Will a US or HK model iPad Mini (A1455) work in mainland China with a non-LTE sim? It looks like the mainland iPad Mini WiFi +Cell model will also be an A1455 and has all the same cell specs listed (except the LTE info). If I buy a US or HK iPad Mini, can I use a local Chinese sim while I'm in the mainland?

It wouldn't go to waste, someone will invariably buy it if it's brand new and still packaged and will pay more than $300, though probably not much more than the $330 CDN the stores in your neck of the woods charge before tax. You could net a cool $30 CDN if the exchange rate continues to hold up. That's $30 CDN for doing nothing.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I don't really know where else to put this.
So I'm planning to get an iPod Touch in Hong Kong (its cheap there, and no sales tax), but I live in Canada. So I'm wondering, is there any issue with getting a Touch there? Would I be able to get my iPod Touch serviced under Apple warranty here in Canada, even though I bought it in Hong Kong?

Hello, I have a 13" MacbookPro which I bought from the Israeli reseller (iDigital).
my warranty is about to end in a week and I want to buy the applecare.
The issue is that in my country (Israel) this plan cost about 390$ (140$ more than buying it on the apple online store). Can I buy the applecare from this website or from another country?
Is the local reseller must accept it?

No it doesn't matter but will Apple USA ship to Israel. Because to actualy use the Apple Care extended warranty you have to recieve the box it comes in and use a number on a card to register the Apple care to the Mac computer it is going to be used with.
If you ordered it today and it shipped tomorrow, which it won't because it is Sunday, would you recieve it within a week? I doubt it.
So go out on Monday to your local Apple store and buy it locally.

WLS app deployment -- does it matter where it's staged?

Newbie deployment question: I have a WAR file that I want to unzip to a directory, then install the app as an exploded directory.
At the point where I am deploying the app on the Managed Server in the Console, does it matter where this exploded directory is staged?
Or does it have to be stored in a particular stage directory known to WLS?

It is not required that the exploded directory should be known to WLS. But the directory should be accessible(read and write prmission) from the same user from WLS is running.

Right. But as I understand it, the aGPS is a function that speeds location using cell signals, but isn't necessary for the GPS signal. I can buy a plugin device that is a real GPS that I can use with my iPad mini. However, I would need an app for maps. I was wondering if anyone had used one of these.

Why does Keynote crash on iOS7 on my iPad Mini?

I upgraded my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini to iOS7. On iPhone the keynote, pages and numbers work and the old files were there but on my iPad it didn't bring from iCloud anything.... Why? I cannot figure out how to get files from iCloud to my iPad and on top of the misery those apps crash every time I try to create a new document. What is going on in here...? I deleted apps and installed the again but no help.

I have also been experiencing similar problems with iWork on my iPad Mini after upgrading to iOS 7. Pages, Numbers and Keynote crash upon lauch on my iPad mini with iOS 7 when iCloud is enabled (but work fine on my iPhone and on two other Macbook Air with OS X 10.9 - 13A603). No crash on the mini only when iCloud is disabled.
I moved all files out of iCloud to local storage, deleted and reinstalled the apps, deleted and recreated the iCloud account on the iPad mini but the problem persisted.
I sincerely hope that Apple Inc will solve this issue! Business users that choose Apple for cloud services must be able to rely on iCloud documents with reliable operation on both iOS and OS X.
Apple Inc, please keep us informed about what you are doing to solve this issue!

Image does not appear when publishing...does it matter where you import audio?

I have a power pc G4 with firewire ports. And I have a hp printer that has a 36 pin (mini) centronics parallel port. Does anybody makean adapter for this ?

An appropriate USB-to-parallel adapter would be needed in the first place (Mac drivers may or may not be available or required for this device). An adapter piece or cable combination would then have to be introduced in order to successfully connect to the special HP port. I have once helped doing this with a PC laptop (without a parallel port) and an HP LaserJet 1100; the difficult part was locating the adapter/cable for the latter. You may want to try an Internet search for a suitable supplier. This web page (found through a random Google search) could possibly be of interest.

I just got e new 7 port powered usb hub from Sitecom to connect a camera (once in a while) or card reader, printer(s), scanner, external drive etc. When I use one of the four ports on the backside of the iMac, only 1 -and only this one- specific port (let's name it "A" for now) of the Sitecom is recognised by the iMac. The other ports are not detected wether or not connected with an instrument.
But when I use the usb connection of the Apple-keyboard all of the 7 ports are detected.
What's wrong here?
