it was working fine. Then I installed SP3 for LiveOffice XI 3.1 and then uninstalled it because of version mismatch with the server during connection.
So the error raised.
Please help me to resolve the issue.

    I found this internally
    We have purchased SAP Business Objects Enterprise and wanted to activate now Live Office, but don´t have a valid license-key. Is this part of the  BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 or does it need to be licensed separately ?
    SAP BOE Premium is enough to use Live Office. You have to install a license key for BOE Premium and you have to install the component Live office but no key for live office is needed. It is like an add-on like Desktop Intelligence etcu2026
    So to sum up, if you have a premium license, you don't need to buy any additional license for Live Office.

    We recently downloaded Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 and plan to upgrade soon. I have been unable to locate the Live Office files. I looked in the collaterals folder. Any response would be appreciated.

  • Live office database errors in Citrix - underlying WebI reports work fine

    Hi,
    We have a live office report with 30 tabs in the excel file i.e. 30 webi report parts in it. It accesses 20 webi reports, each built on a BEX query.
    Please see below the error which users get while running the report in Citrix environment. The underlying WebI report has no database errors, and we were able to run the Live Office reports at the same time on LAN. The Citirx users get these database/auth errors intermittently, on different tabs of the report at different times - the underlying BO reports are error free and users have proper rights to execute them.
    "An error occured while opening the report. The report does not exist; youhave insufficient rights to open the report; or you cannot make a connection to the BusinessObjects Web Service. (LO 02010)
    Failed to get the document information (LO 26315)
    A database error occured. The database error text is: ...."

    Hi,
    BO Version is BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP2.1
    Datasource - BEX queries BW Relese 701, support pack level 8
    We have made users login to Infoview and checked that they are able to execute the WebI reports. Also, earlier they were able to run all reports, so there is no access problem.
    These errors started occuring when we had to refersh BO Universes after some of the BEX queries changed. We even asked users to stop using the excel files on which they used to get errors, thinking the files may be corrupt. Then we sent them new files which we had successfully refershed at our end. But still they get these errors in their environment.

  • Deploy Live Office XI 3.1 on Websphere 6.1

    Hi everybody!
    I have a problem with Live Office XI 3.1 on a system that uses a Websphere 6.1 AS.
    If I point (from connect panel of LiveOffice) to the default Tomcat AS I'm able to use LiveOffice and connect to enterprise (BOE XI3.1) but, if I use Websphere I can't connect to the system.
    What I have to do?
    I use predeploy and then I manually deploy all Webapps inside WebSphere.
    All WebApps in WebSphere are flagged as started.

    First of all, thanks for the reply.
    Actually I use inside the options of LiveOffice this path:
    http://server:9080/dswsbobje/services/session
    and it doesn't work.
    If I try to reach that URL from my browser, I'm able to see the page.
    So what you suggest is to open the war file and then modify the path?
    Consider that we have installed BOE on the same machine of WebSphere.

    I have a dashboard which collects data via Live Office from a series of Webi documents and Crystal Reports.  I have found that if I create a report that has for instance sales regions down the left and months across the top using a cross tab in either Crystal Reports or as a Webi the data will only refresh within the current month, so for instance if I create the report in October the sales figure for October will update happily until the last day of the month but on the first of November no sales figures will show in the new month and I have to manually refresh the report in Xcelsius and issue a new Dashboard to my users.  This makes me wonder whether Cross Tab reports are actually supported via Live Office.  If I use formulas in Crystal Reports and manually build a report that looks like this but uses formulas it works fine, but is obviously a much slower process than simply building a Webi cross tab.

    Hi Rob,
    You can bind cross tab reports from your WebI reports into Xcelsius using an integration tool called[ Xcelsius Web Intelligence Intregration Suite|http://www.antivia.com/products-xcelsius.stm].
    This will give you the full functionality of Web Intelligence inside an Xcelsius dashboard- drill-down, cross tabs, even an ad hoc query panel, all bound into the Xcelsius interface.
    This would remove the need to use QaaWs or Live Office, so you can probably realize some performance gains and handle larger data volumes.

    If you want to combine advantages of easy connection design from QaaWS, with complex blocks & scheduling from LO, oyu may want to try BI Services (Web Intelligence report parts published as web services from WebI Rich Client since XI 3.1 SP2).
    This also provides access to report filters and drills.
    Benches have shown BI Services to be more efficient as compared with QaaWS, since they provide several setting parameters to tune consumption, leverage scheduling and avoid as much as possible DB round-trips (ie document refreshes) which you cannot really avoid with QaaWS.

  • Installation of Live Office; Update for Office 2003 (KB907417)

    We are trying to install BOBJ Edge  3.1 on windows server 2003 R2 sp2 and office 2003 sp3.
    Live Office installation is getting cancelled with the following message.
    "Produkt: BusinessObjects Live Office XI 3.1 -- Update for Office 2003 (KB907417) was not detected on this  machine. Please install the update and re-run setup."
    We installed the mentioned update on MS Office but the message did not disappear.
    Does anyone have any insight on this issue?
    One problem we are guessing is that of MS Office language. We have MS Office 2003 installaed in Swedish. Does any of you think that can be the reason.

    How can I get a client software version of Live Office.  My company has a temporary lisence for BOBJ and I want to test out Live Office. Where can I get this software?  Do I need to install it on my machine or does it have to be on the BOE server?

    if you are using XI R2 SP1.
    you can find it on the Sources CD, an extra CD comes with the businss objects SP1 software CDS.
    if you are using XI R2, you should have SP2 installed, to be able to get the live office, and you will find it in the productivity package.
    if you are using XI 3.0, you need to download the life office connector.
    you need to install it on the client machine.
    and over all you can download anything from the ESD website, if you have an access for it.

  • XCelsius Live Office objects and save loss

    Hi all,
    I'm observing an abnormal behavior using Live Office 3.1 fp 1.8 inside Xcelsius 2008 SP3.
    Iu2019ve built Live Office queries based on OLAP universe inside Xcelsius;
    all is ok but when I close and reopen Xcelsius the queries lost some
    object or some filter. In addition if I try to delete a query it
    disappears, but if I save, close and reopen the Xcelsius file it
    appears. It seems as if Iu2019m not able to delete Live Office objects, nor
    to make changes to query and so on. I've seen that this is a frequently
    discussed problem on various forum, but i never found solutions.
    Moreover i've observed the same behavior if i introduce through live office webi reports inside the dashboard: initially it seems ok, but after closing and re opening the XCelsius file, one or more reports disappear!!!
    Have you any workaround to solve this anomaly?

    As i said the following steps guide you to unlock the worbook.
    Try this out
    >>Office 2007 (Ribbon menu in Xcelsius or Excel). Select Review > Protect Workbook > Protect Structure and Windows.
    Office 2003 (menu only in Excel). Select Tools > Protection > Unprotect Workbook.
    >> You will be prompted for a password.
    >> This is the password (the O is an uppercase o):
    fazOh1+u
    >>  Click OK and the spreadsheet should no longer be locked.
    As far as i think still you are using SP1 or SP2.
    Please upgrade your Xcelsius SP and FP.
    Let me know if you have any issues.

  • Inserted object is missing (Live Office)

    Hi. I'm now using LiveOffice XI3.1 SP3 + Xcelsius 2008 SP4.
    I've inserted WebI object into cell "B2" and it works properly when I refresh the object. But after I save and re-open the file, I cannot see the object from "Go to object" menu.
    The problem is I cannot insert new object to the old cell (B2) or delete that missing object, the error message as below
    "Live Office has encountered a problem and cannot complete the requested action. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Unspecified error."

    The problem is that you might not be adding LiveOffice connection to Xcelsius by Data Manager.
    It is a mandatory step to preserve your LiveOffice connection into Xcelsius excel.

    I insert a chart of a Web Intelligence document into a PowerPoint slide.
    In the insert wizard, I change "Page Mode" to "Quick Mode".
    This error message pops up :
    An error occurred from viewer control. (LO 02029)
    Details :
    WSE839: An HTTP response was received that used the following content type: text/xml;charset=utf-8. The following content type was expected: multipart/related; type=application/xop+xml.
    This error message is not documented in on the SAP Support Portal.

    Are you useing Drill Filters ?
    Drills are not supported in Live Office.
    In SAP Business Objects 4.0, if the drill bar is enabled in Web Intelligence, an error message will be displayed as such: "An error occured from viewer control, (LO 02029)", with the details reading "This feature is not implemented (Error: RWI 00013)".

    Which LO version iis the latest with all fix packs? My LO version is 12.1.0.882 and does that indicate whether all latest fix packs
    are installed as of now?

    This version is XI 3.1. As of date, XI 3.1 SP2 is also available. However, please note that your client software and server software should be at the same patch level. In other words, you should not upgrade live office client to XI 3.1 SP2 if your Business Objects Enterprise is XI 3.1.

  • Live Office 3.1 Format Issue

    We're currently using Live Office 3.1 SP2 FP2.7 ( BO Enterprise is on the same FP level).  We noticed the following format issue when running a query in Word 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Outlook 2007.  The format issue does not occur in Excel 2007.
    When importing the results of a universe query which includes a measure, the numeric measure is imported into a Word document, PowerPoint presentation or Outlook email as a comma formatted decimal (i.e. 1,077.00).  This does not happen in Excel 2007 where the numeric measure is correctly imported as 1077 (the same result as in Webi).  In Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, the number needs to formatted manually in order to be correct.
    I have not yet found a Live Office option to store the measure in its original correct format rather than as a decimal.  Is there a way to fix this?
